We've been coming to My Thai for years now not only for the delicious food, but for the warm service we are always met with. So first, the food. We have our go-to's and often crave the Crispy Chicken with Thai basil, the Papaya Salad (yum), and one of my absolute favorites being the Pad Woon Sen. But, other top dishes are the Pad See Ew, the Red Curry, the Garden Rolls, or the Pa-Ram Rong Song. My family of 5 always leaves happy with full bellies. And with any great restaurant that consistently delivers excellent food, they're only great when also delivering that excellent service as well. The owner, Nina, is so lovely. She is willing to make any type of accommodations, bring out new food she's trying out, and takes such pride in the art she delivers with your dishes. Our favorite server, Debbie, greets us with a hug each time and we absolutely love catching up and feel like we're family when there. Can't recommend enough!

Best Thai food in Frederick

Is it the best thai I’ve ever eaten? No. It was very good though. However- where they lacked in what I consider my personal tastes- they made up for hand over foot in customer service. I was grabbing food for while I was at the hospital. They offered me free lemon ginger tea while I waited for my food to finish and sent me off with a bag of plates/silverware and a box of pocky on the house and a prayer for my family. Will come back simply because they were so incredibly accommodating and kind. Thanks yall.

This is my favorite Thai food in all of Frederick. The ingredients are delicious and taste fresh.They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from. My favorites are sticky rice, pineapple rice, green curry and drunken noodles. I’ve only ever done take away but the inside looks nice. I just haven’t gotten around to eating in. I definitely recommend My Thai Restaurant.

Stopped into My Thai today with my wife on a whim, and I'm glad that we did! Our server, Debbie, was both friendly and efficient. The menu was extensive and varied (and while we were there, 2 other people came in and asked about items that were NOT on the menu, and the cook prepared them!). Soon after we ordered, Debbie brought out a tiny sample from the cook, just to make sure the "heat level" was just right, before they cooked all the food. The restaurant is small but very comfortable. Presentation of the food was beautiful, and the taste was even better. The owner, Nina, came out to make sure that we were happy, chatted a bit, and brought us another small dish that she thought we might enjoy trying-- a sliced, spiced pork dish that was also wonderful. I could go on in more detail, but suffice it to say that My Thai is a restaurant well worth visiting-- we'll certainly be going back, as we love Thai food and this was authentic and excellent.

My friends and I have wanted to go here for awhile but kept getting together on Sundays when it was closed. We finally got together to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday and made it over here together. It was wonderful! They were very accommodating for our large group during a busy dinner time. The food was all beautifully plated and delicious. They brought out a surprise gift for the birthday girl- fried ice cream with a mermaid tail candle in it and all sang happy birthday. And they have pocky as additional gifts to the two little girls we had in our group. Such above and beyond service!

3 stars because my "loyalty card" only works one way. The owner refused to honor my card even though there isn't an expiration date on it.
It would have taken the edge of had the owner taken 1 min to have a polite conversation about the refusal.
Maybe offered us a Complimentary dessert even, but, they left the conversation to the server. We were the only people in the restaurant so it seems it wouldn't have been too much of a stretch.

Very good food and quick service.

I ordered the seafood potak. It is described as hot. I would say that is as hot as ketchup. The broth however is sweeter than the thai ice tea I got. It has a good seafood presence but it's just way too sweet for my tastes.

The beef dish i got, the siam steakhouse, is one of the sloppiest dishes I've eaten in recent memory. The noodles were excessively overcooked, practically mush. The beef was excessively chewy, overcooked and covered in sauce to disguise how bad it was. The vegetables were raw. I personally don't like random raw broccoli/carrots and overcooked meat/ noodles together in a dish.

Frederick has a lot of good thai food. This isn't it. Even the rice tasted like leftover rice. Not a fan. I didn't like anything besides the thai iced tea.

Amazing restaurant. From the moment my mother and I walked through the door we were greeted by a really sweet waitress named Debbie. She was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the Singapore Noodles and Red Curry with Shrimp. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the taste was even better! While we were eating the owner (Nina) stopped at our table to ask us how the food was which I thought was very attentive. When we were finished she offered us watermelon slices as a nice way to end the meal. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in Frederick!

Hands down, the best and most authentic Thai food in Frederick! I've tried many over the years and this unassuming gem reminded me of my visit to Thailand years ago. Ordered beef panang, green curry and apps like curry puffs and egg rolls. Everything was superb. Ingredients were fresh, dishes bursting with flavor. I went home happy.

