This place is great! We reserved one of the igloos and had a great time. Brittany was our server and was fantastic and very attentive. We will be back for sure!

I have been at this location since it opened but the last year the food quality has gone down. The Pad Thai that is my go to, was dry, the chicken was dryer and the limes weren't fresh. It sucks because I l live closer to their location than the Crossroads location (which is my favorite).

Diner Review №6

Was sat at a table. Never got service. Went to hostess asked if I need to order somewhere or if someone was coming to table after 10 minutes. She took drink order. Nothing! A couple came in staff went right to their table. We left.

Diner Review №7

We booked one of the patio igloos and this was, by far, the highlight of our (post) holiday season. Brittany was our server and was absolutely delightful -- attentive, but didn't hover! The food was delish, as per usual, but for this igloo visit, the ambiance was what really elevated this dining experience. Don't miss this opportunity -- book your igloo now!

I 💜 the Thai Ice tea. The Ginger Chicken is great. I will b back. Just found out the Ginger Chicken is only available 11am - 3pm. 😢I wish I had a special someone to dine n the huge bubble.

Diner Review №9

We always frequent the crossroads location, but this one was closer to an event we were attending. The food was excellent, I was worried it would vary by location, but it was probably better than the crossroads.

Service was not great, I don't know if they were short staffed. Our waiter had too many tables or other duties? But he could not remember to bring anything we asked for. Two of our friends had their soups and salads, and he still had not brought drinks. We had to remind him of everything often asking the gentleman who was dropping off entrées if he could bring water and such.

I'm hoping it was just an off night. This location has fun igloos you can eat in, and I would love to come back and try it.

Diner Review №10

Chicken Satay was dry, Food was minimal flavor, even with medium season request.

Diner Review №11

Our group of 3 was impressed by all the dishes we ordered. The sauce flavors were complex and tasty, the amount and quality of vegetables and protein relative to rice/noodles was very generous. The spice level medium was pretty accurate for Americans. Portions were big, none of us finished a full dish at lunchtime. Prices are probably high for Kansas but the dish size/quality seemed worth it. We live in San Francisco and these dishes were on par with some of our fancier Thai restaurants.

The place is very cute. I love the fish pond. The food didn't really taste like Thai food. The peppers were jalapenos? It was fine.

Diner Review №14

We’ve eaten here several times since Lulu’s opened in downtown Overland Park as we live nearby. Every time we’ve dined in - which has been at least a dozen times - the service, food, and ambience have been excellent. This year for the first time they have outdoor igloos that you can dine in with a reservation and a rental fee (FYI - the reservation language calls this a “deposit” but it’s a non-refundable rental fee). I hope Lulu‘s continues to do this. Totally worth the rental fee and so fun and festive! We really enjoyed the experience. The owner, Lulu, is very sweet, too!

I don't think I've been greeting one time when I've walked through the door. I have had to wave someone down. Or if I am not a customer I do doordash and almost always I stand at the door for 5/10 ish minutes wondering if anyone knows I'm there. Almost never is the food ready. Even when it takes me 10 minutes to get there and I stand 10 minutes in the door. Almost makes it not worth picking up the orders from here. Or even ordering for myself

We were there on a weekday at lunchtime. The resaurant was busy, but we were seated immediately. Our server was attentive and friendy. We ordered crab rangoon as our appitizer and noodle bowls. The crab rangoon was light and crispy. The noodles were delicious.

Diner Review №27

Brittney B was so sweet and attentive. The koi pond made for fun entertainment while my kiddo waited. Great service. Clean facilities.

Diner Review №28

The service was great. The food was horrible.

Diner Review №29

I have been to Lulu’s a few times now, and the entrees that I order have always been fantastic. Their original pad Thai, the Thai lettuce wraps, crab fried rice, spicy beef jantaboon—all delicious. The restaurant is cute, and they have a lovely, small outside patio area for seating that is great on a nice day.

