The place is elaborately designed with wonderful artwork and figurines. I felt like I was back in Thailand. Food was very tasty. This will be a regular place for us.

Tonight was our first visit and we LOVED it! The inside is open for dining and charming. We ordered the spring rolls, Tom Kha soup with tofu, and the red curry with chicken. Everything was delicious, superb dining. The broth for the soup and the broth for the curry were both delectable. If I was a local, I'd be eating here regularly.

My family and I love this place! We haven't had a bad dish. Their food is consistently on point and super yummy, even when it's takeout. Staff is friendly. Prices are extremely reasonable. We love dining there!

I got pineapple fried rice, and a spicy Thai salad with beef called “yum nua” both were good, the chef brought them out and made sure we liked everything and had everything we needed, the waitress was attentive and very nice, my wife enjoyed the pho noodles, said she appreciated they cut the tails off the shrimp. My only criticism is the a/c could have been colder but maybe it’s getting fixed or something?

Ordered Pad Krapow and pad Thai. The krapow was very bland, pad Thai was sweet but not a lot of flavor. Not authentic Thai food. Waited a few minutes to order another beverage but by the time the waitress came to the table she had the bill in hand so we just paid and left. The acoustics are so bad we had to listen to the people in the booth behind us as if they were sitting with us. There has to be better Thai food in south Sarasota.

My favorite place to go an have drinks an food the food was so mouth watering.! The service was so amazing an food was so flavorful I would recommend the appetizer sampler that was my favorite an the spicy beef was out of this world

Had a bad order of tom kha and TWO bad orders of noodles. Meager portions and the chicken was more like jerked chicken. What a disappointment.

Wish I could find Thai food like theirs closer to Lakewood Ranch, but every time I’m craving a great Pad Thai or Pad Woon Sen, I have to drive all the way to Gulf Gate for a night at Thailand (or anytime I’m down that way I try to have lunch here). I’ve been enjoying their meals since 2005 and they still never disappoint.

Tasty food, generous portions, reasonable prices. Elaborate booths. Relaxed service was friendly and efficient. Small staff easily handled the light crowd. Default spice is mild, but they will increase heat on request. Ingredients are fresh and flavors excellent. They have nigori sake.

Old style ornate Thai with partly curtained booths obviously loved by regulars. The wonton soup full of fresh vegetables, home broth and full of beautiful fresh vegetables was a star surprise. The watery broth in the vegetable pork looked boring as 1950’s chop suey, but in one bite was yet another healthy surprise of flavors that surpass the usual strip mall Chinese bottled sauce of excess oil and salt. It is a hidden gem for those in the mid county area of Golden Gate. Inside is very attractive and food was delicious. Christine our server was great. OS try the Fried Bananas

Absolutely loved the food here. Being from the Chicago area and an avid Thai food lover, this restaurant definitely is my top choice in terms of Thai cuisine. Christine is incredibly nice and funny, the service here was very quick, and they were able to accommodate our dietary restrictions. Kudos for being one of the only places open on Christmas! Would recommend to anyone in the area, and the restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous.

I have been dining regularly at Thailand for over 25 years and have recommended this place to hundreds of people who rave on about how great Bangkok is. A staple dish with every meal has always been Golden Crab. What I was presented last night was fried flavorless cream cheese in a pork rind. Hot garbage. 7-11 would be embarrassed to serve that.

First time customer at this very beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious. The service was excellent and Christine was very nice to us crazy looking musician guys. Would highly recommend this place!

It was an evening with friends that suppose to be very nice and pleasant, but unfortunately rude and impudent water made the evening nothing but pleasant and nice. On a request to replace dish we did not order she started to scream and make everyone in restaurant very uncomfortable, We did not feel welcome at all! Never ever we were treated like this low. This is absolutely unacceptable and person like this should not work with people.
We would never ever come to this place again. If I could I give minus stars for service like this!

Best Thai food in the sarasota area! Their Tom gha soup incredible! I'm getting over the flu and I would like to thank this soup for helping! (Get it a little spicy!) Thai tea is perfect! And I've only had chicken dishes but those were also superb! I love this place!

We love Thai food and haven't been able to find a Thai restaurant in Sarasota that can compete with our favorite place in Ohio. We had dinner here this evening and we are so glad we did. The food was so fresh and delicious. We started with the spring rolls which were perfectly crispy and the veggies were very fresh. My husband had the Thai Cashew Nut with shrimp and I had the Pineapple Curry with chicken. We highly recommend both dishes! My husband doesn't like anything spicy and he could order his dish just as he liked it. My curry wasn't overly , just a nice touch of heat. Our waitress did a fabulous job and was very attentive. We are thrilled to have this place right in our neighborhood and we will definitely be going back again.

