Thai curries, noodles & stir fries served in a warm spot with crimson walls & traditional accents.
I love Thai food. Tonight I got pad Thai to go and was so disappointed. This is not pad Thai. These were so dry with no flavor. Just sweet. So sweet. No egg, hardly any peanuts. Summer rolls weren't great. Tom Yum was ok but there were large woody pieces in the bottom of the soup. Good size portions and staff are quick and friendly. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat this food and I hate spending over $50 on inedible food. I'll spend the extra money on Klom Klom.
Ordered drunken noodles and massaman curry. The massaman was what I expected and tasted good, but the drunken noodles were not like any i've had before. Not necessarily *bad*, but not great. But we got minor food poisoning from the food, so not a fan of this place. Judging from the reviews, our experience doesn't seem common, but I don't trust it enough to come back.
Love this little place. My favorite is the yellow curry with rice and the chicken laab salad. Today we had spribg rolls and thai salad for appetizers and garlic chicken, tofu drunken noodles and the spicy lemongrass steak for the entree. Remember to order the complimentary hot tray if you want things spicier. Lots of vegetarian options as any dish can have tofu substituted. All dishes were really tasty. 😋
Passed by this township and this one was close to the hotel so we picked it. But we were disappointed and could not agree on the rating people had given. I ordered the summer roll, which was refreshing though but the dressing wasn't appealing. I had the signature noodles but not a taste of Thai. My husband's massaman curry was very watery, and the rice portion was small. It definitely not worth anything above 4.
Just visit and experience the deliciousness we enjoyed! We ordered 4 different items and it was all outstanding although the Pad Thai was my least fave. The shrimp fried rice, the drunken noodles, the Bai Ka Pao was very impressive (I had some of all). The portions were large enough for us to have for a left over meal. We did Door Dash service and delivery was fast. This was a great way to end our stay in Savannah. We will be back again!
Not the best photos but I share anyway.

Wonderful restaurant. Friendly, efficient staff. Great choice of vegan and traditional dishes. A favorite!
DO NOT EAT HERE. I ordered the lunch sized Pad Thai and when I called to complain that the noodles, eggs, and shrimp all had an orange/pink hue to them, I was told that they sometimes add food coloring. I’m not really sure why that is but this is not authentic food. Go to Klom Klom!
curry was fantastic, the pad thai tasted like it dressed with sweet and sour sauce from mcdonald’s. the service is lacking. unfortunately this restaurant is just hit and miss with the dishes.
Excellent food very good Want good food this the place.

We bought green curry with beef and drunken noodles . Not flavorful at all.
Tom Yum soup was quite sweet, take a pass on it. Medium $10 bowl gets you three small shrimp. Summer rolls are OK, 6.5 out of 10. Wonton soup was really good, 8 out of 10, good broth.
Food was great, but got my card compromised here for over 300$ was the only place I used my card this day.
Grabbed some delicious lemongrass steak stir fry here! Staff was super friendly! We will definitely be adding this restaurant to our rotation!
Fabulous!
Came in for a late dinner/snack - Tom kha soup was very creamy and delicious and shrimp salad was excellent!
Food is always amazing and a bit more expensive but a great little spot.
Its decent but fish dish was not great last visit. They should sell fresh fish and Ingredients because there are other Thai restaurants competing in the area that are just as good or better. Prices are a bit high as well. The pad Thai is delicious though!
My fav in Savannah . I love the sweet rice/ fresh mango dessert. The curry bowls are great but ttt hot enough everything we’ve ever tried has been fantastic!!!!
Best Thai in savannah area
Had excellent food here tonight. Its not very impressive looking but we both had lovely meals.Service was unobtrusive and correct.A lot of giggling and laughing from the girls behind the counter-always a good sign when staff get on/are happy!
Just say no. Great service but the food is NOT GOOD! Had drunken noodles , sauce tasted like off Alfredo and the veggies were mushy. Simplistic dish Gone wrong!
I was at first skeptical having read some reviews. However I decided to try based on some other's.
I was NOT the least bit disappointed.
My meal was very enjoyable and peaceful on this Easter Sunday 2024.
Thank you.
The best Thai food in Georgia. Hands down.
