Al Pastor Fried Rice was delicious very flavorful and did not need any sauce it was packed with flavor. The Al Pastor tacos were delicious as well. The only downside was it was pretty cold in the establishment most people were eating with their coats on but the food was delicious!!
Best combination of asian and mexican we loved the asada tacos 5/5, al pastor 4/5, singapore noodle combination 5/5, small combination fried rice 5/5, egg rolls fresh.
All ingredients were fresh, meat taste was quality especally the shrimp in the dishes clean taste. Great customer service kind people tip your servers! I will be spreading the word!
Ps:
I forgot my card and she ran after us outside to make sure it was returned 🤌
The Al Pastor is a definite must get!! They've mastered the adobo marinade that goes on the pork truly just wonderful and delicious . The service was great our server was very attentive and friendly. The rest of my order was delicious but I really came here for the Al Pastor which like I said before it's worth it and if you're on a budget I recommend coming in on Mondays when the Al Pastor taco is only 1.50 👌
Came for the 1.50 al pastor taco Monday and was not disappointed. These tacos were so delicious and packed with toppings. The number of salsas they had were impressive with my favorite being the dark red one. The pickled cauliflower side dish was strangely addictive to me and I couldn't stop snacking on them. Service was extremely friendly and attentive.
I don’t think I’ve ever been to a restaurant that has a full Chinese American menu, and also a smaller taco menu printed on paper and stuck under plastic laminate on the table. Very interesting. Food was what you would expect for a cheap casual place, but not bad. The pastor tacos were really tasty and perfectly seasoned, especially when paired with the salsas. The Chinese was cheap take out quality, but not terrible either. Crab rangoons were freshly made and satisfying lol.
Inner decor was all over the place, with what looked like random items for sale (ie Victoria Secret body lotions, some Japanese manga action figures, candy, etc.).
Chairs were all on wheels, which was hilarious.
All in all, a solid place to go if you’re in the mood for cheap satisfying eats, with fast, attentive, and friendly service.
Al Pastor Fried Rice was delicious very flavorful and did not need any sauce it was packed with flavor. The Al Pastor tacos were delicious as well. The only downside was it was pretty cold in the establishment most people were eating with their coats on but the food was delicious!!
Over price a large water was almost 7 dollars. The place is full with smoke from the kitchen. Will not be returning
Best Al Pastor in the City.
The only thing that is good about that place are the tacos, the Asian food they sell does not and the price is very high, you have to wait more than 30 minutes for them to give you a table and 45 minutes to serve you what you asked to eat, then there is a lot of smoke with the smell of grease and that is discomfort because you start coughing a lot and stinky salts from the smoke.
Small little place but so cute. Food is amazing along with the friendly staff. Their alpastor tacos and fried rice top noch.
Tacos are some of the best I've ever had. Do not skip this place
Most authentic al pastor tacos you will find in Chicago. Cooked in “el trompo”, definitely coming back!
I just called no answer 845pm
This is gas
3 and 4 dollars for mini tacos with 1 tortilla is a rip-off. Tacos were tasty, but seeing the tacos priced 1.5 and then charged 3 even with the increased price sign with Sharpie on the front of the menu. No thanks. Asian food is not good either. Pad thai was terrible over cooked noodles and no real flavor.. Pastor tacos are really, really good, but it's a slap to your wallet for 3 dollars with the size they are.
Literally the best Al Pastor in all of Chicago.
Great tacos al pastor!
Food is really good 👍
Gracias.
Real tacos Al pastor, muy ricos y bien preparados
I shop El Pollo Real across the street at least once a month (highly recommend it). I had read about the al pastor tacos at this place, so I ran over and ordered me three al pastor tacos during our monthly stop at Pollo Real. I was disappointed, no match for Atotonilco's on 26th Street al pastor tacos. Matter of fact, Atotonilco's al pastor tacos are better even than any al pastor tacos I've had in my little hometown in Mexico.
