First time visiting this restaurant. I am a fan of spice and boy did they deliver. Everything was great taste and flavor wise. Service was slow and we did not get the salad with ginger dressing that was ordered (still paid for) but the meal was still delicious.

The crispy house duck was great and I requested hot and could have gone with Tai hot, and will next time. My son ate every bit of the curry beef.

Medium size strip mall spot, serving a fairly large menu of Thai food and sushi and Japanese appetizers. We tried the pad kee mao, red curry, and a sushi lunch special. The food was well prepared and had good ingredients, and the only complaint was that the curry flavor wasn’t super strong, and the tuna sashimi was the least preferred of the 3. Overall great spot for a casual lunch or dinner, and the prices are pretty good too.

The food is decent. However the service was terrible, was there for over an hour before getting my food. Also no mention of tip included and I tipped extra, service did not warrant that much of a tip. I wish I could have this food again it was genuinely good, however, the service was so lethargic that I would rather never go again.

If you're looking for authentic and affordable Thai cuisine and exceptional sushi, but tired of the same old chains, look no further than here. This unassuming spot, tucked away in a Pensacola plaza is a hidden gem that deserves far more recognition. Combine this with their excellent customer service, particularly from Sadie and Grace, and you'll find yourself returning again and again.

I ordered 2 hours in advance for pick up, and paid 90 bucks to not be acknowledged and not even be asked what my name was for the first 20 minutes I was in store waiting. Food is decent but they forgot half of it. All of the hot stuff was done and ended up cold since I had to wait 45 extra minutes beyond the 2 hours for the cold sushi. No apologies, no offer of a refund, and quite frankly I should have known by the lack of customers what to expect. I’ll never go here again. Could have made this myself in 1/8 of the time I waited. Paid an extra 4 dollars for fried rice I didn’t get. I also didn’t get any of the sauces I ordered

Great lunch menus. We had Sushi and Sesame Chicken off lunch menus and both were flavorful and good quantity. Our Waitress was friendly and efficient

I had the gator roll and it was delicious! Beautifully presented and stuffed with an ample amount of each ingredient that you can taste everything. I’ll definitely be back to try more things on the menu.

I’ve never experienced a more inconsistent restaurant in my life. Maybe it’s due to constant staff retention issues. No idea. We had to stop eating here because it’s 50/50 shot that the food will be good. When it’s good, it’s delicious. But upwards of 2/3rds of the time is not going to be good. Like at all good. I wish they would figure it out, when you have good cooks pay them more & treat them right. It’s a pattern. And ultimately not worth gambling $80 for dinner that might suck or might be good. Sad cause when it’s good it is my favorite curry in town.

Extremely disappointed in the service I received. I will say I have had one bad experience before, but i overlooked it and have constantly had good service since. The food, is honestly phenomenal. You can't get better sushi in Tallahassee. Thats why this is so disappointing, because after the service I had today i'm really not sure i want to go back. We came in for lunch, (which I have done several time in the past and it's normally very fast, on average 25 min there) expecting to have our order taken within a timely manner. it took close to 25 min to get our order taken. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and the server seemed to really take her time, and even seemed annoyed that we where bothered that it took so long. We implied that we where starting to get pressed for time, and she seemed to take longer. We came in for the lunch special, and it took so long to get our order that we had to get it to go, in which we where told that the lunch special would no longer apply. We didn't recieve our food until almost 45 min in, and I spent close to 40 dollars on lunch, to have to have my girlfriend eat it in the car. By the time I got back to work, I didn't have time to even eat it (half of it got thrown away, warm sushi is not the best) . We had every intention of eating there, but it took so long, I had no choice but to get it to-go. I understand if the server is busy, but there was hardly anyone there.
I would chose door dash, or pick up because the food honestly is very good. Definitely do not go at lunch, especially if you work and go at lunch.

Just moved to Tallahassee and am grateful my friend brought me here. I’ve been in search for a good sushi/thai restaurant and glad I finally found one. We ordered the Naruto, sashimi variety, sesame chicken and fried rice. Everything was superb, very fresh and tasty. Atmosphere was clean and I enjoyed sitting at the restaurants sushi bar. Looking forward to going back again!

I tried Thai green curry for the first time and it was delicious.

My first visit to this restaurant. It took an entire hour to fill an order having only 2 entrees and there were only several other customers in the restaurant. And to make matters worse, the food was horrible. Watery. Tasteless. And expensive. A waste of $70.

Our server Andrea was the absolute best! We had a fair number of modifications to our orders and she was on it. Everything came out so fast and was incredibly delicious, and we had a little bit of everything (spring rolls, curry, fried rice, soup, udon, sushi). She had our waters refilled even before we realized we needed it. She also had great dessert recommendations.
And the music was our perfect playlist, think early 2000s romcom soundtracks, very nostalgic.

