Casual, late-night BYOB spot serving a menu of Thai faves & sushi with many vegetarian options.
I need to give them their rightful credit! I only order sushi from this place to deliver so I never dine In or order anything else! I order from them several times so my judgment is not from a single time experience! Their sushi is fresh , yummy and never had problems with their rice like other customers mentioned! They organize it and place it carefully in the delivery bag ! One day they forget the chopsticks! But I am not going to hold a grudge because of that !
Ordered the crazy spicy udon. First it wasn't crazy spicy. It was good though. I just added Sriracha they gave me to put some spice into it. It was an overall well prepared dish. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. You doing a bell and they come out. I would definitely recommend this spot and will be back.
At first I wasn't sure about Diva. It was a little hot inside, my cup was chipped, and the server (who was very nice) didn't seem to have a complete understanding of the menu and she didn't refill our waters at any point (but she could have been new). They played bad pop remixes and a LOT of Tyga. The bathroom was kind of gross. But! The food was super super good. Prices were very reasonable and they were willing to veganize almost anything. My table got nutty chicken subbed tofu (very good potion), black fungus stir fry with tofu, orange chicken subbed tofu (portion kind of small), kampyo squash sushi, avocado sushi, and yam tempura sushi. Everything was absolutely delicious! The cherry on top is that they're open late. I will return to this restaurant next time I'm in town.
We ordered a late dinner on a Sunday evening and Uber eats delivered it within 30 minutes. First of all, the Sushi comes in a small tin foil tray and since it was sitting next to the rest of the warm food in the order, all of the sushi was very warm. There is nothing worse than warm spicy salmon rolls and on top of that, they didn’t taste good. The red curry has to be the worst Thai curry I’ve had anywhere in the United States. We ordered two red curry entrees and asked for one of them to be a spice level of Hot and the other Medium spice. Both of them had absolutely zero spice and they didn’t have any flavor to them either. I literally thought I may have Covid and lost my sense of taste, so I took a Covid test to make sure and it was negative. I will never order anything from this restaurant again. I have no clue why this restaurant has an average 4 star rating out of 500+ reviews, that’s the only reason we ordered from here. I can normally trust google reviews but something isn’t right here.
Their pricing is perfectly fine if the food was good, but it was really bad.

Food is great and the staff are always so friendly
Good food and very friendly employees!
Nothing is good staff, environment, food messy dining.
Really yummy wings for apps. Get the diva rainbow roll!!
Delicious food, quick friendly service, fun 2010s music, wide menu selection
Had some amazingly authentic and spicy pad kra pow at midnight here. Downside is no fried egg. Don’t know about the sushi, staff is however, authentically Thai.
Diva down!!
Service is no good
Waitresses are not polite
Went there. Food wasn't ready on the scheduled time. They said it would be 10 minutes. Then another 10 minutes went by and they said it would be another 10 minutes. I then asked them to cancel my order and it took them another 10 minutes just to do that. I sat there for my whole lunch break and got nothing.
Great place to go most times of day. They're open late and they are Above Average in all categories. Looks like a Wong Kar Wai film. 👍 🎥
Great food but overpriced. I would still come back though!

Awesome little sushi place on North Halsted. It's BYOB, so that's pretty dope. The food is great. They have a great variety and selection of different and unique rolls. One thing I can't get past is the smell, I swear to God it smells like raw sweage as soon as you walk in the door. Other than that, it's a fun little place for a quick late night bite.
Very rude waitress I have ever met
Rude and disrespectful
They play alot of the 2000's music, which is fine with me. Lol it's a small spot but the sushi is good, I don't think it's that expensive. For they're special rolls they're from 15-18$ & just the basic sushi they're from 6-9$ Me & my boyfriend tried they're calamari and it was decent also we wasted like 40$ for both of us. We thought it was a good deal and we got full. They're special sushi are very fillable. The only thing about the location is looking for parking.
Everything we ordered was real good ! Highly recommend !
Red curry was super delicious!! And they're open until 2am which is fantastic for weekend nights!
