A wide range of Asian fare from sushi to Thai in a strip-mall eatery with a sleek, urban look.
I recently dined at Le Shio restaurant and was blown away by the fantastic food they offer! From the comforting egg drop soup to the flavorful chicken dumplings soup, every dish was a delight to the taste buds. The spicy tuna roll was a perfect balance of heat and flavor, while the pineapple fried rice and chicken fried rice were both incredibly satisfying.
Although I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, I must mention that the utensils were not as clean as I would have liked. However, this small hiccup was overshadowed by the impeccable service and inviting ambiance of the restaurant. Overall, I highly recommend Le Shio for anyone looking for delicious Asian cuisine with great service and atmosphere.
My order wasn’t tasty one day and I let them know it was well over cooked then my next order had a staple inside my rice. I’m glad I saw the staple. Has Anyone else experienced any issues like this or similar? The Service used to be great but now there’s starting to be issues.
Food was good, looked like a nice place to eat. Ordered take out online though and it was a bit chaotic. I was standing with multiple other people who were waiting and started getting impatient because they were there waiting for 30+, while their website stated it would take 15 mins. They also tried to give me the wrong order. There is room for improvement, both with their website and the organization of their take-out process.
Le Shio is conveniently located in the Fairfax shopping center, accessible from 202 both North and South bound. My wife and I have had sushi rolls for take out from here twice, so my experience is only with their rolls
The price for the roll size is middling, but the quality of the food has always been quite good. We have enjoyed the California, Philly, Twin Tuna and Blackstone rolls (Twin Tuna and Blackstone photos included). Especially impressive (and I know this seems minor) is the pickled ginger. I'm sure it's from a jar or something but it's very good and tastes fresh, isn't overwhelming, and is a nice palate cleanser between rolls
The price point is a but above a bargain, but you certainly won't be upset over what you paid for. Would recommend highly for sushi rolls in the area
*Indoor dining review*
Not the best restaurant experience I've had. I came here because we were in the area and was hungry, but it ended up being a mistake. Maybe we should have ordered from sushi menu instead of kitchen menu.
Restaurant: 3/5
Service: 1/5
Food: 2/5
Parking: Free parking lot
~Restaurant~
The restaurant itself looks pretty modern and the tables and chairs looks new. Also the decorations are nice. There was a bar on the left side as soon as you walk in. But unfortunately it is only nice looking on the surface, the hallway leading to the kitchen and bathroom was pretty messy, and the floor is dirty, one of the bathroom door will not lock.
~Service~
The service was basically non-existent. Although we sat down almost immediately, the waitress couldn't care less even if she tried. She seemed very unhappy that we showed up on a busy night. Apparently she just wanted us to hurry and order the food, since she never bother to introduce herself, never checked on us to see if we needed anything else, never refilled our water.
~Food~
The food is below average at best. And somehow they come out ALARMINGLY fast, that should have been our signal to walk out.
What we ordered:
-Grilled Chilean (Seabass) Sakana (I asked if it was fresh or frozen, I was told fresh, and the fish came out tasted just like frozen fish, especially after I just had fresh Chilean Seabass elsewhere recently. It came with clumpy cold rice, and some boiled vegetable with teriyaki sauce on top. For the price it was not worth it.
-Kimchi Fried Rice (The rice dish itself tasted fine, but they used the same pre-cooked beef slices that are normally put in Lo Meins or other Chinese beef stir fried dishes. The texture of the beef was mushy, not pleasant).
-Lettuce Wrap (it was a bit too salty for my taste)
Authentic Asian Cuisine? Far from it. Although the restaurant advertised itself as "Asian Fusion". It is more of Asian (Con)fusion. If you're into FAST food Asian fusion this is the place for you. But if you're into authentic Asian Cuisine, you're better off driving a little further to Philadelphia Chinatown or some other Asian restaurants in the area.
Inexpensive and great lunch specials.

First time here. Seated as soon as we entered, no reservation. Great choice of Asian fusion. Even individual woks at table side.