I was married to a Thai chef for 25 years so I am familiar with Thai food. I love their Panang. This is the go to Thai restaurant for my significant other and me. Our server is always friendly. One complaint...no Thai beer, they need to get Singha.

Fine place to eat.
I tend to go there during their nice mid-week lunch special, or right when they open at 5 on the weekends.
I usually get the sashimi deal, which is very nice value for what you get.
recently i got the hot yellow curry platter, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

My family loves Thai food. We have eaten Thai in a variety of cities. We all agreed Royal Thai is one of the best. From the sushi to the appetizers and the main course the quality, freshness, taste and presentation was excellent. The service was spot on. This is a true gem in TLH. It's absolutely a must visit if you love Thai food and sushi. Plenty of parking and no reservations required.

Very disappointed and disgusted and never EVER coming back here again. This happened yesterday at 5pm right when they reopen I'm usually a regular customer here usually I'll place a to -go sushi order..... right when I'm about to finish my sushi rolls I find multiple stands of hair In my last two sushi pieces I Called the store was told that the manager will get in contact with me and it never happened. Honestly used to be a great spot but please be cautious eating here. Royal Thai & sushi you have not only make me want to never deal service here again but will lose more people if this unsanitary situation does not get resolved.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Went in for early dinner and they had about 10-15 customers including us. First the counter where we sat was super sticky. We ordered One appetizer, salad and two sushi rolls. The appetizers came out in 5 minutes. The crab Rangoon tasted like cream cheese on steroids and the salad was soggy with dressing as if it was sitting in the fridge already prepared and waiting to be served. We waited over an hour for 2 sushi rolls. Customers that came in after us and ordered cooked food got their food before us. I ended up being forced to pay for the crab Rangoon that we did not eat and drinks because I refused to wait any longer for 2 sushi rolls. If their sushi is anything like the establishment, I dodged a bullet!! You should too!

If you are looking for the most authentic sushi and Thai food in Tallahassee look no further! My husband and I love sushi and Thai food but we're never really satisfied with any of the restaurants in Tallahassee until we found Royal Thai and Sushi! The food is incredibly delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. Everything we have ordered has been beyond amazing! Just look at the pictures on their website, yes the food tastes as delicious as it looks!

Where to start.... one of the worst exp ever. Only one server and he was new so none of this should reflect him but took 20 mins to take drink order. Another 20 mins to get food order. Place was not busy. Took another 30 mins or so to get food. As far as food goes, I know Thai food, and this was not good. It had hints of the flavors I was looking for but overall bland. No spice even tho it was asked for. Eventually had to cancel order because we never received it. Only 4 of us. Really wanted thai or we would have left. There was not a single redeeming quality about experience. Maybe their sushi is why people go because I know it's not because of what we got. Will not go back. Oh, I forgot the thing that sent over the top for me, the rice. It was not jasmine. It tasted like regular long grain rice. It was actually steamed but it had the overcooked brown burns from the steamer.

Wow.. I went here on New Year's Day. The food was so good. And I found the Japanese beer as well here. The owner is a very kind and gentle man. The Thai foods over here taste so good.

Food is usually really great. My favorite is the trust me roll ($25 but worth it). I also like the pineapple fried rice, but the ginger sauce from the wok can be hit or miss. Sushi is always great though.

Food was great! We had Sesame chicken, Green curry, Chicken satay, crab Rangoon, Spicy Salmon sushi and Pad Thai. All were tasty to our palate. Ample parking available. I was surprised this restaurant was empty for a long weekend.

Really kinda terrible. Got off call at the hospital, wife wanted pad Thai. We ordered drunken noodles, pad Thai, shushing deluxe, and several orders of salmon nagiri and a Thai soup for take out.

Get the food home open up the noodles and i instantly knew we made a mistake, noodles were dry. But not dry like there wasn’t any sauce.

The pad Thai looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The rice noodles had dried out and looked like old rubber bands.

The drunken noodles tasted like the noodles were washed in recycled dish water and just tossed in expired peanut oil. Rancid.

The sushi was on another level of terrible. Salmon nagiri tasted like someone had sprayed cleaner on or around the fish. Almost like a detergent. The rainbow roll had old oxidized avocado, brown and filled with dark veins. The rice in the sushi itself had no flavor, but not in the way of tasting like nothing, it tasted as if the rice has been boiled in a large pot of water and it had been boiled so long that the rice had lost its texture and consistency and turned into rice mush.

Honestly a terrible experience me and my wife spent almost $90. Please avoid this restaurant at all cost.

Office staff has started a tradition of monthly lunch dates here to unwind. Red Curry and Thai Coffee is my go to. However, I think it is time to try something else.