Muy bueno todo los platillos
Best combination of asian and mexican we loved the asada tacos 5/5, al pastor 4/5, singapore noodle combination 5/5, small combination fried rice 5/5, egg rolls fresh.

Visited recently after a terrible visit several years ago and guess what? They're still acting like this is some Mexican house party where they just chat with customers (their friends) and not take orders. What a joke!
Excelente lugar, la carne al pastor deliciosa!!
Excellent tacos al pastor 👌🏽
Ordered shrimp fried rice & beef & broccoli. Rice had no flavor and 6 shrimp that had shells. Beef & broccoli was sweet. Not a good spot for Chinese food.
Upon picking up the order i noticed no one was eating Chinese food. Everyone was eating Mexican food. Place was packed. Maybe next time ill try tacos instead of Chinese food.
Try Mexican food instead.
Very-
Very-good “Mexican” Al Pastor Tacos,
yet I can not offer any insights into their Pan- ASIAN side of the menu.(although, there seem to be a lot of take-away business for the Pan-Asian carryout.)
Chinese, Thai & Japanese Food offerings
all add up to a “Pan-Asian” categorization )
Oddly- they open for “Lunch” @3:00p.
Must be- they have other commitments before then?!
If you go on Mondays, they have Al Pastor tacos -Al-Trompo- for $1.00; after 3pm!
🙄
(insiders note: if your Pastor tacos
are made on a flat top griddle
they are NOT “Al Pastor”-
which MUST be made
on a rotating gyros type rotisserie
in the style of Lebanese Shawarma!!)
The variety of Salsa’s that they offer for the tacos are unbelievable.
All (during The time I visited) in
hygienic Squirt Bottles.
They have a loyal following in the area as well as “Gringos”- like me that travel from
other neighborhoods of Chicago, for this places’
Al Trompo-
Al Pastor Taquitos
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Delicious al pastor tacos. Definitely a hidden gem
Some of the best tacos Al pastor in Chicago.
I had low expectations going in, but somehow not low enough. The employee (manager, owner?) sitting at the table next to us had an open package of crab sitting atop of piles of paperwork. So I guess it's my fault for not walking out after seeing that. The food was so awful, it's not even worth getting into. Avoid at all costs.
The Al Pastor is a definite must get!! They've mastered the adobo marinade that goes on the pork truly just wonderful and delicious . The service was great our server was very attentive and friendly. The rest of my order was delicious but I really came here for the Al Pastor which like I said before it's worth it and if you're on a budget I recommend coming in on Mondays when the Al Pastor taco is only 1.50 👌
The service was great. The young lady did an amazing job serving us.
The food was bland, and it gave me chorro about an hour after I ate there. Never going back there again.
We ordered Mongolian Beef, Fried Rice Combination, Egg Drop Soup, Al pastor tacos, flavored water. The Asian food was ok, it needed flavor but the tacos were very good. Will definitely come back just for the tacos. The atmosphere of the restaurant needed some cleaning, it looked outdated filled with random stuff which it can be uninviting. The price of the food was expensive, we spent $93 with tip, just for 3 people.
This place since they opened has been my favorite when it comes to asian food!
since then they have added tacos Al pastor and possibly some of the best tacos Al pastor in the city ! I
It doesn’t get any better great food great people
The place/location is not everyones cup of tea if you’re picky order to go or pick up
Chinese food was mid
6.5/10 rice
If you order the rice get it spicy with extra shrimp will definitely add more flavor and will be decent. I think it would be way better with my recommendation the shrimp in the rice was really good. I liked it.
Orange chicken was 6.3/10
Not spicy enough but wasn’t bad. I’ve had much worse at other spots. Taste like any generic orange chicken from any spot
Tacos de asada are a pass for my personal taste but try and see for yourself.
Tacos de camarón 6.6/10 they should use the ones they make there shrimp fried rice with way better taco if they did.