Quick service and good food.
We go there frequently and it has been good but today very disappointing. It tasted like they have a new chef. Have to really think about going back again.
Been coming here for years for the 2 sushi roll lunch combo or dine-in work lunch with various colleagues. Love their teriyaki salmon bento box and spicy tuna. Always consistent and the sushi is fresh. My colleagues enjoy their chicken curry dishes and hibachi NY Strip bento box.
Good service and friendly, attentive service staff. Plenty of parking if you miss the lunch crowd.
Double-check your bank statements after dining here! I ordered takeout recently and the restaurant decided to tip themselves an extra 25% on top of the final bill without my consent. (The food wasn't even that great, just overpriced and one-note.)
I always order sashimi / sushi. The dishes are always very well presented, fresh and generously portioned, really excellent. For that they get 5 stars. I did taste some food from their kitchen menu which was good but not as good as the sushi / sashimi. All in all, a very nice place to eat. I recommend it.
Love this place! Food comes out fresh and hot! The flavors are amazing, staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is relaxing! Can’t say enough about our wonderful dinner, can’t wait to return!
Very good sushi. Service was good. I was disappointed the spicy shrimp wasn't really spicy and the portions are small. But overall, we had a great time.
Returned to old neighborhood favorite, since moving out of region. Welcome reunion.
Excellent lunch
Terrific sushi. Atmosphere modern/cement/lots of black... Only complaint is lots of echo because of style/hard to converse because loud!
Enjoyed a meal with friends. Close to work and home and has decent food at reasonable prices, especially their lunch specials. Not always consistent quality of food or service, but this outing was good with regard to both.
We were looking for somewhere close to the Nemours Estate that wasn't fast food and Le Shio was perfect. All of the dishes were beautifully executed and the sushi plates were melt in your mouth fresh.
Excellent go to place for fresh sushi and sashimi. House specials are delicious as well.
A great sushi place for vegetarians. 24 pcs sushi set offered 2 varieties of Sushi, both tasted delicious.
Himalayan monk soup was refreshing as well.
Vegetarian rolls were equally delicious as well.
Balinese salad was a little disappointing to our taste. It was just few slices of mango with some greens and cherry tomatoes. However, the dressing on complimentary house salad that came with sushi set was scrumptious.
Ambience was ok, lighting was a little too dim for my linking. Service was fast and it was not too crowded on Saturday 8pm. Convenient Location with free parking lot.
Good food. Haven't had a bad experience.
The food was really delicious but the waitress rushed us and actually told us to hurry up because they needed the table!!!!… SO RUDE!!!… and we were not even there too long, just finishing our meal!!… I WILL NOT RETURN
General chicken, delicious.
So let's begin with the food it's just okay not worth the price, service was pretty good, the sushi was pretty sad on taste & appearance, smh when I saw a couple come in with a fracking dog in a stroller cross from us! but on the bright side the deserts were in pretty good I'm thinking it wasn't made there

Best Sesame chicken around. Nice people. Pleasant atmosphere.
Consistently great and interesting dishes with lots of choices on the menu. Service is attentive. Our server, Justin, could not have been sweeter or more accommodating.
This is my go-to for Chinese and sushi. Always so friendly and welcoming.
The food is fresh and the portions are substantial. Their lunch menu is a great way to give them a try for a great price!
Not many vegetarian options and a little pricey. They tried to charge same price without meat, asked for meat on side, said they don't do sides, not cool. Host was unable to answer our questions because she was trying to answer the phone without saying just a minute, excuse me, etc. Asked for brown rice got white, the one and only vegetarian sushi was good.
They stayed 5 minutes after closing time when I was having trouble getting to them through the snow! And, as always, the sushi was splendid
Blackstone roll is the best! Hit and sour soup is our family’s favorite . Have been you going her for 12 years and highly recommend.
Never had a bad meal here.
My husband and I happened upon this place and we really enjoyed our experience. The food was delicious and well priced for what we received. Service was very kind, courteous and efficient. We will definitely be back!!
