The mussel appetizer was very tasty, as were the noodles! We were not crazy about the pork belly.

Diner Review №2

Amazing flavors, great portion sizes. Probably the best food I've had in the last 2 years. It isn't cheap, but unlike other local restaurants you definitely get what you pay for.

Diner Review №4

Consistently good food, although a little pricey.

Diner Review №5

This place was just what we needed to get out of the cold! Everything was rich with flavor and the restaurant had a nice feel to it. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The curry was spicy but good!

Diner Review №6

Great place, great service! Beer selection could have been better, otherwise, perfect.

In Camden's town, a taste divine,
Long Grain's Thai food is top of the line. With curries bold and noodles sweet, Each dish is a flavorful treat.

The staff is warm, the vibe's just right.
A cozy haven for day or night.
For food so fresh and crafted with care, Long Grain's a gem beyond compare.

Diner Review №9

Long Grain is absolutely amazing! Maybe the best Thai food I’ve ever had! We started with the mussels, which had an incredibly flavorful broth. We also got the pad see ew, which has amazing hand made rice noodles. We also got the rare beef stew which was super yummy and we asked for it a little more mild, which they were able to accommodate. The star of the show for me was the coconut custard with sticky rice for dessert. It was not too sweet, a little salty, and soooooo good. I would come back just for that. The iced green tea was also amazing. I would come back to Camden just to come here!

Diner Review №11

Must try the fried tofu (local), the peanut sauce was incredible! Pad Thai was also excellent.

Diner Review №12

Busy place! That's how you know it's good.
Too pricey for anything but a special occasion in my opinion... But the staff were very nice, the food was hot and delicious, and the on-tap beers we had were great.

Diner Review №13

Incredibly kind staff and we were lucky to snag 4 spots at their communal table. Maybe the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. And in Camden Maine? Whaaat? Fresh ingredients, great spice, homemade noodles. So good!

Diner Review №14

Fabulous place to try! Staff was very friendly! Even gave us a place to try out in Portland, which is where we se headed to next! As far as the food goes, it doesn’t get much better than this! We tried Pad Kemao, and the Gao Lao Nua Tun. Both were excellent!!!! We will be back for sure!

Diner Review №15

Delicious. Fresh. Generous portions.

Diner Review №16

Apparently it is very busy. Don’t expect much service. The only meat they got was chicken and pork. No beef whatsoever. A bit spicy for the kind of protein offered. The food itself was VERY VERY spicy, even the curry dish. We’ve never eaten anything as spicy. Got bad stomach burn. Don’t recommend.

Diner Review №17

I dare you to find better Thai food. Honestly, one of the best meals we’ve ever had of any cuisine. The staff was attentive to our needs, and even took the time to help us with our chopsticks! 🤣 (they will provide you with a fork if you ask)
This place is a must visit if you were in town

Diner Review №18

Omg in Camden maine crazy taste in this place. I am a gourmet and Pad kemao must be the first choice.

Diner Review №19

Diner Review №20

My brother raved about Long Grain and being a Thai food lover, I had to try it. We called right when they opened at 1130 to see if we could get a reservation for dinner that night. We are so thankful and lucky to have been able to sneak in for a birthday dinner for my mom.

This place is so cute and decorated so well. Definitely a cozy atmosphere and the staff are all super friendly. We did wait about 15 minutes to be seate, but well worth the wait! You will definitely want a reservation.

I loved the non-alcoholic original sin dragonfruit drink and will be searching for it locally when I get home. We started with the moo todd appetizer (pork) which was delicious. I had the chicken pad seaw, which was beyond 5 stars. The presentation of all the dishes was stunning. The best Thai food I've ever had and so authentic.

I can't wait to come back and try some more delicious food! Definitely check this out when you're in town!

Diner Review №21

Some of the kindest waitstaff we encountered in Camden.
The food was delicious. Just the right level of heat.
Reservations are necessary and call early if you want take out as there are a limited number of take out orders made.

Diner Review №22

There are not enough stars for this place. Our server was not only charming and attentive, but she also gave impeccable recommendations. The mussels appetizer is divine and homemade noodles blew our minds. Do yourself a favor and get the house dessert to finish things off. The custard pairs perfectly with the rice and cream. Ugh, loved this place.

Diner Review №23

This place is incredible and did a tremendous job for gluten free / celiac. Absolutely need to get the coconut custard dessert!