Years ago in Tallahassee there was a place called Thai gourmet ; they had the best pad Thai ever!! They closed unfortunately, and I’ve searched around looking for a pad Thai that was similar to theirs. Dublin Ireland had a restaurant that was close, but now Royal Thai and sushi has finally re-created it!!! So good!! And Mia is amazing waitress!!😊 definitely will be back!!

Every visit they never disappoint. Friendly service, great servers, excellent chefs that also greet when they can. I've enjoyed curry chicken appetizer, fresh spring rolls w amazing peanut sauce, as well as Pad Thai and their sushi lunch can't be beat on quality.

Absolutely GREAT sushi and Thai cuisine!!! Some of my favorite rolls are FSU, Gator, Volcano, Paradise and Miami rolls! I have tried many other sushi restaurants in and out of Tallahassee and no other restaurant carries these creatively designed and exquisitely tasting rolls! Also, many other places have really small rolls for the same price! Here, you get a great bang for your buck!

For an appetizer, everything is great but if you want to try something novel, try their curry puff.. It is shockingly wonderful and super flaky! Definitely give it a try if you're into curry flavors. It comes with a light flavored cucumber and red onion salad that blows my mind everytime!

Also, I can't finish this review without talking about one of my favorite entrees there.. The Masaman curry.. It has such a rich flavor that isn't too rich to gobble down in one sitting.. 😂😂😂

I ordered the Pad Thai and it came out more like pad see ew, not the noodles, but the sauce. The pad thai came out soupy, I've never had it served to me that way. Their choices of mild medium spicy also wasn't appealing.

The sushi chef is so divine....Micah and the crew were oh so sublime...the sashimi is the best in town....and their steamed dumplings ooh la lah...every dish is better than before...lest we forget their Mongolian 🍖 damn what a treat👍

Pad thai was made with the wrong noodles, didn't have the proper flavoring or consistency. Sauce wasn't good. Also ordered some sticky rice and mango which seemed to be made with some creamy alternative...how disappointing. This restaurant does not know how to make authentic Thai food. I shudder to think of the freshness of the sushi 🤢

Waiter forgot to ring up an entire entree. Additionally, I had to ask for them to put tempura crunch on my roll and the waiter gave me a hard time, walked to the sushi maker who also happens to be the manager and came back saying it doesnt come with the roll. I literally had to ask for the menu, open it up and point to where it said TEMPURA CRUNCH ON TOP. After he gave me back the roll he said “don’t worry about it the crunch is on the house”. Ive never experienced having to argue over getting my food served like it states on the menu. When we finally realized that the waiter fully zoned out when taking out order and missed an entire entree we spoke to the manger about how we waited over 1.5 hours and even referenced the entree when the waiter was filling water and he said oh yeah but must have been ignoring us again and he said that he could ring it up now but we would have to pay for it! Just completely trash customer service, steer clear of this place.

Manager is extremely rude. Food is not worth the price or wait. I recommend Bahn Tai or Sakura over this mediocre establishment.

Location: The place is located in a convenient spot. It is clean, and so is the restroom.
Service: server was attentive, kind and really quick with everything.
Food: O.M.G the Pad thai is the best, I had the mild heat and it was the perfect balance of heat and the noodles were so delicious. The chef should never leave, he knows what he is doing back there. I also ordered green tea, which was tasty.

Ordered delivery and it took 2 and a half hours..called the store and got hung up on...food delivered cold with no napkins or soy...would not recommend to anyone.

I ordered a Florida roll, salmon roll, and Thai tea. My Florida roll had hair in it, so the server took it off my check. I discovered the hair halfway through my rolls so I stopped eating the rest my sushi immediately after that. I wish the salmon roll was also taken off my check though, because why would I continue eating off the same plate after finding the hair?

The Thai tea was incredibly sweet, so I diluted it enough with my water to basically make one drink turn into three.

Also, we were charged a 20% service charge for a party of 5. I’m not sure if that’s typical since I thought it’s usually parties of 6 or more that incur a service charge.

Our server was very nice and I do not blame her at all for any of the issues we faced tonight.

We come here often and love it. The grilled salmon curry, the cashew veggie or chicken, and the Mongolian beef are especially tasty! This is our favorite take out place.

I just walked inside a minute before the restaurant opens and I was refused service, simply because they weren't ready yet. Staff wasn't friendly and seemed confused that I was inside their establishment. I just wanted some sushi, so I'll be a patron at the sushi restaurant across the street from now on.