I dined last week at My Thai. They have completed their renovations and the restaurant looks really nice. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. I had the Massaman with Tofu and my friend had one of the Specials, Shrimp in a Clay pot. We started with the summer rolls and the duck appetizer. I also had the Thai coffee which had the perfect level of sweetness.
The owner let me know that they will accommodate vegetarians, vegans and Gluten free. I appreciate that, being a vegetarian

First time stopping in here And plan for many more after my first experience. Their food is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the garden rolls,the crispy Chicken, and the tom yum soup. So many wonderful options. If you have a hard time choosing. Just ask they have some amazing recommendations.

My Thai has finally reopened after months of repair and renovation due to storm damage. The interior is bright, fresh and clean. The service was very friendly and attentive. It's clear that this family makes customer service a priority. They truly want to know that each customer enjoys their visit and feels well taken care of. We tried the papaya salad which was fresh, crispy and had just the right amount of spice. The beef noodle soup had large chunks of melt in your mouth, marinated beef and very fresh vegetables. There was enough to take home for a second meal. Sadly, we were too full to try the tempting desserts. We heard they are releasing a wonderful warm coconut dessert very soon. We will definitely be back to try that one.

I am a student at FCC and this is my stop for dinner and iced Thai coffee on my way to class. This family works very hard to please their customers and all their food is freshly made. A convenient Thai restaurant near me. I tried the crab fried rice, tom yum shrimp soup and the stuffed chicken wings. The rice tastes good but had a slight fishy smell. We guessed that perhaps the crab wasn't fried long enough. I elected for hot spicy for the soup but it more sweet than spicy. The wings were okay. Overall a little disappointing. But we look fwd to trying the other dishes another time.

I even cooked and mixed in 2 cups of rice and could not eat it! Hate wasting food and money, but had to throw it out. I've had some tasty meals from them, but my mouth is on FIRE 🔥 right now! It's hit or miss. Sometimes it's super good and I can enjoy the flavor, but find more often than not the mild is way too spicy!! Even if you ask for mild and clarify multiple times, be careful because it may still be very SPICY! 😢

Great place to eat, It’s got all the Thai Staples like Pad Thai and Thai iced tea. Plus because of the Thai government’s culinary tourism policy all the spices have been mixed to taste just right for the area.

Good for takeout or eating in, I recommend trying the chicken skewer appetizer it’s a favorite of mine!

Did this place get new owners recently? This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in town. I ordered take-out & when I arrived at the restaurant, the door was locked! When someone finally let me in, I was given my order as if I was a bother. Worst of all, the food was just okay. Also, I was told they no longer accept the Loyalty card & I needed just one more entree to get 1/2 off an entree (that was 9 prior meals!!). Disappointing.

I ordered Drunken Noodle and a fried rice. Fried rice was good.

But the noodle had foul smell as if it was spoiled. I called them next morning and the lady responded to my complaint saying "so, what do you want to do?".
I am ok to either get a refund or same dish again later. Towards the end the she half heartedly said sorry.

I later went and asked for refund but a lady persuaded me to try the noodle again, it wasn't spoiled this time but soggy and not so tasty. I ate about half of it and dumped the rest.

From L.A so I'm used to VERY good Thai food. This place is good. Definitely not world class but the staff is very nice, they're quick, and the food is not bad.. I recommend the crispy spring rolls for sure.

We ordered pad Thai and Singapore noodles, which were good. However, we ordered the “crab and shrimp” wontons, which were nothing but 4 tiny fried wonton pieces with maybe about 1/8 teaspoon of minced meat in each. Not wontons by any means.

I came back in to express my concern (as I paid $8 for them) and they hesitantly swapped them for spring rolls. I was completely nice and just explained that they didn’t match the description and would love a swap out. Any professional would say of course, no worries, right? (I mean come on, I know times are tough but their carry out was very busy and I’m sure their $8 wonton pieces cost about .50 cents to make; max.

Upon leaving, the hostess shook her finger in my face and said “be careful because this won’t happen again”, repeating herself multiple times as I walked out …..threatening a paying customer because YOUR description of something you’re serving is FAR from what it really is? Totally unprofessional.

Don’t worry, “this won’t happen again” because we’ll never be back. Glad there’s a new Thai spot right across the shopping center opening up next week.

I was really hoping for a different experience than these other recent reviews! This is the only Thai restaurant in the Frederick area on GrubHub. I had a gift card I wanted to use. I ordered the kanom jeeb (dumplings) and the drunken noodles with chicken. The dumplings were good and the redeeming part of this review. Very much enjoyed them. Healthy chunks of shrimp in them. Unfortunately, the drunken noodles had next to no flavor and weren't even spicy at all. I was really disappointed because that's what I was looking forward to the most. Other things to note were timely delivery and easy ordering process.

Yea was eating luckily decided to take out some lettuce and found a nice old long hair wont be coming back ruined my appetite so i didn’t get to finish my food and its not my hair mine is short wouldn’t recommend unless they are wearing hair nets.