Diner Review №24

We have eaten at long grain many times including at the old address. The food was excellent and the service was pleasant and good. Our while experience was ruined by two tables being excessively loud and disrupting the whole dinning room.too bad.

Diner Review №25

One of the best Thai places outside of Thailand. Food was super unqtious, spicy, rich and flavorful. Get their coconut mussels in lemongrass and the Thai coconut soup. The pad see ew and green curry was also fantastic. Reservations are preferred otherwise it’s a long wait.

Diner Review №28

A fellow hiker atop Mt Battie recommended we try Long Grain for gluten-free options. We love Thai food, and were beyond impressed with the menu. Traditional Thai offerings, leveraging fresh greens and locally sourced meats. Everything was perfect, and we were glad we followed up dinner with their house dessert - a combination of sticky rice and caramelized coconut custard.

Diner Review №29

Wonderful selection including many gluten free options including desert. Everything was freshly prepared.

Diner Review №30

Diner Review №31

Very good Thai food, way surpassing any reasonable expectations in a small town in Maine. More what you'd expect in Portland, which is a "foodie" city.

Diner Review №34

Hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Who would have thought that it would be in Camden, Maine!

My fiancé and I had booked this two weeks in advance and it did not disappoint. We were seated right away when we showed up for our reservation

We started with the chicken wings which were so tender and juicy. I then ordered the Massaman Curry, and my fiancé ordered the Pad See Yew. Both were so fresh & flavorful, and had the perfect amount of spice.

10/10 would recommend!

Diner Review №35

Diner Review №36

Abysmal service but good food albeit nothing amazing.

They had a good beer menu but nothing was in stock.

Diner Review №37

Amazing atmosphere and delicious food. The staff is so nice and personable. This is our second time dining here and I'm happy to say we'll be back again ☺️

Diner Review №38

Great Asian/local food. Everything was excellent and unusual, and the dorado special was probably the best fish dish we’ve ever had. And the service was terrific and extremely friendly. The only minor drawback is how noisy it gets. But an incredibly good restaurant!

Diner Review №39

This place came highly recommended by both hosts and guests at our B&B, and we were lucky enough to grab a same-day reservation due to a cancellation. Some of the best Thai food we've ever had, with particular emphasis on local meat, fish, and produce. Highlights included the mussels, the wide-rice noodles, and the custand & rice pudding dessert. Bustling atmosphere but not too noisy. We understand what all the fuss is about!

Diner Review №40

This was a difficult place to book but we are so glad we got a reservation! Dinner was delicious! We ordered Nam Tok, papaya salad, fried tofu for appetizers. All was fresh and delicious. The papaya salad was spicy 🌶️!
For dinner we ordered, the spicy night market noodle soup, pad kemao (pork belly and chicken), pad seaw, and the pad krapraw. The spicy night market was a flavorful sweet and vinegary soup with rice noodles, meats and veggies. This was very good! We ordered pad Kemao and the pad seaw and they were similar but slightly different flavors. The padseaw had a deep charred flavor, if that’s what you like. The homemade rice noodles were great and made the dishes delicious. The pad krapraw was another yummy dish with a simple fried rice but packed with lots of flavors. For what we ordered the price was fair and the environment was cute, but got a little loud. We will definitely come back when we’re in town!

Diner Review №41

Surprisingly good food. Not really a fan of Thai but it was excellent. Everyone loved their food.

Diner Review №42

$75 for Thai noodles, fried dumplings and 2 drinks and they don't take my work card. Didn't even get a reach around.

Diner Review №43

Great food. Limited drink menu.

Diner Review №44

Superb food and staff

Diner Review №45

Diner Review №46

Food was ok, nothing special and service terrible. After 1 hour one of the five of us did not have his meal and barely an apology. At the end of the night the manager was eating at the bar and servers tallying their tips while we waited a very long time for our check. Very unprofessional and not worth it.

Diner Review №47

This is hands-down one of the best restaurants in the Camden area. We visited Camden about 7 years ago and ate here, and our recent return visit didn’t disappoint. The menu is great and food is all very high quality. If you’re interested in going definitely make a reservation, as they seem to often be full.

Diner Review №48

Delicious and hearty portions. Curry is spicy which I loved but beware if you don’t eat spicy food.

Diner Review №49

Exceptional, stumbled across Long Grain and managed to secure a table on Friday evening. The food was amazing, with a great choice of beers. Our waitress was also great 👍 If you are visiting Camden, make sure you try this fantastic restaurant

Diner Review №50

This place has been on my favorites list for many years. Love her newer space. The food never disappoints.