I ordered the chicken sate, the pot stickers, and the Thai fried rice with shrimp. Everything was really good. I put peanut on everything I ordered, it was delicious.
very disappointed in the drunken noodles. We got all noodles hardly any vegetables.
The best curry in Savannah!!!!
The food tasted good, however my dish had coconut oil in it which wasn't in the description. NBD for me, however my dinner date has a strong distaste for it which is why I chose the dish. So the opportunity to share and try different things was kiboshed. Anyways our meals were fine. It's a clean place and had a fair amount of traffic.
Lunch for some spicy green curry chicken. Food & service great. Only complaint is $2.50 for a coffee cup of green tea is a bit expensive.
This is one of the best restaurants in Savannah as their curry is simply fantastic and the sweet rice is a family favorite dessert.
Another great place! I go here once in a while for lunch with friends when I’m craving good ole curry & it never disappoints.
Was excited for drunken noodles, but they were a letdown. No flavor or spice hardly in the drunken noodles. Service and portions were good. Just slowly realizing Savannah is not the place for Thai food.
Came here for dinner, sat, ate our appetizer and looked over and saw a mouse running across tables. The rodent started running toward my wife and I. Our waitress saw it and alerted another waitress who begun chases the mouse around the tables with a broom and dust pan. All while laughing and treating the situation like it's normal. After they got the mouse into the dust pan the waitress came over to us laughing stating they left the back door opened this morning and it must've gotten in. She did apologize, and it did feel sincere.
We decided to leave and packed our stuff, the waitress brought us our check... No discount for the usual experience. We will not be back. By far the strangest experience we've ever had. Spent $70 to have a mouse running towards us and finding its resting place under our table.
This is what happens when the kitchen has been outsourced so far, those responsible for your meal have no concept of what it’s supposed to taste like. We’re well traveled. In town for a special occasion and we we’re craving Thai Food. Google search brought us here. 5 completely different dishes and 2 orders of dumplings. The dumps, although a little different, were excellent. The Penang Curry, Thai Fried Rice, Pad Thai and Larb Salad were nothing close to ANY Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to. The Tom Ka Gai soup that I was so looking forward to, had absolutely no flavor. The Larb was swimming in the dressing, my son’s Pad Thai had noodles that were not fully cooked, or very old, as they were hard on the middle. When I told the waitress the soup was not good she offered no apology but rather a look like I had no clue what I was talking about. The bottom line is - there is not a single Thai in the kitchen and it shows. Very delicate flavors like Thai, requires a pro and whomever is doing the cooking, is not one. Sorry but this place is too far from Siam to call its food “authentic” anything.
Excellent crispy duck!
If you want any other food to taste good dine here .this is more like let me hear up some Walmart frozen dinner and serve you.thai food is amazing but this is not thai food......
Good Thai chicken wings and fresh summer rolls
Hands down the best Thai Food in Savannah for sure. Everything was great. Don’t waste your time in the touristy areas, go where the locals do.
Maybe it was a bad day, but I’ve been to Thai restaurants in many US cities and countries across the globe and the was without doubt. Basil Rolls had no flavor, coconut soup was watery and unappealing, Naan Tok was burned and without spice. It was served on shredded lettuce rather than cabbage. Pad Thai was inedible. Rating it a 1 star is being generous.
Love the summer rolls and the angel wings had curry beef and noodles and another plate with flounder very good always great service
Excellent Thai food I feel it’s as close to authentic as you can get in the area
Was in the area for some pho, which this place apparently had on Google - but went for Thai food instead. This place seemed to be rated well, and the place was mostly full like the locals know to come here - which is what makes my experience so puzzling. The drunken noodle was so incredibly bland, the meat had ZERO flavor, and was barely spicy. There was some sort of gross texture issue and was kind of runny like there was pasta water here. Keep in mind I haven't eaten all day, this is one of my favorite dishes of all time and I've been to probably 40 Thai places in my life. There's supposed to be some sort of char flavor with the wok and probably some basil here or bell peppers, I think. It looked like lifeless pasta vomit and I didn't even want to finish the food. When I entered, the server looked at me like "what do you want?". In fact, she spoke to me like I was a doordash pickup person or something, like I didn't belong here. Food took about 15-20 min to arrive during a late dinner hour. I also was never checked on once until the very end, and I had to use that one opportunity to get the check before I was ignored for another 20 minutes. I am just going to assume they were busy and understaffed, overworked and lacking in social skills rather than rude. That said, I am just going to leave 2 stars rather than 1 star, because you really have to piss someone off to get a 1 star. I wouldn't say they upset me in any direct way, the food and service was just that awful. If I was introducing someone to Thai food and they went here, I promise they would never try Thai again in their lives.