Don’t be fooled by the sign! The inside is beautiful and the staff were very friendly on account that we came in 30 before close. The atmosphère was amazing with a quite dining experience for those who don’t like the hustle and bustle of busy restaurants, I would recommend going between 11am and 2pm for the lunch hours.

Ordering since 1st yr it opened back in 2004 stopped going tried several Thai rest. Bangkok became our favorite but after owners son left we noticed huge downfall slowly went back to Gulf gate Thai, the after Cov they really stepped up and ate the best around. From Tpa to Venice this place has best food around.

Coming from NY/NJ area and finding a place like this here is gold…pho combo is awesome! Also tried the curry, drunken noodles, pad thai and bun bo hue, all did not disappoint. Try it!

I've been there before and have loved their food but last night we ordered Tom Yum Soup and Red curry chicken. It was terrible. No flavor except sweet and it's not supposed to be sweet. Very disappointed.

Don't try the Bangkok shrimp. They were so tough They were like chewy rubber. There is no excuse for a restaurant to serve such trash.

Excellent Food! The Pad Woonsen was as good as I hoped. The satay, fresh spring rolls, bubble tea and desserts were all delicious, I look forward to trying the Pho next. The service was ridiculously slow though, so I’d recommend getting take out.

Never had a bad meal here. Been going here for over 10 years and still come back once a month or so. Only thing I'd say is don't ever ask for "thai hot" stick to very hot or it ruins the after taste.

This evening we met friends at one establishment to celebrate both our sons graduation from high school. We had a bad experience trying to be seated, so we left and called Thailand, a nice young woman answered the phone. She kindly said she would take our party of 5. She explained that she was the only one working and would move as quickly as she could. She was AWESOME! Very friendly, while obviously working very hard, efficiently doing multiple jobs at once. The chef came out and helped her a few times with the delivery of food. Everything we had was perfectly prepared and delicious. Vegetable fried rice, shrimp fried rice, veggie summer rolls, shrimp summer rolls, tofu pad puck, tom yum seafood soup, a veggie pancake, and a couple other items. We all appreciated the freshness and abundance of the vegetables. We are grateful to have had such a wonderful meal with excellent and kind service. We will remember graduation dinner fondly! Thank you! We didn’t catch her name but she knows who she is, working on a Sunday!

Sad news... After so many years being their customers we have to stop eating there. We used to go there specifically for a crispy duck and it's always been delicious. We often took their our guests and friend and they always were very happy.
This time it took an hour to have our order served. We've seen other people - eight at least - leaving the restaurant after nobody took care of them. The ducks were not crispy at all. The ordered beer was marked "Best by Oct. 2019"... True, we've heard a regular Sorry for the beer but that was it - no replacement offered, no regret shown.
We'll take a long pause now before going there again if ever at all. Meanwhile we'll have to find another place to have a Thai crispy duck. Recommendations are welcome.

Food is mediocre at best. The pork, chicken and duck were very dry. Nit impressed and will not order again. The best food item we had were the pork spring rolls. Bland in spices. Will not go back again after wasting $60. But everyone has their own tastes and opinions.

My family and I were on vacation for my mother in laws birthday. We ordered take out, when we got back to the hotel the food was nasty, didn't even look or smell appetizing. The chicken, shrimps, pineapple, rice, vegetable was stale and raw. $35 went down the drain, it was a complete waste. I dont recommend this place for anyone.

Who knew there was a gateway to Thailand not too far from I-75? In an unassuming strip mall you'll find this delicious destination tucked away and after eating there you'll wonder why there aren't a thousand people clamoring to get inside.

The interior is detailed in Thai wood art and architecture, with cozy booths and quite intimate lighting that may take a little time to get used to. Takeaway menus are available right inside the door (in case you want to study the dishes for later).

I ordered the Thai Duck Curry with coconut boba/bubble tea and wow... what a worthy investment. I easily made two meals out of the portions, and loved the flavor more with every bite. They give you the option of 4 distinct spice levels so don't be afraid to come, your face doesn't have to melt if you don't want it to.

The service was fantastic, super nice and love when you're happy with the meal. They offered more jasmine rice than I knew what to do with which makes me really feel cared for, guaranteeing my return in the near future as if the food wasn't good enough.