Tacos de pescado 6.4/10
Sauces are solid also the bright orange sauce it’s the spicy one and green is second and the dark red is mild. They complement the tacos de Al pastor.
Now let’s get to the star of the night.
This tacos taste like a Mexican Al pastor from Mexico City or GDL. Closing thing I’ve had to taste like a regular solid taco from CDMX de trompo de Al pastor. The profile taste reminds you of that kind of taco a solid 8.1/10 just for the simple reason they taste like regular taco any spot you might walk into to get a solid taco in CDMX/GDL de trompo. If you had it will remind you of it. If you haven’t try tacos in Mexico don’t give your opinion and bash this spot you have nothing to compare too. Respect the hustle of this place there doing Al pastor right compared to many Chicago spots.
I will definitely be coming back and place is small.
9 tacos , Orange chicken and fried rice all came out to around $62/$63.

Chairs were all on wheels, which was hilarious.
All in all, a solid place to go if you’re in the mood for cheap satisfying eats, with fast, attentive, and friendly service.
This place is the type of place you go for cheap tacos and cheap Asian food, the atmosphere is not that special, the chairs (they have wheels so be careful!) and tables covered by plastic make it a weird experience. Also the taco menu is a paper sheet under the plastic cover, I was all confused looking for the menu.
When I arrived I saw a sign in Spanish saying “if you’re eating here just go inside and grab a table” so I did that and as soon as I sat the waitress told me the table was reserved even though there was no reserve sign or anything. So we moved to the other table and the party (6) supposedly that was coming for that table never came.
After that I was expecting the service not to be good but they definitely improved, they were fast and quick to take our order.
We ordered the classic pastor tacos and asada, and also some lo mein. Honestly the tacos match the price, they’re $2.50 each and on Monday $1 each. Nothing to rave about but they’re tasty.
Overall the experience is basic but good, the food is basic but good too, don’t come with high expectations.
This alpastor tacos wooowww amazing 💯 recommended specialty if you like old style .
Great Pastor tacos, asian cuisine was tasty,..
The food was bad. We tried the asada tacos and the meat was reheated dry and very greasy. The pastor wasn’t bad but the tacos we’re small for $3 ea. Atotonilco has better flavor and well portion tacos. The Chinese food was ok.
Best AL PASTOR tacos in Chicago! 🔥
Los mejores tacos al pastor deliciosos 🤤100% recomendados
Best Al pastor I’ve ever had. Salsas are great too.
Was recommended this restaurant by my friend who used to work there, love the tacos, love the ramen, the fried rice is very well prepared, workers are nice and friendly, if they are busy they still try their best to get the food out on time, will be coming back
Their Chinese food was real bogus. I would never buy Chinese food from this place again.
I mean it was under cook. Everything I order was like I was eating raw food.
No taste what’s so ever. I would have taken it back but I live further north from there.
The only reason I stop there was to try there Tacos de
A pastor. Now I’ll give them 4 stars for them. They where good I definitely enjoy them. I ate at all you can eat at. Chinese buffet and their food was 10 times better.
Don’t waste your money on their Chinese food.
We ordered 1/2lb of Al Pastor, one lengua taco, one asada taco, and one camarones taco. It was all delicious! The shrimp wasn’t overcooked and the spicy mayo added a nice creamy texture. The lengua and asada were juicy and not super salty. The al pastor might have been my fourth pick and still very good! The 1/2lb is great for six tacos if you want to order to share.
The table salsas were each unique. The green was so crisp and fresh while the dark red brought in the depth of chipotle. The orange might be habanero and it was spicy-sweet.
High quality asian cuisine in chicago.
Don't listen to people, they are haters, I drive 20 miles to eat there. It's delicious 😋
Food is really good 👍 just the place looks messy and dusty
Food here not so good, on my personal opinion
The atmosphere is in a hispanic community so it has a mexican restaurant that just also so happens to sell asian food. The merch one can buy is overwhelming in the front with half of the tables dedicated to surplus of gift shop items in boxes and plastic wraps. The wall art screams asian culture but the open kitchen gives you the impression of a gyro spot you’d find in NYC.