Not bad, but not the greatest either. I thought it was a bit pricey for the menu quality as well. I've had better.
Hey, I have been dining here five years and counting!
อร่อย🥰💖
Stopped in for lunch Sunday. After all these years the food & service were still excellent! I had the drunken noodles with shrimp. Loved it!
above average Thai. I enjoy their red curry. Service is always fast and friendly. Decent menu. I mainly visit for lunch
A hidden gem with great service and food. I had the Tom Yum soup and Thai salad. Both are delicious. I only skipped the mango sticky rice because I knew everything else would be plenty.
Next visit to Savannah, I will come back and have mango sticky rice. I highly recommmend this gem for the food and most definitely the kind service.
Always love having lunch here! Their Thai tea is delicious along with the rest of their menu, the decor is also lovely to look at and the service is amazing.
This place has some real good authentic Thai food.
Great service. Great food
Just ordered this on door dash because I noticed it one day and the food is not good at all. I figured it wouldn’t be when the arrival time was 10 minutes after I ordered. NO SEASONING WHATSOEVER! I ordered Thai fried rice with chicken and shrimp. The chicken tastes raw, this doesn’t taste like Thai food at all.
I would recommend Ruan Thai in downtown savannah or PJ’s Thai also downtown.
best pad thai in savannah, i’ve tried a lot of different places for pad thai and this one always tops.
Always good
Absolutely delicious every time!
It’s giving something….. not Thailand but something
Curry does not taste like Thai curry. And I lived in Thailand for 6 mo. Also no spice and whitewashed
The Chicken Pad Thai was relatively flavorless; the pork fried rice was beyond horrible! The rice was yammy, clumpy, white-gray color, clearly it was not fried, and it had chunks of what looked like chicken not pork in it. The potstickers were the weirdest things we’ve ever seen however they were fairly tasty. They were kind of round balls, looked like mushrooms. The final insult was when I asked for some duck sauce to go with the order; they gave me a tiny container and charged me $1; I don’t think there was even an ounce in the container and my order was almost $40. I asked for more and they charged me another $1! However, if you eat in the restaurant, you can have all the duck sauce you want for free included with your meal. That’s just gouging a takeout customer! We will never eat their food again!
AMAZING food. Really really good and great portion sizes!
The King and I is a fantastic restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious Thai cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with warm and friendly service that makes you feel right at home.
The menu at The King and I offers a wide variety of traditional Thai dishes that are sure to please even the most discerning palate. Whether you are in the mood for spicy curries, savory stir-fries, or fragrant noodle dishes, The King and I has something for everyone.
One of the things that really sets The King and I apart is the quality of the ingredients used in each dish. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared, making for a truly unforgettable dining experience.
In addition to the food, the atmosphere at The King and I is also worth mentioning. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a warm and inviting ambiance that is perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner for two.
Overall, I can't recommend The King and I enough. If you're in the mood for some delicious Thai cuisine, be sure to check it out!
Always great food here.
Would have a given it a 5 it the staff hadn't chosen to aggravated the nonsense out of me tonight.
Coming into town late looking for a place for me and my wife to eat.
Chose King & I because they are open until 9:30.
Walked in at 8:50 and the woman attending to us did everything she could to dissuade us from ordering because "they were closing soon".
If you want to close at 9.... just do it.
Annoying enough to have to rush to find a place to eat. If you watch to stop seating at 8:30, then do that.
Always the best!
Very authentic. The food was delicious. I am looking forward to making my way through the menu.
Food is good but the portions are lacking.. Atmosphere is great but the service was kind of spotty.
