Love the fact they have an option for Brown Rice although its the same Chinese restaurant type Brown Rice all the others have. Still a nice Touch.

The Paid Thai -
Ordered it Spicy. Was not too spicy. Taste was on point. Was delicious actually. My only complaint was the lack of Chicken and lack of Vegetables. Taste wise, one of the best in the area. Would prefer a side of Thai Hot Pepper Seeds with it. Should of asked. Very Tasty Noodles also.

Pineapple Curry (Chicken) -
Ordered Medium, was too spicy for my wife (She's a light weight) but she LOVED it.

Amazing (Beef) -
Ordered Mild. Was VERY VERY VERY Peanuty. My wife thought a bit too much so. I rather enjoyed it.

Dumplings -
Different. Small Portion. Tasty Dipping Sauce that was better then Traditional Chinese Style Side Sauce. The Dumpling was VERY Tasty but VERY Small. Portion Size was underwellming.

Volcano Meatballs -
NO. These didn't taste very good to me.

All in all, there are not a lot of good Thai options north of Tampa. This one was pretty good and will be our Uber Eats Thai go to for now.

I decided to ignore some of the reviews about flavor of the dishes and ordered pad Thai on Ubereats, but I wish I listened to the reviews... I was happy when the items arrived extremely hot even after the 30 minute drive for delivery and was even more satisfied when I saw the portion size, but the pad Thai had 3 pieces of chicken in it and was mostly a noodle bowl. It didn’t taste like much even when I asked for extra sauce (based on reviews stating dry delivery orders). Not terrible, but I wasn’t able to finish my food.

The glass noodles were perfectly cooked, and the salad was bursting with fresh herbs and a zesty lime dressing. Everything we ordered was underwhelming. My son, who can normally demolish sushi, didn't even want to finish them (Yummy and Crunchy roll). The panang chicken curry was so watery and lacked the usual panang taste. Additionally, there were only a few pieces of chicken. The pineapple wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I'm glad I got to try this place finally. But disappointed by the quality of food for the price that I paid.

This place was delicious! I got the duck curry and it was phenomenal. The family is so nice here, very welcoming and accommodating. 100% authentic thai grandma cooking in the back. Everything made to order, very quickly. We will definitely be returning!

We have been broken hearted and desparate for really good Thai food since Sukho Thai closed a few years ago. But we have found a new go-to Thai restaurant . They are missing some of our old favorites but the menu has plenty of good choices. We ordered several dishes for takeout and everyone agreed that the food was delicious 😋! And they didn't forget anything in the to go order, which was packed carefully. We are so happy to have made this discovery and will definitely be back.

I just got a lunch special pad thai with shrimp and I'm mad as hell because it cost $26 for 2 orders and the container was damn near empty! What a rip off! NEVER and I mean NEVER order the lunch specials there! I'm still hungry as hell after eating something that should have been called a Kids special 🤬

Got carry out from this place for the first time last night. It was delicious! My order was ready when I arrived. Reasonable prices for generous servings. I highly recommend the potstickers. We got pad Thai and teriyaki stir fry, and have enough of both left over for a small lunch today. Next time I will call to place my order, as their online ordering via menufy.con charges $1.75 service fee.

Decent Thai food and sushi. We ordered some noodles and sushi for take out and they tasked very decent. Good option to have when you are craving some Thai food in the lutz area.

Ordered a few things and a thai tea, most of it was delicious!! However, I chose “crispy chicken” for my meat and the breaded chicken was not good. It was very soft and soggy— consistency was just like that of frozen microwave breaded chicken meals I’ve had before.

Normally I like this place but today the service especially the manager Apple just was not on point. Food was sub-par very, very, very, disappointed. The pad thai tasted like they had thrown a whole jar of cayenne and the crab Rangoon were over fried and the peanut dressing was just horrible

This place is such a gem and great find. It's quaint and tucked away in a quiet area in lutz but it's above every thai place I have been to. The panang curry was very nice and I could taste the coconut 🥥. And their appetizers are delicious and diverse. Some things on the menu I have not seen at other thai places. It was exciting to try some new stuff. It's also so clean and up to date decor inside the restaurant. I loved coming here and server was so sweet. This is my go to thai place now.