When you want to have bad food and bad services, this is the place to go. The sushi was SO BAD QUALITY. You could have gotten better at a gas station or grocery store. This place used to have quality products, not anymore. Waitress, didn't explain well that if you are sitting at a table with someone, if one of you orders all you can eat, you are paying for 2 all you can eat. It's a devilish tactic, to say the least. Mandatory 18 percent gratuity on top of that. Obviously, it's the only way they can get tips because the food is so bad. Oh if you want green tea, apparently, you wouldn't want any sugar, and l don't know what year my tea was made, but white people don't get fresh tea that's for sure OR the quality of tea they get is just that bad. Somethings really changed because it's THE WORST. If you want better food, go down the street to 7/11, get a big gulp and hot dog.
You better pay attention when doing all you can eat. The price reflects paying in cash AND 2 people dining. However, if one of you doesn't want the, all you can eat, you better sit at 2 different tables, OR STUPIDLY, YOU'LL STILL BE CHARGED FOR AN ALL YOU CAN EAT, THAT YOU DIDN'T WANT. This means you and your party cannot sit together at the same table. You can sit 10 inches away at the next table, that's OK. The evening l was there, there was only 1 other couple, but that waitress just had to get her mandatory 18% gratuity. Quality of food was shameful. Don't even bother with the sushi. It was worse than gas station quality. If you want a better meal, go down the street to 7/11 and get a hot dog and big gulp. You'll never have to worry about cheating me out of $21 again. I would rather starve.
🥰 loved place
Sushi was solid, rice was a little hard.
Thought this place was really good! Stopped around 12:15 am after going to a few bars for late night food. We got the Tom kha soup, miso soup, orange chicken, rangoons, and wings. Everything was so good and flavorful, was pleasantly surprised based on the back and forth reviews. Ordered take out and didn’t take too long and service was nice. Total came out to $53 with tip which may be on the pricier side for a quick meal but did get 5 items and have leftovers.
Ordered Take out, their system allowed me to order and pay. Arrived to the restaurant and it was closed before their posted hours.
I’m more sensitive with quality of sushi since I am from East Asia and Im used to have fresh seafood. This is very low quality sushi. Salmon was ok but other than salmon, it was really bad quality especially tuna and eel. They were too fishy to eat. I ordered 3 times here because somehow I crave sushi middle of the night. But every time I did, I got disappointed. I ordered Pad Thai also and it wasn’t that good neither.
Had the Garlic rice with chicken. Rice was dry with little garlic flavor. Other meal was pineapple rice with chicken. Same issue, dry and little flavor.
Our favorite for veggie/vegan options
Okay well I haven’t been to the actual restaurant in probably 5 years, we just do a take-out. I’ve read the reviews, but I personally really enjoy their food. I’m not a food expert nor knowledgeable enough to talk details but yeah the deep fried roll is worth the extra 30 mins on a treadmill. Spring rolls yum. Other sushi rolls also good, a lot of options to choose from. Try it out, they are not expensive.
I always receive a warm welcome from the staff here. The Ramen options are so flavorful and nostalgic to me. I can get full for less than $10!!! Try and bring cash as there is a minimum for card payments. Sushi here is great too.
My first time eating Thai. It was very tasty. Well prepared and quick service. Small intimate space. I would go back again.
I've actually had their food quite a few times, and after some consideration, I've come to a conclusion..That their wonton soup, tasted a little bit like water with just a couple of noodles in it. I haven’t dine in but when it comes to carry out food, I’ll have to go somewhere else.
Hours are incorrect. They close for dine-in at an arbitrary time. Recommend calling in advance.
The crispy pad Thai was actually an amazing late night meal - the food here overall was really great!

Love the food. It is the only place where you can get Sushi at midnight.
The best price and quality for AYCE sushi, late night place!
I was there last night with my friend and her lovely family. It was at around 10 pm that they will server AYCE sushi, and I was not that hungry. Anyway, I ended ordering 4 rolls of sushi, a house salad, and a cup of hot green tea.
The size of the rolls, the taste and freshness of their fish was great!
