This was a happy circumstance. Our regular Thai place was closed, so we came here. I had eth Rama, the veggies were fresh, and the peanut sauce was not overpowering; it was a bit thick in consistency but had a good taste; I had mine with chicken.

The treat was the curry puffs; I have had these at another restaurant named Hong Min that used to be located in Chinatown. These are similar, but they do not have chicken, and the size is more smaller.
But they had that similar curry taste, and it beats having to go all the way to 127th to Hing Min.

We really liked the food; the peanut sauce was so enjoyable that I could see us returning just for that dish.

Service was quick, and the place was super tiny; we noticed a downstairs area, but it was closed. I saw many orders going out for pick up and delivery, and it is close to a college so I fugure everybody orders.

I do recommend it.

Food is always good here. Had the chicken pad Thai, crispy pad see ewe and panang chicken curry dish. All were very good. Just a little disappointed with the portion size for the price. No leftovers

This has to be a no-nonsense, all taste Thai place. A hit with UIC students, it offers a wide variety of authentic Thai dishes with medium to spicy options. Plenty of options that can be customized to cater to vegetarian. Special shout-out to the Indian curry fried rice!

I got the drunken noodles and my friend got the ginger chicken, both really delicious! I just wish the portion (at least the drunken noodles) was bigger 🥲 Would love to be back though!

I love this food BUT don't make the mistake of commenting if any dish is a bit off tasting. I told the server the panang was a bit salty and asked for a 4th glass of water and a little more rice and out comes the head cook and 1 other cook to give me a piece of their minds. I was so saddened that this could be a possibility for anyone to comment on a dish.

This place is great! We just found it but have been getting takeout more frequently. The green curry , fish curry, fried rice, pad kee mao and crispy spring rolls are so good. We want to keep trying more items

I’ve been coming here on and off for a few years since I went to the university nearby. The food has always been consistent with the flavor. Everything I’ve tried tasted well flavored with the perfect amount of spicy to it. The latest item I tried was the glas noodle salad with ground chicken and shrimp, fish cake, and pad see eew! Their prices are also reasonable compared to other Thai restaurants in the area. Highly recommended!

Used to come to this place almost daily. Today, I placed a phone order for pick up and the woman who answered the phone insisted on changing my order. I said basil fried rice she said basil and chicken. I tried to correct her but there seemed to be a language barrier. When I called to inform them about the error she was so rude and even yelled at me. No accountability at all. The customer service is beyond horrible. What a shame.

I used to go here years ago, then they switched ownership. Now, the food is back great again!!

The food is very good. I loved everything I tried. The thing that took me by surprise is the portions and prices. For the price the amount of food and meat they give is pretty small. A dinner for 2 was about $100 without tip. If the portions matched the prices it would be more fair.

I've been a fan and cusomter of this place for 11 years. I've always ordered the exact same thing for the entire 11 years and it was quality food every single time.
I orderedmy good for the last time as I'm moving to Florida and will no longer have the privilege to order from my good Thai family.

Golden Thai is perfect. You won’t find Crispy Pad See Ew on other Thai menus, it has great flavor and texture combinations. Pad Ped and curry is also great. Make sure you dine-in to get the proper taste experience!

We placed a group order here for a meeting. The staff was very friendly, the order was correct, and was delivered ahead of schedule. They labeled everything too which, was extra nice. 10/10 would recommend.

Had some spoiled bits of eggplant in the pad ped pla dook (spicy catfish). They probably have to do a better job of quality controlling the ingredients.

I unfortunately have to give 1 stars because my chicken was not cooked. I like the food here, but I saw another review saying their meat was not cooked so I had to make sure this time. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have noticed under all the sauce, but I'm pregnant and raw meat is dangerous.

This has been our favorite location for location for Thai delivery in Lincoln Park.

The Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai is always fresh, flavorful and a large portion...enough for lunch the next day. The Peanut Sauce is one of our favorites. Spring Rolls are also great. If you are afraid of spice or want to melt your head off...just let them know, thay are happy to accommodate your spice level.

I am admitted at Rush and ordered few things. They came and left without leaving the food. I was told they called my number many times but there was not a single call from the delivery person. I am still getting charged for the full amount!

The best Thai in all of Chicago. This is my regular takeout spot; perfect for a cozy night in. Neither I nor my partner have had a dish from here that we didn’t love! Keep doing what you’re doing, Golden Thai, you’re the greatest.

Ordered for the first time and the last. Working just 8 blocks away I put in a simple order rice and egg roll tip tax 27 bucks I get a email will take a hour then in a hour I get another email it will be 20 min more. I call the lady was rude said she had I specter there if I don't want it she will canceled my order. I told her I need my food. It came 30 min later egg rolls were cold.Never again

I absolutely love their chicken, Pad Thai!! I eat there so much they kinda know me. You have to experience them for yourself. Dine-in experience was nice. But I usually go on my lunch.

A hidden treasure in the heart of Pilsen. Truly the definition of underrated hole-in-the-wall kind of place. I wasn’t expecting much, but the service here was only matched by the flavor. Absolutely wonderful staff, very delicious food. Will absolutely be coming here again and recommending this to my friends next time we’re craving pad Thai!

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. I’ve tried an extensive portion of their menu and can attest that all of their items are as tasty as the next. Their Tom Yum soup is some of the best in the city, their basil fried rice and chili fried rice are personal favorites, and the panang curry is next level. Aside from the food, the staff is great. They’re so sweet and welcoming even when they’re swamped. Highly recommend.

Staff is friendly. The food, not so great. I truly don’t write bad reviews unless I really feel ripped off. We ordered take out, the curry was watery, the rice was literally mush. That’s on top of the little food they give you while charging full price. Avoid this place if you don’t like wasting money.

This place used to be great. It’s now just ok but better than most anyplace else around here. Tom Kar and Tom Yum soups are good as long as the chicken is good. It can be unpredictable.

This is my favorite Thai food place. The service is fast and friendly and the food is very good. This place is always consistently good. Soups and pad Thai are my favorite. I love how they serve hot jasmine tea in clear glass mugs. Traditional Thai decorations on the wall add to the overall Thai restaurant appeal. Also, the bathrooms are mice and clean.

Really like this place! I got wonton soup, Singapore noodle and coconut custard. The soup was okay and was a good pair with the noodle. The noodle is so well spiced and I just couldn’t stop eating! The coconut custard is right at the pleasant level of sweetness. Will definitely visit again!

Best Thai place in medical district area. The indian curry fried rice is amazing but really you can pick anything on their menu and you will be satisfied. We would almost eat here every week when we lived on taylor st.
