Spicy mussels were spicy with okay flavor. Again, not wow but good.

Panang curry with tofu and a side of brown rice. The rice could have cooked a little more, no flavor or seasoning, but a goof blend. The curry portion was goof sized and had really good flavor. One spice level from what I could tell and it was not too much or too little. Enjoyable.

Pad tahi with chicken best part of the meal. Super well done and lots of flavor.

Coconut kisses foe dessert was the other really goof part of the meal. Really enjoyed that dessert.

The server was attentive and caring. Atmosphere was clean and homey. Would visit again.

Nice atmosphere, the staff was friendly. We got to sit in a cozy area however the cushions were dirty, lots of food stains, looked kind of gross. The decor is nice, trendy and the food was great! I definitely will be going there again but maybe just sit somewhere else.

Somkit used to be one of out favorite places to eat but sadly they have a sign on the door stating due to covid they are lacking in kitchen help so you should be patient and boy did it prove to be the fact. We were initially the only guests and service still took a very long time. The hostess was outstanding she is very quick and friendly but after that everything took a very long time. The food is definitely not as good as it used to be the Lumpia was over cooked and the filling was lacking in flavor, most of our meal was lacking in flavor and presentation.
We will definitely go back again to give them another chance but we will definitely wait for a while in hopes they get themselves together and it goes back to their past excellence.

Great Thai food/ and sushi

Tiny quaint restaurant. I've only tried their sushi, and appetizers, but A+. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a chic place in the city. Crab Rangoon, lumpa, dynamite roll, unagi roll, giant roll. We've never been disappointed.

Very disappointed with the sushi. I believe it’s made at a different location. The appetizer soft shell crab was a HUGE waste of money. Maybe next time we’ll go in and try the Thai noodles. The lady on the phone was very nice and helpful.

Safe to say the best healthy restaurant jn town! You will not be disappointed and the place has a great eclectic feel. I've been coming here for years. One thing the business can work on.... training their servers. Twice now parts of my meals have been left in the kitchen when I was ready to go. Servers are inexperienced; different than prior years.

ALWAYS top notch! Customer service is excellent! Orders are ALWAYS on point! They deserve more than 5* so 10/10!!!

Incredible variety of Thai cuisine. I had the sweet potato roll, which was delicious, and a seaweed cucumber salad. Also had the Hazlenut flavored Thai tea. Service is very good.

Waitresses took forever to take my order and say they will be right with you then the other says has someone taken your order nope not yet. It took them 10 minutes to take my order and then another 10 minute wait finely I got my order after waiting another 20 wait.

This is a really nice and trendy place, but the dishes are really not great at all. I've tried 5 different dishes at this point and the flavor and quality is not there. I've gone to the Thai place in Rock Falls a number of times and its significantly better tasting food.

The food is generally good there, but this time I got my sushi roll and every piece of avocado was practically not edible. I was just really disappointed they would put this in a roll.

We dropped in during the Worldwide Metaphysical Tribe's event for dinner and were not disappointed, the food came out quick, hot and delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We will definatly be back~

Tried the Panaga Curry. It was excellent. Lot's of flavors with a great Thai basil. Also everybody was very friendly and the service and kitchen speed was great. Would highly recommend.

One of very few top-notch sit-down restaurants in the area. The sushi is very good, definitely rivals some metropolitan sushi bars. Top recommendations on the menu are seaweed salad, spicy fried rice, crazy noodles, salmon skin maki, the Tropical, and their Thai iced tea. Oh, and if you feel adventurous, ask for a special sushi off the menu called The Inappropriate. You won't be dissapointed!

The food was hot but i don’t think it’s appropriate for servers to take orders and then openly complain about their tables. I guess servers just don’t know how to simply do their jobs and be discreet about their differences with patrons anymore. I’ll just have to stick to Touch of Thai II from now on.

the coffee is excellent- I usually go there for a Thai iced boost when I need it!! But food wise, it is all that's in the area so it is good for what it is- but they don't fine chop or shave any veggies so it doesn't have the same taste as sushi and salads usually do- - I don't order my fav cucumber salad anymore because their veggies are cut so chunky and large that it doesn't taste the same when I get it at other places.... But the coffee is killer, so delicious!!!