I’m taking off one star today only because fresh spring rolls are one of my favorite things in life, and they were the saddest spring rolls I’ve ever had. Small, dry, lacking in flavor, and served with a sauce that is referred to as peanut sauce but is a yellow curry sauce that hints at a peanut flavor. Lulu’s—love your food! Fix your spring rolls and your peanut sauce, please! 🙏🏻

Diner Review №30

I had a great experience in the lulus, specifically I love the service they have provided, Brittney B was so great and she took care of me and my friends, she was really enthusiastic and energetic. She also gets us complimentary birthday ice cream which was so delicious. I highly recommend this place and you are lucky if your provider is Brittney.

Diner Review №31

I LOVE the rainbow peanut noodles at Lulu's and have had them at the original location and the Fairway/Westwood location. They're always fabulous!!! We tried out this new OP location tonight and I was really disappointed. The rainbow peanut noodles tasted like a totally different recipe! Bring back the original recipe please. 🙏 Lulu's is a Kansas City institution and I hate to see this slip.

Diner Review №32

It was a beautiful evening on the patio and our service was wonderful. Unfortunately the food is mediocre. Without the sauces, I would describe it as bland.

Diner Review №33

Both people in my group ordered the curry coconut chicken and shrimp. The bowl was all liquid there was barely a serving of noodles in one bowl and almost triple in the other bowl. Both bowls only had 3 scrawny small pieces of chicken.

Diner Review №43

I’ve been to the location at Crossroads many times for lunch, but this was my first time at this location and I didn’t know what to expect. Normally I get the drunken noodles lunch special and a water, but here I got the Singapore chicken noodles lunch special and an iced tea.
Not only did I get the iced tea quickly, but I got the noodles FAST - it felt like 5 minutes, though I wasn’t keeping track.
The crab rangoon was fresh and delicate, and I’ve only had Singapore noodles one other time in my life long ago, and so I don’t really have a basis to compare it to. But after getting it at medium heat and loading it up with peanuts, I found it pretty good. What I found interesting, though, was that my body seemed “happy” afterwards from eating it (I think it was pleased that I was eating vegetables, LOL).
After paying my bill, I was offered a complimentary iced tea to go! Wow! Maybe they have free refills that I didn’t realize since I otherwise get water, but this was appreciated. This is my first time writing a restaurant review, and the iced tea forced my hand. The pic is what I had shortly after squeezing the lemon slice.

Some friends and I were there for Thursday night's birthday celebration. We had reservations and we ate out on the patio. It was a group of 12. The staff was attentive and kept everyone glass full and the food was flavorful and delicious as usual. I'm still looking forward to my next visit.

Diner Review №52

This is a nice place, I was excited to see a Thai restaurant come into downtown Overland Park. The restaurant is very cute on the inside and they even have a patio area. However after visiting the restuarant twice, I can’t really recommend the food. It’s just not that good. Especially for the price point. I’ve probably ordered 6-7 different dishes and most were mediocre. Even the Thai iced coffee was watered down and not strong. But the waiter and waitresses I’ve had were all great.

Diner Review №58

Some of my favorite food in town with phenomenal crab rangoon. Service is always good.

Diner Review №59

Diner Review №60

No good. Got what was supposed to be red curry but was drenched in coconut cream with no flavor nor spiciness. Gross.

Diner Review №61

Only applicable to the OP location.
Updated Review. 4 from 2 star.
First off getting it delivered is still hit or miss on quality. Not sure why it's so different from eating in. The quality and experience of eating in has greatly improved. The service was pretty excellent the last time we were there during restaurant week. This gave me the courage to start trying delivery again. I don't have a particularly favorite dish, but those dang banana roll desserts are 🤤.

Diner Review №62

Lulu’s used to have the most unique and amazing fluffy moist fried rice with lemon served on the side and it was AMAZING. They have not made it like this in at least 2 years and i am so disappointed. They do not use their original recipes anymore and have gone super commercial. so unfortunate bc it was actually authentic Vietnamese food before and they have fully switched up their recipes.

