Locals gather at this spacious, casual Thai standby near the movie theater for classic dishes.
A surprising little spot with spectacular Thai food. I came with a group of 4, and not many places downtown Great Barrington are open for lunch. I am so glad Siam Square was because it was excellent. The pad Thai was among the best pad thais I’ve ever had, and I also enjoyed the massaman curry. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.
Some friends and I go here about every 2 weeks. They are consistently good. Do NOT order the Thai hot unless you can really handle SPICY, my friends tell me. But they have lots of non spicy things like cashew chicken, Thai dumplings... so much and the Thai tea is wonderful!
This would be my new go-to Thai food spot if it weren’t so far away! The noodles are incredible in texture and taste and the sauces are out of this world. My SO gets pad thai with chicken Thai Spicy, and unlike most places they really do make sure it has a nice kick. I’m a vegetarian and their pad see ew with tofu is amazing, the tofu isn’t spongey and perfectly crispy—lovely service and staff, definitely worth the trip!
Good food and good service. We went there for lunch and requested the outdoor seating since the weather was so nice. Our server was very friendly and quick. We ordered Thai iced tea, beef salad, Thai fried rice and pad Thai. The beef salad was a little meh but the beef portion was quite generous for the price. For the fried rice and pad Thai, we could make it ‘hot’, but the pad Thai was somehow hotter than the fried rice. But they were all delicious and we could’ve actually gone for the ‘Thai hot’. Anyway, it was a pleasant experience.
My wife and I came upon Siam Square serendipitously, on our way further along Main Street in Great Barrington to a late afternoon concert. We needed a bite to eat before a delayed supper later in the evening. Siam Square turned out to be the perfect choice. The atmosphere is handsome, quiet, gracious and friendly. For our modest nourishment we selected Potsticker and Tom Kha, and were greatly pleased - such taste and presentation! We highly recommend Siam Square.
Amazing place, wonderful food. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the service was so great. Would highly recommend.!
Service here was very quick and courteous. We were sat immediately upon entering, handed menus, and the server was taking our orders within just a few minutes.
The Thai beef teriyaki arrived after just about five minutes. It was coated in a blend of spicy seasonings, fried in thin strips, and served with a delicious Sriracha sauce. It had a nice crunch to it and the flavors blended nicely with the beef and sauce.
The main course was the drunken noodle, another spicy dish featuring stir-fried noodles, bamboo shoots, black soy sauce, and hot chili.
The flavors of both parts of the meal were perfect, with the flavors of the ingredients giving a good spicy kick without being overwhelming.
The prices for most of the entrees ranged between $12-24, so plan to spend a little here, but it's well worth it. I'll definitely be returning.

Nice place but food is nasty. Won’t ever go back.

Better than many reviews - good service though only one evening server! Tom Kar, green curry, good.
After a tiring hike at nearby Mt. Race, me and my bud ended up having our lunch here. I tried the Red curry and it was absolutely divine !

