I've been coming to Cida for about 20 years now and every single meal and takeout order I've ever had from them has been truly outstanding. I've had a lot of Thai food from a lot of great restaurants and this remains far and away my favorite. Their curries are simply the best; where others are often too thick and sweet, Cida's are consistently the perfect harmony of spice, acidity, and umami. Their stir fries always have this gorgeous mild smokiness that lends so much complexity to even relatively simple noodleand veggie dishes. Cap it off with incredible Thai desserts that you can't easily find anywhere else and you have a complete dining experience that will delight your from start to finish. The service has always been outstanding, making you feel like a part of the family. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the high quality of fare offered, especially considering how expensive dining out in general is these days.

I simply cannot recommend Cida Thai highly enough. Just try it already and see for yourself!

A well-deserved additional star rating for Cida Thai! We ordered on a Tuesday evening after 15 hours of exhausting flights. We had dishes of yellow curry, basil chicken, pad see ew, pad thai, and potstickers. Everything was so flavorful, perfectly seasoned, fresh, and plentiful with meat and veggies. It truly was an excellent Thai meal w/out all the frills. Our favorite place for Thai in Chicagoland hands down.

Just had lunch here, absolutely delicious! Started with the shumai and shrimp tempura, both were amazing. For my entree, I had the stir fry veggies with shrimp and it was awesome. We’ll be back!

The best Thai restaurant around! Have eaten here for 10+ years. Our go to entrees are Tom Yum salad (spicy), Green Curry with Beef and Ginger Green Beans with Chicken. Have never had a bad meal!!

Best Thai restaurant with kind people. There food is addicting I always order Gluten Free Ginger Beef add Brocoli extra beef no mushrooms. My wife always gets pad tai or beef and brocoli and enjoys it. I've never eaten at the resteraunt but it's cozy.

I am sick for the hate reviews this place gets. I'm not saying they are cheap but affordable most definitely. Your getting a premium meal each time that has love to it. They have in the past given me wrong food few times but since corrected it and pay more attention on it.

There really is no negative remarks I can give as the food is savory and I'm happy each time I eat from here. The meat is never fatty or grisly and they all work very hard.

Great food terrible service. Just found out they changed owners about a year ago when I called to complain about a missing item from my pickup order.

The service has been lacking for some time, being rude and snippy while we were ordering, saying we didn't order an appetizer when we clearly remembered doing so, scoffing at needing to make change when we paid cash. Today the person that answered the phone had the audacity to argue with me about what is clearly written on their menu on their website.

The food is amazing, but we are never going back here, the chicken satay isn't worth the aggravation.

Cida Thai used to be the go-to place for decent Thai for a good price. With the large price increases over the last few years, unfortunately we must look elsewhere.

Case in point: a large chicken rice soup used to be $4.99, now it's $10.99, which is a massive increase especially considering the soup is mostly broth and rice.

If you want good Pad Thai that won't break the bank, try Woow down the street.

No atmosphere at all definitely new owners. Crab Rangoon and shrimp tempura good but where are the tempura veggies.

Been regulars at Cida for decades, Last 2 times ordering out the food is no longer the same. Its definitely a downgrade in quality and taste. It appears to be new owners. Don't think will be going back especially considering the price as it has gotten expensive to eat there.

First time eating here, and very pleasantly surprised! I tried it because the internet said it had good gluten-free options. It definitely does! Not only do they have a gluten-free menu, but they're also willing to make some of their other dishes gluten free, whenever possible.

I was expecting sort of a hole in the wall, and while it's not the fanciest restaurant decorations, it definitely has a very nice vibe with a cool mural on the wall.

It's outside of the crowded downtown LaGrange area. That is good if you're looking for less congestion, bad of course if you are hoping to go walk around afterwards.

Original review I gave them 4 stars as we thought the food was pretty good. We thought we had found our local Thai place, however the last couple times we ordered the food was very bland which was really disappointing. So we are now on a search for a new Thai restaurant unfortunately.

Cashier great. Food great. Phone service, absolutely terrible. As someone who has worked in customer service for the past 14 years I am appalled at how the person talking phone orders thinks that they can speak(yell) at customers. Ive been coming here on and off for years. Sad how it’s now been tarnished by this experience.

There are a few Thai restaurants closer to home, but I drive twenty minutes each way for Cida Thai. The food is consistent, the staff is friendly, and it’s a cute, quiet place to dine-in by yourself or with a small group. Highly recommend the Basil Fried Rice (I get mine with BBQ pork). So smoky and flavorful!

