This is a neighborhood spot I stumbled upon and it is some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. It’s packed with flavor and has become a regular takeout place in my household.

I think this is my favorite Thai restaurant in the city. Typically I’ll start with the (generously portioned) crab Rangoon or the tender pork ribs, depending on my company.
I always order a Tom Yum Goong soup, which does something special for my soul. It’s not often I see Laab Gai salad on a menu (normally that’s something I ask for off menu) and theirs is especially flavorful.
The fried rice dishes and the pad Thai are solid, but I find myself loving the Massaman curry as of late.
* I did ask for pineapple to be added and also for it to be on the spicier side. The chef did not hold back, but my iced water stayed full.
The GM, Patrick, remembers my name and will ask about my dad if he’s not with me. He’s great at knowing his regulars and that makes the experience of dining in even better.
Atmosphere: During peak dining hours it can become loud in the dining room, which is to be expected during a rush.

I had a beautiful lunch today at the Lime Leaf Thai Eatery. The first thing that jumps out at one as one endures a hankering for Thai is the name. What a lovely collection of evocative words. The second is the rating, 4.8 on the Google. It is rare for a restaurant that is open for lunch to enjoy such a reputation and so I simply had to make the trip from far afield Metro New Orleans. As one steps into the place, it's hopping on a Wednesday. A great sign. Local yats are abuzz with talk of real estate taxes, the upcoming election, and their exploits in the field of engineering. I selected the green curry with seafood and it was incredible. Curry was expertly flavored, a tremendous balance of sweet, salty, and spicy. Most approvingly the seafood was fresh and very plump and expertly prepared. And I think this is where the 0.8 comes from. Clearly, The Leaf, as I will now call it, cares ineffably about freshness and wants to serve the very best product to its patrons. One probably already knows this as the patrons themselves care an awful lot about quality, too, the parking lot dotted with Volvos and BMWs and Infinities. I ate so deliciously and uninterruptedly and splendidly I did not notice how loud the Yats were. And now, some three hours on, this splitting headache is well worth it.

Everything here was absolutely amazing! The Bangkok shrimp and crab rangoons were perfect for an appetizer. I was able to try the Pad See Euw which was sweet, savory, and delicious. Although I’ve never heard of it, we tried the Khao Soi, and it did not disappoint. Finally my favorite dish was the Thai Talay which was packed with a variety of seafood and an amazing basil sauce. The portions are generous and the service was amazing!

Delicious Thai dishes in a pleasant dining room , good menu selections and a variety of daily specials are also available. Portions are large and sharing dishes would be recommended. Mee Krob crispy fried noodles and Combination Pad Thai were our main dishes .

I've tried most of the Thai places in the region from the west bank to Chalmette and I think this play may be one of the best (if not the best) Thai restaurant in the area. And it's not very crowded. Come check out the best kept secret at the lake.

We picked up some red curry tonight for dinner and it is delicious! The flavor is great and the portion size is huge which has me looking forward to leftovers tomorrow. But, what made it even better was the customer service. The gentleman who rung me up was so kind and upbeat and made me feel like he was genuinely excited for us to enjoy the food. I can’t wait to come back and try more things on the menu.

I pulled in thinking I was going to hit the restaurant next-door. I had seen this on the map and that it had some good reviews so I decided to pop in. After being seated, the chef came out and let me know he had a special lamb chop. He could serve me today. Although I was coming in for some pad, Thai or curry, I accepted the special as it sounded amazing. It was delicious beyond anything. I could’ve imagined lucky for me. I walked in when I did to enjoy this treat. Would highly recommend stopping in.

I'm not sure what the rest of my table ordered, but everyone was quiet and either finished their plates or took the rest home!! As with many of our restaurants here in New Orleans, they are short staffed, but the few employees that were working did a great job. I can't yet give them a 5 star for service but it's not the servers fault. 👍

I wish I could review more items but I always get the shrimp red curry and it’s so good! The shrimp is always perfectly cooked and it’s a huge meal so I always have leftovers. I’ve heard great things about their pad thai too but the shrimp red curry is where it’s at.

They are so kind, my husband and I did not realize we showed up right before close and we offered to leave or just get take out but they insisted we could stay and they gave us such wonderful service. I got the red curry, house salad, and tuna tower and it was all so excellent. Honestly I forgot to take pictures of all of it because I just dove right in as soon as it hit the table. To start, we got the Thai wings which had a wonderfully tangy sauce. My friend got the pineapple fried rice, and I got the shrimp pad Thai. The portions were very generous at a super affordable, lunchtime price, and the shrimp were way bigger and numerous than I thought they would be. It’s basically like two meals for the price of one.

WOW! I can’t believe it took me this long to come eat here! The food is absolutely delicious!! We got the roti with red curry and all I can say is please do not skip out on this dish! I couldn’t even take a pic because we devoured it so quickly. The red curry is full of coconut flavor and tastes like heaven. We also got the chicken and shrimp dumplings and enjoyed them too. For our main dishes we got chicken and shrimp drunken noodles and the chicken and shrimp red curry with rice. Everything was extremely yummy. However I will say if you don’t like bamboo shoot flavor it is noticeable in the red curry dish. They have a good amount of vegetarian and non veg options. Looking forward to eating at Lime Leaf again soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I first came here when it was originally Mama Thai and it left an impression on me and my fiancé. We came back, it is now lime leaf and it’s like it was before. Patrick’s hospitality is contagious and I remembered him from when we came in the past. He has a “happy to do it” attitude when serving and is so personable. The food is so incredibly delicious. Each time we leave, we are reminded why we love this place so much. Top notch service and top notch Thai food…. I hope this place sticks around for many many years to come!

(I gave the atmosphere a 4 star only cause it was a very busy night and one of the female servers was visibly stressed - it affected the mood)

Best Pad Thai ever! Their Won Ton Soup is fantastic as well. Used to visit their restaurant in Mandeville glad they opened up in their new Bucktown location… service is great..

This is a new place in New Orleans we ordered from and it served some of the best Thai food I have had in a while. Their vegetarian options are EXCELLENT. We ordered a mixed veggie salad of lettuce, spinach, red onions, cabbage. The peanut ginger dressing was delicious! We also ordered the veggie spring rolls and they were crisp and just perfect. For entrees we ordered Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles elsewhere) and both had really great wide/flat noodles. Can't wait to try their curries!

This is hands down the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to in my life. The food never disappoints and the host is so warm and caring. I remember him since the Mama Thai days and he remembers all his customers. The best customer service ever and the food backs it up.if you ever come here try the wonton soup and the Thai tea. It taste like a warm hug in a cup.I drive a hour out the way just for the delicious food here. I wish this restaurant much success 🙌

This used to be Mama Thai. The food was good then. Now the food is awesome. The menu has quite a few new items. Hard to believe they’ve even elevated some recipes.
Must try the waterfall pork. Definitely Spicy and awesome!!!!
We will be back often.
Not sure why anyone would have given This place one star. There is always one that can’t be pleased.