Takeout is extremely fast. A little pricey for dinner. Lunch menu is great
Loved this place so much we ate twice during our visit! Lychee Martini - when prepared correctly was amazing. Time Square sushi was super fun!
Love love LeShio! Specially if you live sushi! Amazing delicious and wonderfully presented!!
My mom & I visited this establishment on 10/28/23 for lunch. We were warmly welcomed by the staff as we were brought to our table. Our server was a young gentleman who was pleasant & professional. We started off with the cream cheese wontons which were crispy and flavorful, the best I've had in a long time. Now to our entrees, my mom had the pad thai, she loved it and I had the General Tso's Chicken extra spicy, it was prepared expertly and absolutely delicious. Both came with soup, we had Hot & Sour, flavorful and nice spice. We both were happy with our experience. Will definitely return. Highly Recommended! Tell them Charlie sent ya!
Great spot for a casual dinner. Friendly, kind service. Does get busy in the evenings so make a reservation if you can. I’ve gotten the Thai curry with chicken the last two times and it’s a little spicy but very tasty. My neighbors at the restaurant kept asking me what I ordered!
The kitchen skipped our order, waitress didn't give chopsticks and didn't ask if we needed refills, and it took 45 minutes of waiting until we finally had a waiter come check in on us and we were able to have our order. Overall a awful experience, the restaurant wasn't even busy. There was only about 5 tables with people sat, and most came after us. They still got their food before us and actually had chopsticks. When I tried to call a waiter over to ask for some, it resulted in being ignored. The food was good, for the trouble given there was 6 dollars taken off the total, and the waiter apologized. But I don't think that changes too much about how the experience went.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite making reservations for two, they seated us at a six-person table. When we requested a smaller table, we were told, "Other people have made reservations." We decided to give it a chance, but to our dismay, no one even acknowledged our presence for a drink order, and we were completely ignored for a whole 12 minutes. We eventually gave up and left. Terrible service and communication. 👎
Very nice and fresh food. Portions are just right. Nice menu. Very pleasant staff. Large restaurant needs to lower the a/c, it was too cold.
We are regulars here and had a Very bad customer service from the older lady here. She straight up insulted me for tasting my husbands coke saying 2 people are having 1 soda to my face. I just took a sip and the fact that she said that to my face in-front of every one was very impolite and I wouldn’t have minded paying if I really wanted a soda. We always tip generously here and this woman flipped her own words and said she wanted to ask if that soda was bad. Wont recommend her service.
Got the le shio for 2 and was very good, the selection of fish by the chef was good. Wish they included Spanish mackerel, the fish slices were tick and very soft/buttery. Not fishy at all. my only outlier was when I picked up my order the Asian lady was very rude, she even snagged the phone from one of the ladies up front. Overall will be back very soon! Hopefully the lady is in a better mood with the other staff.
Highly recommend trying the king crab chef roll if you don’t like raw fish.
great quick sushi
Like the food, nice to have a casual meal. Service was good but slow pn food.
While waiting for my ride, I popped in to Le Shio to escape the heat outside & have a cold brew. The bar was a very clean & very well stocked, I enjoyed a Stella & reviewed the menu, full of really delicious options, so good that I decided to wait till my next visit to enjoy the meal freshly prepared rather than opt for take out on that occasion. Jasmine has some competition.
WORST fake Japanese restaurant I have ever been to! Terrible food. Rude waitress. Flies hovering over food. Dirty floors. Filthy bathrooms. Fake crab in their sushi.
Solid sushi & sashimi menu and other options for those who don't like sushi. The sushi tastes fresh & the rolls I've tried have been great. The service has always been on point at lunch and dinner rushes. Great bar selection as well.
Teriaki and Hibachi my Favourites.
I almost had to go to the dentist trying to eat their sweet and sour on the rocks chicken! Over cooked is an understatement! I really used to like this place but you never know what your gonna get like a box of chocolates! Money down the drain! Check your bag before you leave, thoroughly!
