Welcome to Rice Thai Bistro 2024. We are now open under a new management.
Exquisitely savory tasty authentic Thai food. Moderately priced for quality and yummy tasty Thai food with good size portion. I cannot believe the pricing for the lunch combos. I didn’t know what to expect, perhaps smaller portion. Oh boy, I was wrong. I got the ka pow pork lunch combo which came with a sunny side up egg, som tum Thai (papaya salad), & sweet sticky rice pumpkin custard for only $13. With the inflation going right now, this is an unbeatable deal and most important of all, everything in this combo was amazingly fresh and delicious! I got other dishes too Egg Noodles with Red BBQ Pork, Nam Tok (Grilled) Pork Salad, Grilled Beef Salad, Hoi Tod, and Duck Noodle Soup. They also gave out Valentines special strawberry coconut jello desserts. Again everything was so delicious and satisfying. Thank you so much for the wonderful food and excellent experience (very helpful, accommodating, friendly staff; clean & welcoming ambiance). I will definitely comeback again and again. By far, Rice Thai Bistro (new management) is the best in town. Highly recommend this place!
The food was delicious. My partner and I got the Drunken Noodles (chicken and tofu, spicy), my kid had the Pad Thai (shrimp), and we shared an order of spring rolls. All of the food was well prepared and perfectly seasoned. Both my partner and I like spicy food and this hit the spot. The tofu in my dish was fried, which is my preference in this dish. My kid was a bit surprised that there was roast pork mixed in with their Pad Thai noodles, but as they like pork it was not an issue.
There are no photos because it smelled so good we devoured it before I remembered.
We will be ordering from here again in the future!
In town for work, place was recommended by hotel front desk employee when I checked. Did not disappoint, food was on point.got wonton wrap with pork and pad thai. Only regret was not asking for spicy level. Regardless the everything tasted great. Small dining area, but very clean and very quick amd friendly service. I'll be back when in the area for work again.
100% huge fan of Rice Thai bistro. The food is delicious and made with love. Every time we come in, the food gets better. And it’s so welcoming. The service is fantastic and the people friendly; always smiling.
Delicious foods! I tried their Som Tum Plara set with fried pork and pork rind. Super yummy. I would recommend for all the Thai friends. The Ba mee moo daeng and num tok are flavorful. I definitely will come back. I learned that they have vegan and vegetarian options too.
I love this Thai restaurant because I'm able to enjoy a dish available in California, MD. That dish is Khao Mun Gai Tod. I've also learned that one of the owner was a Co Owner of Thai Inter. She recommended I try Yum Eggplant as well, which I did, and I have two favorite dish at Rice Thai Bistro currently! Khao Mun Gai Tod is chicken cutlet marinated and fried to perfection served with ginger rice and sweet chili sauce for both contrast and compliment on flavor and texture. Yum Eggplant is a dish topped with mince white chicken meat and large shrimp with onions and lime juice for acidity and fresh taste. The next time I stop by I'll try the Som Tum Thai or Papaya Salad, Duck Noodles and One of their Bubble drinks. Not sure if they offer catering order, I'm sure it doesn't hurt to ask. Cheers!
Best tom yum soup I've ever had!! Not only was the flavor amazing, but it was packed full of mushrooms and chickens.

Amazing kapow chicken, basil fried rice, the basil flavor is so good. Worth adding to your restaurant rotation! 🇹🇭

This restaurant blew my mind. We recently moved to Frederick from the Germantown/Gaithersburg area and finding a nice Thai restaurant was one of our first priorities. After trying a few, we landed on Rice Thai Bistro which quickly became not only our favorite Thai in Frederick but one of our favorite in the region. The cooking is creative and well executed. Their best dishes have a way of balancing sweet, savory, and spicy in a way that I have not found anywhere else outside of thoughtful home cooking. We have been here a few times and everything has been excellent, but in particular the grilled duck fried rice with lychee and the pineapple fried rice with ketchup are phenomenal. I would never have thought to add ketchup to pineapple fried rice, but now that I've had it, it feels incomplete without it. The fried rice itself is delightful - soft, buttery, and slightly crispy. We also love the potstickers, cooked perfectly, soft in the center and crispy along the edges - these came free as a promotion, and we will now be ordering them every time. I do recommend going easy with the spice level - 1/5 or 2/5 is plenty. There is so much flavor in these dishes, and too much Thai spice may prevent you from enjoying it. The man who runs the restaurant is kind and sweet and will offer recommendations if you are not sure what to order. My only wish would be for them to expand their hours a bit - maybe close at 9 instead of 8 or stay open on Saturdays? We more often decide to order food on the nights when we work late, and with most restaurants open until 9 or 10, we end up wanting to order from this restaurant when they have just closed. But honestly, more power to them for keeping their time :-) The reviewer who gave this restaurant 1/5 stars is out to lunch - please give this place a try the next time you get that Thai food itch and help out a young business who are staying true to their vision.
Amazing family-run business. The flavors are phenomenal and the hospitality unmatched. If you’re in town for business or just a local looking to eat good - this family has it all. Thank you!
I ordered the fried pineapple rice with tofu. It was good, but next time I will order it with the ketchup. I hate the taste of ketchup and surprisingly they make this dish with it.
I got the stir fried squid and it was very tasty. I got the Tom yum soup and I thought they could have added more shrimp (only had 3 in it) but the taste was very good. The guy taking my order was super nice. I would eat there again.
We ordered take out. We love Thai food and we're looking for a yummy local spot but this wasn't it. Most of the food we threw away. It tasted odd and was way too spicy, despite us ordering a 2/5. We ordered soup, green curry, drunken noodles.Try another spot instead, this wasn't worth it.
