Embark on a culinary adventure to Thailand without leaving North Fort Myers. Pu Thai Restaurant invites you to savor the vibrant flavors of authentic Thai cuisine, prepared with fresh ingredients and time-honored techniques. From aromatic curries to tantalizing stir-fries, Pu Thai Restaurant promises an unforgettable dining experience that will transport you to the heart of Thailand.
Very good food! It was our first time here so we had to try an appetizer and some Thai tea and a bubble tea, which both were very good. Service was perfect, she let us know about the lunch special which includes a soup or salad as well as a main (+$1 if you add rice). Paid by credit card and was charged $1 for it, seems cheap from the owners to charge that when we spent over $50 on a lunch. Also didn’t see that posted ahead of time otherwise this place would be five stars.
I ordered Duck Padtai $25.00 a plate and a Honeydew bubble tea. The waitress was very informative since this was my first experience with Thai food and also my first experience trying duck. I’ve never had duck before, but I felt like it was a little too dry. Maybe deck is supposed to be dry? The atmosphere is calm and quiet. Peaceful.
My first visit to Pu Thai changed my opinion about Thai restaurants in Cape Coral. Until I ate at Pu, I was quite sure quality Thai food didn't exist here. My wife and I shared two appetizers, lettuce wraps and Thai wings, and both were very good, especially with the sauces. My entree was chicken cashew (heat index of 5/7), and my wife chose basil chicken (not spicy due to her medical issues). Both were excellent and the serving size was large enough for next-day leftovers. We'll be back.
I visit this restaurant quite often as they serve my favorite childhood dessert, sticky mango rice. However, after my last two visits, I feel compelled to share my experience.
The last couple of times I dined here, I noticed there was a new server. She is very sweet, clearly still learning the menu, and appears to be unfamiliar with some of the dishes, which is understandable as she seems new to this type of cuisine. During my first visit with her as our server, it was evident that the owner or an older Asian lady in charge was frustrated with her. We could hear how she spoke to the new server, and to be honest, it came across as unnecessarily harsh. We tried to be understanding, but throughout our entire dining experience, the owner continued to be rude to her.
Our second visit was tonight, and we were happy to see the same server was still there, which was a relief as we hoped things might have improved. We were greeted by her, and her kindness was evident once again. However, the owner took our drink and food orders, showing no smiles and rushing through the process.
When our food was delivered, the new server helped by placing a bowl of pho on our table. What happened next left us feeling shocked and uncomfortable—the owner yelled at the server, making it clear that she was displeased with how the dish was served. The new server, remaining graceful, apologized to us and didn’t argue back. Even as they walked away, the owner continued to scold her, saying she should never place a dish on the table without announcing its full name. The yelling was so loud that it was impossible to ignore, even from across the room.
This entire situation turned what could have been a pleasant evening into a sour experience. It was incredibly upsetting to see someone treated so poorly and made to feel humiliated. The server’s efforts and apologies were not only graceful but undeservedly met with rudeness.
I left feeling disgusted by how the new server was treated. This behavior from the owner is unacceptable, and unfortunately, it has made me realize that it might be time to find a new go-to restaurant. No one should have to witness or endure such treatment.
Amazing Pho and mango sticky rice! Can't wait for our next trip here!
Best Thai food around.
poor service. A woman from the counter came to my table with extrange behavior. Moving her mouth left to right. I won't never go back again. Unhealthy food. It make me sick.
This used to be a fav place for me and a friend. I think there have been new owners for a while.
Food quality has gone down to mundane (ok, but not worth the trip if there is a closer Thai restaurant).
Customer service was atrocious. In front of a group of about 8 people, who had just come from a business presentation, the server and then a manager YELLED at me.
I paid for my meal with a debit card. They got their money right away. Yet, they demanded I sign something.
There was no reasonable explanation. And there was no warning on the menu that a signature would be required to pay by debit card, as there is at some places when an extra charge is added for using a card.
I do not know why they were yelling AND refusing to let me leave. I refused to sign, figuring they might be ID thieves.
It was weird. I use the card at Publix and other places and no signature is required.
Were it not for poor customer relations, I probably would not have written a review. I assume many people enjoy eating there and do not have this particular problem. However, since there menu says, in effect, "we will give you food and you give us money," and then, after the fact, they add post-meal requirements that were not negotiated, I thought you should know.