Typically will order Pad Thai to-go for lunch! In the past I’ve also had dinner there and had a great experience with the food and service!
We really enjoyed our lunch.
Very nice 👍 service and very nice people they were
Fresh, delicious, love the spring and summer rolls and the Panang Curry is absolutely amazing.
Food was amazing!!!
A true hidden gem. I will definitely be going back!
I had a very pleasant dinner. The staff was attentive and kind, the environment was calm, and my food was very good. I recommend the potstickers, pad see ew and hot green tea. The cheesecake recommended to me was also delicious. This was a great experience and I hope I can come back if I am ever in the Savannah area again.
Lovely Thai food great on a weekday for lunch!
Great lunch specials
Nice people, food is not good: curry possessed an altiod mint pungency, crispy duck was way over cooked, had no flavor, though the accompanying sauce had flavor and would never pour it on duck. Cashew chicken was meh, Thai fried rice had no flavor. Spring roll was mostly lettuce.
So I sat down to order some food, was not offered a menu, anything to drink, or even greeted. What do you need was the response I got when I walked in the door. I was tempted to request an oil change. What do most people who enter restaurants need?
I was not impressed with the appearance of the place, the bar did not look stocked, and the price of items on the menu was extremely high for the torture I knew I may have been about to endure. So glad I went to the taco spot next door instead.
Good.
Wonderfully authentic Thai cuisine. The panang curry was delicious and packed with fresh, crisp vegetables. I’ll definitely be back!
Overall disappointing. The pad Thai wasn’t bad but was pretty dry. The summer rolls were also mainly lettuce and the side of peanut sauce was very sweet and had an artificial flavor.
Imitation Calamari, crispy duck was not crispy the duck died by drowning in a sugary sauce.
Love their curry.
So incredibly disappointed in how badly the quality of food is now. This used to be my #1 choice for Thai food in Savannah and now is dead last. Ordered what I have always ordered but haven't been able to eat here in at least a few years. Definitely a change in recipes or cooks or management or something! Pad see ew and Panang Curry were bland and the curry soupy with obviously too much coconut milk drowning out any flavor. Hard pass on ever returning.
Delicious Thai food, lots of veggies! Very decent serving sizes. Would definitely go back!
I have always enjoyed the food at the King and I. This review is solely based on the attentiveness of the wait staff. The food has always been good! I had to call the restaurant while sitting in the restaurant to have the wait staff acknowledge that I was still a patron sitting in the restaurant. There were only 3 other tables in the restaurant and two servers. I was disappointed.
Amazing authentic Thai cuisine. Always perfect! Try everything! It's amazing!
Really good Thai spot. Great lunch specials. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and service. Quite atmosphere and enjoyable.
Excellent Thai food!
Authentic Thai food great flavor
Delicious Curry! Highly recommend the fried bananas.
Excellent! Great service and the food was hot, fresh and definitely authentic. One of our new favorite spots in Midtown. We will be back
Excellent
Very good Thai food. Service was great.
Oh so good. I was so impressed with this place is food. The potstickers are absolutely amazing, especially because the sauce you dip it in is delicious. I also got the drunken noodles. Every place I go to has a different sauce for the drunken noodles. I'm not going to say that this place has My favorite drunken noodles, but I can certainly say that the portion is amazing and it is still very good. I really can't wait to go back and try more
Food good, service not so attentive
A number of neighbors posted positive comments about The King & I on NextDoor so my wife and I are there to try it out.
WE LOVED IT!!! The food was fantastic and the service was friendly & wonderful. We highly recommend it.
We ordered via Uber eats. This is the worst Thai food I ate in my life. We ordered drunken noodles, fried rice & red curry costs around $58. I was surprised that all of them very worst. We just throw away and ended up eating pizza. I would not recommend this place.
Not the worst, nothing special
My favorite place to get pad Thai!!!
