Food was meh. Waitress wouldn't stop talking to us about how she was a nutrition student and kept interjecting into our conversation. It was a really awkward experience and made us all really uncomfortable. My daughter is potty training. I had to take her to the restroom and it was much cleaner and nicer than I expected.

Wonderful family owned Thai restaurant. We go here for every special occasion! It's the details in the "little" things - specially imported options from Thailand, the history on the walls, the love poured out by every family member who works there... it always fills our hearts and bellies.

Diner Review №3

Wow - I haven't dined here since the pandemic -- it was GREAT to be back! Anyway, I was craving Thai food big time, last Thursday night 1-2-2025, so I ordered almost $200 of it! (The online ordering system worked out quickly and smoothly!) All the food was spectacularly hot, fresh and delicious! My order was also ready on time and accurate! The inside of the restaurant looked cozy, festive and very clean too! (Maybe next time I'll dine in)!

Phenomenal taste, presentation, and service! They serve perhaps my favorite tom kha gai here; it’s so hearty and fragrant and warms the soul in a cold winter night. The papaya salad is crisp, zesty, and addictive. I’m definitely excited to come back and try more of the menu!

What a great place! Thai food made by Thai people!

Diner Review №9

Delicious food. Wonderful music & ambience.

Ken is a funny and attentive server, and a blessing as a human.

Try their special sexy sauce.

I’m not kidding. It’s amazing.

I almost took off one star because Ken didn’t dance to “Sexy Back” by JT while delivering the food to our table.

Totally kidding. Inside joke. :)

This was one of my favorite dining experiences ever.

Sincerely!!!!!

🤤

Diner Review №10

My favorite Thai place. Curry is a bit spicy even if you order it mild but probably the way its supposed to be. Great fresh spring rolls.

Best Thai food in the greater area, without question.

Diner Review №14

A solid choice for Thai food in the burbs. Even the ants love it! There was a tiny ant roaming around on my plate. It gave the food the thumbs up and I gave it a thumb.

Our waiter was very nice and friendly. We ordered the chicken with garlic sauce, pad see ew, and the fried catfish. All were really good. Besides the ant, and the constant flying of a hungry gnat, the dining experience was good. I'm not a fan of the sticky rice and mango, but my dining partners in crime enjoyed it. The chicken in my dish was somewhat dry, but I get it... chicken is hard! Pad see ew was solid though. Overall, a good meal.

BATHROOM REVIEW: Located in the back, past the kitchen, the bathroom was VERY nice. I think it was nicer than the restaurant dining area itself. Clean, modern, and pleasant, I'd sit on that bad boy any day.

Diner Review №15

This is a family owned business. When you walk in you get a warm greeting and great conversation. Food is amazing and affordable. I’ve been addicted to this place for since 2012 when I moved to palatine. Must try! Will not disappoint!

Diner Review №16

I ordered the sesame noodles off the “Signature Menu”. It clearly states that there is crab meat and shrimp in the meal. When it came to the table, there was no crab meat. When I asked the server, she said it was “fermented” crab. I asked what that meant, and all she could say was that it was fermented. Totally false advertising. Also, my sister ordered the beef with pepper and tomato. It tasted like it was burnt. Not sure I’ll be back.

We ordered veg rolls , egg rolls, green curry, tom yum soup, pineapple fried rice.
All of them below par.we ordered by the online review and really disappointed with the order.
Green curry is watery and sweet. There was not even a single egg plant even though description says it comes with egg plant.
Tomyum soup is clear soup not as authentic one.
In pineapple fried rice, we had to search for the pineapple.
In egg rolls and veg rolls, we could not tell the difference between the two.
This is our first and last time order from them.

We've been ordering takeout from here ever since we moved nearby and honestly it's the best Thai food we've found anywhere close. The Pad See Ewe and Rama Noodles in particular we order over and over again.

Just like any good Thai place, be warned about ordering extra spice. Even the medium, for me, is hot. That said, it is extremely flavorful and addictive, even if it is painful.

