A cute, small, chill spot with amazing food and solid menu options. Four of us went and the place has cozy intimate vibe where the kitchen is across from where we sit. For starters, we had the crab rolls, gyoza (fried veggie dumplings), and chicken satay each one came with different sauces loved the peanut sauce, all were super tasty and felt really authentic.
For the main course, we went with the Massaman curry, which was packed with flavor, loaded with veggies, creamy sauce, and peanuts definitely the highlight. We also got the Thai fried rice which was loaded with veggies and chicken and Basil noodles which was juicy and the noodle has the right texture. Everything was on point and a must-try.
We finished off with the mango sticky rice, topped with a sweet sauce, touch of sesame and fresh mango. So good and authentic!
The portion sizes are just perfect. If you’re in Johns Creek, check this place out on Medlock Bridge Road. Totally worth it, we loved every bite!
Delighted to have visited this “hole in the wall” impromptu!! Didn’t feel like cooking at home, we decided to try Thoom Thai & Sushi on Medlock Br. It’s such a cute small space. The Chef, Jimmy, and the Manager made us feel so welcome! I ordered Chicken Satay (only Pork Satay is on the menu) and the Curry Puff (delicious rendition of a Samosa with a much better Dough crust) followed by Chicken Green Curry for my wife, and a Chicken Basil Fried Rice for me! Both plentiful and delicious!! Definitely one of our new “go to” restos in Johns Creek! They also have Sushi offerings - saving it for next time! Thank you Guys! See y’all soon!!
Randomly came across this place and wow, did they deliver! The DUI (spicy basil) noodles and pineapple fried rice were both so so good. And the fried ice cream was delicious. The ambience and service were also lovely. I highly recommend eating here!
This was a last minute choice on Mother's Day to avoid crowds and it didn't disappoint! We were sat immediately and were able to order. We were a party of three and we ordered 2 glasses of Sauvignon Blanc, Tom Kha, Spring Rolls, Basil Shrimp Fried Rice, Basil Chicken Fried Rice, & Masaman Curry.
The food came to our table super fresh and hot! It was incredibly flavorful and delicious! The Basil Fried Rice had a little bit of a kick! I loved it!
My only complaint is how long it took us to get our food! When a table of six comes in 15-20 min after you and gets there food before you, your eyebrows raise!
Normally, I would take off a star for that but it was so quiet and quaint and the manager/server didn't rush us out. We stayed almost an hour after closing just talking and having a great conversation!
Amazing food (Tom Kha soup, DUI, Masaman Curry are must-try). Stellar service each time. Highly recommend
Let me start by saying that I have been eating at this place for years...since before the name change and when they were Sushi Mio. Prior to this evening, I have never had a negative experience here. My family of 4 have spent hundreds of dollars at this establishment. There have been times when I've taken my family, times when I have sat and eaten alone and times when I have gotten food for parties. I have even recommended others, and taken friends and family. Over the past few years, there was one main guy doing everything...taking orders, cooking and waiting on people. For a while, there was a nice lady helping out. Then, there was "what appeared to be" a "nice" older man (possibly the owner). My first time being waited on by this man was an okay experience... no issues.
Fast forward to tonight, I get there and was immediately seated. I had to wait a while, as the man was finishing up with a table for which the patrons were on their way out. As this is happening, a man walks in and is seated to a table next to me. When the guy finishes with the other table, he approaches the man and asks if he "wants the same thing." The man replied "yes," and the guy waiting on him goes over to the computer to put in his order... Never even acknowledges me, I let alone takes my order.
IT IS ONLY WHEN I GET UP TO WALK OUT THAT THE OLDER WAITER GUY ATTEMPTS TO STOP ME AND ASK IF HE CAN HELP ME. I can't help but to think that what happened had something to do with me being a black woman and the man next to me being an Indian man. Either way, this was NOT OK...this was an absolutely rude, insulting and disgusting thing to do!!
Went a couple of doors down to Papa's Dumpling and was pleasantly surprised! 😊 THEY will be getting my money for now on!

Came hear with out any expectations and left here very impressed. The food brought out all had very nice presentation and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Service was great as well, we will be back.

