Traditional curries & noodle dishes plus beer, wine & cocktails served in compact, casual surrounds.
This place is delicious. One of my favorite food joints that right down the street. I love to get it for takeaway, they box it up for ready transport, are fast and offer generous portion sizes! I highly recommend their Tempora Veggies, some of the best I've ever had, and their Pad Thai, with fish. Be careful with how spicy you ask for, spicy is very spicy, although I'm a fan of hot and spicy food, I would go a little mild unless you are a fan of spicy Curry. Portion sizes are very generous for the prices, I would definitely recommend this place for good food on a budget, and their dining area is nice and their bar is a great place for a cheap date.
OMG the fish here!!!! YUMMY food all around. There is nothing here I didn't like. The calamari is tender and breaded go perfection. The fish is delicious. Perfectly fried in a sweet and tangy sauce. The service can't be any better easily my favorite Thai restaurant in island so far. Can't wait to go back.
We stayed in Waikiki. Shopped at Kahala Mall. We were looking for a place to eat on the way back and found lots of options along Waialae Avenue (Kaimuki). The ambience =3 stars here (stark, clinical, plastic chairs) however the food/flavors =4 stars. Friendly service = 4 stars. Value for money = 4 stars. After dinner there are places to grab dessert or after dinner boba.
We decided to try this restaurant out today. We got the soft summer rolls, yellow curry and Pad Thai. I am a little picky about food at restaurants but this was a great choice. Server was attentive and had our ordered food to our table very quickly. I was going to take most of my Pad Thai home with me but the person with me finished it up and also all of his curry. Plan to take my sister here while visiting for her 70th birthday. Also, plan for this to be my go to Thai restaurant from now on.
Always delicious. One of our go to favorites for dining in and takeout. This is one of our go to for guests in town. Warm and friendly owner who cares about her guests.
Favorite Thai for years. Home cooked vibe and always so consistent & yummy. Mahalo To Thai For :)
Ordinary to say the least. People are nice.
Always delicious. One of our go to favorites for dining in and takeout. This is one of our go to for guests in town. Warm and friendly owner who cares about her guests.
my favorite restaurant on island. amazing food and service <3
By far our favorite Thai restaurant in Honolulu! My favorite is the Pad Keamau, it’s so delicious. Definitely highly recommend.
Lovely authentic Thai food, and now carries thai snacks. Sweet woman runs this place and always greets with a smile!
Phenomenal cuisine and convenient local spot. The service was wonderful and food was delicious. Definitely a GO TO spot.
Literally walked in with no prior knowledge of this spot and had the tastiest green curry i’ve had in a long time! As someone who enjoys spice I got american spicy, and it was quite hot. Beware of thai hot options if not already familiar! Will definitely come back again.
You can always find delicious food and great service here. This is the first store I visit when I visit Hawaii.
My recommendations are Pad Thai and Hometown Curry, they are delicious like no other!
Amazing sea bass whole fish
Recommended to come here by a bartender during our honeymoon. Best Thai food we’ve ever had
- flavorful, spice level is just right, and just absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the fried tofu and massaman curry.
service was wonderful and atmosphere was good too. but it’s a bit different from what I used have. Taste more like mixtures of Vietnamise. Too sweet. Make sure to ask easy on sugar. Shrimp yellow curry, Veggies spring rolls and other stir fries we ordered.
Spring rolls wrapped with not rice papers.
Hope this helps when you order.
oh… when I found out the curry was too sweet, I asked easy on stir fries and that was good! Server was so kind!
Excellent food, can't go wrong,
I can't believe the restaurant tried to charge me more than what her printed menu list said ($18 vs $17). And they also charged me 3.5% for using credit card without telling me they have this policy. And when I challenged her price being higher than printed menu price she said "it is only $1 difference and my costs keep going up".
Unbelievable!
We were referred by hotel staff and we couldn’t be more satisfied.
The food was great! Don’t be afraid of the Thai spicy rating, if you like spicy go 4 Thai spicy 🌶️.
The only bummer was they did not have a good selection for drinks, that were out of most drinks on the menu.
Friendly service! Would definitely come back😃.
Spice levels are out of sync with reality - prices are also out of sync with the current economy.
They have 7 levels starting with zero. We ordered 1 and it was too spicy already. Cannot sense any of the food flavors due the spice intensity. Definitely not tasty!!!
On top they charge too much for the kind of food they serve. For me this is a zero stars place.