Diner Review №63

I've dined in before, and it was fine. But this time, I ordered takeout. The food was TERRIBLE. The basil fried rice was undercooked, clumpy, bland, and there was hardly any chicken at all. Furthermore, I ordered HOT, and it was less than mild. It was bad. Very, very disappointing, and I will not be returning.

If you want GOOD basil fried rice, go to Lemongrass Thai right around the corner. Some of the best in town!

This place is okay, but the food wasn't as good. Great customer service! Our waiter was very nice. If you want good Thai food then I recommend somewhere else.

Diner Review №69

Better than Thai Place!

Diner Review №70

First time there. Menu with many choices including low carb choices. Atmosphere was inviting. Service was good and the food was excellent. We will be back.

Diner Review №71

I had never eaten here before but I will say it is on my top five places to eat around Kansas City it was very delicious every bit of it. The drunken noodles the the squid the crab rangoon and much much more we tried a little of everything you can't go wrong.

Diner Review №72

This place has great food! However I was told the food wasn’t spicy but it was haha 😂 Also the Thai tea wasn’t as sweet.

However Great atmosphere and food. A bit pricy for Thai food but it was delicious and made a great date night spot!

I ordered the mushroom curry, Thai tea, dumplings, pad Thai and a beer and it costed about $80

Diner Review №73

Delicious food! I’ve liked everything I’ve tried there.

Diner Review №74

Diner Review №75

From the outside of the restaurant you'll think the food would be decent or actually a good " Thai " restaurant. The food was not it for us. I got the chicken Pad Thai no flavors at all. I was expecting a Orange Noodle color dish would come out and smelling good. No, it was not good at all. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!
If you want good Thai food
1) Thai Place
2) Thai Chili Cuisine

Diner Review №76

Hayden assisted with an online order through
DoorDash and honestly I can’t say enough great things about this place. Food is absurdly good and service is A1. Thank you LULU!!

Diner Review №77

Always a pleasure dining at Lulu's! This one (downtown OP) has an atmosphere much closer to the original location in the Crossroads than does the Westwood location, but they're all very nice atmospheres with great wait staff and management.

The food is always outstanding! They got rid of my favorite dish during the pandemic (it had niche popularity), but it's forced me to branch out to try most of the curries and stir fries on the menu and I haven't found one yet that wasn't excellent. If I want a go-to comfort dish, it's definitely the mushroom curry (a red curry). Also, it's been my experience that the spice level is about half a level lower than the majority of Asian restaurants. With the rice dishes, if you're used to places that give lots of rice, maybe order an à la carte order of rice to supplement the rice that comes with your meal.

If I'm eating restaurant food, I don't often get soup, but I often will order one of their 3 soups to compliment my entree if we don't get an appetizer, as all 3 are delish. That said... the Lulu's sampler appetizer is almost mandatory.

Not only is the sampler all amazing, and an even mix of veggie friendly (my spouse is a vegetarian, so will eat the spring rolls while I get the crab Rangoon [real crab]), but try to roughly price out putting together the platter by buying each item à la carte, and you'll realize this is their fan favorite acting as a loss leader. Non sequitur: If you want to separate the meat free dumplings from the ones with pork without cutting them open, at least with pan fried (I mean, you're eating dumplings, might as well go all out, amirite?), just give them a gentle squeeze. The pork dumplings will feel firmer with less homogenous insides.

Diner Review №78

Everything has gone downhill here! Customer service is non-existant, and people need to start boycotting careless restaurants who think they will always have a customer base.

Diner Review №80

Waited twenty minutes for a server to even say hello. Multiple tables had dishes from previous guests. After waiting and waiting we just walked out. Wasn’t even busy. Hopefully they get things fixed fast. Lulu’s on the blvd is much better.

Diner Review №81

The food was fantastic. The pepper steak meat was very tender.
We recommend it to everyone.