TL;DR - Receipt doesn’t match what was charged to card
Update: Once my payment has gone through for my debit card I can see that they added 8% tip for themselves even though I wrote “cash” on their merchant copy of the receipt. Very disappointed in them to assume that I would want to add a tip with my card even though I left dollar bills on the table. I’m giving them the benefit of doubt that the extra money charged to the card is their Point of Sales transaction fee or the city’s tax.
Best pastor tacos in Chicago.
Customer service was excellent the cooks were nice as well. The pastor and asada tacos 🌮 were 🔥. The pad Thai was good . The gyoza 🥟 was amazingly cooked. It was my friend and myself first time coming here and we were not disappointed. We will come back soon. Enjoy 😊
Excellent
Great
Recomendado 👌🏽❤️
Riquisimo!!
I love the food ther but for the past year its been impossible to order over the phone. My last order after couple of calls finally someone answered just to put me on hold while they are talking in the back! As I said food is amazing! Need definitely improvement.
Small Chinese/Thai restaurant. Always willing to prepare their dishes the way you want them.
Apparently they have new owners and THIS is what the food from them is like now. This explains the great reviews and my horrible experience.
The absolute worst “Asian” food I’ve ever had. It all tasted like a white girl tried making Asian food at home. Noodles were mushy from being over cooked, no flavor at all. The orange chicken tasted like wet salty chicken, no flavor at all.
Had me on the phone for 10 minutes because the guy I was talking to didn’t even seem to know his own menu. Nightmare from start to finish. In the end, we were charged for extra large on a couple entrees that we didn’t ask for and they forgot the egg rolls.
Let me repeat that this was for sure the worst food I’ve ever had. I could go on but I’d rather not waste more of my time on them. AVOID!
WOULD GIVE 0 STARS! We placed an order over the phone at 5:48 PM for 2 lbs of pastor that would be ready in 30 minutes. Got there at 6:15 PM. The cashier does know how to count!!! He tried cheating us of our change. They tried giving us the wrong order. We kept asking for our order and for how long. We were impatient with their negligence. We asked for a return, THEN they started our order, but refused. We left at 6:47 PM and they ACTUALLY cheated us of $5 in return.
They don’t know what they’re doing. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!
FUCKEEEN LOVE IT...SOOOO DELICIOUS..YOU MUST TRY IT NOW!!! I THINK IS THE BEST ONE I HAVE TASTE SOO FAR EXTREAM WAY BETER THAN ANY OTHER PLACES I BEEN ..HUGE BIG SHRIMPS IN ALL PLATES...N ALL THE FOOD IS FRESH...N THEN I SAW THESE GORGEOUS GIRL..O MY!!!
Tacos al pastor are really good!!! I finally found a spot that uses the same flavor as tacos de trompo in Mexico.
All the workers are efficient
Great professionals to deal with.
1st and last time I visit this place. The woman there taking care of customers is very disrespectful and rude.
Food here not so good, on my personal opinion... And my dog's opinion as well since he ended up puking after eating 2 pieces of their chicken.
They do not honor the Specials they have on their menus on Sundays.
This is the only Asian restaurant I've been to, that charges extra for everything. If you buy a full plate, they give white rice, if you ask for fried rice they charge $2 dollars extra, and no, it doesn't include any meat or shrimp on it, if you ask for "Chicken Fried Rice", or "Beef Fried Rice", or "Shrimp Fried Rice", well, they charge you a few bucks more, depending on your choice. At the end, if you but a platter for $11, be prepared to pay close to $20 for it if you want the rice to be fried and with your choice of meat or shrimp.
I understand that everything is more expensive, but this place is taking advantage of the inflation.
Best Pastor Tacos ever
Very unique Thai restaurant with Mexican twist.
Shrimp Pad Thai $7.99
Lunch special available even on Sat.