Diner Review №34

Placed an online order at 6:53pm with confirmation email saying pick up at 7:23pm. Arrived at the restaurant at 7:15pm. Was told they haven’t even gotten to my order and it may take another 20 mins. Ok. A table of 14 people arrived when I arrived for my pickup and they are currently eating while I’m still waiting for my to go order more than an hour after I placed it. Will never return. Not sure how this place gets high ratings. The staff shows no urgency or tried to accommodate or make up for the terrible service and wait. Saw the owner come out to apologize to another patron for the wait but she made no attempt to apologize to me. 8pm and still no food. Oh also want to mention that when you make an order online to double check the tip bc they automatically add it.

Ordered beef pad see ew and the beef was burnt and overcooked making the whole dish taste burnt. Over an hour wait for burnt noodles. $55 on soup, pad see ew, and a small little soup container of curry. Thai tea was mostly milk. Not worth the money. Do not recommend.

Diner Review №35

Order food for pick up online and had a confirmation rime of pick up at 7:20. When I got to the restaurant they stated they haven't even started working on my order even though I showed them my confirmation time. A table of 14 came in after me and are eating they're food while I still wait for my to go... this place didn't even try to show urgency or accommodate me in anyway.... Unbelievable...

Diner Review №38

Super friendly staff and great, quick service. Best Pad See Ewe I've ever had!! Looking forward to going back again soon.

Diner Review №39

I enjoyed Siri Thai Two with family tonight. We ordered many dishes and shared it amongst everyone family style. Not one subpar dish on the table, and everything we had was delicious. The spice level was consistent with all the dishes and it was at a perfect heat level. For those that like the heat, they ask you ahead of time how hot you like it. I highly recommend this if you're looking for excellent Thai food.

Diner Review №40

Thai place, seriously !!! Ordered green thai curry tofu, curry fried rice with shrimp and kung pao chicken. Kung Pao chicken looked like a runaway flooded and had no taste and for some reason full of carrots(a lot) . Green Thai smelled of uncooked spices and watery as well. The only (near to) ok was the curry fried rice but that looked sad too. Can't comment on the atmosphere inside but it looked nice. 2 stars just for that.
I had a takeout on Friday evening. Will never order from here again. Would not recommend.

Diner Review №42

Peaceful atmosphere, fine dining and cuisine, large portion sizes with quality food at reasonable prices, service excellence, this place has it all.

I had the Beef Medley the first time and Melanie Chicken the second and both were fantastic. Unique & signature tastes make them memorable for your taste buds for years to come.

Interior decoration and layout makes it feel so authentic and everything from the food and environment screams passion, warmth, and love in all the work put in to this restaurant.

Amazing place!

Diner Review №53

I thought I was being Punked. I ordered 4 things it was 60.00 dollars. The 2 chicken satays were not marinated and were tough and stringy. They forgot all 6 sauces I paid for. The shrimp dish was only a 1/4 of the way full with 4 tiny shrimp that were chewy. The Vega tables in this dish were out of a frozen bag not fresh. I know because it had all sorts of random vegetables I have purchased in the frozen section at jewel. Lima beans corn peas and more. The sauce was just a flavored water. PLEASE ORDER SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! The pad ke Mae had No meat or egg as requested, and had 6 noodles.. THIS HORRIBLE FOOD SHOULD NEVER BE PURCHASED!! I would have taken it back but I live 45 minutes away. I happened to be in palatine at the time. Save Your money!!!

Diner Review №54

I picked up some Pad Thai and it was delicious.

Diner Review №55

When we went to Thai Siri service was good. Food was just OK with noodles and rice not cooked properly. What surprised us that they had vegetarian curry that had shrimp sauce in it. How can you call it Vegetarian? Its best called Pescatarian not vegetarian. They need to get their menu sorted.

If you're looking for Thai food—nay, any food at all—look no further. The service? Fast and friendly. The decor? Hypnotically red. The food? Delicious and spicy (if you want it to be). The music is the best lofi mix I have ever heard. The fish tank has alive fish. Even when I move away, I will come back to this restaurant because it has rocked my world. Get the mango sticky, it's life changing.