Outstanding and authentic Thai cuisine. Super nice owners!
Tried Pu Thai for the first time and it was delicious! We had Chicken Pad Thai & Pork Pad Woonsen. Love the flavor & spice level. Will be back!
Food is overpriced and #39.00 duck is not good at all, everything else mediocre at best

Everyone at the table enjoyed their entree.
Eggs-cellent
Use to frequent thi resteraunt use to offer
lunch specials that were very economical. Prices have doubled in the last couple of months making this resteraunt less desirable.
Great service, food arrived quickly. Very enjoyable dinner.
Friendly staff the duck was great beef lo main was very good too.
The best green and red curry at Cape Coral
Fantastic food, great setting and friendly staff. Great pad thai and curry dishes. Abigail was friendly and helpful!
Best Thai food I have had in the area. Fresh and tasty. Check it out!
Had the beef pho and it was so good. I had the hot broth and it was delicious. Next time getting the very hot.
I lived many years in Asia and had many trips to Thailand. Pu Thai is one of the more authentic Thai Restaurants around. We drive from Estero to enjoy their food
I actually come here for the Sashimi. Limited but awesome! The sushi rice is also tasty I get it on the side. Abby served me twice and she’s awesome. Her positive energy and knowledge of the menu is outstanding.
On Wednesday, I found this little gem when I had to go to the UPS store. If you know me, I can never turn down Thai. I wasn't 'big' hungry, so ordered Thai Spring Rolls, Beef Salad and Tom Kha Soup. Everything was fresh and hot, even when I arrived at home. I ordered medium spice level since I'm not familiar with this restaurant and I think I can comfortably bump it up a level next time I return.
I also ordered the Beef Phò for the next day. Phò is one of those power soups for whatever ails you and a comfort food for me. Their soup did not disappoint.
Looking forward to trying more on the menu and making Pu Thai my go to restaurant when I'm in the area.
This place has the best pad thai I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend checking this place out!
Our first time at this restaurant and I must say it was DELICIOUS! We will definitely return. Highly recommend
Great, authentic Thai, creative menu, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. Best Thai around!
Not Thai food, tastes more like Chinese food. Maybe the sushi is better
I love thai food and was excited to try this place based on all the reviews. The pad sew-ew which I get everywhere was not good. It tasted more like chinese takeout than traditional thai. I would not go back here.
Last order I ordered HOT chicken pad thai and got no spice at all. I ordered tonight VERY HOT and got no spice at all. It is so mild I would feed this to a baby. I called and was told that they cooked it right and I am incorrect. I eat thai food often and this happens to be my favorite dish. If anyone's child is hungry I have a full meal that is not what I ordered and is childproof. If anyone wants to be gaslighted, order here- that is the only thing I am full of tonight. The 3 stars is because my family liked their mild green curry and I'm not completely savage...just hungry and upset.
Delicious and wonderful
Not for me
So my husband & I found this place online while looking for sushi spots. We went in, the girl with the blue hair was very helpful & sweet. She catered to any of the questions we had and helped us navigate to our taste!
The food was the main problem for me; $12 for 5 coconut shrimp that mind you they were good, but felt as if it was just overpriced frozen food. The sushi was pretty expensive for kind of lack luster quality, there was nothing really special about any of the meals we got. We got the Drunken Noodles which were okay but flavor didn’t deliver as much as I hoped. At the end I had ordered a Taro Boba tea which the flavor was great! Unfortunately the boba was almost gritty and kind of hard(due to the type the restaurant gets shipped in).
The restaurant was dim & was very close to other tables to where I could clearly hear conversations overall just not what I was expecting, especially after how much our total was. Our total was $75(before tip) for 1 small app, 1 noodle dish, 2 basic sushi rolls, and 1 small boba tea. Nothing was necessarily “bad”; I have no problem paying good money for good food, but quality just didn’t match the price.
Simple Family owned Restaurant. Their Thai rolls are superbe! It’s one of my regular restaurant now!
I'm a Thai lover and this is the best place to go in Lee county.
