This is where the misses come...the sesame chicken just comes to you soggy. The chicken is lightly breaded but it's so thin that it just becomes a soggy flappy breading piece of chicken, also note that their sesame chicken is more on the savoury side and not sweet like most places. Bourbon chicken wasn't bad but it wasn't a hit for me...The flavor was good (like the mall bourbon chicken) but the chicken is cut in thin pieces and they become a little bit tough (not big chunks like the mall which keeps it moist).

Just to touch on the egg rolls as I see people mentioning them. They seem to be home-made. The are super crispy and flavor wise, are tasty, but it is severely lacking in filling so you get a lot of the wrapper skin to filling ratio. Tastes good but could be much better, especially since it looks like they make them in store!

Ordered take out Sesame Chicken combo. This came with fried rice and an eggroll. The chicken was so breaded and dry it could break a tooth. I have had better microwave rice but it was ok. The eggroll was the most disgusting thing I have ever had. It looked like it was breaded and refried it was really weird. I took 1 bite and spit it out. WTH! This was so bad it was scary. I pray I don't end up sick from that 1 taste even though I spit it out. The whole meal went into the garbage can. Where they get the good reviews from I have no clue. I can not stress how bad this food was. Go to McDonalds it safer than the crap I was served.

I have been going to this restaurant for about 3 or so years. Its the only Asian cuisine restaurant we go to. Having lived in NH for some time, this food is what we knew and loved. Some of the freshest takeout we've ever had. And the staff are friendly and recognize their regulars with friendly smiles and conversation. Even if we moved, we'd likely drive back here when we could.

We ordered a variety of appetizers, soups, and entrees for carry out. Everything tasted great. The Thai Red Curry was the best we've had in Sarasota.

Everything I wanted and needed for getting hot chicken noodle soup for my granddaughter who was not feeling well. Service was excellent, his recommendation was thoughtful, the package was in my hands and I was out the door in good time. I will return.

From the minute you walk in the door-- you can tell it will be good!!! Greeted immediately. Dining room spotless -- tables and chairs were solid and in great condition. A walk to the bathroom finds that the cleanliness and eye for detail carries thru. NOW-- for the food -- EXCELLENT. Had the chicken and shrimp supreme.... Everything was fresh and hot. No "mud vein" no fishy taste-- vegetables were colorful and crisp. I travel a lot for my job-- and Chinese/Asian food is hit or miss....these folks HIT IT BIG TIME!!! They also offer a wide variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free.

This is our "go to" restaurant for Asian food when we decide to get some great food quickly at a perfect price and bring it home. Ready for pickup 15 min after you call, perfectly packaged and you are eating immediately after you get home. I don't think you can do better.

I hate leaving negative reviews but negative experiences warrant sharing with the community. Prices were 15% higher from what they show on website to when you arrive to pay. They didn’t want to honor price to which they advertise, per manager/owner. Got home orange chicken was soggy and seemed reheated. Lo mein noodles $2 up charge for tiny portion. Disappointed all the way around. Take down your website or fix your prices, but don’t mislead customers with prices. I will not be back to this establishment.

We arrived around 6pm and found they do take out and dine in and had enough seating to accommodate about 30 people. There was a lot of take out traffic but it didn't disturb our meal.

The staff was very friendly and our order was prepared quickly.
The food was very good with generous portions, too much for anyone to eat all of it. The Kun Pao Chicken was $12.99 and included an egg roll and pork fried rice.

I will definitely go back there the next time we're in Sarasota.

For takeout this place is decently priced, food is one of the best in Sarasota and if you're making large orders they have always given me a box and made everything easy! They stock with sauce without asking (perfect) and the thai curry is one of my favorites.

I am a foodie. Love this place, I love Asian food. This is the real deal, great food, best egg rolls I have ever had and I make my own. All around a winner and yes we will be back.

This place managed to rip me off and humiliate me in one step. I paid for 2 dinners and waited in store. Food was ready and they said to pay again, I said I did and they argued and created a scene, I paid AGAIN called the next day and they did not fix the error, so will never go again.

Big fan of this restaurant, have tried it twice now. I recently picked up the roast duck, beef Thai curry, and pork fried rice to feed three people, and we all agreed- everything was incredible. Zero complaints! The food isn't overpriced, and it's much better than most other Asian restaurants I've tried in the area. The staff is friendly too, it's a nice little local joint. I'm excited to come back and try more of their menu.

Ordered the orange beef. The beef was not crispy, the sauce watery and not orangey at all and no spice whatsoever. When I ordered I asked the woman on the phone if it would be crispy and she said it would be. The sauce with this dish is typically thicker and doesn’t make the beef soggy. Also, they charged us $5 more for our orders than online menu price including tax. Never going back. Husband got a refund. I’ll get something else somewhere else.

So far Ive tried the orange chicken, chicken fried rice, 3 meat fried rice, krab rangoon, sugar donuts, and the pork mi fun. All of it was hot, fresh, and very filling! I cant wait to come back and keep trying more dishes. If you're looking for quality chinese food in Sarasota this is the place to go.

The food was nice and hot but it lacked flavor. There was hardly anything inside of my egg rolls. Just a big roll of fried breading. The price is too high for what I got it should be half the price.