Diner Review №51

Waited for a while to be seated. When we finally got seated, no one showed up for another 15 minutes to offer any water, even though people who were seated after us were served. Avoid going during busy times.

Diner Review №52

Tastiest food ever!! Must book as its very popular with good reason!

Diner Review №53

I have walked in, hoping to dine at this restaurant several times. They always seem to be busy, that's awesome!

Several times we've called for takeout and we were told that they didn't have enough time to make takeout orders. We were told that if we want to order takeout that we should call at about 4:30 before the service really gets going to place sour takeout order

Today I was passing through the area, so I thought id stop in and see about getting a table. It was just me, myself, and I. I completely understand that the majority of empty tables were reserved way in advance so they seated me at the counter.

My seat was facing the kitchen, and I had a bird's eye view of some of the hustling going on back there. Not exactly the atmosphere I was hoping for. I watched cooks & staff scrambling around and picking up food to deliver to tables and some takeout.

The first thing that stood out was one of the cooks - who had a substantial amount of hair - wasn't using any kind of net. Some staff were eating as they were working. Again, with all the hype about this restaurant and it's popularity I thought it would be a nicer dining experience.

I ordered the Pad Kemao with pork belly. Anyone who eats pork belly knows what to expect. It should be a tasty, succulent, moist, and sometimes sticky deliciously sticky. That is not what I got. I got what seemed to be like thin chunks of fresh pork. No fat could be detected. it was somewhat dry and chewy.

When I asked my server about that, she said that they use a less fatty cut of pork belly.. She said that they try to please everyone, so the pork belly they use is not very fatty. I think that says a lot about the people they cater to.

Portion size was a little bit small for the price. Flavor was good.

There is a slight unwarranted pretentiousness to the place. If that's what you like, enjoy. FX

Diner Review №54

As a family from Bangkok, Thailand, we had been yearning for authentic Thai home-cooked food during our travels down from Acadia. Discovering this gem in Camden, ME, was a delightful surprise.

We started with the Nam Tok beef, perfectly paired with soft, sticky rice, setting the tone for the rest of our meal. The clams, featuring local seafood in a creamy coconut tom yum broth with kaffir lime leaves, were phenomenal. The homemade pad see ew noodles and the rich, comforting beef noodle soup were equally impressive.

The owner was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, dedicated to bringing authentic Thai flavors to Maine. The service was excellent, making our dining experience truly memorable. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Thai cuisine in Camden.

Diner Review №55

We had just arrived into Camden and had a craving for Thai food. I want to start by saying dear god make reservations. We arrived around 7:30 and that place was super busy. As tourists we didn’t think it’d be super packed on a Wednesday night, but we were wrong. At first we were not hopeful that we’d even get sat as probably 4 groups of people were sat in front of us, but they had reservations. The owner was nice enough to work us in on the end of their community table.

I am going to review this as someone who loves spicy food and crave it. We ordered the special appetizer for the night the deep fried pork wontons, Chicken Pad Thai, and another special not on the menu that had ribeye in it.

The Pork Wontons - Fantastic, beautifully crafted and fried. Great flavor.

Chicken Pad Thai - Very good! I told the waitress I wanted it to be as spicy as possible and she said that the chefs kinda take that as a challenge and I said that’s fine with me. The spice was perfectly what I wanted. A nice slow building burn that kept me coming back for more. Any more spice and it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable to consume. They called the spice level “Thai Spice” for anyone that wants to try it.

The Ribeye Broth special - My wife loved it! She also ordered it “spicy” and they delivered a nice building spice that she enjoyed. She would’ve ordered Thai Spice if she would’ve known that was an option. I want to point out that the dish was so full of ribeye. I was genuinely impressed with the amount of meat.

The table next made several comments about how spicy the food was lol. I don’t know what people expect it’s Thai food… After we finished eating we realized that there is definitely a reason that place is packed all the time. Would highly recommend this place.

Diner Review №56

Got us right in even though they were busy. Food was delicious! Would definitely recommend to anyone that loves Thai food. You won’t be disappointed.

Diner Review №57

Diner Review №58

Stunningly modern place with yummy Thai ish food. The mussels, pork wonton special & coconut custard were to die for but everything was just great

Diner Review №59

Terrific this food, I really loved the kuatiaw nua soup because of its many layers and deep flavor, and the fried pork wontons with pork (not redundant). I would hand down recommend this food to any foodie visiting the area.