But next time, I will order plain crunchy rolls as the size are smaller than special rolls and that gives me more room to try the filling of fresh fish and great sauce on top.
Their special rolls which are coming in large portion of rice and filling could make me full too much easily.
It’s just my personal preference. I prefer small varieties.
The atmosphere was great. We were there when it was not a busy time and not so many clients there.
Workers are super nice and friendly.
I will go back!
At first I wasn't sure about Diva. Standard spot for Thai food.
The shrimp egg rolls never disappoint. Always fresh and crispy with the sauce they are so good. Tried sushi the rice was over cooked. The orange chicken is pretty good. The service is horrible they have you sitting and waiting and waiting before they come to the table. They walk past you even if they see you are trying to get their attention. They never come back to the table after they serve you even when it’s no one else dining in. I love that is BYOB but the service is not there and I won’t dine in ever again.
The food is just fine, nothing special. The space certainly needs a facelift.
Worst online order service, Don’t order online
Every time we order from here, the amount of spiciness is borderline inedible. My husband usually eats spicy Thai food (but orders a 2 here) and I always order the lowest at a 1, and a few times now both of us are completely unable to finish either dish. It’s frustrating because we’ve had good dishes a few times, but the majority of the time our orders are completely over spiced. Please correct this!!! It’s great food otherwise and I’m not sure what we can do beyond ordering at a 1.
The Shinkansen sushi roll was good. The rest of the sushi I ordered was either super bland or dry, or both.
I've been here twice so far: Once for all you can eat sushi (yum!) and once for the menu. I got the Pad Se Ew and it was amazing.
The best sushi!! Lovely staff! The Diva La La is amazing!
Best sushi rolls in Halstead area.
Teriyaki salmon was amazing one of the best I have ever tired I would say. For vegan people they have vegan sushi and staff is good.
There is one glas waiter in this store. She is too terrible rude. I have never seen this type of the waiter. I never recommend to go this sushi bar.
Cheap price.
good service late night BYOB
love the fat noodles
The guy front desk and manger is so rude ,when we order more food, they lock washroom doors for customers, There was a very foul smell and there is no manners to talk. Very bad hospitality.
I have been in bed for 2 days now after ordering from Diva. I had shrimp. I now have the worst case of food poisoning. I would not wish this on anyone.
I order from this place for a couple of years now, but it had been a while since last time I ordered. Today my partner and I did and I have to say that I was surprised about how small the portions have become. The food tastes great and we enjoyed it, but couldn’t help but feel resentful that we not only had to pay extra for beef for the Rama entree, but barely even got enough beef. My partner opened the food a few minutes before I got home and told me that half the takeout container was empty by the time he opened it. His orange chicken was a bit more generous, but we can’t help but feel cheated by what we got. Very disappointed and will be considering other Thai places next time we think about ordering Thai food.
Tasty food. Great service
I actually had the Pad Thai w/ 🐔 and 🍤; it was tasty , I should've tried the variety of sushi ,I think I will on my next visit, my apologies for not taking pictures of that said meal
The noodles are so so good at this place!! And the staff is always really nice!
The entrance says they accept American Express but they neglected my Amex.
Should really be ashamed of themselves for serving this over slimy clumped up mess..almost $40 worth of food wasted. It’s been sitting for HOURS and you can tell. I hate food waste I was only able to receive a partial reimbursement too. Go to gorilla sushi might be sub par but at least the quality and freshness of the food isn’t questionable. Sick
I had dinner at this thai and sushie place last night and it was an "ok" experience. The food was decent, but I thought it was a bit overpriced. I ordered the Pad Thai, and while it had a good flavor, the portion size was smaller than what I'm used to. The sushi roll I had was pretty standard and nothing to write home about.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant enough, but the service could have been better. Our server seemed a bit uninterested and didn't check in on us often. I also noticed a few typos on the menu, which isn't a huge deal, but it made me question the attention to detail of the restaurant.
Overall, while the food was decent, I don't think it was worth the price
I had the orange chicken and California sushi roll. The sushi was awfully bland, the orange chicken was passable as ok. there was constant music which was annoying after a while. The service was okay but I wish I looked up the reviews before coming.