Diner Review №82

I always look for at least 1 thing I can say good about a restaurant, but this was the most disappointing experience I’ve had in a while. The food was poor, had NO flavor, and took at least 40 minutes to start coming out even though we saw plenty of servers and the restaurant was barely halfway full. Our server was barely seen, and when he was, he talked under his breath. Both me and my friend’s card was charged twice. This was not a mistake, as our cards were taken away separately. First hers and then mine. Once is a mistake, twice is not.

Diner Review №83

I would leave zero stars if I could. Truly a horrible experience.
My friend and I went in on Valentine’s Day for lunch. Lulu’s is a well known Thai restaurant and I was excited to try it.
The service was poor. I understand that it’s Valentine’s Day, but the restaurant was only half full. On top of that, I saw at least two servers maybe three. When we were there there were probably only 8 tables max. And yet we almost NEVER saw our server. When he did come, he was highly agitated and we could barely hear him, it almost felt like he was whispering. If he was actively staying on top of all his tables this would be a different story. But I never saw him. And my friend saw him sitting at the host stand for a majority of the time we were there.
None of the food came out together. And it took a long time. We were excited to try the food but were left sorely disappointed. The noodle brother was bland and flavorless, I ordered the chicken medium and again…no flavor. The food is absolutely not worth the price.
The table we were sat at was almost funny. The only table with no roses or condiments. I had to move the table just to get to my seat. It almost felt homophobic because we were two women. A strangely hateful experience.
I was just going to let this all go because we all have bad days. But then I saw that they charged my card TWICE. Then my friends card was alerted that they tried to charge her twice but her card blocked it.
Poor service, bad food and an overall disappointment.

Diner Review №84

Diner Review №85

The food was gross. I am used to the KC location off I-35 and their food is great! I don’t know what was going on, but their quality control at DOP needs work. Very expensive for gross food.

This is also not a great place if you have multiple food allergies. egg, soy, shellfish, wheat, etc in every dish.

Diner Review №86

Tried this out as a change of pace from my normal Thai place and not a fan, doesn’t taste like good, authentic Thai. Flavors just don’t hold up. If you want good Thai in the area, Lemongrass is right around the corner from here, and is delicious.

Diner Review №87

Diner Review №94

Diner Review №95

The food was really good but they were pretty busy which caused a downfall in customer service. The robot server was entertaining. I thought that would have helped but we still waiting a while for our food. One dish came out cold and had to be remade but the server was really good about fixing that.

I definitely do not blame them as it was for Restaurant Week. I'll have to return on a slower day.

Diner Review №96

Lulu's has gotten WAY too proud of themselves. I spent over $100 on a takeout order for 4 and they tried to charge me for condiments that are free if you eat in. Not much chicken in my dish either. It's ridiculous. Thai take out for more than $25 per person is insane. Won't be back.

Diner Review №97

It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, so I will have to order hotter next time. The taste and presentation were still excellent, and I loved the wall art.

Stumbled onto Lulu's Thai Noodle Shop because my initial destination (The Peanut) was closed for lunch due to a Holiday party. As a first time visitor, I wish the dish names were accompanied by a photo as I had no clue what to order. Asked our waitress for a recommendation. And Boy, she did not disappoint! The Spicy Beef Jantaboon was exceptional!

Can't wait to return and try more dishes. And Yes, I will do my research prior to my next visit.

Diner Review №105

Diner Review №106

Brittany was our server and she was above and beyond! Definitely give her a shoutout!!!

Diner Review №107

Heavy on noodles and scrimpy on other ingredients making it Overpriced in my opinion. $17 for Watery Pad Thai, lacking depth in flavor. No mung bean, Thai basil, or lime wedges... Basically no fresh items served on top as I have normally had at other Thai places.
My companion enjoyed a more robustly sauced gluten free chicken dish ($19) but she said it was not great. I hate to waste food so we mixed our leftovers and the halfway decent dish made the disappointing dish a not so bad meal the next day. I'm not interested in going back but it's not terrible, just not worth the money.
Bubble tea must not be my thing because I tried their most popular one and didn't enjoy the gritty liquid and flavorless balls of gummy tapioca.
Great service! Attentive and friendly. The place could be a little cleaner. Everything at the table had greasy fingerprints.
Robot service cart was a cute element.