Thai cuisine is my favorite. I have been to hundreds of Thai restaurants across many states. Their food is without a doubt the best I’ve EVER had! Started with lettuce wraps. Entrees were squid basil, chicken basil and chicken cashew. All had a thick flavorful sauce (so many other places are thin and bland). They also know the spice level when we said “thai hot”!
Our server and owner were very personable and attentive. We will be back!!

I love this place! The food is so delicious! We frequently go here. I highly recommend the crispy duck! Yum!
Most of our dishes were good but one person's beef and another's chicken were overdone and tough. Staff was playful/enjoyable. We will try it again.
From our friendly, well educated server Abby to the food, everything was exceptional. Definitely will be back…
I got a carry out of Pad Thai with shrimp after their lunch rush. It was mostly noodles and very thick sauce and hardy any vegetables. The shrimp added were sufficient. So it was not worth the $20 spent.
It was a wonderful experience. Friendly people that work there. The service was good and the food was really, really good. I will be back soon.
Got chicken padthai and mango sticky rice. Was delicious.
Had dinner there last night. The food was delicious and our server was so sweet and courteous. We had green curry with duck and padthia shrimp. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! Will definitely return soon.
Best Thai food in town. Most amazing flavors and service. All around great restaurants.
Very clean, professional and friendly but best of all was the quality of the food. Had an amazing lunch (chicken Laab & Tofu Pad Thai) served up fast, fresh and steaming hot!
Love this place...Get the crispy duck fried rice or the seafood pho...Terrific...
I really enjoy this place. The service is great. The staff is very knowledgeable on the menu. Love the varying spice levels. We took our son who is less adventurous on food and he really enjoyed it. The lunch specials are the perfect midday portion sizes.
We walked in and requested a take out menu. The hostess was very gracious. The menu was extensive but we decided on pork fried rice and a chicken with mango curry.
It was our first time here so we were not sure where to go after we reviewed the menu. A server graciously pointed us toward the counter where we could order and pay.
Our food was ready within maybe 15-20minutes, if that. When we got home and opened our to-go bag, we discovered that the food was meticulously packed and still very hot.
I did not realize until I took out my bowl of curry that I had truly never had curry before. It was heavenly. I did not add any "heat" to mine and kept it mild. That did not take away from the delicious spices blended in the curry. I would definitely return again and recommend this place. I now want to try all their curry dishes.
My husband had the pork fried rice with chicken and seemed to fully enjoy it.
What a fantastic eating experience. The food was fast and amazing. Best pho that I’ve had in years.
Good Thai! Nice service, pricey...
Just went here yesterday! Everything lobster is amazing! Calamari is perfection and their Boba teas are delicious!
Pu was so sweet and you can tell she really takes pride in her restaurant. When you walk in the doors, your mouth will begin to water with how amazing it smells in this place. We were greeted by the nicest hostess/ waitress. Everything in this restaurant is perfection!
I had a wonderful experience at Pu Thai. The food was absolutely delicious. I rank the punang beef 9/10. Most places ask for a spiciness. A little more spice is nice. Flavor was spot on, just wish I had more. I also had the tom kha chicken soup which was delicious. The mango sticky rice, was as good tasting as the presentation was beautiful. The mango was perfect and the orchid a nice touch. So delicious.
I’d give 3 1/2 stars. I ordered the Red Thai Curry. Serving *size* was much smaller than other Thai restaurants in Fort Myers/ Cape (IMO). However, the *taste* was great.
One of the best places to eat around here. Absolutely love the curry and sushi.
Good was fresh and taste was amazing!! Will for sure dine there again.
Meant to write this last week but got busy.
Excellent food and service! Met Pu the owner and she was delightful!
Will be back again!!
Very good food! It was our first time here so we had to try an appetizer and some Thai tea and a bubble tea, which both were very good. Pu Thai = Poo Thai
Delicious! Everything is made from scratch, right down to the ketchup! Ms. Pu and Patrick put their heart into their menu items. It was our first time there as we are new to the area- will def be back. Abby was very friendly. Restaurant is clean. The only negative is the lighting- blue lights inside make it difficult to see your food and read the orange menu.
Love this place we all go here a lot and abby is knows us now. Great food
Peaceful.
