I recently visited the Thai Connection with some friends and everyone enjoyed the quality of the food. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The restaurant also had a fast seating process, which was convenient and efficient. We didn't have a reservation, but they managed to sit nine of us in a somewhat busy night. However, the only downside was the long wait time for our food due to a "computer glitch". It took about 1.5 hours for our dishes to arrive, which was frustrating given the otherwise impressive service. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for its delicious food and fast seating, but be prepared for a wait time or make sure your order is in the queue.

Wonderful Thai food with great lunch prices. Excellent selection, and the duck curry special was a nice surprise. Plus, the wait after ordering was just about 10 minutes. Highly recommended!

I was here multiple times. Never encountered such rude behavior. I came for having lunch with my wife. The waiter gave us a check after we ate, adding a gratuity of 18%. Upon questioning why she added gratuity as we are only two, she acted rude, saying that she wouldn't serve us the next time and said to take carry out from later. I am not sure if the management changed, but this was never expected from Thai Connect.

This place was awesome. We wish it was closer to where we live. We are Vegans, and everything we had was perfect. They do offer non vegan things. In fact, it is mostly carnivore and vegetarian, but we left the cheese off, and everything was escelent.,

Ordered the Kow pad online, it didn’t ask for meat choice as an option. Picked up my food for lunch and called to mention they gave me the vegetarian dish with no meat. Not a big deal as long as they are willing to add it. The customer service of the lady who answered the phone when I called is insane she started by saying “Have you touched it??” I informed her no I haven’t yet as I just sat down and opened the bag at work. She said “okay well you can bring it back but I’m going to check to see if you touched it at all” like why are insinuating your customers are liars? Wait til I get there and just see for yourself. On top of that when I did get there they said they re-used the same rice and added chicken?? Okay so if it’s the same rice why would it matter if I took a bite or not? Very distasteful in a town full of other lunch options. Do better

Weekday dinner. Salad served after main dish. In one main dish wrong choice of meat added. Curry and stir fry dishes were full of eggplant and onions and little else. Eggplant pieces were not properly cooked so asked the lady to get them cooked. She took back the dish but again served undercooked eggplant ( fork wouldn’t go in). In the end we just picked out the eggplant and ate onions.
And they charge extra if you pay by card ( who pays cash?)

It’s all about the food! Come for the food. Period. Atmosphere is a bit dated, service was great but the real star is the exceptionally flavored and constructed food.

I phone ordered the Tom yum soup today. They just give me vegan soup without anything inside. I phoned call them and they explained because I didn’t mentioned I want meat inside myself. However, my other families said every time they call for order, the store will asked which meat you want inside the soup. I just don’t understand you can simply admit that you forgot to ask when I placed the order. Why have to hide your mistake?

First visit here and it was delicious! We had Chicken Satay for starters, followed by Padd Kemau and Kao Padd. Also had a fresh, filling spectacular bowl of Tom Yum soup. Our server was Johnathon and he had perfect timing between dishes. We will definitely be coming back.

I have been here many times and the food is always delicious. Today we went in for lunch, the woman who sat us didn't even walk to the table. Literally threw the menus on the table and walked away. After about 10 minutes nobody came to the table. We finally decided after that we were just going to leave. Normally we don't mind waiting, but this woman was clearly mad and it was one of the worst experiences someone can manage in a 10 minute span and I think it may be time to find a new thai place.

Great thai place in Downtown Columbus. Our waitress Kara was friendly and courteous. Good was amazing. We enjoyed our visit to this wonderful town.

We dined in and tried the Iced Thai tea. It reminded us of Horchata, so there was a sweet, creamy flavor to the tea. We are repeat diners, and my go-to is their Padd Thai, while my husband loves their curry entrees. To-go and Door dash are options too.

We love Thai Connection, their lunch specials with clear soup and spring rolls is so good! My children love eating here as well. It's a cozy set up which gets rather busy and loud during the weekday lunches.

Received food too spicy asked for mild and waitress came back with the same food but acted as if it was mild. 6 yeah old grandkids could not handle the spice. Owner said next time order mild and mild was ordered. So found out the establishment lied about the 2nd plate being mild when it was the original plate they brought out, won't be back. Columbus is sadly a dying small town. This was 5th choice of restaurants since higher rated ones all closed at 2:30. Portions large, waiter attentive. $58 for two and they charge for credit card 3%. Specials not priced on board.

Enjoyed fried calamari to start,The pineapple rice with steak, and I also tried the chicken mixed vegetables that had a very tasty broth to it,steamed rice on the side both could be plain or with protein.Don't forget dessert, sticky rice with mango dressed in coconut milk (different but good).pleased with the turn out .

I don’t know how this place is only rated 4.5 stars. It is 100% the best Thai food in the state when you take into account portion size and taste. I live in Indianapolis and any time I visit Columbus I go to Thai Connection. I have Thai restaurants closer to me, but none of them are as good as Thai Connection.

I may have given an additional star if I had been satisfied with the spiciness level. Since this was our first visit, we both selected medium spice level. It was bland and had very little spice. The masaman curry I got tasted good, it was just bland. I would request spicy on a return visit. Spring roll was delicious. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice as well. 3% fee for credit card.

There can’t be any worst Thai food than here. Absolutely worthless. And they expect you to pay by cash else 3% extra for credit card.

We decided on this place because it was highly recommended!! We decided on the spring rolls with a chili sauce. The spring rolls were excellent!! The Crunchy cabbage was wonderful! I decided on the green curry chicken with white rice. We also ordered the pineapple chicken, the chicken pad Thai and the Kao Padd! For dessert we had the fried ice cream!! Lisa did a wonderful job!! We will be back!!