I visited Cida Thai a day ago and although the service and food were great I could not get over the terrible way a taller woman at the register was treating one of her male employees. Not only was she speaking to him aggressively as customers were in the restaurant, she also threw a note pad at the male and then requested him to pick the note pad up off the ground as he apologized. The whole time the male that was also our server was nothing but extremely professional and polite despite the way he was being belittled and degraded in front of many to see. I refuse to eat at a restaurant where a worker is treated so poorly in front of patrons. In a professional setting an employee is not reprimanded in front of others. As I walked out I told my husband I will no longer give Cida Thai my business again.

Food was okay, not the best or worst. But very expensive, better tasting food down the street at Tipi tie. Two dishes with water and a tea costed 50$ without a tip. With tip it was 60$

I paid $27 for basil chicken and teriyaki chicken the teriyaki chicken portion it was really small it was good but really small the base of chicken it was good a little bit plain but it was fine but the lady she got mad at me she asked me if I wanted to leave the tips which I'm just ordered to go she asked me would you like to leave the tips and I said no.... taking it to go I'm picking up then she roll up roll her eyes on me and she got mad she gave me the look the thing is why you had to tip the restaurant when you are taking it to go I mean who's going to give me money to me they don't give me a discount

This place still gets 5 stars Even without their signature Cida curry. And thank you for opening up dine in again!!!

Extremely mediocre. Fried Basil Noodles didn’t come with ANY noodles and the coconut soup was reheated coconut milk from Jewel. You’re better off eating in.

It was very delicious and tasteful. The sauce that they used was not salty.. I purchased the chicken stir fry. 😋 if I'm in the area I will be back.

I love this place. I have great memories going here many years ago. I recently moved back to the area, and this was one of the first places I wanted to go when I got back. Their Thai food is excellent. I went to other places very disappointed and I always ended up comparing it against Cida Thai even after not being there for years. My favorite thing there is actually the spring rolls. They are so crispy and light. I highly recommend them! They have pretty good prices too!

Cida is always a good bet for tasty, traditional Thai food. They have an extensive menu, a clean and colorful dining room, and friendly servers and staff. Their prices are quite reasonable and most dinners take just a few minutes to prepare.

Been here a couple of times and the food is always super tasty. They don't skimp on the ingredients or try to rice load it. Even good appetizers and travels well. Thanks guys!

Cida Thai is my favorite Thai food restaurant! The food is delicious, and the price is right. My favorite dishes are the pad woonsen and basil chicken. The staff are always friendly, and the restaurant is clean and inviting.

I got the Basil Noodle with Chicken and it tasted like the smell of a Red Baron supreme pizza. My girlfriend got the Pad See Ew and it didn't taste like anything. They use ground chicken in their stir fries and that just isn't right. The egg rolls were alright but everything else, including the banana dumplings was bad. Maybe I've been spoiled by other places like Thai Twin(literally amazing). I ate half and threw it out and I never throw out food. Also, fix your website prices. It says 99 cents for banana dumplings and they charged us double that for them when we picked up our food.

My absolute favorite local Thai Restaurant. The food is delicious and the prices just make it better. Friendly staff. I would recommend this one to any Thai food lover!

Worst Pad Thai I ever had. It was very clumpy noodles were over cooked. I also ordered the basil fried rice for my spouse and it was over cooked an tofu pieces were burnt. I asked for egg rolls and they gave me spring rolls. Why have both on the menu like we don’t the difference.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 18 years, and let me tell you it is one of my favourite restaurants known to man. The food is delicious, the service is nice, and if you go here long enough you'll even come to have a first name basis with the owner. I plan on coming back for the next 18 years and more.

This is a small cozy restaurant my wife and I have been eating at for about 10 years. This (along with Bree Thai) are THE Thai restaurants we keep coming back to. The food is superb across the board- we've literally eaten almost everything on their menu and it is all (and I mean ALL) top notch. Cida curry chicken and the shrimp with glass noodles are especiallly recommended.

I love this place. Prices and food are great. The staff is so friendly and the food is always so fresh. My go to dish is the Cashew Chicken. I love that they do not overcook their vegetables, because you can actually taste them. Those that have said the proportions are too small may need to revisit their consumption habits. I highly recommend this place for a casual sit down stay or takeout for a night in!