The orange chicken not good 👎next time I’m going to try los tacos de al pastor and see if they are good
Excelente servicio muy rica la comida
The shrimp lo mein is good.Especially los tacos Al pastor.
1👍👍👍
Best of the Best
Love this place ❤️
Fantastic! But believe it or not the tacos al pastor are some of the best I have ever had.
Buen lugar
Reallllllly good al pastor. As soon as you walk in you can see the hand assembled gigantic trompo for the al pastor. The red salsa is really good, it comes with habanero onions that are fire. I bought 2 pounds of meat for takeout for a party and everybody loved the meat. Star of the show
Unprofessional and unkind owners. If you do not welcome pets, then please POST A SIGN on your doors! We are not mind readers to know if you welcome dogs or not. I was carrying my dog while picking up tacos (my dog was in my arms at all times and she is a tiny dog) Cash in hand ready to pay only to be told by the Asian Owner that I can not be in there with my dog. She then said GET HER OUT OF HERE to her husband, the cook. The owner then claims that my 7 tacos were not ready after waiting over 20 minutes. I've been a client since you opened your doors years ago but thanks to your lack of professionalism, I'll take my business and money to other smaller businesses who know how to speak to their clients and treat them with respect. It's also common sense to post a SIGN ON YOUR DOOR IF YOU ARE NOT PET FRIENDLY RESTAURANT. DO YOUR RESEARCH AS AN OWNER.
SPEAK TO CLIENT'S WITH RESPECT SO YOU CAN RECEIVE RESPECT IN RETURN
Also, I'm sure a fine from the COOK COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH IS MORE THEN $500 for rats in your alley.
Very very Poor customer service not professional unappreciated owners very rude will make you wait 30mins for simple order unacceptable will take my business elsewer!!✌️👎🏻
Great tacos!
I was standing there for 5 minutes. Not a single person did anything. Just stood there the entire time. Chefs didn’t do anything, the workers ignored.
Stood there for 5 minutes at the FRONT COUNTER. Not a single person came to take order. 5 people working there, nobody does anything or says a word. Chefs don’t do anything either. 1 star.
Stood there for 5 minutes at the front desk. Not one person came to take order or say anything. Supposed chefs just stood there and didn’t say anything to their staff. Deserved 1 star.
I had a bad experience with the owner, the lemons was not fresh like always and i told him to change them and he didn't want to,he told me thats the only ones he had,he ask me if i want them or not? Of course i don't want them, why he have to be so rude with the customers? This is not the first time that happens,i been a customer for years, check your orders of tacos or al pastor meat before leaving the place to make sure have everything, this is my last time i ordering from this place, they just lost a good customer!
Wow best Shrimp Fried rice I've had in years! Perfectly cooked with good size shrimp. Love their Kung Pao Chicken, chunky size fresh vegetables, not frozen, with just the right amount of heat.
Best Tacos Al pastor in the city. Possibly even better than many in Mexico City where they are most popular.
Best beef lo mein in Chicago!!! Hands down! Great service.
Demasiado chicos los tacos
Delicious 😋
I love their tacos al pastor! Are amazing and remind me the real mexican taste!
La carne al pastor está rica
Not sure how they have 4.4 rating. Gave it a try just to see how it is. They gave me the wrong order. Was my fault too because I didn’t realize it until I got home. Still, can’t hear what they say to you because of all the sounds going on. I knew it was going to be bad when I seen they have a huge menu that is both chinese food and mexican food, but wow it’s bad. The person that answered the phone didn’t even know their own menu! Their chinese food, especially the rice is worse than panda express. Way too soggy. The place is very small too so impossible to eat comfortably there. Avoid this place for chinese food unless you want to grab some al pastor.
The tacos al pastor are satisfying and delicious, definitely much better than most Mexican cuisine restaurants. Service is great as they were courteous, quick and understanding. I will be coming back more often!
Exelente comida y servicio!!! 👍👍👍
Best food in Chicago hands down!!!