We ordered takeout here. The panang and Thai basil that we ordered was so delicious that we went twice in one week.
Best way to describe To Thai For: it’s an American Thai diner. Nice enough server but the food was lacklustre. Pad Thai is standard and nothing special. Pumpkin curry is ok but cornstarch consistency and standard flavour seems like it comes from a can. Chicken satay itself had good marinade but the dipping sauce again seemed it was from a can and wasn’t tasty to me. Sorry, but there are other options out there that are better.
Good food and good service. Always a table available. Place needs some attention and cleaning. The ceiling is really rough and it's getting worse and feels unsanitary.
We stayed in Waikiki. Shopped at Kahala Mall. We were looking for a place to eat on the way back and found lots of options along Waialae Avenue (Kaimuki). Amazing thai food. Great combination of spice and flavor made the food just amazing. We had spicy fried rice and pad Thai noodles. We ended up ordering more food to take for dinner as well:-)
I came here for the reviews and the punctuation on google maps, but honestly not worth it. The food no real thai flavor, it lack very much in every plate we order. Expensive and at the entry there's a sign that says every item it's 1 more dollar. The portions not generous like thai original food it used to be.
Not coming back for sure. If you are hungry go but if you're looking for thai good food go somewhere else.
Don't order the spring rolls !!! Reap off !!
This is by far and away some of the best Thain food I have had the pleasure of eating. The pad seyu was amazing and the panang curry was equally delicious. Service was great, quick and friendly and kept our waters topped up after the
wiliwilinui ridge trail hike. The location is quaint but clean.
There is parking in the back so no need to look for quarters and on street parking. I can't recommend this place enough for those who like Thai cuisine.
Delicious! We got panang curry and pad seeu. Both were just perfect. There was not a drop left on their plate. Best meals we had on Oahu.
I've visited twice Got vegetable red curry, Thai hot, vegetable Tom Ka, Thai hot, and panang curry, spice level 4. Easy to customize, both on protein and spice level, which was on point (for once). Added eggplant to the panang, and it worked great. Thai hot brought the heat, which is rare! Service was very good. The ceiling could be improved... umbrellas were being used to catch a leak! And I hate pun names. But enjoyed myself and will be back.
Muay thai pork chops are AMAZING!!! The best pork chops I’ve ever had! Pumpkin curry is nice too. Minus 1 star because they charge extra fee if you pay in credit card not in cash. That’s kind of ridiculous.
Short staffed.
Food was not great - oily.
Pad Thai was not sweet at all.
Their Masaman curry is awesome. The food is superb. The ambiance is great.
Omg, so bad! (compared to what Thai can/should be!) Edible, but very disappointing. I even came here a second time, hoping it would be different (and because I love Thai food), but no... it's pretty bad if you care about food.
very good but also very spicy! aside from the spice part, the mango sticky rice is to die for.
I just ordered 18 dollar curry from this place and they both arrived to me half full and un marked.... I feel totally ripped off.
Edit: ok so after eating it, I have to say it's the best curry I ever had in NM but still.... 18 dollars for half a container?!
We love To Thai for. I like spicy food and Thai medium spice takes me right to the edge of too hot, but not over the top. I love the coconut soup. We have never had a bad meal. My favorite Thai restaurant in Honolulu.
we had excellent food and service. Order with ZERO spice if you dont like heat but understand things like green curry impossible for them to make with no spice. spicMangowawesobe
I had a terrible experience here. The lady mocked us for not being able to eat 0.5 spice level and even kids can handle the level 1 spice, the truth is it is way spicer than most Thai restaurants I’ve ever ate at. I had go up to the cashier to ask for water, and the check myself multiple times. When I asked for a plate and a spoon, she questioned me why I needed them, and ask me why chopsticks won’t suffice? It’s like I’m asking too much? (I’ve never ate at a Thai restaurant that offers chopsticks as default) the food itself not only it’s too hot, it’s also got way too much sugar compare to other Thai restaurant I’ve had in Hawaii.
The crew is so friendly and food is awesome.
Amazing food! Lots of vegetarian options, truly to Thai for. Love the different levels of spice offered. I personally love spicy food so Thai medium was perfect for me.
Pad Thai was delicious
Fantastic authentic Thai food in a relaxed pleasant dine in atmophere. They also cater to your level of spice tolorence without sacrificing the Thai food experience.