This was a great restaurant! Fast delivery, great food, Amazing service!!!
A nice place to eat when you have a chance. Especially if your craving for some home made Phad Thai. 10/10
Delicious curries. We ordered Thai-hot and it was fabulous (and HOT)
Amazing service, great food. Waitress was very courteous and expedited the order for our hungry kids. Thanks for a lovely dinner!
Delicious food y’all like the real deal, Thai food is the best they have amazing pen fried noodles. I love it there.
Food was great. Service was OK as they were really busy with take out orders. It's not the best atmosphere for dining in but the food was worth it.
Authentic, Thai! Excellent! Recommended Ginger dish!
They used to be great. But after an apparent change in ownership - or at least complete change in the staff - the quality of the food dropped. From best to worst in the area almost overnight.
I did take out but from what I could tell the inside was really nice. The food itself was fantastic, I got the Hot spice level Basil Chili Chicken and it was worth every bite. The veggie dumplings were to die for and the Thai dumplings were even better. I recommend to almost all of my customers when asked where good for is.
Came here for dinner on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised. The food was great as so was the service. We ordered many things, pad Thai, potstickers, pineapple rice, spicy eggplants, and drunken noodles and everything was delicious! 100% recommended
Just ok.
The food is excellent. I enjoy the refreshing passionate Thai cuisine. The service is wonderful and very hospitable. #admirer
Excellent food. Great vegetarian options.
Mildly good Thai food. Like most Thai restaurants in the Hudson Valley, the flavors (on non-curry dishes) are very very mild and the noodles are overcooked. Lovely service, though.
Nice place with good food and vegetarian options
Loved the food. Amazing service. Awesome vegetarian options. Must visit.
Amazing thai food. Must visit if in the area!
Food came out cold. The service was good though.
Absolutely delicious Thai. The basil chicken, curry, and fried rice were all so flavorful, and the service was courteous and extremely fast. If we are ever in Great Barrington again, we will eat here.
The food was absolutely superb and all the flavors was on point. The ambiance was inviting and the staff was very courteous hospitable. Enjoy the food very much.
Flavorful food.
I don't live in the area, but when I'm nearby, I always try to make time for Siam Square. The pad thai is excellent, best in the surrounding area. The decor is authentic, the location ideal, and the service is top-notch and genuine. Do yourself a favor - Siam Squares is worth a stop-in!
Typically good food, but they now give you a tragically small amount of rice for a curry entree. I was also charged an undisclosed “convenience fee“ when picking up an order that I didn’t notice until I got home. This was an order placed online with the total displayed to me before going to pick up the food, and the fee wasn’t listed.
The restaurant has a really good ambiance. It's decorated nicely. The ladies who served us (probably the owners) were really nice. They made us feel very welcomed. They have lota of vegetarian options which I appreciate very much. The vegetarian fried dumpling was really delicious. I so enjoyed the tofu lemongrass. My husband had pad see ew (spelling?) that was pretty good. Would recommend this place.
I went for takeout and got the pad thai, massaman curry, tom yum soup, spicy eggplant, and veg spring rolls. Everything was nice and spicy the way I asked while still being flavorful. Can't wait to order again.
My wife and I have traveled from Connecticut to Great Barrington and eaten here each time. We consider this our favorite Thai restaurant. Each time we have ordered something different and each time were delighted. The servers are very friendly and are knowledgeable about the food. It is always clean and quiet. We will be back.
Delish!
Love there food! Also they have updated a menu
So wonderful we ate here twice on our weekend trip! The food is fragrant and delicious with tender moist chicken and countless options for my vegetarian wife. Their curries are beautifully blended and flavorful, their fried tofu is crispy without being dry, and their pad thai is a perfect balance of noodles to vegetables and protein. But what makes the experience above and beyond is the kindness and open friendliness of "uncle" Mitch as the face of Siam Square. His unwavering smile and cheerful customer service is more than you expect from the man handing you menus, and his extra effort makes you feel at home and truly welcome. Mitch goes above and beyond in his duties to make your every visit special.
Amazing food.
Absolutely blown away by this place! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, the restaurant itself was cozy and clean. We got the fried potstickers and chicken satay for appetizers, pad Thai (pictured) and Thai fried rice for entrees, and we split the fried cheesecake for dessert everything was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great meal!
I unfortunately can’t recommend this restaurant. The people were nice and the service fast, but the food left a lot to be desired. The pad see ew was not the thick noodles that are supposed to be served with this dish, just store rice noodles that didn’t have much in the way of flavor. The egg rolls were fine but bland. The green curry didn’t have much flavor at all and the chicken was weirdly gamey and gross- couldn’t eat it.
Oh my gosh this place has an insanely delicious red curry dish (Thai spicy level). The staff was attentive courteous, professional. I'm so glad we found it will definitely go again, you have to check them out!
great food, nice atmosphere, will definitely eat here often ! :)
Wonderful restaurant. I was eating a special diet when I went and the staff helped me to stay with my plan. Will definitely go again and again. Local to my business too.
Everything was great. Veg Pad Thai was awesome. Only negative was fried banana was cold!
Staff was wonderful and the food was EXCELLENT ❤
Food fine. And they did better than cope on a Saturday night, Labor Day weekend.
The food was f$%king delicious but the service was painfully slow. I would eat there again with no hesitation but it would have to be take out. I don't have the patience to wait 3 hours to eat, on a Friday night.
The food taste is pretty good, esp. compared to what’s available in the area. That said, I don’t understand how I spent $60 on takeout for 3 entrees, with no rice or utensils included, and the portion sizes are barely enough for 2 people (which left overs were in our calculus for getting the 3rd dish). This is definitely a place I’d only go for a lunch special. Too expensive for what you get...
Awesome food.