Resturant was clean. Food was decent, edible, but definitely lacking flavor. Waitress was very friendly but misinformed what was in a dish. I dislike restaurants that pass on credit card fees to consumers especially when you charge more than the average Thai restaurant to begin with. I spent $76 at your place then you're petty enough to tack on CC service fee. No thank you. I'll find a more appetizing Thai restaurant, that appreciates my business fully.
Very good
No complaints whatsoever. Change of name but menu has expanded and is as good as ever!!!
We lived in Malaysia for 4 years and traveled to Thailand a dozen times… so of course we have eaten a ton of Thai/Asian food. We love this place. Amazing food, people and relaxing atmosphere.
Formerly Phensri Thai, this neighborhood Thai restaurant was my favorite place around for authentic quality Thai food. It was recently taken over, and the name changed to Pu Thai. I was a little hesitant to try eating there after the takeover, since the menu changed to include all sorts of other Asian food. In my experience, this usually means that they do many things in a mediocre manner, instead of focusing on one style and doing it well. Unfortunately, this is the case with Pu Thai. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and asked for it spicy, which is my go-to favorite. However, the dish was in no way spicy, rather it was very salty and bland, and the noodles extremely mushy and overcooked. The spring rolls were soggy, greasy, and tasteless - I would wager they came from frozen premade stock. Perhaps I will try them once more, maybe the cook had a bad day, but I was definitely disappointed that the old restaurant was no more. I feel that they would be better off sticking to one style and doing it well, rather than try to do every kind of Asian food and lacking the flavor it's known for, especially since there's both a Chinese and a Japanese restaurant two doors down that do execute their dishes well.
i never write reviews but this was best service i've had in a while. the red head is the absolute sweetest as was the manager. they were very attentive despite having multiple people coming in at once. very friendly atmosphere. the gyozas and the pho were soooo good.
Service is great. The crispy rice is very tasty. The curry is yummy! The atmosphere is serene.
UPDATE: I've been coming here for the last year and it's better every time. The crispy duck curry (red is my favorite) is my comfort food. The shrimp are cooked perfectly. Every dish I've had has been delicious and crave worthy.
Changed owners July 1st, and they are improving the space as well as the hours. Best Thai donuts around! Good portions, wonderful food, friendly service. Everything was delicious- we tried the pho, green and red curries, and the pad thai. They have a kids menu as well with chicken or shrimp tempura.
What a horrible experience!
We came to this restaurant because of the reviews. We ordered a Tom yum soup, which was fine and the fried tofu as well. The main dishes (CLASSIC THAI FOOD): pad Thai and tasted terrible, very small chopped noodles. Disgusting! My husband had the pad kee mao and it tasted like vanilla flavored flower. Both with beef meat, it was like stale meat (weird) flavor. We were looking for that fresh and explosive Thai flavor and we didn’t have it. Try another Thai place!
Amazing rolls, very nice place.
Excellent dinner. I had the chicken red curry and my wife had the shrimp pad Thai; best Thai food! We will be going back again.
I just ate lunch here just now. I had the Pad Thai with chicken. It was steaming hot and as delicious as any I have ever eaten. I have tried a lot of different Thai restaurants over the years, and they all are fairly delicious, but Pad Thai is not an easy recipe to get perfect. But the Pad Thai I just had here was absolutely perfect. I can't think of any way it could have been any tastier. I haven't tried their other stuff, so I can't comment on anything else. But if their Pad Thai is so outstanding, then I imagine the other stuff must be excellent too. Also the tables and chairs and floor and everything around you there is so outstandingly clean. Simple yet very clean and comfortable. Price seems to be spot on for food of this quality too. And they have a lot of seating available. I count (12) tables for four, (1) table for six, and (2) tables for two. The tables look like they could be easily moved together though if you had a larger group.
Best Thai food I have ever had!
Lovely little Thai restaurant. Very excellent curry, incredibly friendly staff.
Authentic Thai dishes, friendly service, and clean restaurant.
Great food we all enjoyed our dishes Franco our waiter was excellent good experience
The pad thai was delicious, and the salad was noticeable fresh. They were not serving sushi at the time, but I'm not sure why.
Pad Thai amazing, had it at hot, will try Thai hot next time. Food has great flavor. Service is top notch. Had fresh roll appetizer, very fresh. Nice change for palette.