The service however was chaotic and distracted, and while some servers were friendly others seemed to be having a really bad day. We had to wait to be seated for over 10 minutes after the start of our reservation, which has not happened to me hundreds of times of eating out. It looks like they were running the place with a couple fewer staff than needed, and for the sake of the waiters, I hope it was a one-off situation.

Call for reservations.

Diner Review №60

Diner Review №61

Great Thai food! The ingredients were fresh and delicious! Make sure to call ahead and make reservations. They were necessary even on a Tuesday.

Diner Review №62

A staple Thai restaurant all the way out in Camden. Authentic flavors and great service.

They get busy so reservations are recommended.

Diner Review №63

I was underwhelmed with the Pad Thai I ordered. It was lacking in flavor and spice. I ordered the pork belly, which turned out to be just bland pork meat. The service was good as well as the atmosphere, but after hearing such great reviews, I was disappointed in my meal.

Diner Review №64

Diner Review №65

Absolutely delicious! We will be back!

Diner Review №66

Delicious and unique food! Highly recommend the pad seaw. They make their noodles in house and there is flavor bursting in every bite. Service was also excellent!

Diner Review №67

Great food, even better staff.

Diner Review №68

Diner Review №69

Absolutely delicious, flavorful, beautiful food. Can not recommend enough. If you're going, book a reservation in advance as they are deservedly popular.

Diner Review №70

Long time favorite.

Diner Review №71

Diner Review №72

I don’t really get the hype. I got the fried rice and the pad Thai for take out. Pad Thai didn’t have much sauce and was bland. Fried rice was also bland and had just about zero flavor. I went in alone for a quick dinner and was told my only option was the community table and no more tables would open for the rest of the night, yet a walk in two top came in after me and was told they could have the next open table in ten minutes. Based off other reviews, it seems they don’t take kindly to single diners. I had high hopes for this place but they missed the mark on all fronts.

Diner Review №73

Rice noodle full of flavor. Amaaaazing!! Best thai bowl i ever had. Beverage could be improved such as offering tea or diet soda.

Diner Review №74

Best restaurant in Camden! The food is absolutely delicious and it feels authentic, and the service and atmosphere is warm and vibrant.

Diner Review №75

Ok place

Diner Review №76

Diner Review №77

Larb was a very small portion of crumbled and bland tofu with enough salad fixings to count on two hands. For a lot of money. It was about $2.50 worth of tofu, four thick unpeeled slices of cucumber, with no real prep. The crispy wings were dry as a bone. The dip was good but not terrific. While I was in the restaurant the phone never stopped ringing and literally no one answered it. People were walking in (about 1:30pm) to a 1/3 full dining room and asking if they were taking orders for takeout and ordering and waiting at the counter. The restaurant had only a handful of guests all which were there two hours after I had arrived. Maybe staffing issues, maybe a bad day? I'll be hard-pressed to try again but if I do I'll update.

Diner Review №78

Take out beef stew is amazing. Definitely will get more soon!

Diner Review №79

Top 10 meals of my life time. Everything on the menu is delicious, every server is delightful, atmosphere is so sweet and CLEAN!!! Best meal you will have in Maine and especially amazing if you are gluten free!!!!!

Diner Review №80

Very elevated food in a very down to earth relaxed environment. Perfect combo for me. Loved it!

Diner Review №81

Diner Review №82

Love long grain but they literally rarely answer the phone for takeout or reservations…

Diner Review №83

Great meal!

Diner Review №84

One of the best Thai restaurants we've been to in the US. The wait can be significant at certain times, and the service can be a little slow. But the food is legit! If you like Thai food it's definitely worth it.

Diner Review №85

Wow. This is a whole different level of Thai. The pad kee mao is amazing. Mussels are amazing. The beef salad thing was great. Wow. Just wow.

Diner Review №86

Diner Review №87

Sooo good! I lived in Thailand for 2.5 years and their pad see ew was amazing! Topped it off with a dairy free coconut milk brulee which was fabulous as well! Thank you for actually doing authentic Thai food!

Diner Review №88

Amazing food and service. Lovely atmosphere and good selection of wines. Reservations are a must as they were at capacity the night we were there. We had the Moo Ping, Pad Thai with tofu and Pad Seaw. So delicious!!