Overall LeShio is ok. I dined there a couple of months ago with my family. We ordered several appetizers and several different main courses one being General Tso Chicken.
The dining experience is lacking at best. The food, the service and the overall design, decor and ambiance of the restaurant is poor.
It is a disappointment because the restaurant has the potential to be a really good place that you would want to go and enjoy but it's just not.
The area in North Wilmington is just begging for a really good Asian restaurant but unfortunately LeShio fall short and just doesn't deliver.
Le Shio is the BEST in Asian fusion.. ALWAYS FANTASTIC!
I ordered the shrimp tempura bento box for lunch and it was the PERFECT size. This was my first time here. The prices for their lunch specials are just where they should be - not too expensive and you still get a great portion of food for the price! The staff is very kind and polite too. Will definitely be coming back here again!
Quiet place in a strip mall. The staff was very attentive and the quality of the meal was excellent.
Le Shio is the best in the area. The Caribbean Tropic sushi is probably the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was calming. First time trying this place, will 100% be coming back.
Having celiac, it can be a little risky eating out anywhere. I ordered nigiri sushi with no sauce or anything. It was very good, and didn't trigger a reaction. My colleagues ordered off of the lunch menu and it all looked great as well!
Had a lunch with a team mate. I have ordered Chicken Fried Rice and my colleague ordered Yellow curry and both tasted really good. The ambience is very nice and the service is good. If you like Asian cuisine and live near to Wilmington, I definitely recommend this place for dine in. I am planning to take my family and visit one more time soon and will update the review based on my second visit.
Best General Tso Chicken
Good food and good service. Try their hot Saki.
Absolutely fantastic! Came for dinner with my partner and his family and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was complete with beautiful artwork on the walls.
Food was pretty average. Soup was disappointing. Sushi wasn't bad but I've had better. And I don't eat that much sushi.
I've eaten here and it is decent.
However, my complaint is that the phone contact information listed for the restaurant is for the fax machine (both 0145 & 0146), which I find absolutely ridiculous for anyone that wants to order to-go. FIX YOUR PHONE NUMBER! I chose another place to order because of this challenge.
My first time here the food was excellent and the service was the best will definitely be coming back.
I've only ordered take out, but it's always so good!
Everything was delicious, really good quality sushi. Food took a while to come out and it wasn’t very busy but other than that, it was a great spot!
Went here for lunch today. Food was great. Their lunch special is reasonable, and the service is fantastic. Everyone is so happy friendly and helpful. Makes you want to come back. We will definitely be back.
Large menu selection. Timely service. Clean.
Update: I'm doubling down after trying the Beef Jalapeno. I got maybe 4 pieces of beef and the rest was a ton of jalapeno pepper and red onion. It tasted good but the price vs portion is ridiculous.
Really disappointed with the chicken hibachi dinner - it was teriyaki soup with 80% diced vegetables (raw onion, mushrooms, maybe 1 single broccoli) and very little actual chicken which itself was mediocre at best. The fried rice tasted like hot oil... I would not recommend the hibachi dishes here to anyone. For the price, not good.
Every time I've gone to Le Shio the food gas been phenomenal. I have not had to ask for more of anything. Portions are large enough to be satisfying. The sushi is very fresh and perfect as it should be without fail. The restaurant has a very modern look and pleasant feel. Definitely recommend trying this place for yourself. The service is struggling due to lack of personnel just like most restaurants but very tolerable.
Our favorite sushi place in the whole tri-state! Delicious 😋
This is the first negative review I have ever left but seeing that this was one of the "top" places to get sushi in Delaware made me giggle. Everything is overpriced and not tastey. The only thing I enjoyed was the hot sake. Had to order like 6 bottles to myself to get through the terrible food. I think it used to be good according to some, but its not anymore if it ever was.
Wonderful presentation of food. Speedy preparation and friendly staff. Quality of ingredients is top tier. Highly recommended Le Shio to anyone looking for a quality Asian fusion dining experience.