Diner Review №79

Thai food is probably my favorite cuisine next to my own native Vietnamese food. Their flavors are so distinctive and the scale can range from sweet to sour and they can really turn the notch on spice. They also use a variety of garnishes and vegetables which reminds me of a close resemblance to our Vietnamese cuisines.

I caught up with an old friend of 6 years and we tried a new place and it did not disappoint. Everything was so flavorful, foods came out smoking hot (like the escargot appetizer) and spiced just right (such as the Seafood delight which has actual and good proportion of seafood) and I enjoyed everything even down to the sauces that the spring rolls laid upon. My friend also ordered Sesame Noodles (not pictured) but I had a taste and it was good. It was a dish with fine thin noodles and had seafood also. She finished it all and said she liked everything here. We ordered both of our entrees off of the Signature menu.

Prices were fair, proportions were good enough to share and the food and service was timely. I also appreciated the nice plates/ China they used and even down to the glasses they had for water. It made the place feel a bit more upscale. The restaurant has a nice ambiance with their authentic decor and menu selections. I was happy with my visit and I will be back. Definitely recommend this spot for any Thai food lovers out there. (Tip: their location was a bit tricky to find so route yourself using Google and not Apple Maps)

Diner Review №80

Tom Yum soup was flavorful. It could use more mushrooms and less meat (chicken) in my opinion. I liked the red curry with chicken which was savory and sweet. It was a bit spicy for the "regular" level of curry spiciness I chose but nevertheless tolerable and not so overwhelming that it couldn't be eaten. Mango with sticky rice was to die for!
I was at a conference today in Palatine and remembered from staff at Siri Thai in Hanover Park that it opened a location in Palatine SO HERE I AM! :) My husband and I were regulars at Siri Thai when it was located in Hanover Park. Sadly, we moved too far away from it over 20 years ago. We found a Thai restuarant close to my home that was on par with Siri Thai but it folded several years ago.
Miss me some Siri Thai!!!

Diner Review №81

Always our preferred stop for Thai cuisine. The food is always good and I have never been disappointed with any of the dishes. Restaurant is family owned and they're the friendliest! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Not tasty at all!

Diner Review №86

I am so ashamed I've been eating here for over a decade and never written a review. I always order the fried rice with shrimp. Today I learned that Ron passed away a couple years ago. I am very sad to hear this. He always was so talkative and such a nice man. He will truly be missed.

Diner Review №87

Friendly service. Drunken Noodles were tasty, but the noodles were thinner than I’m used to, and the dish was overcooked and a bit mushy.

Diner Review №88

Diner Review №89

Fantastic food!

Diner Review №90

Best Thai in town. Always get the red curry and spring rolls. Thai fried rice is excellent too.

Diner Review №91

Great food and service 👌

Diner Review №92

Ordered green curry w/chicken and crab rangoon ($18 and $10). Portions were tiny, about a cup of curry with 1/4 of 1 breast worth of chicken. Only 4 crab rangoons which were barely stuffed. Even the carton of rice was the tiniest one. Thought we were getting food for 2 but it was just barely enough for 1. We had to make our own sandwiches. We feel like we were RIPPED OFF. I am a competent and logical adult, this review is 100% accurate and honest.

Ordered takeout over the phone. They misheard my order, but let me keep the one they gave me and the one I wanted. Both were delicious.

Diner Review №100

Food was good. Screwed up my order wanted yellow curry chicken and pad Thai chicken and got two pad Thai chicken
When I arrived at restaurant woman was waiting on tables, taking carry out orders and and answering phones. She seemed very aggravated with situation which resulted in my order being wrong.

Diner Review №101

Food was pretty good, got two entrees for dinner and lunch the next day, they were priced kind of steep so I assumed they were a good size. They were unfortunately smaller then I'd say the average portion but priced higher. 4 star food, but 3 star value.

Diner Review №102

We were looking forward to some delicious Thai food after an all-day move. Thai Siri Two was close and we had hopes. Sadly disappointed. Despite all four of us being famished, three were unable to finish their dishes. Needless to say we found the food sub par. I ate the most but it was work.