Diner Review №108

Great food and good sized portions!! The lunch deals were also impressive. One thing is that if you really like spicy you should get their blazin, anything below wouldn’t be spicy enough😂 otherwise the service was amazing and friendly, and the atmosphere there was very relaxed!

Carried out. Not much flavor in the two entrees we ordered (pad thai, rainbow peanut chkn - same order we get at the other two locations), and the chicken looks like it came out of a can. Good mushroom curry, tasty beef and peppers, bad mango sticky rice.

Was in the area and wanted some Thai food. Go the mushroom curry. It was very tasty. I should have asked for the rice on the side and not at the bottom of the dish. It was super hot (temp). I ordered Medium heat and it was pretty spot on. My wife got the beef and peppers. It had a nice Basel, sweet flavor. She ordered Medium as well but didn’t have any spice. Our guilty pleasure at Thai is Mango Sticky rice. Unfortunately what arrived was a green hard mango on a pile of super hot (temp) sticky rice that was neither sweet or salt. I have had warm sticky rice before but not steaming hot. We only had a few bites and the server came by within the check and we told him it was not good. His comment was oh. Well I have never had it, it looks weird. Took the bowl and walked away. No offer to remake it or remove it from the bill. We paid and left.

We ordered delivery, received on time, but the food wasn't good. Food was tasteless, ordered the drunken noodles, the basil fried rice and the lulus rolls. Each ate half of the roll, dumped the drunken noodles and put lots of soy sauce in the fried rice.... so we at least had something to eat.

A fundraiser for cancer steered me to Lulu's for an outing with my daughter and in-laws.
It was WONDERFUL!
We started with the Lulu's Sampler and it was perfect for the four of us, so fresh and perfectly made.
We then chose food from the lunch menu, Spicy Beef Jantaboon, Ginger Chicken and Drunken Noodles. We were all very pleased.
The Crab Rangoon is to die for!!!
This place is our new favorite!

Now for the reason we went to Lulu's today-
Thru October, Lulu's is offering to donate $1.00 from two signature drinks (one alcoholic and one non-alcoholic) to Bra Couture. This organization helps uninsured/underinsured cancer patients in the greater Kansas City area who cannot pay for their cancer supplies such as cancer medication, transportation to treatment, prosthetics, wigs, surgical supplies, lymphedema services and garments, and their basic life expenses during treatment.

We were at Lulu's in OP to support cancer treatments and were rewarded with Fantastic Food and Friendly service!!

Diner Review №137

Really tasty and great service

Diner Review №138

My wife and I ate at Lulu's last night. It was our first time here and we have heard many good things. We start with some drinks, I had a Tank 7 and my wife had a mixed drink. The ice they used in her drink was in the shape of a rose, cool...loved it. We got the sampler platter and enjoyed spring rolls, Crab Rangoon and two different types of potstickers. My wife had the Pad Thai and I had Pineapple Shrimp Fried Rice. They were good sized portions but both of us agreed, it wasn't very good. They were bland and didn't have much flavor. I guess our expectations were way to high.
Also, we saw a robot bring out food to people sitting near us and when the waitress brought our food, I asked way didn't the robot bring it out? She said it was being charged. That was a bummer. Overall, there are a lot of better restaurants to get Thai food here in KC and they don't cost as much.

Super friendly staff across two locations (OLP & WW). New to the area (2nd time visiting) and made a mistake of going to WW when my food was actually at OLP. Cool, went to OLP, got our order. Thought the guy (seemed like the manager or area manager) was a bit annoyed/frustrated... Red door/To go order door entrance. He noticed me, no eye contact, no probs. Got the food, it was still high warm, so kudos for that. Yet, they forgot my gf's rice for the Mushroom Curry (smh). Gf called them, went back got the rice. Yikes, just like my Basil fried rice, it was sticky! Haiya... mixed bag this place is. WW locations has really nice plants and Canna lily's outside. 3 stars, I guess, thanks anyway.

