Visited with my wife and our first experience at Cinco was excellent! From reservation, to service, to the food it was all top notch. We were very excited to try it as Mexican and Thai food are our favorites and this place did not disappoint. We got the chips and salsa to start with. The chips were excellent! My wife got the Siam Noodles and loved it. I got the tamales that are topped with steak, onions and cilantro. Highly recommend Cinco! We will be back again soon!

I've tried many of the Thai and Mexican dishes on the menu and all were superb. I brought my family the other day and my two young kids wouldn't stop gushing compliments the entire time we were there. Favs include the steak tacos and the skirt steak with bulgogi-style sauce w/ Broccoli.

I went to this place for lunch and it was really great food,quick and friendly service. I did really enjoy it my first visit.

Called on a Friday night and the receptionist hung up on me the first time. Then I called back and she was very rude and hung up on me the second time without saying bye or anything. It wasn't an argument or anything she just was rude like she hated her job. Why would I eat somewhere when the employees don't like their job? Just imagine how much they care about what a customer eat!!

Admittedly I'm a sucker for their Pad Prik Pao especially with their spiciness level customizations! Have yet to have a disappointing meal here and staff have always been attentive and welcoming whenever I stop by.

Interesting concept - the menu is half Mexican food and half Thai food. Options include nearly everything in that there are chicken, steak, fish, and ground beef - and several dishes give you the option of which you want. There's even vegetarian. Service was friendly and our party of 4 had several questions and were all answered helpfully. Reasonably priced.

Absolutely horrible. Greasy taco shells, cold meat that tasted like it had been cooked 3 or 4 days ago. Bland. Never again.

WOW! My mom and I celebrated her birthday by eating at Cinco for the first time, and it did not disappoint! We were blown away by the quality and flavors of the food. We enjoyed a spread of the appetizers, including chicken tamal, veggie siam dumplings, fried tofu, guacamole, chips and salsa, and crispy organic spinach, as well as the siam noodles. We were freaking out about how delicious everything was. One of the best meals out that we've had in a very long time, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Went in and had the fajita quesadilla, chips and salsa, and a drink. Bartender Manny was on it and made a perfect drink. Great bartender, food was amazing, will definitely be back.

Just took my family to Cinco for a graduation party. Rented the large party room and had a wonderful 2 hours. Food and service were exceptional. Our server Thelma was on top of everything. Food was ok. Chips and salsa were good. My biggest complaint was everyone in my party got 2 drinks and None of the drinks tasted like there was any alcohol in them I had 2 mojitos and the others had martinis. $24 for 2 drinks with no alcohol in them is a rip off. Will not go back.

I took our family of 5 there at 7:30pm on a Friday. It wasn’t busy at all. The hostess was rude and sat us at a dirty table. When we sat down and picked up our menus the table was sticky, there were small bits of food on the table, and when my daughter picked up her menu there was a used toothpick under it. The hostess had just sit our menus down when she seated us. The silverware was already placed on a filthy table. I was grossed out so we left. If they don’t wipe down their tables before putting out silverware what else don’t they clean. I was looking forward to trying a new restaurant downtown but I won’t be back to this one.

My go-to place in downtown South Bend. Affordable and absolutely delicious!

Went here because I’ve always known this place to have great food good drinks. No complaint about that. Only complaint I have is that it costs almost $100 for two people to eat with one drink a person. I got three fish tacos with the smallest and I mean less than a recommendation serving amount of rice as a side, which cost $22 for what… not $22 worth of food. Next chips and salsa cost $4 and guac $10 I understand it’s not haci and chips aren’t unlimited but $14 for chips and a spoonful of guac…. A chicken beef shrimp quesadillas was $17 not terrible but also smallest amount of rice and I mean smallest amount agin, as side. So where did the rest of the bill come from I honestly don’t get it we ordered two drinks a Michelada and a Margarita, small cucumber margarita. With a $10 tip. $83.83… How I have no idea but I do know I will not be going back with that price.

We go to Cinco nearly once a month and love it. The blackened tilapia fish tacos, khao pad, and veggie egg rolls are our faves! Service is amazing and everyone is so friendly. We go so often that they know our orders and gives us ideas for drinks.

Taco Tuesday is amazing!

Great food! Great service! The bar was decorated for Valentines day, and it had an overall friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Got the taco 12 pack for restaurant week. Tacos were small. Chicken had absolutely no seasoning and was bland, al pastor was sweet???, the steak was fine. Green sauce was an extra $1.25 where other Mexican restaurants just give it with the tacos. Not worth it.

The restaurant has great atmosphere. The food prices were reasonable for the area they are in, but the drink prices were ridiculously high $11-$12 a glass. Services was good the waiters were checking in though out the meal. Food was good quality, portions were smaller then some restaurants, but that is a good thing. Normally I can eat half my meal and take the other half home to eat later. While there I was able to eat the entire plate with no leftovers.