I had yellow curry with chicken. The sauce tasted more of fish sauce than curry (and yes, I like fish sauce and keep it in the fridge). There was hardly any chicken in the dish. Most surprising was the vegetables. It appears they used a bag of mixed frozen as it contained corn and small cuts of green beans along with the carrots. Weird

We also had an order of shrimp spring rolls which were loaded with egg. Why? Did they have egg sitting around? We didn’t finish these as they were pretty much inedible.

To add injury to insult they charge top end Thai restaurant prices. Now maybe this isn’t fair as my personal measuring stick is Lotus of Siam in Vegas. But the fact is I paid similar prices for a very inferior product

Diner Review №103

Amazing Thai food- Mu favorite of all O tried on every state. The owners are good people. I am happy they finally have good gluten free options.

Diner Review №104

Been coming here for over a decade, the food is great, and the family staff is even better! The food is excellent- I would recommend the pad se ewe! With half chicken and half beef! The queen of tofu is a must and so is the Thai custard and even the bubble tea! All in an authentic Thailand atmosphere.

Diner Review №105

Food was good and service was prompt for takeout order. Will try again.

Diner Review №106

This used to be our favorite and reliable place to feel welcome and enjoy amazing food! The last times were disappointing in several ways. Food portions were drastically reduced and price’s went way up! No option for a cocktail. What happened to the wonderful restaurant?

Diner Review №107

Went to eat there and took the Spicy Crazy Noodes. While the name may be intimidating, I found the food quite welcoming.

Diner Review №108

Siri Thai is definitely the place to beat for Thai food. Their Pad Thai is outstanding, and the spiciness is precisely made to order. Highly recommend their crispy eggrolls or spring rolls too. Delicious!

Diner Review №109

Excellent genuine Thai food.

Diner Review №110

Diner Review №111

The best fresh spring rolls i have ever tastes. Their homemade sauce is a treat too.

Diner Review №112

Chicken Yellow Curry (medium) was excellent. It is different from what I'm used to - no potatoes and has peppers and mixed vegetables but I loved it. Their appetizers have real crab and were also delicious. We'll be coming here again.

Diner Review №114

Not suitable for vegetarians and for those who have seafood allergies!!!!

We ordered Red curry and green curry with vegetables and tofu and Pad Kee Mou (veggie with tofu) to go on Christmas (12/25/2021) for dinner. Specifically, before placing the order, I enquired about shrimp/ fish products in their curry pastes and was assured that they had none of those. When we got them home, the red curry had a strong smell of sea food and there was a hint of sea food smell in the green curry. When I phoned the restaurant about this, the owner informed me that the red and green curry pastes were made by someone else for them and not made by them. On enquiry, she did not know its contents. I asked her to read the contents of the paste and she then found out that the red curry paste had shrimp in it and the green curry paste did not have sea food according to its contents that she read out to me. We returned the red curry and she apologized and refunded the money for that. The green curry paste also definitely has shrimp paste in it, probably in lesser amounts. We couldn't eat the green curry too, because of the seafood smell. Whatever little we initially tried to eat has left a strong smell on my hands even though I used a fork to eat dinner. Perhaps we should have returned the green curry also.

Either, the owner missed out on reading the label of food ingredients or the manufacturer did not list it which would raise the concern for people who develop severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis to shrimp or other sea food.

The owner informed me that Thai restaurants do not make their own curry pastes these days. I cannot comment on the veracity of that as I don't know further details. For comparison, we have never had red and green curry dishes smelling of seafood/ shrimp at Dan Thai in Schaumburg. I need to ask them where they get their curry pastes from.

The other ribbon noodle dish was oily to a degree and predominantly sweet as I had asked them not to make it spicy.

Overall, a very disappointing experience for us as with vegetarian food order that we placed! The owner was very courteous in my conversation with her. I wish that they know all the ingredients that go into their food as it can lead to a huge liability if someone develops a severe allergic reaction such as anaphylaxis.

Delicious food and amazing crew

Diner Review №121

This is a hidden gem in the Palatine area. It's a family run restaurant and the food is very authentic. The staff is extremely friendly and was very helpful in choosing our entree's. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of a small strip mall but the inside was clean and spacious. The food is delicious and they give you plenty of it. The owner offers coming classes on Saturday mornings where she will walk you through cooking several dishes which you then eat. It was $85 per person last we went but she said it takes about 3 hours. Haven't done it yet but can't wait to give it a try. Enjoy!