First I want to say the location of lulu's is great near the farmers market in ovp and easy parking. I went during lunch hour and was greeted when I walked in.

I placed a to go order with laper the bartender. She is a delight 😊 thank you for my wonderful experience while I waited for my to go order and your insight on drunken noodle dish. You are correct it's not like other's but still very good. I was surprised not alot of sauce but WoW the flavor is great. I asked for medium heat didn't disappoint.

The perfect balance of spice with bursting flavors of peppers 🫑,basil,🍋lemon grass, bean sprouts and 🥜peanuts .

I also ordered Vietnamese spring rolls and I was very surprised they were perfectly done with flavor in my opinion alot of places put to much mint. Peanut sauce YUM 😋

I wasn't a fan of lulu's egg rolls loved the crispy outside and full of pork. I don't eat pork really so I may be bias.

Ambiance is very inviting relaxed and a koi fish pond.

I will be back to try more dishs curious with mixed reviews.

Thank you Again Laper the bartender!!

I would not know how the food was because no one waited on us. We sat for 15 minutes and no one came to our table so we had to leave. Everyone ignored us :( if they were too busy for more tables, they should have not accepted us.

Diner Review №156

Amazing food and you won’t leave hungry.

Diner Review №157

Got takeout here tonight when our usual downtown OP Thai restaurant was closed. We ordered online and picked it up which was quick and easy. When we got home however we discovered both our meals were dry- I got the Pad Se Eu with chicken and there was no sauce at all. I’m not sure why- there was an “extra sauce” option when ordering that cost extra but I just assumed there would be sauce on the noodles like at every other Thai restaurant that serves Pad Se Eu. Maybe you have to pay extra for sauce? Also I’ve never had a Crab Rangoon I didn’t like but these were so odd tasting I threw them out. They had this strange smoky flavor. Think we’ll go back to our normal Thai standby restaurant next time.

Diner Review №158

We love Lulu's! Great food. Great service! Great atmosphere!

Diner Review №159

BEWARE! They charge 15% tax here which is beyond what they should be collecting. And you can’t even tell because they don’t give you a paper bill by default and instead provide you an electronic payment option at the table that only contains the total. After I paid and left, I did the math which is when I realized the tax was too high. I called them and the restaurant confirmed they had the wrong tax rate and that they would refund me the tax overeager. They never did refund me which is why I put this review up. And I doubt they corrected their tax collection rate…and I doubt they give all that extra tax to the local and state agencies.

On top of that, the food is not good and the service wasn’t great. Server wasn’t bad as in rude or anything, just not attentive and slow. For example, appetizers came out after the main entrees and had an empty water glass for the last 15 minutes of our meal.

Service was great. We got our food exactly as ordered, timely, and our server kept up with refills and more drinks.

Food is good, but not great. It's consistent with Lulu's in the Crossroads. The house Pad Thai was oppressively sweet. I expected a little more spice in my "hot" dish. The fried pork dumplings were, again, good but not great. I think I would've preferred them cooked longer to get a little crispier. My partner's Rainbow Noodles were fine, but unremarkable and a little mealy.

Cocktails were very good and very unique. Priced at $11-$12, they're in a similar range as other fancy cocktails in the area. Well drinks (gin & tonic) were $9, so... Go for the cocktails. Beer selection is very modest and wine by the glass is shockingly expensive. ($10-$12 a glass for what I assume are commodity wines)

Ambiance where we sat (near the entrance) was horrible. It was so loud! I felt like I was in peoples' way... it was weird and I wouldn't sit there again. At least I dug the Bob Marley music they were playing.