Diner Review №89

Kind of a confusing experience. Managed to get the very last reservation for the night, and watched multiple groups get turned away in front of us, so hopes were pretty high for quality Thai. We were seated at the community table, and even though we were told we had 1hr45min there, it felt like the staffs only goal was to get us in and out in as little time as possible.

Dessert was the best part, but there's nothing to really say about it.

We had the Nam Tok and Som Tum to start, both of which were insanely small portions for the price. The nam tok had almost 0 spice, or even much flavor at all; and that's before you include the two slugs on the lettuce in the Nam Tok.

Entrees were different to say the least. We had the Pad Keemao, but what was served was certainly not Isaan style Thai like the menu states and certainly was nothing close to traditional. Kale in drunken noodles? Odd even for using local ingredients in your own twist of the dish. Didn't work, especially when half the dish was one giant ribbon of kale. The pork belly was just lightly seared, and was nearly all partially cooked fat. The homemade noodles were good, and the spice level was good on the noodles.

Certainly not worth $21+ for noodles. I'm not sure if this is just popular because it's one of a few spots actually still open at this time of year or if Maine residents actually consider this to be real/outstanding Thai food, but this place was just not it.

The whole time it was also very clear who were regulars of the establishment and it was very clear that the staff both preferred them and let them do whatever they want.

Overall I'd give it a 6/10, but the pretentiousness and hurriedness of the staff lowers it to a 3 for me.

Diner Review №90

It took 35 min before we could place our order, and then our food was sent to another table. We were starving and in a bad mood by the time we got our order. Staff kept getting orders mixed up, and we regularly had to go find staff to help us. The food is excellent but the overall experience was terrible.

Diner Review №91

Excellent service! Food was great. It’s very busy make a reservation if you want to get in.

Diner Review №92

Incredible meal from start to finish. Special of the night was shishito peppers, paired with chicken wings to start. Green curry and Pad Seew were phenomenal - but curry noodle soup was the star of the show. I would recommend to anyone coming to Camden! We’ll be back.

Diner Review №93

Diner Review №94

Diner Review №95

Wow!! The staff and food are AMAZING. my favorite meal in Camden!

Diner Review №96

Dining here we received the worst service we've ever experienced. The whole time we felt like an inconvenience to the staff. Orders were also mixed up and never rectified. The manager was extremely aggressive and rude when we tried to speak to her about our experience. Atmosphere was loud. The food was fine. Wouldn't recommend.

Diner Review №97

Diner Review №98

Food was absolutely delicious really one of best. Service was fine. It was efficient. The only drawback is they tried to imply only service for a solo diner was at the bar. I pushed back and got a small table and all was well but felt in comfortable as of didn’t want to wait on solo diner. But I would go back if in area!

Diner Review №99

Nice hole in the wall place
Fairer prices than most of the local tourist traps and frequent attention from the server. Very good food, with a small menu so they can focus on being stellar at a few select dishes than mediocre at dozens.

Diner Review №100

Always delicious!

Diner Review №101

We were deeply disappointed with our order. We ordered takeaway at the bar on Saturday. I asked the friendly woman who took our order if the Pad Pak could be made vegan. She assured us it could. What she did NOT tell us, is that this would be accomplished by removing all sauce from the order. When we returned home, we opened our order and saw that it was merely three bland ingredients: plain rice, steamed kale, and cubes of unseasoned tofu. Two days later, I am still shaking my head that a restaurant would do this. Given that there are many entirely thai vegan restaurants around the world, it should not be difficult for this one to come up with some form of sauce or seasoning for its "vegan" version of dishes. If they can't be bothered to do so, they should politely decline requests for a vegan version of a dish. To charge us $50 for two servings of what a 10 year old might have created was insulting.

Diner Review №102

Absolutely do not recommend. Manager was disrespectful and insulting. We felt very welcome everywhere in Camden but here.

Diner Review №103

Diner Review №104

Anniversary dinner. Great food, draft beer, mussels were excellent.

Diner Review №105

Diner Review №106

Diner Review №107

Excellent food, probably the best Thai we've ever had. Busy on-season, but well worth any wait. Good location with decent parking available. Highly recommend the Pad Kemao w/pork which is excellent.

Diner Review №108

People kept saying this was very “authentic food.” I don’t care how authentic it was, the food was great! Wonderfully seasoned, some actual heat in the spice, and served on delightful dishes. We were worried about having leftovers because our fridge was full, but that sort was for naught. We ate everything on the table. If you have tastebuds then you will find something to excite them here.