California roll was poorly made and bland.
Brown rice was uncooked and chicken is more breading than actual chicken.
If you want to see a business that treats people rudely and disrespectfully, go.
I have traveled to nearly 50 countries. and I've been to hundreds of restaurants in many parts of America. He has been so rude, so rude, so disrespectful to his work and customers in my life. I had never seen any businesses and staff this rude. I went into the shop to take my order. I asked for the order and they didn't answer. I ask if they heard what I said. He said he didnt hear me. And then very rudely asked me to go out and wait. This was so rude and dehumanizing. For God's sake, would you dine at such a disgraceful establishment allowing yourself to be disrespected? Or will you order? Creatures with strange behavior who make fun of people waiting for orders and who are obviously not human work here. Shame on him.
They have really good thai food. For me, it is the best Thai in Lakeview. The thai fried rice with beef was amazing and drunk noodles was good too.
Food is good particularly the sushi, but I received my delivery order of fried dumplings in a Styrofoam clamshell container and the hot oil was melting the sides and top of container. I'm pretty sure this has happened to me from them more than once.
I don’t understand all the negative reviews, because everything I had was so tasty. I order Thai food a lot, at least once a week if not more so I know my Thai food. This was the first time I ordered from this restaurant and ordered through Uber eats. My food arrived within an hour of ordering and arrived hot. I ordered shumai (steamed and fried), fried shrimp roll, tom yum soup and rainbow noodle and every item was so good and the sauces accompanying the apps were great too. The portions were a decent size. Everything was the right amount of spicy. I’d order from here again.
Awesome food and Thai tea.
The wonton soup was decent. And the Crazy Spicy Udon noodles were good. Real jalapeños and basil. Would go back.
Food poisoning…
Opens late , Whoopi however the food is horrible. Had calamari and it tasted & looked like onion rings. Food tasted like cheap truck food. Rice tasted like an Indian cuisine with too much seasoning . Customer service was very nice but the fooood, I’m not going to recommend.
The Spring rolls are to die for!! The orange chicken is pretty good! The service is not so good. The food came out pretty quickly and it is BYOB…only wine and sake.
Very rude staff 😡 totally unsatisfied
Sushi with Gummy Rice
Although the sushi looked just OK, the rice that was utilized was not uruchimai as it is traditionally used. The rice was among the very worst I've ever had. It was sticky, chewy, and overdone all at the same time. As a result, the only option I had was to eat the protein. Because of this, the sushi had to be transformed into sashimi. If you are looking to eat sushi, the local supermarket has better quality than this place.
Love this place! Always super kind and friendly staff. I usually get the pineapple fried rice
Great services
Do not go to this place. To start, they only have QR code Menus with limited and no cell service in the restaurant and they refuse to give you WiFi service even though they have it. They lied and said they don’t have even though the network clearly shows the Diva wifi. The staff is mean and rude and the food is terrible. Do not order crispy chicken pad Thai noodle. It is not noodles. It is fried wonton. The server never explained and she was mean and nasty.
Amazing service and great sushi!
got THE WORST food poisoning i’ve ever had. throwing up all day after eating it last night. bad quality wouldn’t want my worst enemy to endure this
I would give 0/5 stars if I could. Two out of our three parties waited over an hour to get food (when other people who came in after us got their food before us) and trying to just get a refund was dealing with the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’ve worked in the industry, I understand busy nights and being short staffed, but there was no communication when confronted, only excuses. It took 20 more minutes to get someone on the phone who could approve a refund and only one of our parties got refunded. The other “got their food” after waiting 80 minutes and since she took the food the refund “wouldn’t be processed” despite the fact that it was still extremely over delayed and poorly communicated (when we checked in every 10 minutes after our first party got their order as we were instructed to). The condescending attitude was unwarranted and unappreciated. We are all shocked at the lack of respect here and will absolutely never give this another chance. Again, we understand being busy and short staffed, and if all the people coming in after us had also continued to wait that would be different, but it was just us and the attitude on top of it all was wholly unnecessary.