I'm sure I'll be back. Learning to customize my order will help. I wouldn't plan to drink here. Maybe a single cocktail with dinner but it just gets too pricey too fast.

All in all, we got 2 cocktails, one well drink, 2 entrees, and fried dumplings. Adding in tax and a reasonable tip, it was just over $100. For that to make sense, I need to be *thrilled* with the experience. But, again, it's just good.

Great environment, friendly staff. Lunch tasted terrific.

Diner Review №163

One of those places where there isn’t one bad thing on their menu, best thai food I’ve ever had!

Diner Review №164

This is our third experience with the downtown Overland Park Lulu's. We were there last evening with a large group and ate inside. Previously, we had eaten on the patio. We feel like lunch is a better value. The food has been very good at each visit. Our server was excellent last evening, very attentive to a group of 16 people, and got our orders out rapidly and correctly. Our chief issue last evening was the volume of talk and music in the dining room. It was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation. Even when we have eaten lunch on the patio, the music has been objectionably loud outside. Overall, Lulu's is a nice addition to downtown Overland Park.

Love us some Lulus.
The spring rolls are delicious.
Great GF menu and options.
My only complaint is their “hot” spice level isn’t that hot.
Stoked that the OP location is open and nice patio for outdoor seating that has some evening shade.
Lastly, rewards program = free food!!!

Diner Review №167

Very cute place, tranquil.
I ordered the soup, it was like coconut milk from a can that had lots of carrots, snow peas and roasted chicken in it. But it didn't have much flavor.
Main course was ginger chicken. It was awful. It tasted like boiled down Ketchup. The rice was mushy.
My mom got cashew chicken and all the green beans had brown ends. Her rice was mushy as well.
I wouldn't recommend this place. Maybe other locations are better but the one in directorship OP was not worth the price.

Diner Review №168

Very nice friendly service. Food was fantastic and it’s location is really nice also. I sat in the outside seating and really enjoyed my lunch.

Diner Review №169

True that every time a restaurant duplicates it loses luster. This place doesn't have the same quality as the other spots. For $17 you'd think the noodles wouldn't be dry and overcooked. The Westwood location is way better.

Great Pad se ew

Diner Review №172

Mushroom curry with pork and the sampler was the way to go. Highly recommend the business and dishes.

Diner Review №173

Server was great, the food wasn’t what we ordered. Drunken noodles with chicken came out with no chicken and barely any of the veggies listed on the menu. Was essentially just noodles and egg. Other dish was ordered hot and came out barely medium. Also not sure why whan se u pak came with a bowl of rice if there was rice underneath everything. The person bringing out dishes puts their thumb inside the bowls as they carry them.

Diner Review №174

They have 2 Pad Thai dishes. One is traditional and the other has their own sauce. I ordered their own version.

Diner Review №175

This was our first time to this particular Lulu’s. We were very excited it opened since we live in Overland Park and the other locations can be a bit of a drive.

The atmosphere was OK. There is one main open space but there is an adjoining outdoor patio that looked nice. The wooden bench seats were a bit uncomfortable and had a slight “unfinished” feel to them. My shirt would occasionally get stuck to it. It was also a bit noisy. Between the single open room and the banging from the kitchen, it might be hard to hear others for some.

The food was still delicious. We started with the vegetable pan fried dumplings. The vegetable dumplings are not as good as the pork but still fun to try. The dipping sauce is amazing though! The pepper basil beef dish was very good. Gentle flavors that all melted together. The beef was tender. The pad Thai was wonderful, per usual.

Loved the new location - sat on the patio and had great food/drinks!

Updated Review:

My husband and I came here for our 15 year anniversary dinner unknowing that the restaurant had opened the day before. While we enjoyed the meal our overall takeaway was focused on the long waits for our server. The manager reached out to us and offered to let us try again. And I have to say, this experience from beginning to end made for a wonderful date night. We started with drinks, we both enjoyed our drinks but you must try the mango margarita. The fried pork dumplings were delicious, and then our main entrees, both the green curry and the Spicy Beef Jantaboo were amazing. Our server was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. It was a beautiful evening and we are glad we got to enjoy it on the patio. I am happy to update this review and would definitely recommend it to others. Customer service can really make or break an experience, and I really appreciate the care Lulus put into giving us a nice date night.