Diner Review №122

😞 but this was a bad experience for me. Fist, tom ka soup was missing the lemongrass flavor. Secondly I asked for mild spicy penang curry,it was very hot and no peanut flavor at all and it was extremely salty for my taste.
I also found carrots and corn in my sauce, which was very odd in penang curry. I'm hopeful the weird experience was caused by a supply shortage of Covid.

Diner Review №123

We are obsessed with this place! The absolute best Thai food in the suburbs. The meat is high-quality and you never get any weird pieces. So so good, just wish the portions were a little bigger.

Diner Review №124

Great Thai food 👌

Diner Review №125

Excellent food the owner is very kind and diligent. A nice family run restaurant

Diner Review №126

Siri Thai is run by people from Thailand who know how to cook. In fact they offer classes on how to do it, but I digress.. On weekdays, there are few people here. That means great service, attentive wait staff, fast meals. There's a full bar as well as foofy drinks like bubble tea and smoothies. There are all the Thai food standbys and some things I wouldn't expect like escargots. They allow you to pick the level of spiciness. My son and I love it hot and spicy. My daughter - make it bland. And, we are all satisfied. The atmosphere makes one feel a bit like one is in Thailand and provides a basis for conversation. This is in a strip mall, which probably hurts their business a bit, but makes it easy for good service - and it is right on Palatine Rd. in the center of town

Good place.... good atmosphere, the people are friendly, there are lots of good dishes.... they even have my favorite: roast duck. The prices are about what you would expect from Thai place, I would expect even say a bit lower than average. Only thing to note: they do not serve alcohol - nor an issue for me, but might be an issue for some people.... I am really glad that I went there and will secondary be back again

Diner Review №137

Probably the first time I've given a review right after eating food. I normally wait a day or two to formulate my opinions.
Note that this is purely from a vegetarian's (don't eat meat or fish) point of view. People who eat meat or seafood may not agree with my review.

Being a vegetarian, we have to specifically ask for no meat, fish or oyster sauce or any other sauce derived from fish whenever we order in Thai or Chinese restaurants. Which is what we ordered and the person assured us that they will make it purely vegetarian/vegan only. Every single item (with the exception of Curry fried rice which wasn't bad) smelled and tasted of fish. We've ordered from other Thai places and never had this problem. My entire family threw away the entire food they ordered and are making sandwiches at home- it was that bad. A complete waste of $90. The food wasn't cheap. And for this I gave a $10 tip for a carryout hoping the food will be good.

If you are a vegetarian, stay away from this place. There are better Than places to eat around here.

The dumplings and egg rolls were without taste or salt. Only dish that was tastier (comparatively) was the curry fried rice.

Diner Review №138

Always an excellent meal. Authentic and delicious. Always prepared with quality. Melanie Chicken is excellent!

Diner Review №139

Almost 5 stars. The food is good, hot, and they follow the spiciness level you request. Others in my group had the Thai tea and Thai coffee of which they both enjoyed. The downfall for me was the sauce served with the potstickers. The flavor profile just doesn't compliment each other.

I have ordered food from Siri Thai many times before but tonight’s meal was exceptional! Everything I ate (Escargot with garlic bread, Tom Kha Kai soup and Pad Thai noodles were by far the BEST I’ve ever had!) they even gave me an order of delicious pot stickers for free that were also fabulous! I called to let them know they have the best cook in the kitchen tonight and I don’t usually call a restaurant back or write reviews but this was phenomenal and to top it off prices are reasonable. I can’t wait to go back!!

Diner Review №152

Most authentic Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. Great taste, quick service, and fairly priced. My family and I have been coming here for around 20 years. I think the owner was pregnant when we first started coming and now her kids are old enough to work in the kitchen. I've never ordered something I don't like here. The Queen of Tofu is a house specialty and apparently only made here.