The food here is dynamite but the staff is not equipped to handle the amount of people. Some of them are very inexperienced and some of them are incredibly rude. The food is absolutely amazing though... I just wish they could get things a little more organized.
Yum!
I had been to this restaurant many times for dinner, but this time I had a terrible experience with the server. I arrived at the restaurant around 2:40pm, not knowing that it would be closing at 3. The server still take me in, but the way they treated me was incredibly rude and they seem eager to kick me out. If they wanted to close, they should let me know so I could have gone to a different place for lunch.
The restaurant was warm, service was very slow and the food was avei. Won't be going back.
Food tasted old
The best Thai food I have ever had! And the sweetest service, too.
The Pad Thai and curry are fantastic, and the Thai tea is amazing (you know it’s good if you could just order a drink and be happy!). I’m so sad I don’t live in Florida, because I want to eat at Pu’s again NOW.
My favorite Thai restaurant and I’ve tried most places in the adjacent area.
Todo súper fresco y demasiado bueno , la atención de primera
Authentic Thai food! The flavors were wonderful! Great service! Can't wait to go back!
We ate here about 2 months ago and the food wasn't good at all. The shrimp appetizer came out raw then the fried fish literally had no seasoning. The waitress couldn't speak any English and the other waiter had to come over to help her. Nice restaurant but terrible food!
AHMAZING FOOD. For dinner I got the mango curry with brown rice and for the dessert I got mango sticky rice. Everything was so good.
We had a gastronomic feast here. We'll be back, with friends. Highly recommended.
Excellent Thai food. It's a medium-small restaurant modestly decorated. I tried the spring rolls, miso soup, and basil stir fry with chicken. Each dish was great. The soup and basil chicken were particularly excellent. I ordered some Namsod togo as well, which was just as good. I eat a lot of Thai food, and this is higher quality for sure. This place isn't as lavishly decorated as some Thai places, and the food isn't overly garnished as many Thai places are. The food has as good, if not better than most, food quality and flavor. Pricing is very fair for the portion size. The dining room was not packed, maybe 4 tables total. It was being handled well by one server who was friendly and efficient. If you are in the area it's well worth the stop.
Excellent. Have eaten there many times. Never been disappointed.
My New FAVORITE restaurant! Love at FIRST BITE! Beef salad AH-MAZING! Krab Rangoon….the best I’ve ever had! Staff was kind and attentive! Go TONIGHT!
Great variety. Good daily specials. The staff was attentive to our needs. We celebrated a friend's birthday
We have eaten here before and lived it but tonight was a terrible experience. We were the first table seated and we watched as table after table received their food, finished eating and paid their check before we were served. What a shame because it really ruined our opinion of this establishment.
PU Thai is a gem! We absolutely love it. Family run, authentic Thai. They have some items on the menu that I have never seen in other Thai restaurants!
You Must try their Crispy Rice with Salmon! It is a delight to the palate. My favorite dish is Crispy Duck Pad Thai.
PU herself runs and owns the restaurant. She is a remarkable person ❤️.
Out of the world good! I had the green curry with shrimp and medium heat. There were 8 large shrimp! The vegetable fried rice was delish also and so was the gyoza!
Great Thai! Great service!
EXCELLENT food and EXCELLENT service! High quality ingredients. Everything is very fresh and delicious! We found our favorite Asian restaurant! Thanks for going above and beyond.
Food and service is amazing!
Delicious, and great service! Tasty spicy salmon roll and great beef salad!
Delicious food and great service! We got 4 dishes, and they were all fantastic. We’ll definitely go back.
good Thai food
Yummy. That's really all I can say. The pho is good. Noodles are good. Appetizers are good. They are consistent with their food so I keep going back.
First time dining here after several friends recommendations...
ordered appetizer steamed Gyoza Pork...entrées Panang Curry and Pad Thai...all were DELISH...the only negative was the skimpy portion of Panang Curry...if they had added another half to the portion received it would have been the perfect amount.
So happy to welcome Pu to the neighborhood! The food is exceptional & Pu's service is friendly & efficient. We will be back!!
Excellent Thai and service is always great!
Best Thai food in the area by far, already craving my next dish. Owners were very friendly and a low key atmosphere.