Great lunch menu. The sashimi platter was a real value and the fish was perfect.
Enjoyable stir fry chicken; comfortable atmosphere. Crowded parking.
The food is consistently good and reasonably priced. The staff is good and attentive if sometimes a little slow just because of short staffing.
I tried the Le Ship filet mignon from the lunch menu and it was delicious.
The service was also very accommodating, friendly and speedy.
It's one of my go-to now in my new job
This is the go-to place for team lunches, so I've been here a few times at this point. I will say that the highlight of this restaurant is the sushi, which is excellent. The Thai curry dishes are pretty solid, as well as the satay skewers. However, I was supremely disappointed with the mango chicken dish as it was extremely bland and overpriced. I'd stay away from that one. Otherwise, Le Shio is a really solid asian fusion restaurant in the Wilmington area.
First time there! Everything was really nice! I will go again...
Super sweet staff and amazing sushi!
From top to bottom, every level of LeShio’s sushi blows every other sushi joint in Wilmington out of the water. You can taste the freshness of the fish, and you can tell the chefs have spent time making sushi in Japan. It’s an Asian fusion restaurant but the sushi is the headliner
We went to Le Shio as we wanted to try new Japanese restaurants around DE. Went there on New Year’s Eve, quite impressed.
W got teriyaki salmon, tempura udon, California rolls, shrimp tempura rolls and gyoza.
I’m happy with the taste overall, especially the sushi rolls. The tempura was very well done too.
The only unusual thing for me is the udon soup. Of all the udon soups I had, I never had a spicy soup, but this one is spicy.
I’m very sensitive to spicy food and I don’t like any. So the spicy soup was unexpected, the menu didn’t point it out either.
Overall it’s a good restaurant and we’ll be going back.
Update:
We got takeout a month ago, got Teriyaki salmon and it tasted a little odd. Soon after that I had a bad diarrhea, not going back again.
Good food, fast service, no surprises. Smooth dining experience.
Gr8 Place to for a date or to take friends...
Fish very fresh and well prepared for sashimi. Beautiful presentation with shiso and daikon. They did not know how to make sushi rice well. Miso soup was underwhelming.
I have never had a bad meal here. I got one thing I did not care for but that was on me. I should have known mango chicken would be sticky but anyway... LOVE the Thai Basil Chicken I ask for it to be extra spicey and they do not disappoint. Sushi is always fresh and consistent. Stacy Roll....YUM. Birds Nest Yowza Awesome mix of smooth and crunchy. You can make your own Wok and my friend likes their noodle dishes. Their take out is as consistent and tasty as dine in. I've never had a problem with service but we are post COVID so be patient.
Good food! Love this place

Not the best restaurant experience I've had. I came here because we were in the area and was hungry, but it ended up being a mistake. Maybe we should have ordered from sushi menu instead of kitchen menu.

Tasty sushi but the rolls are small compared to other sushi places. Nice atmosphere and a good place to go on a date or with a group.
Basic pan-Asian cuisine in a strip mall. However, dishes are pretty tasty. The variety is very good. Service and atmosphere are better than expected.
I recall the rolls being in larger portions in number and size before. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was very good. I had the Le Shio roll and Spicy Salmon roll.
味道好极了
Food is garbage. Duck was overburn with styrofoam taste, rice from microwave and some salty sauce
Great food and service
This is my favorite Japanese restaurant with such great fresh sushi ...its to die for
Food was delicious, we shared 4 rolls and they were all great.
First time eating from Le Shio. Most friendly staff. First time ordering from here, and they were more than happy to talk to us about what we ordered. We were surprised at how quick our order was ready, as we did not place an order to go ahead of time. Brought it home, and we were pleasantly surprised at how much food there was, and how good it was! We will be going back for sure!
The food was great. For a tasty experience, you must visit them, and they're conveniently located right off of the highway.
Always good food. Have been going for more than 8 years. Good variety and good taste always. Of late the entrées have become expensive though