Diner Review №153

Diner Review №155

This place has been a staple in my life since I was 4. I might be biased but their pad thai is the best I've ever had, mind you I have toured this country and like to sample ethnic food from out of state quite often. Also, if yoy have allergies, this place is VERY accommodating! My brother is highly celiacs and is allergic to a bunch of other things and unlike a lot of places,
Siri Thai will actively ensure that there is no cross contamination. You wouldn't believe how many places will either outright refuse to take these sorts of precautions or straight up lie resulting in my brother having a reaction. To the owners: I love you!

Good food and nice people at a reasonable price.

This place was really good but has become below average over the years. I ordered broccoli tofu, it had nothing in it except some very thin vegetable broth with some broccoli and tofu floating in it. They charged me almost 11$ for this dish! I am not going here anymore.

Best Thai food in the northwest suburbs! Have to be gluten free and they help you navigate. They make it easy. Most items are gluten free, including their soy. Great food, friendly professional staff who make everything right!

Food is all delicious and they have the best Crab Rangoon!

Great Thai Style Rice - go medium hot.

Fabulous little restaurant! The staff were phenomenal, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. They seemed educated in service dogs, as well, and were very respectful of my dog's job, never interrupting her or distracting her.

The food was amazing, from start to finish. Nicely decorated, elegant but not over the top or gaudy in any way. I'll absolutely make the trip back for dinner again sometime!

Everything is delicious! The Melanie chicken is a must! Crispy, sweet, spicy, and tangy, like a Thai version of General Tso's but waaay crisper. Papaya salad also delish!

Awesome Thai food, full of flavor, and good pricing. The lunch specials are a great bang for your buck.

The food was quite good. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our entrees quite a bit. I wish I remembered what they were called. They were some kind of glass noodle dishes.

We asked for medium spicy papaya salad but I think their definition of medium is different from ours. It was very spicy. This was odd since I asked for spicy ton yum soup which was less spicy than the papaya salad.

Anyways, the young waitress is clearly new to the work but you can see that she's trying. She was quite nervous and you can tell shes afraid to ask things if she forgets whose dish is whose.

The oldest employees there are super friendly. I actually enjoyed the papaya salad (it was too much for my girlfriend) and I put it in a to go box and was about to leave but one of the older ladies was like, "no no. You need to get all the juices." Made my evening to hear that. I then almost forgot the box and she yelled after me about it. 10/10 to her haha.

In short: mild here is like medium anywhere else. I'm European by birth and blood so I'm not accustomed to such spice. If you're used to very spicy food then get medium or hotter. The papaya salad will get you feeling!

My #1 favorite Thai restaurant. When I lived in the area I was a regular.

Now I visit when I'm in the area.

Pretty place and good veggies

Dude this food cleared up my acne so much. After eating here for a week everyone in my family was telling me how much my face has improved. This food is magical. Please eat.

Very disappointed! The sampler platter appetizer was fried to a dark crisp. The Pad Thai sauce was overly tangy and the shrimp was dry. First restaurant I've ever been to where nothing was good. Worst $60 I've ever spent!

Wow! This just became my favorite Thai place in the burbs. Not that I'm a Thai connoisseur but this was amazing. The crab Rangoon is amazing, I get it most places I go and this is by far the best. More crash than cheese and really good! The Pad Thai was spot on and Lad Nar was different than other places I've been but also much more to my taste.

We went in a Friday night and had no trouble getting a table. The owner stopped by and talked with is for a bit, making us feel right at home! We'll be back in short time for sure!

So we walked in and were kindly greeted by a friendly Asian man. He seated us in a nice large booth with our menus on the table. Shortly after, a quiet, unfriendly Asian women reluctantly approached our booth and took each of our glasses and attempted to fill them up with water. With a slight tremor, she was attempting to pour the water from the side of the container, instead of where the water should flow, and it was getting all over the glass, on the carpet and then on our table. She did not make any eye contact and again did not say a word, until I inquired if she was our server. She said "yes." I asked what her name was and she told us. After pouring the water, she walked away and sat down. She didn't ask us for drinks, an appetizer, or interact what-so-ever. It was beyond creepy, that we got up and left. She obviously didn't want to be there and we were not interested in staying in that atmosphere, that resembled "The Children of the Corn," Asian version. I hope she is not being trafficked??