The employees are nice and the food is amazing
Found this little hole in the wall during a quick business trip. The food was great, I got the pad Thai and Thai sweet tea and enjoyed both. The staff were super nice both on the phone and at pick up. The food was ready quickly and stayed hot even 30 minutes later when I finally got to eat it at my hotel. The prices were pretty much what I expected for the area and more than fair for the generous portions they gave. Definitely stopping here anytime I go through Savannah again
Was not able to check the food service inspection score or l could have saved a small investment by not going. I try not to eat where the sanitation score is less than 90 or not rated "A". We ordered 3 different entrees and l am still trying to determine how they made all 3 different items, ALL TASTE THE SAME! For me NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
We really enjoyed the red curry, spring rolls, dumplings and Thai tea. The service was good but we did feel rushed when ordering. It was partly our fault for coming an hour before closing. We'll definitely be back again soon!
Unfortunately, while service was great (but having traveled to Thailand for work many times), the food lacked flavor. Definitely has been changed from real Thai to suit more of an American taste. Thai food is a burst of different seasonings and flavors, King and I lacked these.
Don't think I have ever had a bad experience here 👍
Nice people, but pad Thai was very un-flavorful. Not a lot of sauce or egg, tofu wasn’t seasoned too well.
We have been eating here for almost 13 years and nothing has changed. The service and food are so consistent and delicious. Thank you to everyone that works hard to make this our favorite restaurant for so many years! Keep on doing what you’re doing! You are so appreciated 💜
Must visit. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Nice meal in a nice environment.
The green curry is top notch! The drunken noodle is different; they us a coconut milk sauce that's very good, but different than I'm used to.
*update*
Still as yummy as ever. This joint needs more love at lunch time!
Not good at all. Servers were not experienced or helpful.
Best Thai restaurant in savannah! Great service everytime!
Love the calamari, the best place and prices are reasonable. . Love you King and I.
Very considerate about vegetarian food/ingredients. I love their curries especially the affordable lunch specials. Ladies in front are quick and kind. No it isn't a Thai restaurant like in a major city but a good option for affordable consistent Thai food.
The food is not as good as it used to be. I wonder if they have a new chef? Wont be going back, sorry.
A bit of a hole in the wall spot, but the Thai food here is authentic and delicious. Inside is homely and cozy and the menu has all the Thai classics. The food is pricey but well worth the money. I love to eat here on special occasions. Recommend this location for Thai food lovers looking for an authentic experience and meal.
It used to be so good! They have watered down the flavor so that it’s almost Chinese-light. There is no reason to see the gumminess of corn starch in the sauce, weakening the intensity of flavor That flavor is why people seek Thai food in the first place! Less and less authentic:(
Great Food and Service.
Great food good service
As USUAL GREAT FOOD
Excellent noodles!
Best place to get rice in Savannah. Love this place
Leaving 3 starts only because they wore masks and had attentive staff and a clean restaurant. I just didn’t like that the pad Thai was not the best and the salads were a bit mediocre. I eat Thai food a lot so this was not one of the best. I think if they work on their recipes it would be a much better review.
We ordered take out. This was the absolute best Thai fried rice I have ever tasted. Lots of meat, very fragrant flavor!!!!!
Great Curry! I had this place 2 times and the curry is delicious the red curry is my favorite though so far. my olny wish is that it was spicier
I could eat everything. I had the coconut soup and yellow curry. The soup is alittle sweet, so it helps when the curry makes me tear up it is a good balance.
Beef Pad Thai with extra spring rolls. Very good, but could have been spicier.
This used to be a very good Thai restaurant years ago. I recently visited this location and it has changed for the worse. The food was bland and the chicken was like rubber. The inside looks run down and tired from what it used to be with white table cloths and upscale dining. Would not recommend and I will not be back.
Best Thai around. Waitress was attentive.
Seriously a fantastic place for Thai. Wife and I popped in for a spontaneous lunch on a whim and it was really great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We split the yellow curry and it was very good.
Love this place. Delicious Thai food. Soft shell crab is delicious!
Attentive staff. Several people recommended this restaurant to me, but I confess, sadly, it was the worst Thai food I've ever had. We love Thai food and we're so disappointed.
Great food. Great service. Friendly, professional staff. Quiet atmosphere. So glad we stopped for lunch.
Amazing food
Red curry with chicken is spicy, creamy, flavorful, full of fresh veggies and they give you big portions.
Lo mejor de lo mejor , el servicio es muy bueno y rápido lo recomiendo 100x100