Diner Review №109

Diner Review №110

acoustics could be improved but the food and service were superb.

Diner Review №111

Party of seven for lunch. We almost ordered everything on the menu and every bite was better than the last. This was one of the best meals I've had in my life.

Smoked Mackerel Fried Rice, 10/10. Going to try to recreate at home.

Mussels in a spicy coconut lemongrass broth were also 10/10. I don't usually seek out mussels but I'd absolutely order again even if I were dining by myself.

The desert was a black rice pudding topped with a creme brulee situation that was to die for. I loved all the different textures. Not to be missed. I'd come back just for that.

My one critique for the service is that we ordered so much and everything came out at the same time. We ran out of space at our table. However, the seating was partially our fault. We had 7 when we thought we only had 6. They offered a larger table and I regret not taking them up on it!

Diner Review №112

Excellent food. Popular and busy - can be quite loud. Sometimes there is no takeout available for dinner because people place their takeout orders for dinner during lunch and the restaurant will be at maximum takeout limit.

Diner Review №113

Diner Review №114

This was by far the bestest Thai food we have ever eaten. You really should make a reservation. We highly recommend it.

Diner Review №115

I got a takeout order of the Mixed Grain Fried Rice with pork belly. The food was incredible and service was quick. Make sure to order a side of the amazing chili oil!

Diner Review №116

Diner Review №117

I went at 5:30 and they wouldn’t let me in. I’m one person and I was told there was no room for me and I couldn’t order take out. They didn’t even put my name on the waitlist. It could be because I didn’t look like their other customers.

Diner Review №118

Love the food, but they need to be more clear on the take out policy. We planned our last evening around Long Grain and called immediately at 430pm when they "opened" and were told they were sold out!? Please post that you can place orders at lunch time so you don't ruin plans, very frustrating.

Diner Review №119

Been waiting a while to eat here and it surpassed all expectations. Great staff who know their menu in detail. Great selection of drinks as well. Food menu is quite small but it makes up for it with freshness and perfect spices! I'm going to have to try everything on the menu! Such a well run restaurant and you can tell the staff like working there too and work as a team to deliver an exceptional experience. Well done!!!!

Diner Review №120

Basically reservation only but I called 4 times a day in advance but no one picked up. Their answering system can only handle 1 person on the line. Showed up in the restaurant at 4:45pm and couldn’t get seated at anytime throughout the day. She said “Sorry” for not picking up the phone.

Diner Review №121

The Spicy Night Market Noodle is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my whole life. No joke! A must-have!

Diner Review №126

Very Flavorful! Good service :)

Diner Review №127

our server amanda was wonderful, the food was absolutely incredible and reasonably priced. very cute and comfortable restaurant environment. loved the tile in the bathroom. however, i hate the metal chopsticks. i’m sure it’s more sanitary but they were very hard to eat with. the kao soi gai was genuinely one of the best things ive ever put in my mouth.

Diner Review №129

Someone on a flight to Portland, Maine recommended this spot. Then when we got to Camden, several others recommended it. It did NOT disappoint. The hype is real. The food is so flavorful and delicious. You can't go wrong if you eat in or get takeout. This is a must go-to spot in Camden.

Diner Review №130

Best Thai food!

Diner Review №131

As a person who has eaten Thai food from many different restaurants, I've never had actually bad Thai food... until today!
All the food was too salty for no reason. And if it wasn't too salty, the food just tasted bad. I walked in here hungry and my stomach shrank to the size of a bean at the first taste.
I don't understand why this restaurant is so packed and well-rated. It just isn't good.
The bathroom is really nice though!

Diner Review №132

warm and golden a beautiful cosy place with such friendly lovely people. the food was heavenly the broths so deep and complex fresh green herbs and dark leafy flavourful greens. papaya salad was crisp and fragrant. the beef stew was rich and delicious soft melting beef the khao soi was my favourite coconut milky moreish.

Diner Review №133

What a fabulous tasty dinner! As soon as I stepped inside, I could feel the positive vibe of this place. Although there were a few waiting at the door, as a party of one I quickly grabbed a seat at the bar. The service was attentive as there were at least three young women handling orders and requests efficiently. The wine and beer menu is extensive and I decided on a delicious beer from Spain. The chicken Pad Thai was the best I've ever had and the portion was plentiful. The prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Long Grain. Best to reserve ahead.