Just passing through Dixon and ordered from Somkit. Excellent Thai food. Got the crazy noodles with Thai spice level, not white midwestern spice. It was hot and spicy with crisp veggies and tender chicken. Cooked it off with the Japanese cucumber salad which was delicately dressed and super crunchy. Great for cooling off after the spicy noodles.

Went here to celebrate a birthday recently. It's still an amazing place to go for great food (awesome sushi!). Can't wait to go back again.

Always friendly service and a great meal! Our server even saw our 3 yr old struggling with her chop sticks (that she insisted on using since I was) and got her a pair of cheater trainers...she was so excited to actually be using them to eat!

Though prices went up per cost of item, their quality remained the same and the service is the best of what it all has been.

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT! So happy they have vegan and gf options. They don’t compare to anyone! I really think their food is made with love. It’s always so so so perfect. My favorite dishes are the Hawaiian fried rice and the crazy noodles. A bite of heaven for sure. I love them forever

One of my family members ordered the beef and broccoli and it was cross contaminated with shrimp. We found pieces of shrimp tail within the dish. They are highly allergic to shrimp. The picture is just one of the pieces we found in the food itself.

Somkit is the best sushi place in the Dixon area hands down. Great vibes inside. I always love the music playing. They brought back a few spicy sushis that they temporarily took off the menu during covid. Drinks are amazing. Especially the Spanish Flu tequila cocktail. Would definitely recommend!

This was our first sit down visit, we usually order carry out. It is pretty pricey, but it's sushi so thats to be expected. Our waitress was GREAT and the food was brought out fast. It tasted amazing as always. Would recommend if you have the money for an expensive meal.

I bought the Red Curry takeout which turned out to be a $10.00 bowl of broth. I've had it before and loved it. Very disappointing. Before the name change, Touch of Thai was my goto restaurant here in Dixon. I don't know if they changed chefs also, but the change was not for the better. Service and staff are great. Food is okay, but no longer as yummy as I remember.

Somkit is a favorite restaurant of ours. Last week, I mentioned that we might be delayed in picking up our online order but not to worry about it because we had a half hour drive home and planned to just reheat the meal anyway. When my husband picked up the order he found that they had put additional layers of bags around it to further insulate. It is this kind of thoughtfulness that make Somkit a standout among our area restaurants. Amazingly, our food was still hot when we had dinner 50 minutes after it was picked up at the drive-thru.

This is one of the most mediocre overpriced restaurants at which I have ever had the displeasure of dining. Four of us went for dinner last evening and had a variety of different dishes. It was edible. The chicken tasted like it was cooked yesterday, refrigerated and reheated. The service was good despite the fact the restaurant was packed and there were no open tables. The bar was crowded as well. Pretty much, people were being turned away at the door. So, I highly recommend reservations. But why would you? Makes me wonder if anyone knows what Thai food tastes like. Panda Express at the DeKalb I88 oasis is about the same.

Somkit was amazing! I was skeptic about the sushi at first because I'm picky but I actually loved it! Oh yeah and decent prices!

Delicious Gluten Free options and the staff has some knowledge of it. I once was called before they started the order to make sure I had known I ordered something that wasn’t gluten free. That was very considerate and the staff went above and beyond with that and it was appreciated. I’ll continue to recommend this place and get the Pad Thai.

The 2nd time around was perfect in every way possible. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was prompt and attentive. The Pad Thai is phenomenal!! I highly recommend, although steer clear of the sushi. High price for low quality, TINY portions. If you want authentic Thai cuisine this is the place for you, but if you want sushi your best bet would be driving a ways to a sushi restaurant.

Food is delicious, but the price has gotten way too expensive. If you order a drink with no ice you get a half to three quarters full glass. Used to be affordable and reasonable, but now they have priced themselves out of the market, especially for the area. Waitress was completely clueless.

Me and my husband finally made it here to eat. OMG it was amazing. Hats off to the chef!! Great food amazing. Loved the decor and the atmosphere. We will definitely be back!! Worth every penny.