I should have tried this place long ago. Hurricane day so we decided to get lunch and was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I had the lunch specials her which included sound and a spring roll. She had the amazing tofu ,I had the Thai basil fried rice with chicken. The vegetables was perfect being still crunchy but not raw. The flavors are nice n fresh. My spicy crunchy tuna roll tasted fresh as well which means the fish didn't taste like bait like bad sushi does. Will put this in the rotation for sure.

In search for sushi, I did what any foodie would do, search sushi in my apple maps. Hungry and overwhelmed with all 3 choices in my area, I scanned the menus. After much care and consideration I chose Thai Cafe Modern and placed an order online. Taking it home and surveying the boxes with complete excitement, I began to dig in. My mother basically inhaled her massaman curry and saved the rest for lunch the next day. I on the other hand was here for the sushi! Each piece of sushi a soft, fresh, well formed bite of deliciousness! The crab rangoons were also quite delectable with a sweet runny sauce for dipping. Much fresher and not nearly as much oil as some other local Asian restaurants. The only thing I would change is adding finely cut fresh scallion to the filing and perhaps more krab. Other than that, my hunger and satisfaction levels have soared through the roof. Thank you for blessing my belly, my taste buds, and my heart with this yummy food <3 p.s. I ordered spicy salmon not spicy tuna but it was still good tho!

Got basil thai noodles with beef mild. Way Spicer than it should have been and barely any meat found. Paid 16$ for a limited enjoyable meal.

Food portions was great but the taste lacked that authenticity I've had at many other thai places. Server seemed a bit confused with what she was doing. I may be back if I'm in the area but not worth to go out of my way for.

Food was okay but the person who was on the call taking orders was not able to communicate properly and charged me extra for everything which we didn’t even ask for .we ended up paying 50$ for a soup and fried rice which only fits the portion size for one and extra that was charged for vegetables and extra tofu that’s not even included in the take out .

Ordered 2 sushi rolls and edamame. The server was very nice but had considerable difficulty understanding order. Both sushi rolls came COVERED in spicy mayonnaise. Not drizzled - literally covered with tablespoons of mayonnaise. I re-ordered without any spicy mayo, and was then served the blandest sushi I have ever had. Publix sushi knocks this place out of the park and that is saying something. Ended up paying for both sushi orders, making a basic lunch order over $60. The edamame was overcooked, over salted, and just not good. Was hoping to support a small local business, but wound up with a comedy of errors. We unfortunately won't be back.

Update June 2022. I’m a little disappointed now. They went up on their pricing by 50% from just a week ago. Typical order $13 now $19. Unfortunately, due to the drastic price increase I won’t be visiting unless the price drops, especially when only a few others restaurants in the area have increased their prices, and just by a slight bit. ☹️

Excellent. My partner picked up a to-go order and it was fantastic. We tried a dew different things, sushi, Thai fried rice (with a kick), dumplings, & egg rolls. We enjoyed all of it!

Absolutely delicious and very vegan friendly! Came here on a whim with my husband and we left very happy with the food- the veggies and tofu were fresh, the rice was cooked perfectly, and the service was spectacular. We ordered the veggie panang curry, Thai Basil (with soft tofu), the veggie cashew nut, veggie rolls, and mango sticky rice. Highly recommend!

I ordered chicken teriyaki with rice online but came with salad instead. I called and they said there was a glitch in their online ordering and it wasn’t suppose to let me order rice. Did not offer to accommodate the order I made and paid for on their website.
The chicken teriyaki portion was super small and 3/4th of the plate was a basic salad for $12. Also ordered crab fried rice which was good. Although I would highly recommend Thai Sweet Basil in Carrollwood over them hands down for quality and quantity of food.

I should have stayed away coz two months ago I ordered pineapple fried rice here and they called me 15mins later tell me it’s no longer Available and that was that. They are not at all customer centric.

Pad Thai was gross. So dry that the noodles were a brick stuck together. For the price I’m very disappointed.