Delicious!! Highly recommend the lettuce wraps. Service was a bit slow.

Diner Review №181

Food is horrible, service is very slow. My fiance and I ordered fried rice and Crab Rangoon. Crab Rangoon was weird and smoky flavor to it. Rice was mushy as if it was pre-cooked and sat for a while, and then mixed in. Meat was very blend and overall meal tasted tasteless. Will never visit again. First time and last time.

1st time @ the new location, right next to OP Farmer’s Market. Had the fried Dumplings and their Vietnamese Spring Rolls. Both are tasty for sure. Patio is great to chill on a nice afternoon AND they also offer Adult beverages too (only @ this location).

I decided to indulge in their renowned Drunken Noodles. Let me just say, these noodles were bursting with flavors that transported me straight to the streets of Bangkok. The perfect balance of savory and spicy, each bite left me craving more. The generous portions were an added bonus.

Ask for Belle! She went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and that I felt welcomed throughout my meal. Belle's extensive knowledge of the menu and her enthusiastic recommendations made the experience even better.

Overall, I cannot recommend this new Lulu’s location enough. Whether you are a seasoned Thai cuisine enthusiast or a curious foodie looking to embark on a flavorful journey, this restaurant is a must have experience.

I had the Kaeng Khiao Wan Kai (green curry) which was amazing. My son had the Cashew Chicken and raved about it.
Great to have good curry close to home.

Diner Review №187

Such a great addition to downtown OP. The patio is perfection (bonus that it's partially shaded from the trees) and the cocktails are delicious - get the Mango Margarita. Even my boyfriend who is afraid of food that is not BBQ loved the Pad Thai. Staff were super friendly and spot on with all their recommendations. Will be back!

The food wasn't great. The portions were small, and was overpriced. Second, the service was horrible. Server took a long time to get our orders, and then when we got our food we had to send it back because they had given us the wrong order. I could understand that if it was super busy but there were like five other tables. 3rd We never got a refill on our water. 4th when we asked to get the server's attention he said "oh gosh what is it now" like we were being difficult! This to me implies that he thought that I am in the wrong for sending it back. I am not apologizing for THEIR screw up. I ordered the kraphao chicken and they brought out the Thai cashew chicken! Then when my order came out it didn't have the rice. I then had to ask for the rice that was SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE THERE! The rice wasn't rinsed it was super starchy, and overall the food wasn't good. Overall the attitude of the server, the fact there was NO attempt at making things right, and the "meh" quality food means I'll NEVER

Diner Review №191

Food was..fine, not spicy when ordering Hot, but flavor was fine. The service was terrible. The waiter took awhile to get to our table and it wasn't busy. Didn't introduce himself as our waiter just started talking about the bar drinks. I tried to blame it on inexperience, but he couldn't figure out how to take our order and made us wait around 30 minutes, as he was walking back and forth, before we were able to actually order entrees. The wrong food was delivered, then he acted like he we were wrong when we showed him in the menu it was wrong. He came back and was like "oh, oops, we'll fix that" the. He tried to blame some other waitress that didn't even come to our table, and why did you act like we were incorrect when you don't even know the menu. Never refilled our drinks. He came back after we had our corrected food and I was about to ask if they have any chili oil (they don't) and he said "oh gosh, what is it now". The absolute audacity to have attitude when we've been so polite and patient about his screw ups the whole time when I was just asking a normal question. I will never go back. I couldn't pay the bill fast enough and get out of there.

Great drinks, appetizers, and entrees. All our food and drinks came out faster than expected. This new location has good vibes and friendly service. I really wouldn't take stock in the other petty negative reviews. This place is awesome and I'd highly recommend it!!