This was our first time having Thai food and we couldn’t have picked a better place for our first experience! Friendly staff and amazing food! We’ll be back!
Good
Amazingly good food made fresh to order. Lettuce wraps were delicious and the steamed pork dumplings are incredible. The taro bubble tea is very smooth and flavorful. I recommend ordering it with the bursting bubbles. Pho was much larger than expected and had plenty of meat and toppings. Curry was very flavorful and had a good amount of vegetables and roasted pork in it. I ordered it hot and it was perfectly spicy for my liking. Sauce wasn't overly coconutty either. White rice was very good as well. Perfectly cooked and just the right amount sticky.
A group of 5 went last night for dinner. Started with NamSod and it was delightful. I had Masseman Curry and again, it never fails. One guest had A shrimp dish she raved about and another had the Pad Thai. Pho was another guests entree. Dessert was tempura ice cream for three and the fourth had fried bananas. The bananas should have been served with ice cream was her only let down. But in honesty the offer of adding ice cream was made by our server. Our server was so polite I had to ask him to stop calling me sir as I was not as old as he guessed. Lol. Very clean restaurant.
Really good food. Great delivery experience. Will definitely be ordering again!
1st time there yesterday; wonderful experience. Fresh spring rolls (made to order) were great. Larb chicken salad was tasty - a little salty for me; but delicious nonetheless. Very neat, clean and pleasing decor with nice video’s showing cooking techniques plus various places around the world. Service was excellent!
Amazing flavor and excellent service!
The food is pretty good, but the delivery options are a deal breaker. We have had an issue ordering every time, and they won’t take orders over the phone, only through their buggy website that won’t recognize the information you enter. The only other delivery option is some 3rd tier App instead of one of the common delivery services everyone else uses. It’s been enough trouble that we’ve stopped trying to use this restaurant.
Food is absolutely delicious and love the Mango Coconut Curry. Yummy!!!
The food is delicious and with a large variety. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and I couldn't recommend more.
A little pricey but worth it. Great taste offering from traditional to unique Sushi combinations not seen before. Highly recommend.
We ordered the Red dragon roll and the Thai Wonton soup, both excellent! Best tuna sushi on top, tempura shrimp and cream cheese inside, with red cavalier on top.
Worst experience ever!!! This will be my last time coming here. This will be my third time coming here. First two times was ok. This time was horrible. I came in last week on a rainy Tuesday. It was empty I was craving some Thai food so I decided to stop by after work. I was seated by a nice gentleman who was at the reception desk. The waiter came to greet me and take my order. . She was very nice... so I was patiently waiting while the young gentlemen was in the waiter teaching her how to run the computer and what not which was very nice of him just trying to make her feel comfortable I thought that was very sweet of him.. then the manager came out talking down to him telling him not to teach her this and that and saying it's too much information she won't be able to learn etc.. that made me feel not at all comfortable but whatever... I ordered a hot sake/water, steam gyoza for appetizer and a pho noodle bowl . The gentleman bought out my sake and warn me that it was very hot and to be careful. Then the waiter came with my steam gyoza. The plate didn't look very appetizing nor was it hot . I know it wasn't the waiters fault but I sent the plate back because it was cold and not hot. The manager proceed to asked her why I sent it back she said cause it wasn't hot enough for her. So she goes in the back and started talking loudly to the cooks in the back Which made me feel uncomfortable cause i sent the plate back. A new plate came back an it was the same thing cold not even warm. So the gentleman came and apologized and took the plate back the manager then yelled from afar saying to me " ITS STILL NOT HOT ITS CAME FROM THE STEAMER WHY ISN'T HOT WHY DONT YOU EAT IT. So I turned around and told her I'm not trying to cause any problems but I'm not happy with this at all. I don't want it anymore. So the gentleman came to make sure if I was ok I told him I'm fine please cancel my food order and I'll just pay for my hot sake because all this is making me feel very uncomfortable and I don't like the vibe in here please just give me my check. Gentlemen kept coming back to apologized and i told him it wasnt his fault. Manager came a little bit afterwards aaking me why i dont want the soup and its ok its jsut a mix up. I told her i had to go so she gave me the sake on the house i left a $7 tip even though i didnt have to but its the respect and effort the Gentlemen and waiter put into that made me leave a tip. I felt bad telling him that because it was no one's fault but the manager she is not at all professional and needs go learn how to talk and respect her employees and show them the respect that she wants when they talk to her .this will be my last time coming here. . Please learn how to talk to people and stop favoring the clientele everyone should be treated equally . This is my experience and there for i will never return back here.