Our food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the mussels for an appetizer. Very generous portion, and I wanted to drink the sauce. Beef stew, larb chicken, stir fried greens, and sticky rice were on point. Our waitress was super attentive! If we lived there, we would go every week!

Diner Review №137

So excited to try this highly recommended restaurant only to wait more than five minutes at the door for staff to acknowledge us. Once at our table we waited even longer for someone to take our order. And then we waited again for our appetizers. That being said, the food was outstanding; fresh, hot, tasty and unique. At the end of the meal, we needed to walk up to staff to request the bill. The experience was unfortunately frustrating when the food was so excellent. Maybe do take out?

Fantastic Thai place! New location and much larger than the old place. Delicious curry and pad Thai selections, fairly extensive beer choices.

Diner Review №139

Long Grain is not your typical thai restaurant. If you’re expecting lots of curries you may be disappointed. The food is excellent but is quite expensive. Meals average $25-35. I ordered a pork belly with noodle salad that was a special, and my partner ordered a crab pot that was also a special. Our waitress was friendly and professional despite being busy answering the phones which rang constantly.

I've frequented this restaurant for almost 10 years now, both dining in, and for take-out meals. For the longest time I would have given them 5 stars across the board, and it pains me to leave a review offering less than that. The owners are nice people, and their staff is knowledgeable albeit abrupt at times (potentially due to a small dining room and the large volume of diners each evening). Unfortunately, over the last year the food has really gone downhill. Dishes that used to pop and had excellent presentation and balance, now are lackluster. The Nam Tok salad feels like it was slapped together like a ham and cheese sandwich on wonder bread. The Pad Kemao used to be a go-to dish that never disappointed, and what is being produced now is ok at best. I think I'm going to give this restaurant a break for a few years and see if it improves or collapses.

It's expensive! And there are professional wait staff making your experience what it should be for what you will pay for dinner and a brew. All three of us had the same wide noodle dish, an appetizer along with 4 beers between us. I asked for a beer sample and received it. The acoustics are terrible and the restaurant for all its attention to expensive details, is noisy, very noisy.

Diner Review №151

Really delicious. Their produce is super fresh and really flavorful. They also have (great) vegan options

Diner Review №152

Great food, can't go wrong

Diner Review №153

Mediocre food. I have had a lot better for a lot less. Very pretentious atmosphere. Service was mediocre.

This was some of the best Thai food that I've eaten. I'm definitely adding it to my list of places to eat when I'm out in that area.

Very delicious, authentic Thai cuisine. If in Camden..visit this restaurant!

Because of COVID, we haven't eaten at Long Grain in 3+ years so we were happy to be back at one of favorite restaurants.
As always, thanks to a tip from another diner during our first visit many years ago, we started off with the steamed mussels in a spicy lemon grass coconut broth. Absolutely delicious.
We also enjoyed smoked mackerel fried rice with onions, scallions, garlic and a fried egg, and spicy beef stew with with dark soy sauce and 5 spice broth. Both dishes were fabulous and generous. We will enjoy these leftovers tonight and will return to Long Grain often.

We drove 2 hours just to try this restaurant, and I would say it was all worth it!!! Their skewers were the best and also their mussels 😋 the owner was the one who served our food and she is so nice!! Would definitely coming back!!

Diner Review №161

Delicious! Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty authentic cuisine. The chicken wings are a 10, and the Tom Soup was a delight. I love lemongrass. Convenient location for an after dinner stroll. We will be back.

Just amazing food. Every dish my family ordered was spectacular! Great international beer selection. Would come again and again and again!

Noodle Queen here, everything was good, nice dining experience

Diner Review №169

I feel bad about the 3 stars because the staff is lovely and it’s a cute local atmosphere, but the food really falls through. It sounds, looks and smells delicious but then, you eat it and it just disappoints. Maaaaaybe for the area this is really good, but if you’ve had experience with Thai just about anywhere else it does not hold up. It’s not bad or greasy at all which is why this gets 3, not 2 stars, but it’s just ok food for a really quite high price.

I’m not sure this place is worth the hassle anymore. I have recommend it to so many friends and family, and we were looking forward to enjoying it ourselves once again (even planned our trip around it) but our recent experience was awful.

To put in an order for the evening, I called a couple times at the start of their midday open hours, got through, and was put on hold for 7 minutes. I figured I may have been forgotten so I hung up and would try again later.

