Another great KC Thai Restaurant! I ordered the Pad Sen Mee with Tofu and hot. It was very good and the vegetables were fresh! The spice did not disappoint and am still feeling it as I write the review. The service is good. My waiter was on point and friendly. I’ve eaten here a few times and it has been consistent. A little off the beaten path but well worth the trip!

A part of me feels bad, because this is now 100% my new Thai takeout restaurant. The problem is, I was loyal to the other two I usually frequent. Not anymore 😬 See, the other places are good, but Top Thai's quality is a whole notch above, AND the price is better! Portions are great, the curries are thick and flavorful... And the service is outstanding! If you haven't tried Top Thai yet, you will NOT regret it!

Too many Thai places in KC to deal with this mess. Also on Menufy it asks for Allergies and Shrimp was one of them and they added it instead.

First time trying this Thai restaurant. I've heard others talk about it and like it. We went around 4:30 on a Sunday. We were the only customers in the restaurant the entire time. 1 person did pick up take out though. Our waitress was nice and super friendly. The food was good. There were 3 of us and we all ordered mild spice. I do not believe mine was mild and I'm guessing it was medium. I got the jungle curry. It was ok. One of my children got the massaman curry and it was really good. The other dish was the seafood yellow curry stir fry (or at least that is what they ordered), but I really think it was normal yellow curry with seafood as the protein as it was served with white rice on the side. It looked good but I did not taste it.
When receiving our ticket they overcharged each plate almost $4 extra. When I pointed it out I was told it might be the tax. Yet, the tax was clearly listed at the bottom. She took it to someone who then subtracted the extra money to match the menu price, of 2 of them. The 3rd one they subtracted 70 something cents. Whatever. We were ready to go. I scanned the QR code to pay, bc they do charge 3% for debit card use. Well the code didn't work. We eventually went to the register where they popped up a different QR code for venmo. Finally got that to work after a couple of attempts.
I doubt we go back. We would prefer our go-to Thai place in OP. Food was good and service was good. Just the up charging and flat out incorrect prices kinda turned me off.

Absolutely my favorite thai restaurant thus far!! Pleasantly surprised, this is my second time && I tried their papaya salad laos style hot (to die for) in general I've not been disappointed. They check all my boxes && in a server as well, check check. Thank you for bringing a thai place to olathe

Literally the best Thai food in 60 miles. Panang curry is the best I’ve ever had. I had all but given up on finding good Thai food after moving out of souther California.
1 star for atmosphere because they regularly have a back flow sewer smell problem that is rough to dine in. But carry out solves that problem!

They have some good Asian soups. And they have sticky rice I was so surprised because I love sticky rice. A service was quick and friendly.

Good iced coffee

Thin sliced Chicken was tough! Flavor of uncooked vegetables were good along with sauce. I ended up leaving most of it! Chicken had an of flavor. This was the sweet and sour chicken. I wish they had sautéed the vegetables! Even browning the chicken would have possibly helped! It came out after almost immediately ordering. My guess is they pre cooked and then dipped everything out on the plate and called it good. But it was anything but good!!! Their top is not my top Thai!

I’ve eaten at Top Thai twice. Neither time did the employee who took my payment point out that a 20% “service fee” was added to my bill. I didn’t catch the “forced” 20% tip the first visit, nor did the employee point out that I was adding a tip to the 20% that I had already been “charged.” To presume a 20% tip on good, but not amazing food and service that is average at best, is a very poor business practice. I will not return to Top Thai.

Due to many allergies, eating out safely is very difficult. GF, soy free and dairy free were readily available and delicious.

When I say this is one AMAZING SPOT it’s truly amazing !!! Food taste delicious! Perfect amount of spicy too, for the spice lovers! Nay was very friendly, personable and help with my concern. On the phone , they recognized my voice and remembered me ! I had ordered online and some how my item was missing , however when I called, they immediately chose to address my concern w/ care by correcting my order and also giving me a freebie . This was my first time here and I’ll be definitely returning. On top of that the place looked beautiful and was a cozy environment while I waited. I cannot wait to introduce my husband and sister to this place. Thank you Nay ❤️

Had lunch here today. Our first vist as recommended by our son. Simple, clean, friendly staff & excellent food. No gaudy decor like
some Diseny Park ride through Asia. Chicken Pad Thai (medium heat) was delicious with generous lunch portions. Appitizer Combo plate was light, fresh & just prepared hot. Overall excellent. Our new favorite Thai restaurant. We'll be back for sure! Carl & Marsha Parry.

Our first time going the menu from the website looked good and fair prices. Was quite empty the just us and another family at dinner time. For the appetizer we had the crab Rangoon, which was not bad. I've had better. My spouse ordered the pad thai. I ordered the Sam Rod with duck. Both were very good and decent serving sizes. Over price was around $65 or so. I would consider giving it a try. Also FYI the extra sauces and spices they bring to you, there was r total. But all the lids of them were full of a black mold. Sort of grossed me out. But that is all I have to say. Best of Luck to them.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! The food was amazing and perfectly balanced, the flavors were on point and were amazing, the prices were amazing, and the service was speedy. All the food there is delicious and 1000% worth the try and trust me, you will end up going back. (I'm definitely going back)

I've been to this place four times. The first time, I had the pad thai for lunch and it was good. The second time, the pad thai didn't taste the same, and my husband's dish wasn't what we expected. I don't remember the third visit, but the last time I went, I ordered tiger beef and something else, but the food didn't look appetizing, and I couldn't finish it. Also, on my second to fourth visits, there was a strong sewer smell, which may have affected my enjoyment of the food, or it could have been the water used in the dishes.