It sucks! We waited for 2 hrs. Drinks and appetizer came but not the entrees. Other people that came after us got their orders and already left and we were still waiting for our order. Server said they had to do the take out first before the dine in orders. That’s not fair. We were there first. This happened before the previous management. I thought it would be better with the new management but still the same. WON’T RECOMMEND! The other customers from the other table left too because they’ve been waiting for more than an hour too.
Fantastic food, amazingly friendly staff. The mango sticky rice and Pad Kee Mao keep me a happily returning customer time and time again!
The food was exceptional and the service was great. Loved the Iced Thai tea and crab racoons... The shrimp green curry was amazing. Would highly recommend this restaurant. 😊😊
Lettuce wraps, Tom yum soup, tuna tartar, panang curry, green curry, and cheesecake rolls were all delicious! Nothing was bad! I will be returning!
Very good food & service! Also, enjoyed White sangria!
DELICIOUS! I had the red curry shrimp with mixed vegetables and a ginger salad. Amazing flavors, great service and good size portions. I could only eat half of my curry and saved the majority of my salad and half of the curry for tomorrow😋 I did take out, but the restaurant was very nice and clean. Highly recommend!
Greatest time of my life
Good food, great staff, very clean, reasonable prices.
We have dined at Pu Thai several times, both for dinner and lunch. The food is outstanding - fresh and authentic. The portions are perfect, ample but not too much, and the pricing is very fair. We've enjoyed in particular the fresh rolls, calamari, Thai rangoons, eggplant lover entree and seafood pho - and the crispy duck in particular is incredibly good. We find the quality of the food consistent, and the owners are most hospitable and helpful. We love this new Thai restaurant and will continue to visit regularly. We also like that Pu Thai takes reservations.
WOW, some of the best Thai food around. Food cooked to order. I don't mind the wait cause the food is Great...
We stopped here on Christmas evening after our original dinner plans were thwarted. I guess you could call it a little Christmas magic because this place was fantastic.
The service was friendly and attentive. The food was great and everyone cleaned their plates. I had the chicken fried rice and it was so tasty. I also tasted the coconut milk curry and I will absolutely get that next.
Everyone in our party thought the food and service was outstanding. We look forward to returning soon.
You need to try this place.
Good
Food was excellent, service was horrible.
There were many people who came in after our sitting who got their dishes before us and were done and left before us.
I asked for Jasmine tea and got this huge bag of tea in my glass which made my tea bitter. Later the waitress brought me my Jasmine tea.
The food is excellent.
This is a MUST if you are craving Asian cuisine. They have some of the best padthai and spring rolls I've ever had! The owner is super sweet and helpful with the menu and is super efficient. I have started the routine of going there on my days off to at least indulge in their Thai iced coffee with cream which is TOO DIE FOR! Trust me! Come here and you will not be disappointed.
Always delicious food here!
Loved our meals! Not cheap and dinner portions with no leftovers but it is very good. We started with the lettuce wraps. Filling was very flavorful. I had the entree of tofu with ginger sauce. There was plenty of tofu, good fresh vegetables, and a delicious sauce. My friend had the shrimp entree with basil sauce and reports the same satisfaction. Entrees come with sides of white rice, brown is an extra charge. Food is fresh, high quality, and excellently prepared. I will be back!
Everything was very tasty and fresh. Great service too. Definitely will return.
We had a mixed experience at this place. We ordered takeout - green curry and pad Kee mao. The food is delicious. The green curry was a touch sweeter than usual but still tasty. The noodles were quite oily, cooked more in a Chinese style than actually Thai, but were palatable. We had a bad experience at the front desk when picking up order. The lady was extremely rude - don't know for what reason. I saw here behaving nicely to dine in patrons, but it flipped completely when dealing with take out people. She was ordering us as if we are 2 year old kids in a day care - asking us to stay in a line, pointing us where to stand, where to go next. It was horribly demeaning and hilarious at the same time. While their food is awesome, I wish they pay similar attention to their staff.