Food was flavorful and would definitely come again 😁
Excellent food and fantastic service. The staff there are super nice and helpful!
Simple order of sushi and spring rolls as delivery so no comment on the service or atmosphere though the food was ready in time. Sushi was very good quality, highly recommend the John's Creek roll. Spring rolls were nice too. Will share pics next time
I've been going here for 4 years and the food is excellent. I normally get the Bento box with 6 piece sashimi. The sushi is always very fresh and tasty. The service is top notch and the prices are very affordable. I definitely recommend for anyone looking for good Thai or sushi in the Johns Creek area.
Wow mate! It was crazy innit, as I stepped into the bistro my senses were captivated by the garlic and ginger aromas in the air. Little did I know that was the stir fry I just ordered to go. As we chow on the pad Thai and stir fry, our senses were blown away. We were gobsmacked by the brilliant flavors we were savoring. I was expecting a standard middle of the road meal, but these mates crank it up a notch, that’s really good nosh!!
I ordered dinner on Sunday. They made lunch portion and charged me for dinner. They also said they are the same thooms restaurant as the other one, but the food doesn't taste the same. I wouldn't go again
I have been going to this place since I moved to the area 4yrs ago. They were recently partnered with another person. The sushi hasn't changed much, but they have now added a thai portion to the menu which I think is nice, and adds variety to the menu.

I am so ecstatic to find a good Thai place near home. The value is so good when including the taste. We will always come back here for Thai cravings!
One of my new favorite Thai spots. Their Tom Kha coconut soup is incredible, as is their Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle).
I've had three different Thai dishes were all delicious and generous servings.
First time ordered lunch takeout and family enjoyed it and service was great
Second time about a week later, the family decided to eat dinner in the restaurant but service was subpar and food quality was bad
Don’t know what happened between the two times, but family was completely turned off from this place
We are Thooms Alpharetta customers and we are really disappointed with the food. Calamari was terrible, the chicken texture in the panang curry was weird and the California roll was not good at all. There was just one person cooking and it was busy.
No way this is a 4.9 restaurant. As Asian food goes I’d rate it 3. The sushi was good so maybe just stick to that. The Thai dishes — meh. Moreover very pricey. With all the Asian choices in the Atlanta area you can do much better. Certainly don’t drive out of your way for it.
This place has the nicest staff and the best food you will ever eat!! I highly recommend the lemongrass soup but everything on their menu is sensational!!!
I am in love with this place. Never had bad time
Excellent authentic thai food, cozy warm environment! 😋
We were there for lunch. The service was good. But I found the food expensive for lunch.
The food was very fresh and flavorful. My very picky 5 year old ate everything and declared that she loved every new thing she tried! Service was friendly and fast . Any requests we made were handled promptly. Portion sizes were huge and definitely worth the price . It was wonderful to have a dining experience where everything was just as it should be .
Highly recommend the lamb chops, basil fried rice and papaya salad .
love the johns creek location! so good and great variety. the chef is super helpful and involved with customers!
I live down the street from this location but would occasionally visit the original location by north point mall.
Food is great. People are nice and friendly. It is our new regular thai place !
We didn’t expect this restaurant to have some of the best Thai food in the Atlanta metro area. The food is flavorful, spicy and authentic. 10/10 highly recommended!
Had the Thom Kha soup and spicy basil chicken - excellent. Really enjoyed it; very friendly service.
The food was tasty and fresh. We will back. Menu is large but both the Sushi and Thai food we had were delicious.
I've been craving good Thai food since I left Thailand. I ordered drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice . The food was excellent . The portions were great . I must say I felt like I was back on vacation . I will be back !
The food is amazing! We loved our Sushi, Spring Rolls, and Edamame. Very clean restaurant. Friendly staff. We will be back!
Food is OK, nice presentation, BUT certainly NOT Thai food. I had Pad Thai and it tasted like nothing. I'm very critical of Thai dishes, because I am Thai and we're a chef family. So....it's a no for me Bob.
Amazing food.
Too good to be true.
This is their second location. Their quality and overall delivery / presentation is SOLID. Top 3 Thai places in metro Atlanta IMO.
This place has the best Thai food around!! Check it out, I highly recommended 😋