It's my first time so I ordered chicken curry to be safe. I tasted it and immediately thought 'I must have covid'. The good news is that I don't have covid, bad news is, I don't have covid. Food was that tasteless. Couldn't even taste the curry! Hopefully the chef made a mistake in my dish.

Oh. My... This was flipping delicious. The Tom Kha had an amazing amount of flavor. We ordered one with Chicken, the other with Veggies. I had a TON of delicious veggies in it. I tried a little of all we ordered and not one thing was anything short of delicious. Not one. Super happy with the service, and it took no time at all to order and pick it up (20 mins and food was ready, fresh and hot!). Great staff, wonderful food.

I’m like really the owner kept arguing that it was a mistake: I tried to explain I am the customer and please either give me my food or a refund . I mean if she had chalked that up and let me try the food for $30 instead of $42 she might have gotten a repeat customer but the arguing and the unprofessional manner was too much and on top of that I drove to get my food and that’s how you do your customers . I was behind disappointed and for that I don’t recommend them. Didn’t actually get to try the food. I will try another spot the next time I visit Frederick,

Gross, soup was bland, satay was dry, wontons were absolutely disgusting, red curry was a watery mess, we gave up and threw in trash.

Love eating here. The staff is always friendly. When I get That iced coffee to go they have made it right when I arrived do it didn't get watered down waiting. I appreciate that extra level of service.

It may be unreasonable to expect a Thai restaurant I understand English but when you get someone's order wrong because you can't understand me or I can't understand you over the phone you should probably fix it... If want some nasty mystery meat flouting in toilet water instead of pad Thai make sure to eat here...

This place is amazing. Loved the hot red curry, plus I could happily drink two or three of the Thai iced coffees. Portion sizes are generous and the online order/takeout system is so easy. Everything was so thoughtfully packaged, including the coffee. I love that they hand wrote their business name on the to-go bags, it’s a cool personal touch that shows you just how awesome My Thai is.

My parents and I just ate here and it was absolutely delicious. Crab meat fried shrimp, pineapple, steak dishes were all great.

I hadn't been to My Thai in years and was not disappointed this weekend. I got the yellow curry and it was amazing. It was so creamy and delicious.

As a Frederick local this is my GO to spot. Especially for sticky rice! Customer service is personable. I came in for valentines and she gave out a cute valentine jello like dessert!

This place is great 😊 Discovered some time ago and was my go to for the lunch specials. Now I live around the corner and go way too often...The girl working the front is the sweetest! Food is always delicious, I’ve even asked for a special request before and staff made sure I had exactly what I wanted. You need My Thai!!

Finally! Some good Thai!
The restaurant is quite small, but that doesn't matter in times of COVID. It was nice and easy to order online and be able to pick it up in a few minutes.
The food (chicken Pad Thai, Honey Shrimp, Sticky Rice and Crab Fried Rice) was delicious, cooked well, and I finally found a place that uses good crab meat.
Definitely my to-go place for Pad Thai cravings.

Don’t ever order food from here around 8:30 pm when they are closing are so nasty my first order have a hair they exchange I drove for second time to this place for burned food when I ask my money back they said the manager will contact me that never happened.bad experience I don’t recommend.

People are very friendly so that was nice. This definitely isn't my favorite place. I didnt want food as spicy it was, noodles and food put together very sloppy. Took a few bites and will most likely trash the rest sucks, also open case of food and net flew out. Thankfully they were kind.

Best Thai food in Fredrick

I ordered on Postmates.

Was a little disappointed with the Tom Kha, as it was much more (too?) tangy than any other Tom Kha I'd had before. I ordered the veggie variety but found a huge slab of chicken in it. No skin off my back but if I was a vegitarian or vegan I would be furious.

The Ka-Prao Gai was perfect though, I loved it! Perfect amount of spice and it was very tasty. Did not receive my veggie roll on the side but was refunded by Postmates.

Overall, I would recommend you try to see if you enjoy it!

I went here today, my second time since moving to Frederick, and I've had the same issue both times. Not the food. Not the business. But the woman that answers the phone to take orders. I've only been here twice but she makes me question whether or not I even want to call again. As soon as she picks up the phone, she's just very short with you and will cut you off without hesitation and her demeanor in person matches what you get on the phone. But on the bright side, GREAT FOOD!

I order the drunken noodles and was very disappointed especially since most of the reviews here are great.

Just had lunch here and everything was great. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted and seated promptly. Waitress came over very quick to get our drink orders. We ordered food next and it came out quick as well. We both got the drunken noodles and it tasted great. All the ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. Definitely willie back soon.