Cinco 5 is an absolute gem of South Bend. Whether dine in or carry out, we have always gotten top notch service and food. When dining in, Thelma and Leonardo make you feel like you are family and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. For dine in, I highly reccomend the margaritas. No bottled lime juice here, only freshly squeezed. The guacamole is fresh and delicious. The take out taco Tuesday deal is amazing, absolutely delicious! Even the Thai dishes are a hit. This place does it all, never skimping on quality.

I love this place for Mexican food, my favorite is the mixed fajitas with Asparagus, no oil, no sauce, is perfection for Me...but the MARGARITA'S are the BEST IN TOWN!

One of my favorite fusion restaurants in South Bend. This place has great dishes both Thai and Mexican influenced food. You can get tofu in about anything on the menu — which is amazing for vegetarians. The service is always great and the staff somehow is always friendly and helpful when it comes to your dinning needs.

A great pad Thai and delicious egg rolls and chips and salsa!(chips were cooked to the order so no refills..) lol,.but salsa was 6/10. The star for me was the Pad Thai flavor.. noodles were a lil over,.. but ingredients and my Modelo made this camper..ah happy one !

While the food can take more than 30 minutes to arrive during really busy periods, I think it's worth the wait. I ordered a Thai dish and my bf ordered a burrito. Both our dishes were fantastic and they don't kid around with spice/hot levels, which I appreciate. The service was really good overall and I'm definitely going to be back here often!

I was in town for work again but this time I was there for dinner on my own, so it was more casual. My 5 star still applies! The shrimp tacos were excellent and the mango salsa and aioli were obviously house made.
I did not get the bartender's name but he was friendly and attentive. Even while filling drinks for the patrons in the dining room, I never had to wait for anything!
Cinco will continue to be a first choice for me when I'm in South Bend, whether for a work meeting or on my own!

Had business lunch there. The menu has latin and asian choices. I had drunken noodles with chicken. Portion was giant!

1st time stopping in How TF you gunna advertise 12 tacos for $14.99 then ring me up for $19.78 ? Almost $5 in taxes without showing its 4 taxes

I live in Milwaukee and I have never found a place yet where I have eaten all my food! Everything is so fresh and really enjoyable. I had to order the next day to make sure it was really that good and it is. Thanks guys keep up the good work!

My partner and I went on a nice date here! We had trouble deciding where because I wanted to go somewhere that had a variety of vegetarian options that wasn't just a salad or pizza with arugula. The menu is pretty diverse in itself. Like half of it is thai and the other half is mexican. I ended up being able to substitute whatever meat was in the pad thai for tofu. It was delicious! My partner and I shared chips and salsa and we each had a drink. Splitting the bill down the middle we each paid between 25 and 30 with tax. The staff was incredibly nice and extremely efficient! I could see this place becoming a regular for us. I would recommend!!

The hold these shrimp tacos have me is insane. The quality of the shrimp is top tier and every single component just adds so much to these amazing tacos! Also the horchata is so dang good, absolutely a wonderful refresher. I've lost track of how many times I've ordered shrimp tacos & horchata, but I don't see myself stopping any time soon.

This place has kind of a weird ambiance, with booth tables that are spaced awkwardly far from their benches. However, the food and drinks were fantastic. Our server was excellent, and everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. I highly recommend the blackened tacos!

Oh man what can I say. I like to try a few items for my first time at any restaurant, so I had on this first trip: Thai Iced Tea, Blackened Tilapia Tacos, Pork Egg Roll, and the Siam noodles. The tea was great, not overly sweet like I’ve had at some places, just the right amount. The pork egg roll was so hot, you could tell it was freshly made, not like a lot of places where they’ll make a bunch at once and then hold them cold to reheat when they’re ordered, and it tasted AMAZING, you could tell the ingredients were very fresh. Now the two dishes. The blackened tilapia tacos were amazing. My mouth is still watering thinking about them. The fish was perfectly seasoned and the cabbage and mango on top just really makes the dish POP with flavor. Lastly the Siam noodles. Now when it comes to spice, I’m white white. I love flavor, and can APPRECIATE heat, my body just can’t handle it anymore lol. So I ordered the baby spice level and it was still almost too spicy for me lol. Next time I’ll order the Siam noodles with no spice, because you could tell the Thai sauce it’s made with is very flavorful. If you enjoy HEAT with it, get your spicy level going baby! But if you’re WHITE WHITE like me, go with level zero lol.

I will definitely be back to this place. The person who recommended me was spot on with that recommendation, and I highly recommend that you get it too. The service was impeccable, and the two ladies who helped us were great. I think one (I can’t remember if it’s Bella or Thelma? Maybe Belma?) who was our main server, may be the owner? She was so kind, and very friendly, I can’t see why anyone wouldn’t love her!