Ok. I don't want to leave this poor review bc the food was actually quite tasty. The review comes from a disregard for accomdating a request for a vegetarian option. We chose this restaurant bc a previous review said "lots of vegetarian and vegan options." My daughter, who is vegetarian, asked if the vegetable pad thai was truly vegetarian or if it included fish sauce. Our server went to the kitchen to ask and then came back and said the dish could be prepared without fish sauce. My daughter was several bites into her meal before she realized she was eating CHICKEN pad thai with vegetables in it, even after telling our server that she's vegetarian and the server confirming with the kitchen that they could accommodate this. The restaurant comped that dish, but the damage was already done. Go ahead and eat here, but don't expect vegetarian options on the menu to be served that way.

This place is so incredibly inconsistent. The hours seem to change. They have the Open sign in when they are closed. They open later for lunch on Saturday than during the week. It’s completely unpredictable if they will be open or not.

Our service was a tiny bit slow but that doesn't matter when the food is this good! I had spicy ginger chicken and it was so delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food as well. This is a new favorite place.

This place was tremendous! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was clean and serene and the service was friendly and attentive.

We had the Thai fried rice. Best fried rice in the area hands down. And the combination drunken noodle pretty hearty and delicious! Medium heat is actually hotter than I thought. But anything less is bland. (If you prefer to eat spicy)

First time getting takeout from here. It was a better price than the usual place and much closer. We got the pad kee mow with chicken and the medium spice was great! Strong kick without overpowering any flavors. It was super hot and fresh and a HUGE portion. I’m a little picky about Thai food and this is definitely top 2 in the area! We will be back!

Our server was friendly, but I think communication was difficult. When we asked for our check to be split in half, he brought out 4 individual checks, which is fine, but allowed me to fully recognize a lot of our ordering issues. My son's pad thai was supposed to be medium heat, but I believe they made it hot in error because he struggled to eat it with how spicy they made it. It definitely wasn't medium heat like the one his fiancé ordered. He wasn't able to even get a fourth of it down. We brought it to our servers attention, but again, I don't think he understood what we were trying to say. When we asked if we could just give it back and take it off our ticket, a lady came out and said they did not mess up the order so fault was on our end and I've just never heard someone blame a customer for a poorly cooked meal before. She was extremely cold and condescending towards my daughter in law during their interaction so I quickly intervened and just asked that she take our bills and cards to cash us out so we could leave because she wasn't helping anyone or resolving anything. She didn't hide in any way that she didn't care. This is not the first time they've messed up our order, but it will be the last time because I don't think we'll go back to pay for mediocre food that's a little pricey for what you receive and I certainly don't need to pay someone to be rude towards us when we can get that for free. The mango sweet rice dessert was a nice ending to our disastrous meal though.

My husband gets the basil fried rice which is also super tasty. Their crab rangoon is also particularly good. We’ll definitely order again soon. There’s not a whole lot of Thai food in Olathe, but this place is all that is needed!

I got the Tom Yum with shrimp at medium spice level. My dad got the Yum Woon Sen with chicken at medium spice level. We also got the Top Thai-Sampler as an appetizer. Everything was wonderful with great flavor. The spice level was perfect, decently spicy but still full of flavor. My family is originally from Southern California so we have been to a number of Thai restaurants. Top Thai is one of the best and I would recommend it to anyone. It is definitely a gem in Olathe.

Went to Top Thai for the first time yesterday with my family and it was absolutely delicious! I tried the chicken peanut salad and the chicken pad thai, both sooooo good. Definitely recommend!

U could tell the last thing the girl wanted to do was wait tables. An ice cube hit the table. She nonchalantly picked it up and threw it under our table. She spent several minutes arguing with my wife about whether she wanted Seafood Yellow Curry or yellow curry with seafood. Yes there is a difference and we KNOW what it is. The food is good her attitude is 1 star.

Had fried rice cause I currently can't eat anything spicy. Was meh.. probably will come back when I can actually eat.

It's a cute place. We ordered medium and it was probably more of a hot level. But it was tasty!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The food tastes so good! We've had the chicken wings; coconut shrimp; and tiger cry beef appetizers - they are all delicious. The lunch salad has a mild vinaigrette with peanut crumble that is just delightful. We've had the house fried rice and top Thai fried rice w/ chicken - both are totally delicious! But, if you can't handle spice, order mild! Medium is quite spicy, haha. The service is excellent - very pleasant and attentive. The facility is very clean, and has a peaceful, pleasant atmosphere.

Food is absolutely amazing, genuinely glad there is a Thai place close to home. The servers were absolutely amazing and polite as well. Literally the only problem I had was the smell. It seems like there might be an issue with the grease trap or perhaps the sewer lines? Because the restaurant itself didn't smell great.

Until that's fixed I would 100% recommend eating out. Other than that though out of this world.

We won't be back. The food was okay. The spice levels weren't there and the flavor was meh. I'm mostly annoyed with the service. When our waitress took our order she kept interrupting me. When she brought out our food she brought steamed veggies instead of noodles like I asked for. It wasn't surprising since she clearly wasn't listening. The building smells awful and made eating there less appealing. Not a good experience at all.

Really enjoyed the food. It seemed very fresh, nice polite server and staff. Great Gluten Free options for a couple in my family that have celiac. So nice to have a great Thai place in this part of town!

Excellent food and excellent service. My wife and I both went to the restaurant on opening day for lunch. The staff, and the owner, were very friendly. I ordered basil stir fry with combo protein, and my wife had a curry. Lunches also come with choice of soup or salad (we both picked soup) as well as crab rangoon. We both definitely plan on going again. Contrary to what another reviewer said, all the staff there are very friendly.