I've ordered takeout from the Thai Connection and also dined in. In both cases, the food was excellent. Very impressive, actually. I thoroughly enjoyed it and plan to return the next time I'm in town.

The dining area is on the small side, but that may add to its charm - it's a cosy place with a simple, quiet atmosphere.

Wheelchair accessibility was good, but not excellent. The entrance does not have automatic openers but it was manageable for someone with reduced grip strength in a powerchair. Available clear space under the table I was given could be improved - I wasn't able to get as near to the tabletop as I would have preferred.

Overall, this is a place I'd highly recommend. Enjoy!

Hello, I really hate to leave this review, but I feel that I must. I want to start by saying this was one of my favorite places to eat. However, not now. The food was not as good as it has been in the past and I felt very insulted by our server. I will explain both in just a second. The owner is very friendly and when she is there she always greets you with a smile.
Now the first thing, the food:
I got a Thai ice tea and that was very good. I got a small bowl of Tom Yum soup with tofu and hot spice level. The mushrooms in the soup were cold and completely uncooked. It was like they spooned out the soup and just before bringing it to the table, they threw in sliced, uncooked, cold mushrooms. I have never gotten this soup like this before. It has been very good in the past and the mushrooms they once used were really good, but not these. The mushrooms ruined the soup.
I also got Thai fried rice, not the basil rice and not the pineapple rice, but the plain Thai fried rice. Usually this is delicious. It usually has a little sweet taste, maybe that was because of the onions they once used in it. The rice was ok, it didn’t have that sweet taste it has had in the past, which was delicious. I got the Thai fried rice with shrimp and hot spice level. The shrimp was cold and not cooked enough. Shrimp must be thoroughly cooked in my opinion. That is the only way I can eat it. I couldn’t eat the shrimp, I gave it to my partner sitting at the table with me. He told me that he thought it needed to be cooked a lot more, but he ate it because he didn’t want to waste food since so many people are unable to purchase enough food to feed their families. So the soup and the rice dish were not good.
Now, the comment from the server that made me feel incredibly insulted:
He was very good at taking care of our table, bringing drinks, food, and refilling drinks. We have had him as our server many times and he is always pleasant and he is a very good server. I hope he did not mean to hurt my feelings by his negative comment. He told me I reminded him of Rosanne Barr.
I am totally repulsed by Rosanne Barr! I do not watch her show because she repulses me. She plays a fat lady, a slob dresser, a big mouth with a horrible attitude! I will never watch anything Rosanne Barr is in. She is repulsive! I remember how she made fun of the National Anthem once by singing it in a horrible way. And, she thought that was really funny by insulting our Nation. She is an extremely repulsive person in my opinion! I felt incredibly insulted by being compared to her. What a true insult.
What makes this all so horrible to me is the fact that I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. I could have chose any restaurant, but I chose Thai Connection to celebrate and have my birthday dinner.
With the bad food and with such a negative insult, I will not return to this restaurant again. There are many Thai restaurants to choose from and from now on, I will choose another Thai place to eat one of my favorite foods.

Food is great in taste, quality and price.

Food is very tastey, good ambience. Have to say it is reasomably priced for lunch but something happen at dinner where the prices are insanely high!! I just spent $25 bucks, including tip, for a beer and an entree...but to be fair, portions are generously sized. However, they might see more people (as well as less number of folks who share items) if they reduce the price as well as portions slightly...I would think dinner dishes here should not be priced more than $10-12 max. Anyways, price is the only reason for 4 stars, everything else was flawless! Good to see they've kept quality consistent since they opened .

Really love eating here. Always have amazing service. My favorite dish is the pad thai woonsen thai hot. The bean thread noodles are really good and do not set heavy on the stomach. I prefer really spicy, but the level of spicy can be altered to more sensitive stomachs.

We like to stop here when we come to Columbus. Good food, great service. Everything we've had has been really tasty, and the portions are VERY generous. My only complaint is that the hot isn't really hot. Last time I asked for between very hot and thai hot, what I got was mild to medium at best. Still tasty though!

Cardboard Honestly. Not what it was, sadly. This restaurant has lost all its flavor & spice with Lower quality extremely bland & "tasteless" food. Hopeless waiters. The hostess is not very gracious either. I don't know what happened.

I believe tip should be a choice of customer to pay based on their expericence.For our last visit we were three and dish I order I didnt like so i order extra dish so bill end up going high and they charged 18% graduatity on total bill. This Thai restaurant offers the best food in town at a great price! I took my wife here on our first date. We got married and moved into an apartment on the same block as the restaurant, we would eat here multiple times a week.

We moved further into town, but I still visit the restaurant for lunch at least once a week since my office is only two blocks away. We don't get out much since our son was born, so I try to bring her some takeout at least once a month, and she always loves it. I am pretty sure the staff knows me as the 'Pineapple Fried Rice Guy'. Highly recommended!

Thai connection has the best Thai food I have ever had. Every dish I have tried is so flavorful and everyone is always so nice. I drive about an hour to get here and it’s worth it every time! Highly recommend this place if you love authentic Thai :)

The staff is pretty reluctant in moving chairs etc.. for a team lunch. They were all the time pushing for extra chairs added here and there instead of merging the tables together.

Thai Connection has great food and service. It is definitely a hidden gem in downtown Columbus! My wife had a filet, which was a special item for the night. I had Padd Thai and it was delicious. I ordered it vegetarian but added chicken and will definitely do that again since the regular chicken one doesn’t have enough veggies for my liking. Great place and highly recommend it

I have been to this restaurant before and always enjoyed the food. But the quality has gone down. We ordered 2 types of curry. Both of them had very sparse vegetables and meat. It was not the restaurant that we had gone to in the past.