Still my favorite Thai on the island, or anywhere! We got our usual, two meals each cuz we treat ourselves Everytime we eat here. Pad Thai, Green Curry, Crab Fried Rice and Muay Thai Pork Chops.
The Pad Thai has a sweetness to the sauce that I love. The Green Curry is the best Thai curry I've had and comes with eggplant.
The Muay Thai Pork Chops are cooked in a black garlic sauce that is incredible.
And the Crab Fried Rice is loaded with crab flavor.
The only staple I didn't get tonight was their Papaya Salad with is unbelievable, and at medium spice it packs a serious punch but is so so good.
Amazing Thai food. Everything I've tried here is delicious. Be careful with the spice level, it is for real! The staff, Natt in particular is always friendly attentive. Can't wait to go again.
My favorite spot for Thai food because of the vegan options. You can tell them you want everything vegan and they're so good about it. ‘Ono food at a fair price... Our go-tos are the panang curry and pad thai. If I'm feeling something sweet, I get the Thai iced tea and/or mango sticky rice. We often call ahead to pick up since it's so close to home. I've even bought a plant and some fresh, local apple bananas while grabbing takeout : ) Parking in the back is free if you're there less than 20 minutes.
Authentic food with homey ambience. Staffs very receptive and good service. Food was very light on spice inspite of requesting for spicy choices though. We assumed that to be usual and so didn't inquire again. Price was rightly tagged.
Amazing food! Everything was so delicious and quick to serve. Definitely recommend it, the pumpkin curry was particularly 👌.
Lots of spice levels to choose from for everyone. Expect larger dishes (and possibly leftovers). Their Thai teas were excellent, especially the Plantation Pineapple. Love all the plants they had indoors for sale!
Great food. Reasonable prices
Food is always excellent. Had the special pork belly and it was amazing. Rad Na is always delicious. Plus, the service is great. They are friendly and fast. Love it here.
Always an amazing place to eat hands down 10/10
Best Thai food on the island, bar none. I’ve lived on O’ahu for 23 years and I haven’t found another Thai restaurant that is even close to the quality here. My favorites are the massaman curry, pumpkin curry, and the pineapple fried rice. Service is always speedy and polite, the family that runs the place is so sweet and still remembers me even after leaving for college. I used to go here so often I think I’ve had everything on the menu.
This business deserves all the support it can get during covid. If I wasn’t on the mainland right now I’d be ordering takeout from here every night. Thank you for being the one restaurant my siblings and parents could all agree to eat at night after night. Aloha!
This place is surprisingly delicious. Daimond in the rough.
Great food a little on expensive side though
Love the service and food! So friendly and delicious! 😍
Tvis place might be fine or even great.. I wanted to try this place. Went to the entrance and I sign said to go around back....??? As far to the left and right I could see was stores stores and more stores. No directions on the sign on where specifically to go. Please fix this so I can try your food. I just left 4 stars for now since thats the average review.
They might have good food but I ended up eating at the place next door because it looked yummy and I could get inside easily.
Great food. Friendly staff.
Good food, I loved the flavors and the way they put them together
Best Thai food in Hawai'i. Massaman curry is "to die for"
Open for takeout during covid. Hometown curry and shrimp firecrackers were the perfect combination. They also sometimes have local produce for sale when you go in to pick up your food!
Started picking up orders during the lockdown days and cannot be happier. This has been my go to Thai place on the island. The food is really flavorful and they also have some farm fresh veggies/fruits which I pickup on the way to get an order.
Amazing place, highly recommended.
Best Thai food I have eaten outside Thailand. Very gentle atmosphere, great service: a wonderful family restaurant.
First time, good food...be careful on spiciness....
Friendly service, best Panang Curry with tofu I've had in a long time! My wife loved the To Thai For Hometown Curry. Mango sticky rice for dessert was delicious also. We'll be back! *All dishes can be made vegan and gluten free*
Great place
Este lugar es fantástico para ir a comer comida Tai, muy rica y buenos precios, la atención merece un 10.. 😁
Great food. Very friendly service. Lots of fun.
I love how the restaurants are here in these couple blocks. You can park in the parking lot and enter through the back or of course always through the main front entrance. I got there for lunch a little before noon and there was no one else in the restaurant so i was a little hesitant. Glad I stayed as the service was super quick, the food was amazingly fresh, the price was pretty decent and the food was all delicious. I'll definitely be back to this place for dinner and even dessert!