The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the food was PHENOMENAL! 💖
Open late and convenient location for late night Thai (boystown)
My fav late night sushi 🍣
Good food and prices reasonably
This place used to be a go to spot for me in the neighborhood. Tonight I no longer feel this way. Maybe the server was having a bad day but there are other Thai places in Chicago to chose from.
Bad restaurant, the first time my friend invited me and she thought the tip was already included in the receipt, and when we left the server made us stop to ask why we didn't tip, and the second time I ordered to go, and when I arrived at the place I wanted to eat in the restaurant and ask for more, the lady told us that we could not eat in the restaurant and threw us out
Theee best!!! Just simply amazing and love the smile..
This business has the SALTIEST sauce for their Veggie Pad Thai. I poured the sauce on my meal and had to get half a cup of water to drown some of the sauce off and discard of it. This food spot is definitely trying to give me HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE! The veggie rolls were DELICIOUS and that’s why they get 2-stars. Please get rid of all the salt. Please! 🤮
Best Thai place around. Pad Thai is amazing with chicken or steak. Fried rice is bomb. Sushi is good too. SUPER quick always. Egg rolls or dumplings are always great apps.
Food took 2 hours to prepare, then I got food poisoning. Ordered California roll and pad see ew. Sushi was fine didn’t make me sick. Next day I ate the pad see ew and now I have the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had. Food tasted good though 😕
The food tasted pretty good and that’s why I stuck with two stars instead of one.
Their menu doesn’t mention any fish or oyster sauce in the pad Thai. I ordered it, realized that it was in there, and asked for a version without those sauces. They charged me for two meals and wouldn’t take it off! They justified it by saying “the food was already made.” Hopefully no one with a food allergy orders this because they don’t mention it at all on the menu.
On top of that, they charge extra for the vegan option, even though their menu also makes no mention of it.
Great place for late night sushi. Can't say it's the best sushi I ever had. Although, it is the best 1am sushi I ever had. Frequent here often for late night sushi cravings.
Good for late night sushi
The best night spot in boystown
Service not so good
95% rice + a very greedy portion of everything else. I will keep 100 miles away from this place. Such a waste of money….. :(
Boyfriend Went in for a take out order and they told us 20 minutes. When he came back in they told him they gave the order to his “friend” when he was the only one who went in. They gave our order to someone else and didnt even give us half the order we paid for. Left there hungry. They need more organized customer service skills. How can you hand give someone else’s order and assume it was their friend who came to pick it up?
Great food and service. Such a friendly atmosphere even at 12am.
Consistent sushi at good prices.
I got the Groupon for my bday and they give you restrictions but my server let us pick anything on the menu! Sushi is great and the pad see ew is always a favorite! What’s sushi without food miso soup?
I order take out, Fry rice was really good but then I order 3 sushi rolls and the basic of a good sushi is the rice.... well this place has no clue on how to make rice for sushi, is over cooked, mushy and gooey. It leaves you a bad taste on your mouth right after. Never ordering from here again what a disgrace for a sushi place.
Get yourself educated how to treat others with respect….Avoid this place they don’t care if food getting late for customer or wasting driver time by lying by saying one time and changing or adding more and more time.
Open late. Yummy and inexpensive
Pathetic behavior of people working there once there business get little busy they catch attitude a nasty one
Love sushi here
I always love coming here. Friendly staff, great food, BYOB, and open late.
Got the Halsted roll and it tasted like refrigerated gas station sushi. The rice was so thick and just kind of disintegrated in my mouth. The squid on top was just too tough. For $14? Not good. Only thing good in the order was the crispy pad Thai.
This place is reliably delicious with great service and late hours (which is great for nightlife).
Would definitely recommend if you're in the area to experience it.
Had dinner with a friend and the sushi was a little too chewy. The pot stickers were really good but for the price of everything I probably wouldn't go back.
Your late night stop after bar hopping or any late night cravings... it's always a struggle finding a good food place after 10pm. Thank goodness for this place... otherwise, we'd all be stuck with unhealthy fast-food options