Like many others said the atmosphere is amazing. It is quite peaceful and the lighting in store does a great job of creating a luxury ambience. The staff is very friendly and they really do take the time to help you through the menu. Unlike many places where the staff only speaks to you when it’s time to take your order; the staff at Pu Thai acknowledge you from the moment you enter until the time that you leave. Of course that wasn’t the only thing to rave about the food was even more mesmerizing than the customer service. I ordered Mango Curry and Pu was very agreeable when it came to veganizing my orders. There was no fuss around my vegan diet and there were many great selections to choose from. The flavor of the food is honestly better than any Thai place I have ever had. Mind you I am a incurable foodie, and have been to many Thai restaurants, but Pu Thai put them all to shame (even Thai places in Orlando). I’m not sure how they achieve it, but the flavor harmony is something I have not seen at any other restaurant either Thai or not. It seems the chef really knows their way around the kitchen creating flavorful, fresh, well seasoned and very authentic food. If you and your group decide to go try a new place try Pu Thai. You will not regret going there and you probably won’t want to leave without three or four takeout boxes.
Mango Curry description:
The curry is extremely creamy, it’s almost as if all the milk in the world was put in there. The mango was a great complement to the curry and really added savoriness to it. I asked for mild because I can’t really handle very peppery food, but the amount of pepper that was in the dish was just enough to balance out the sweetness of the mango and what might have been the saltiness of the curry. There was tofu in this dish and it was very well done. The tofu was not soggy, but instead slightly crisp on the outside and chewy towards the center all while maintaining some good flavor. I simply cannot overstate the seasoning, even the tofu was well seasoned. That is a rare find normally tofu is unseasoned and bland. Should you decide to go, and you’re not sure what to try the mango curry (vegan or not), and their in house Thai tea(very creamy and strong flavor) would be my recommendation. Thanks for reading.
New Pu Thai Restaurant (where Phrensi Thai used to be) has the freshest, most delicious Thai food (my favorite food)! And they can convert anything to vegan. I can't seem to upload my photos. But I really loved the perfect duck salad $9.95 as well as the Chicken Eggplant Lover's Entrée $13.95. My wait staff was Pu, the owner, and her husband and mother are the chefs. Can't wait to come back with my vegan sister,
but I might still have to get this duck salad. Oh, my! p.s. The Sauvignon Blanc was delicious and $6.50.
BIG CITY QUALITY, HOME TOWN CHARM. My thoughts of Pu Thai as I ate my first meal were, “wow, this is what I’d expect to find in downtown Chicago or Miami, it’s so good!”
The reason for that, it turns out, is the family that owns this location used to run a big city Thai restaurant. It’s no wonder this place is such a gem in North Fort Myers!
The staff are extremely friendly. The owner, Pu, is a gracious host and makes you feel at home in her restaurant. Her chef, who I have not met yet, is equally amazing in their craft. The food is cooked to perfection, EVERY TIME!
If you love good Thai food, try this place.
Excellent food. Plenty. Enough to doggie bag leftovers.
Pleasant staff. Memories of Thailand.
The service is fast and great. The owner is very friendly. The atmosphere is open and cozy. The foods are excellent. I ordered Thai tea, wonton soup and stir fried eggplant with minced chicken. Oh wow, they are soooo good!!
I can’t wait to come back and try other stuff!
They even serve Sushi!
I think this place is the best in town!
I highly recommend anyone to try!
Great food. The Pad Thai, red curry, and spring rolls were excellent. We had prompt delivery from Menufy, and look forward to dining in the restaurant next time.
Clean area, friendly service, and great food. Hubby had pineapple fried rice and I had chicken pad Thai with appetizers of fried wonton with chicken and vegetable springrolls. Waiting time a bit long on main entrees, so order an appetizer, which was quick. But understandably, since this is a small mom and pop restaurant. Food was worth the wait.
Having eaten Thai food in Cleveland on a regular basis, we were very impressed with the excellent preparations for the pad thai, green curry and duck fried rice. Definitely our go to place for Thai here in Cape Coral.