Please give me a "like"!
Food is authentic and excellent
Loved it . Been there a few times never disappointed
great flavors, super friendly service. my favorite Thai restaurant on the island ❤️
Excellent food! I have been on the search for this since 2015 when I had thai food in LA and this was finally it!!!! Come to Idaho please!
Wonder food and great people.

This was a very pleasant surprise and an amazing meal at this Thai restaurant a friend told me about and decided to check out. The restaurant very visible from the road, but can be a bit challenging with limited street parking in the area. I recommend parking in the municipal parking located in the back which can be accessed from the side streets off of Waialae Ave.
One thing to note is that this place is a real Thai restaurant run by Thais. Many Thai restaurants are actually run by Laotians. Nothing wrong with that, but sometimes the flavors can be a bit different as well as the offerings.
We started with the calamari as our appetizer which as a great call. The calamari was made from large chunks cut from a filet and not small strips or rings. They were cooked perfectly in a golden crisp batter. Some of the best I have ever had.
Now I normally shy away from fried rice because here in the States, they just don't cook it properly and it is more like tossed rice with cheap frozen vegetables and some precooked protein added in. Their pineapple fried rice was actually properly cooked with lots of premium ingredients and the shrimp was added to it at just the right moment to be cooked with it to perfection.
The pumpkin curry was a healthy savory delight. I had it with chicken and it was perfect, but if you are a vegetarian, they offer it with tofu as well. It was very flavorful and had a nice balance of vegetables, sauce and protein to make it the perfect curry that was good for you, but tasted amazing at the same time.
If you are health conscious, vegetarian, or vegan, they got lots of options. However, if you like meat like I do, they do offer everything in the standard vegetarian, chicken, beef, shrimp, and fish options.
Along with the great food, the service was very nice and supper friendly. It is a little slow after placing your order to get your food, but they prepare everything fresh for you without cutting corners, so it is well worth the little extra wait.
I will return to this place for sure and highly recommend it.
The owner is super friendly and food is great
Unpretentious place, very good food. Think we had a new waitress who didn't know anything about the dishes served there so it took time to decide what to order as she had to continually check with others and ask. I do plan to go back.
Vegan Heaven!
Great food
Great food... Very friendly staff.
Don't let the silly name fool you: this family-owned joint has some of the best Thai food on the island. Great curries, better stir fries, and pretty much everything can be made vegan/vegetarian on request. Do take their warnings about the spice level seriously though - "Thai hot" is not for the faint of heart (or sensitive of palette).
Delicious! My favs are pumpkin Curry and summer rolls!
Very tasty Thai food. Quality not quantity
Not the classiest but a great spot! Food is on point!
Authentic Thai food with reasonable price and friendly staff. You can park at a city parking lot in the back.
I love this place. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Lots of vegetarian options. The summer rolls are fabulous.
This is the absolute perfect example of a Mom's homemade cooking brought to the masses. Even though the food is cooked on a massive scale, every forkful and spoonful you put in your mouth will taste like your mom made it just for you. Every nuanced ingredient that makes Thai food, Thai food, shines through here.
店員さんいい感じですが、タイ料理風、というだけ。これはタイ料理ではない。
i thought it was wonderful. very spicy though if u choose wrong spice level. i tried a soup and the pumpkin curry. both were great.
Staff was very friendly, but only fair tasting Thai food, and overpriced... The place was pretty much deserted for a reason.
a lot of vegan options and are very accommodating! Atmosphere is quiet.
Great food, as we ordered Panang Curry with rice and it was great. Pad see ew was also very good. US spice level med or 1 out of 5 was plenty hot enough for us. Or waitress couldn't keep up with my water demand haha. If your looking for good Thai food this place is it.
They were very accommodating to our party of 7.
Excellent! Loved the pad Thai. Also the pumpkin soup was awesome! Im definitely going back.
Good thai food, good for family or groups.
We like their fish and stir fried eggplant. Pad Thai is on point too.
If you want spicy Thai food, this place is for you!
We got vegetarian versions of the spicy fried rice and the eggplant dish. The sauce for the eggplant was very good too. They substituted oyster sauce for something vegetarian. They can do a lot of substitutions to accommodate for vegetarian/vegan needs.
For the rice we went with heat level 3 and level 4 for the eggplant. This was a good amount of heat, wasn't uncomfortable but wasn't bland either.