My friend and I went here once after class for lunch. I got the pad Thai and she got some sort of rice dish. My dish was ok at best, and hers was alright. I also got some sushi to go and it looked much worse than Publix sushi! Also the decor was, well, confusing. It looked like they had barn doors, chains, and red paint (in the shade of blood). Maybe try someplace else.

so delicious, and really great portion sizes! we ordered the pad thai, thai curry puffs, chicken spring rolls, miso soup, and thai donuts, and it was all excellent! the chicken spring rolls in particular were really, really tasty, and the thai donuts were the perfect little dessert to end with after a big meal. the portion sizes were really great for the price, I had enough of the pad thai leftover to take home for lunch the next day, and it reheated really well. definitely coming back here!

Would absolutely recommend. The servers are extremely friendly and the owner, Kresna, always says hello. The atmosphere’s energy is great and you can tell the food is prepared with care. This is a splendid restaurant run by honest and kind people.

Waited over an hour for our food to come out. Waitress was very apologetic and nice. She tried to help any way she could. But as we sat and waited we noticed the sushi "chef" was taking shots with other employees and customers. Would not recommend coming here unless they fire him and hire someone competent.

When I first tried this place, it was a good experience. The food and sushi are always so good but the service truthfully is the worst. When I go there, there isn’t a lot of people so it’s not a full-house. However, me and my boyfriend would have to wait for almost 10 minutes for a server to greet us and bring us the menu. And we can clearly see them just talking to each other and being on their phones, like there isn’t costumers waiting to at least be acknowledged. I like the food here but it’s just really disappointed and frustrating how idle the servers are.

I’ve been here a couple times and the quality of the food is not matching up. I ordered some sushi and some basic fried rice to go and it was not up to par. The fried rice was some of the mushiest over cooked rice I’ve ever had and I would never expect mushy rice of that quality from an Asian restaurant. It was extremely greasy and overwhelmed with soy sauce as if I was given old rice that was just thrown back on the stove and they added more soy sauce on top. I could not even eat a spoon of it. BIG red flag if you can’t cook some fried rice. Don’t know if it’s because it was later in the evening but I had to come say something.

Ordered the shrimp pad Thai to go and received 6 pieces of shrimp. It was a lot of noodles and not a lot of shrimp. I Can’t say it tasted bad but I paid 15 dollars plus tip which is a lot for a college town. And this was one of the cheapest items on the menu.

pretty rude to me when i asked for shrimp sauce, had two different workers come up to me about it and i felt very insulted and talked down to. medicore sushi very expensive, don’t waste money here

Great food & staff!

Had the lunch special Mongolian beef & fried rice at medium spicy. A bit hot at first but the rice got that under control. Tasty!

I've been here a couple of times now for lunch on a weekday. The food and service have been excellent. Highly recommend the wok garlic sauce with chicken or shrimp.

The duck absolutely snapped! Plus the portion size is large, so i had another meal to take home with me! This is my new favorite Thai restaurant in town. The Thai tea is also delicious. Lovely ambiance and fantastic customer service — you’ll feel like you’re anywhere but here. Headed back RIGHT NOW.

absolutely the worst Thai I have had while traveling. Had pad see ew-no flavor and had Krapow and it was sour tasting-clear indication of spoiled food..could not eat either..if I didn't get delivery I would have sent it back and left.

Small place with great food. I wasn't sure about this place as.it.is.new, but my husband wanted to try it...and I am so glad we did. It was great!. I recommend this one.

The food was very fresh & tasty. Their establishment was not very busy on a Sunday, which is a plus for us - HOWEVER..... surprisingly the service was not good. We went after Church with a larger group (12 of us) and one of our families of 3 left before their food was ready because it took an extremely long time for our food to come out. It appears that the waitress was new at serving. Although she was sweet as pie, she failed to provide the appetizer plates we asked for & apologize for the inconvenience of the long wait time. It also appears that the kitchen & chef need to properly plan for their restaurant to be busy & be able to provide better service & allow themselves to cook for a larger capacity because their dishes are delicious. Our family of 4 aren't sure we would return a second time because we have 2 younger children, ages 5 & 7 & waiting that long to eat is not practical for us.

Best quality sushi in Tallahassee for the price and they finally have alcohol now after having opened their new location on Pensacola St! A must for those who love sushi and the thai food is very incredible as well.

Excellent food and outstanding service. Krishna, David, and the staff will take good care of you. Try the Paradise Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Massaman Curry, and the Sticky Rice with Mango (a delicious and beautifully presented dessert). You can't go wrong!

The wait was long and the food just ok.

The owner came out and literally asked for my business. I went ahead and ordered the Philly rolls and was not at all disappointed the young man Chris who worked the tables was polite and attentive. I will definitely be back and I will also recommend this place to friends and family 😇

Best place for asian vegan food! Not just optional vegan substitutions, but actual vegan entrees! Got great service here as well. Definitely coming back!