The food was just very tasty. The chips were very crispy salsa was good. You have to order them but is only $2 and we thought it was worth it. We were caught by surprise by the crowd. Some where dressed fancy and there was not one child in the restaurant. We were with both our kids. But rest assured kids are welcomed and the fancy dressed folks was because there was an opera in the theater next door starting soon. My meal and my wife's was very good. We had Mexican. The kids also liked there stuff. Even though we are not fans of Thai cuisine we will be back and trying something from that portion of the menu. Service was excellent as well. Now me and my wife a second place we really enjoy going to eat at in town.

Average to low quality food, very poor atmosphere, and high prices make this restaurant a hard choice to justify. Admittedly, the location in the heart of downtown South Bend is great, but the food and ambiance does not merit the cost. South Bend, of course, has outstanding Mexican food, and for a more authentic — and much cheaper — experience, I'd recommend any place on Western Avenue.

This place is amazing. I wish I knew about it sooner. The Siam noodles portion was so big today is the 2nd day I'm eating them for lunch lol. They are very nice.

This was our first time here and it was wonderful great food, great service reasonably priced. It wasn’t overly loud even though a lot of the people there were going to a concert that evening. Definitely give this a try I had the pad sea ew and my husband had a burrito. Odd combinations of food that they serve but it suits us perfectly. We will definitely go back.

if someone says they don’t like CINCO they can’t be trusted. if you’ve never had CINCO please drop everything RIGHT NOW and go. I have to stop myself from getting their $7.99 lunch tacos combo every single day, for $8 you get 3 tacos AND a side of rice and beans. hello??? and their al pastor is some of the best i’ve ever had, their salsa is delicious, the workers have always been so nice and pleasant and they have a BOMB A** thai egg roll. drinks are to absolutely die for. i live within walking distance which is dangerous for my health.. one and only minor teeny tiny complaint is that one egg roll is $3, and now it’s extra for any meat on the lunch tacos. i’ll still be eating and enjoying it regardless though (i enjoy the finer things in life) 10/5 stars, i can’t say enough about cinco

Best of the best! Have been enjoying this local gem for years. The owners and Ricardo have always provided exceptional service. They are funny too and always remember what I like. Best chips and guacamole I’ve ever had. Mmm tacos tamales and beer are sounding so good right now. Oh and the margaritas are legit!

My go to place when I am in south bend. They already know exactly what I like and I don’t really have to give him much explanation. They treat me as a friend and I love their Thai menu. 100% recommended.

Wanted to try Thai food for the first time after trying a co workers food. He told me about this spot so i called in a meal he told me about, once i got there i found out that i had ordered the wrong thing, the young lady at the front counter went to ask her manager what she should do since i had ordered the wrong meal and wanted to order something different. Well the young lady came back and said that her manager said that their policy is that if i order something i have to pay for it even if it’s the wrong thing. Well i walked out and went to the jerk chicken place around the corner for dinner and i will not be back here. Great job with loosing a potential customer and wasting a meal and receiving $0 for it. The right thing would have been to give me the food that i wanted at least you would have gotten paid for the meal i wanted, you’re a restaurant, you’re going to waste food buddy well now you wasted food & lost a customer.

I have enjoyed dining at this fine establishment several times now. I love the variety! Not once have I been disappointed by the quality of food or quality of service. Have definitely recommended this restaurant to friends and family.

I lived in South Bend for five years until recently, and I went to Cinco as much as I could. Never had a bad meal. The Thai food, the Mexican food, the margaritas are all delicious, and the service is typically excellent; I’m honored to say a few of them now feel like friends! Friends who bring me great Pad Thai! What more can you ask? You would have to be some kind of fool who tries to change their order super late and then leaves in a huff to not enjoy this place.

Good food and really good cocktails. Surprising to have high quality Thai and Mexican on the menu. This place would be really good in Houston and is off the charts for South bend.

A delightful first-time experience. Perfect for a mid-afternoon work lunch with girlfriends. We had the tropical margaritas and tacos. Manny, our server was phenomenal. He was attentive and definitely elevated our experience. We will be back!

Their cucumber margarita is 90% ‘ice in a glass.’ (Still costs $11). Avoid.

I love this place. They have a very interesting menu including Mexican and Thai food. I have had Thelma as my server several times now and she is very kind and attentive. Their drinks are delicious and I’m not big into alcohol. I keep getting their spicy cucumber margarita because it’s so dang tasty. Today I got these tacos and I haven’t seen many places do a good veggie taco but these folks know exactly what their doing. This might sound weird but sometimes restaurants don’t serve food as though people as supposed to eat it. As soon as my food came out I knew it was prepared with care and maybe even a little love. This is definitely becoming one of my regular places to eat. Thanks so much!

Delicious food, great atmosphere, and amazing staff! We had chosen to go fully Mexican with our food selections and they were all delicious. You can tell everything is made in-house. The guacamole is delicious and the quesadillas were large and very filling. The star of the meal was the ranch. Our extremely polite waiter happened to have an extra ranch on his tray and gave it to us for free. He suggested we saved it for our fries, and it did not disappoint. Some of the best ranch I've ever had, we had to order another! Will definitely make frequent visits here!