Excellent Thai. Not just Pad Thai, but nice curries, dumplings, soups. Clean friendly, well organized. Everything you’d want in a local favorite. Kids laughing in the back a frequent bonus. Highly recommend
I guess for the area (lack of good cuisine) it was fine. But in general, was fairly generic Thai food.
Quaint and lovely family spot - perfect for apres ski with the kiddos
I had seafood pad Thai and it was amazing!
Try the take out and the food was great !
My hubs and I went to Siam square last night, and YUM, best Thai food we have had yet on the east coast!!! You’ve got to try to the drunken noodles and Siamese fried rice. Pair it all with a glass of wine and you’ve got a great meal!! Really great service and I cant wait to be back.
Delicious, fast service, affordable
Stopped here for lunch after hiking Indian Monument. The service was incredibly quick and the food was good. We ordered the ocean fried rice, siamese fried rice, and drunken noodles. Everything was great and the drunken noodles had a good level of spice and wok-hei.
My son order the fisherman madness and he said it was to die for. It pleased a little 11 year olds heart
We enjoyed takeout Monday night with classic Pad Thai and excellent chicken red curry - very fresh ingredients. Thailand used to be 16 hours away. Now it seems light years. I was reminded how valuable it is to have outposts of other cuisines and cultures
within our own community. I love Thai food and Siam Square is as good as the best in NYC and brings back memories of Bangkok and Chieng Mai. Good sized portions and very reasonable prices. I am going to start ordering regularly - we need to keep them nearby.
Please read this before go there,i had so many thai food before, but this is THE worst thai food i had, already failed at service, then i found A BUG IN MY TOM YUM SOUP! TOM YUCK SOUP MORE LIKE, and they didnt even say sorry! Grab the food and walked away, then my wife had red curry, barely any flavors besides just spicy, seems like they add water with some coconut milk, barely any curry taste too,
And i had pad thai noodle, but the taste was so heavy to the point all i taste was SOUR.
And the ice water was sitting there for so long when they first gave to us, you can see the ice was almost done melting, just tiny bit.
DO A BETTER JOB DAMN.
This is our favorite place to treat ourselves. The ambiance is beautiful and the duck is delicious!
Such a great place!
Decent decor. Excellent attentive service. The pad Thai was great. I had the tofu version and it was pretty good for fried tofu. They have a section of vegan/vegetarian options and are versatile in their options to allow you to customize the food to be vegan if you need that. I usually expect Asian places to give you unlimited hot green tea but this place charges $3 for tea. The tea is not fresh loose leaf tea. It's a teabag and not even the good kind.
Better than most local Thai. Well spiced, fresh ingredients and well presented.
Excellent authentic Thai food at attractive prices, above average based on our frequent culinary experiences.
Great food and friendly service.
I usually have a good experience when it comes to Thai Food but this was not the case.
Right from the start the main waitress was rude and yelling at the other staff members. When we placed the order, we (my family and I) were told that they couldn’t customized one of the plates for one of my kids (my kid doesn’t eat shrimp)
Excessive butter flavor for the seafood, broccoli was not cook well, some plates were dirty and water was not filtered.
I don’t think my family and I will come back to eat here again.
Dropped in for lunch and couldn't be happier. All of our selections were absolutely fresh and delicious, attractively plated and served by a friendly staff.
Nice atmosphere in a classic older building.
Excellent all around.
we went here on New Years day...they were swamped! only 2 staff serving, cleaning tables and taking the money...( i don't know who the management are but they let their staff down by not backing them up, but i am not reviewing the management, if I was it would be a minus 1.). but these two waiters did their best with people flooding in,, we waited an hour for our food, but it when it got there it was very good. we had spring rolls and one of their Pad Thai dishes,,, the staff, even though slammed, remained calm, polite and apologetic... I am looking forward to going back to this restaurant on a regular day and eating there again.....
Good food and good service.
Great service and food!
Excellent Curry...Mango Sticky Rice, Tofu Triangles, Thai Iced Tea and Pad Thai...great service!
Pa Thai tasted TERRIBLE!!!!!! Tasted like dog food
Yummy
Great food and service.
Great food
Very good Thai food. Portions were just right, presented beautifully. Ingredients were top notch, and very tasty. Attentive service, and affordable prices.
Good greek food
Excellent food and service
Always great food and service. One of our favorite restaurants.
Friendly responsive reception in a large room. Plenty of space. Food was reasonable good, no special comments.
Meals direct from the kitchen, hot and well-prepared.
Wonderful
Had the red curry and it was absolutely awful. Flavorless!!! Pad Thai tastes like it came out of a box!
Enjoyed our dinner!
I didn’t like the food I tried two different meals.
My daughter got food poisoning from eating their mango curry. We won't be going back.
Really great place, whenever I get hungry for duck and seafood I always drop by
Came just before their break between lunch and dinner to place a take out order. The host was very welcoming and provided water while I waited. The food was spot on and well packed for the trip home. Would love to dine their next time.
Consistent. Tom yum is spicy and flavorful. Will definitely clear up your sinuses! Love the Thai steamed dumplings.

Great food, service and ambience at reasonable prices. Would definitely eat here again.
Good

I live on the Cape and I love it more
Service is very good and my pa thai was great though if you get drunken noodles they give you it with the pa Thai noodle. The space was very calming and peaceful and all in all it was great
I am always treated like family.
Always delicious. Lots of people just walk by and don t even notice that place.
Good food, reasonable price and authentic!
Excellent Thai food with great service and priced accordingly.
Nice atmosphere. Good service
Love this place. Pricey, though.
Best Thai food ever!
We have eaten here for s decade and the food and service are always very good. This one place you can have a quiet conversation!
Not bad. Good price.
Food is good but service leaves much to be desired
Had a great lunch.
Nice atmosphere. Good food, well prepared.
Cozy place. Food was ok...
Great place !!!!
My wife and I have eaten here many times and sampled widely from the menu. We have never been disappointed. The panang curry is a favorite. We will certainly visit again.