Fast forward to an hour and a half later, during which time my husband and I switched off calling dozens and dozens of times in the interim. I finally got through at 2:30—only to be put on hold again. 10 minutes passed during which time we could hear the restaurant, and we could hear other calls being answered, so my husband called on his own phone, was immediately answered, and spoke to someone who placed his order while I was still left on hold…!

We had initially planned on enjoying their food twice during our trip but opted to go somewhere else. I’m not sure I’ll return til they adopt a better system.

Excellent Thai food and great service.

Diner Review №175

Phenomenal flat noodles. I've been to many Thai places and they're almost always good but the fermented soy beans from here were just unbelievable. The kale and collard greens were also cooked so perfectly they had no bitter taste nor where they too soft. Overall I'd love a place like this near my city.

Came on a busy night, but the staff was welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious.

Diner Review №177

Top notch food, even to go.

Diner Review №178

Very good! Even with a 530pm reservation, service was slow but great. Food was even better. The server also took great care with my dietary restrictions.
The downside is the noisy environment; it’s hard to hear the person in your party. Cocktails are also limited to canned beverages.

Diner Review №179

Great local restaurant-delicious food with locally sourced ingredients. The green curry was delicious with just the right amount of spice!

Diner Review №180

The food was quite good.

Diner Review №181

Nice vibes and tasty dishes using high-quality and locally sourced ingredients. Really enjoyed the pork skewers and pad kra pow in particular.

Diner Review №182

We ate their for lunch today and loved it! In house made noodles within such tasty dishes. Interesting wine list; I had a white Boudreaux that was lovely. A great space as well. Hope to get back before we leave Camden.

Diner Review №183

One of the best Thai places I’ve ever been. Truly phenomenal.

Diner Review №184

We literally called their 2 phone no’s. 5X in attempts to reserve a table. Phone not answered and messages not accepted. Arrived early to an extremely noisy venue. Hostess finally walked up to me at the entrance after 7-10 minutes and dismissively told me that I needed a reservation! I explained what occurred to a very uncaring person.
Horrible experience. Never again.

Diner Review №185

We were recommended this spot and boy it did not disappoint. The only issue? It’s so busy so the kitchen gets backed up easily. So, don’t come in a rush!

The pad Thai was so delicious- flavorful mix of sweet and spice.

Diner Review №186

this is some kind of horror! I was alone, I waited in line for two hours! family people let me go ahead!

Diner Review №188

Delicious and delightful in every way.

Diner Review №189

We ordered the Szechuan Lamb, Pad Ke Mao Tofu, and Spicy Basil Fried Rice Chicken. All meals were excellent and quite spicy, for those of us who don't regularly eat spicy food. The first two dishes included homemade noodles, which were very good.
Service was good, but a bit slow for ordering, getting food, and getting check (especially for a 5pm seating, water refills were frequent) but that gave us more time to socialize, which might have been the intent. Prices seemed very reasonable for Camden.

Diner Review №190

Legitimately some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. What an awesome surprise. We had the Kao Soi Gai and the Pad Seaw (with pork belly) and both were phenomenal. Will definitely be back!

Diner Review №191

What a gem in little Camden. Incredible Thai food in a well appointed restaurant. Don't shy away from sitting at the communal table or the bar, the atmosphere of this place is fun, relaxed and approachable. Truly an unexpected dinner in a small quaint town.

Great atmosphere. Great staff. Unbelievable food—both the standbys (Pad See Ew best ever, wings appetizer, and black rice pudding desert) and the unusual specials (deer curry!). Blessed to have this restaurant in town.

Diner Review №194

Great restaurant with vegan options. Wait staff very accommodating and attentive.
If you like Thai cuisine I would highly recommend.

Went to dinner with my husband there tonight after hearing several locals recommend it. Perhaps they recommend it because they are locals. The woman next to us "Mimi", we came to know her name because she was pampered by the owner, manager, and other staff as an obvious frequent flyer of the place, received exceptional service. We were never asked how our meals were, if we needed anything, or had our drinks refilled. They sat a family next to us with a toddler which always makes for a delightful romper room event out of a quiet evening out at a restaurant that's always packed and whose phone constantly rings off of the hook. The noise level was oddly high for such a small space. We will return again for the Pad Thai with chicken, best pad Thai I've ever had. 😋 I did not like the chicken fried rice, it tasted over done. My husband had the spicy pork soup and loved it. We also enjoyed the Moo pork as a starter but its over priced for the size. Food here is good, service needs improvement.