I do have a good heat tolerance but I think 5 would have made me uncomfortable.
The food at To Thai For is great, especially if you like spice. The staff advised which meals were extremely spicy and offered less spicy versions. I highly recommend ordering the pork chops as an appetizer or a meal. They were delicious and filling.
Great flavors, amazing service, reasonable prices! A real "go to" on my list.
Great Pad Thai and service.
Favor blast, everything we order was great. I would recommend this place to all my friends.
Good is great
Great, fresh food. Foods are full of flavor.
Love the food here.
Great food decent price
Website "strongly recommends" making a reservation but no one answers the phone so we are going somewhere else.
Great service and amazing food!! Very accommodating. Finished our food and ordered double and took it home. A must visit location if ever in Hawaii.👍
So far the best Thai food in Honolulu and friendly service.
Crab fried rice and pumpkin curry are favorites and highly recommended
Worst food for vegans/vegetarians, there was fish sauce in the red thai curry and the waitress did not admit to the fault. We called beforehand to check if curries could be made without fish sauce and they said it was possible. We specifically requested for no fish sauce in the curries, but there was definitely fish sauce in the 3 out of 5 curries ordered. Waitress was not even the slightest bit accommodating to the issue. She said we could order a new curry, but we would be charged for both, as she said it was made specifically vegan. Very dissapointed in this restaurant. The restrooms were also dirty and not well looked after. Asked for a 4 out of 5 spice level and it was much hotter than typical medium thai curries.
I don't like there food
Food was excellent. We got summer rolls, red curry n mango sticky rice. Service was too slow though n restrooms were dirty..
Amazing food!! Their Curry is super flavorful with the perfect amount of heat!
thats ok
Absolutely terrific food and people. They were 14 of us and everybody thought the food was excellent. I think it's a family-run place and they were all super sweet.
I’m excited to find this nearby restaurant. Today was the first time I ate here. My friend and I shared shrimp rolls, chicken pumpkin curry, papaya salad and shrimp pad thai. Every dish was bursting with flavor.
Favorite Thai place in Honolulu. Spicy fried rice is the best fried rice I’ve ever had. Super friendly staff always gets it right, whether dining in or taking out.
This place was fantastic. The service was great and the dishes excellent. The pad see ew with pork was spot on, and the pineapple fried rice everything you'd want in a dish. The spice level explanations are accurate, listen to them. Yum yum yum. If i lived in Hawaii, I'd try to live walking distance to this place and go daily.
Really great food
Excellent food and service
Amazing authentic Thai food. Definitely try it.
Amazing Thai food. Literally everything is good.
Great Food, large portions, and it tastes great.Ggo for lunch and bring a friend, large portions so friend or take-out.
Food is mediocre and staff is too 😑
Very slow service . I ask for my check and the server intentionally ignored me. Ask again for the check came out 5 min later with it. I had to go the bar to pay for my order because the server would not come back for check to charge it. The place was not that busy for them to forget. A very irritating experience if you have somewhere to be.
This place is delicious. One of my favorite food joints that right down the street. I love to get it for takeaway, they box it up for ready transport, are fast and offer generous portion sizes! I highly recommend their Tempora Veggies, some of the best I've ever had, and their Pad Thai, with fish. Portion sizes are very generous for the prices, I would definitely recommend this place for good food on a budget, and their dining area is nice and their bar is a great place for a cheap date.
Lovely ladies providing quick, pleasant service.. great low prices.. and a reliable "food-quality" at each satisfied visit.
Let me just say if you want take out, call in advance for it! I went there on a Sunday night around 6:30 wanting to do a simple take out order for soup. I understand they were extremely busy, but to completely forget/ignore (??) a customer is unacceptable. I patiently waited almost 30 mins at the bar for someone to take my order (I really wanted the soup!!!). It was even more upsetting because one of the waitresses came by the bar at least 5-6 times to pour drinks. I tried to flag her down several times even when she stood right in front of me pouring wine, but clearly she chose to ignore me and my order that literally would've taken 30 secs to take!
We were here way before they open for dinner & they let us in. Very warm people with some amazing food!! We had vegetarian & chicken dishes & everything was to die for. Highly recommend it
Everything was very flavorful.
The staff is extremely nice.
Every dish seemed to be a little sweeter than what I have had in the past but still good.
I love this place. Best Thai food on Oahu
Vegan and gluten free options....yes!!
Best Thai Restaurant around.