Twice I’ve ordered, both on a delivery service. I don’t live far from the location so that’s not an excuse, but both times I’ve gotten the pad thai and it’s the worst I’ve had. I hate complaining but for the price I’m a little annoyed. The noodles were so dry it was as if they were prev made and reheated. Edible, but not good at all. Sad because the next Thai place is not for miles. I’ll stick with pizza.

The Thai restaurant that I loved in New Tampa retired, and I needed to find a new one. I’ve tried so many different Thai restaurants but could never find one I loved, until I found Thai Cafe in Lutz. I am now obsessed. The chicken pad Thai is amazing, the flavors and the quality is outstanding. The Lava drops rolls are so delicious and have become my new favorite sushi roll. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very, very good! We have had a very difficult time finding a good Thai restaurant in this area. We have now ordered twice and both times we were pleased with the food. Ordered Garlic Pepper Chicken and Amazing Beef. Both dishes were exactly what we wanted and we will definitely return! The only recommendation we have for them is to put more sauce on the dishes. Both entrees tasted great but not enough sauce to cover the ingredients over the rice. It won't stop us from returning as we will just ask for more sauce next time. They were very friendly and willing to customize our orders. We really hope that they stay in business as we plan to be regular customers!

My first time ordering from here, so I wasn't sure what to expect. My mom is from Thailand and owned several thai restaurants in Tampa, so I'm very picky about my thai food.
Anyways...Food was delicious! I ordered the Thai duck curry, and the teriyaki chicken.
Good flavor, and good portion. I definitely recommend giving this place a try! The price was very affordable too.

I'm not an expert in Thai food. That being said, the pad Thai had a descent flavor with minimal veggies. I would have enjoyed more more sprouts/veggies. The chicken was minimal for an $11 bucket of noodles, and it was dry. Either overcooked at the order or something that was pre cooked and heated up when the noodles were made to order. The egg rolls were descent. The suite location in the shopping center is notorious for small quick serve restaurants that usually do not make it very long. Parking is limited due to it being sandwiched next to Beef's and and Gmnastics facility.

This place was delicious! I got the duck curry and it was phenomenal. The family is so nice here, very welcoming and accommodating. 100% authentic thai grandma cooking in the back. Everything made to order, very quickly. We will definitely be returning!

I am vegetarian and came for lunch, we ordered Thai teas and Amazing Tofu and Tofu Panang. Everything was excellent. The soup and spring roll was yummy. The service was very friendly and great. It’s a Clean and nice place. We will definitely be coming back.

The food here is so delicious! My Husband and I split the pork amazing and it was just that! Amazing! Everything was! The coconut soup and egg rolls were also so yummy, and my kids inhaled their fish and chips while mumbling through full mouths "this fish is good!"

Finally, a Thai restaurant in Lutz that really does have good food! Very friendly,. nice service as well (take out). Ordered Garlic Pepper Chicken and Amazing Beef. Both were great!!! Also ordered Shrimp Pad Thai..okay. The only concern I have with this place is we never know for sure if they are open as hours don't match what is posted. I hope that they stay in business because we will become regular customers!

First time at this Thai restaurant. Food was delicious and staff was really friendly. Definitely returning. We had the vegetable pad thai and chicken pad see ew!

We have gone twice. The food was scrumptious both times. Service excellent. The location is a new one for this enterprise, and it is a bit hidden in the corner of the strip mall in Lutz. So no crowds yet, but when the income picks up, new lighting would enhance the dining environment. Right now, the lighting is just cool ceiling fluorescents, so not the place for your romantic anniversary dinner, but I still rate it 5 stars for the food and service.

I had the Miso Soup as a starter. Great taste and lots of fresh spinach in it. For my entree the Red Curry. It was a excellent! Very fresh veggies and spicy as requested. The decor is a little spartan, but the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I’ll be back to try the pad Thai and spring rolls.

The food is great and so is the service. Great local place. We go there once to twice a week. Try the red Currie it is so yummy.

I have to say I found my new favorite Thai restaurant! The food at cafe modern plus is fresh and authentic! My whole family loved it. The service was great and the food was amazing. I would recommend for any Thai and sushi lover!