Not your average place. Everything from your typical Asian favorites to Make-Your-Own Stir Fry to unique dishes like Grouper with Eggplant there’s literally nothing you can’t get here. Large portions with really friendly service where even the chef will check on you and say hi! This is now my top recommendation to anyone who’s in the mood for some great Asian food.

Juice was all over the paper bag, and leaked put of the plastic bag and went all over the floor in my car. It made the egg rolls and crab ragoon soggy. After calling the manager, he refused to compensate us and was rude to me on the phone. Terrible customer service. Order from someone else.

I love Chinese food and grew up in a town with over a 70% Asian population. I was famished when I stopped here for lunch. The food was fried in some kind of strange tasting grease, the sauces were off, and the General Tso's chicken was way too spicy. I felt so bad for not liking the food that I just tossed it and walked out without mentioning it was not good.

First and last time ordering here. I ordered the cream cheese wontons and received fried wontons with a "type" of meat in it. Definitely wasn't chicken nor beef. I also ordered the shrimps and scallops. My bill was a whopping $29.94 for only 5 shrimps😐. The restaurant is hot inside due to them having the a/c turned up high instead of down low. Avoid this place. It's a waste of your money. They'll most likely be permanently closed within the next 3 to 6 months

Very average in my opinion. There are better take out options in the area. We ordered 6 different items. Two were not expected to be spicy, however they had an odd type of heat that wasn't pleasant. Other dishes were ok.

This is my wife's FAVORITE Chinese restaurant in Sarasota. While I won't go so far as to draw the same conclusion yet, it is particularly excellent. The service was spectacular with amazing food that currently has no equal elsewhere in Sarasota County. Try all the other places around town and then come to this little gem of Sarasota. If you're visiting, don't bother going anywhere else for Chinese food, if that's what you're craving.

My favorite dish is currently the grouper and asparagus. Oh, they have brown rice and will make your fried rice from brown rice if you'd rather have this healthier option. Let me not forget that my wife's favorite dish here is the braised duck.

Guy seemed nice and the food was very good until my husband found a small cooked roach in the food. We called to not make a scene and he told us to come inside to show him so we did and I respectfully went on the side of the place for no one else to see and he claimed that the picture wasn't the same as what was in the box that my husband put aside which we showed him as well. We didn't even eat half of our food, our bill was 2 lunch specials (20$ w tax) for both and he said he'd give us 5$ because it was almost eaten which it wasn't. we told him keep the 5$ because his attitude was firm that it wasn't a roach. Every other Google review I've done as been only positive, I've never (except this time) have posted a negative review. I hate to waste money on food that wasn't eaten because of a valid reason other then the taste. Gross.

My 3rd return to Asian Kitchen. Why? BECAUSE THE FOOD ISN'T GREASY and the GENEROUS portions. I'm talking about 11 dumplings in the Won Ton.

Everything was very fresh and the server, who I also believe is the owner, was friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely go back to try the crispy duck!!!

First time ordering here, I highly recommend you don't! I rarely write reviews but the food here is terrible. Sesame chicken was overcooked and dry, with a "sauce" that was basically flavored water. The chicken lo mein had very little flavor, Ramen from grocery store has more flavor. The "fried" rice is disgusting, nothinh fried about it. Looks like white steamed rice with a few bits of stuff stirred in. You've been warned! Go somewhere else.

i ordered a beef and vegetable... there was no meat at all. The shrimp and lobster sauce... very soupy.. i know the shrimp & lobster sauce is supposed to have a thickness to the sauce. I am really disappointed actually, because this place has a high rating. I hope they do something about their food.

Maybe a bad night but... Soggy sticky Chicken Fried Rice. Please go online and get a better recipe. Egg roles tasted super fishy like they are fried in grease used for fish. Chicken balls were good and Spicy Beef was good. Unfortunately, this one is off the list for future orders.

Apparently was good previously, but the food isnt good now. NO SAUCE visible on the food. Have to use packets of duck sauce or something for flavor. Not worth it, go somewhere else.
Two stars for the portion size, ease of ordering and covid-conscious precautions they take. Sadly if the food isn't good,the rest is for naught🤷🏽‍♀️

My first takeout order was excellent! My second trip I ordered Beef with Broccoli, not Broccoli with Beef. This container was full of broccoli sprinkled with carrots and a little beef on top. The second item was Pork Fried Rice. The rice was greasy with barely any pork. The third item was shrimp with lobster sauce. It tasted as though shrimp was dropped into egg drop soup. The wonton soup was tasteless. I am very disappointed. Great food and customer service was what I paid for and expected. I enjoy good food. That did not happen this evening. Going back to China 1. It is a little further from where I live but I get what I expect, real great tasting food. I called to relay my disappointment and there was nothing but silence on the other end. I know good Asian food. Perhaps the cook had a bad day. But, I cannot see myself buying bland food with all vegetables and no meat to speak of. There was hardly any sauce, in the Broccoli with Beef. It was pretty dry. Well sorry to say I will not return nor will I return. The honeymoon is over. I am done. I cannot justify recommending this place. :-(

We have been getting take out at the Asian Kitchen for at least several years now and have never been disappointed. Excellent selection of chinese cuisine. Vegetables have always been fresh as well as all the meat, seafood and tofu. You won't be disappointed!
