Ive been coming here for a couple of months and always ordered take out. Today we ate in and the food tasted so much better! The food is definitely awesome and tasty. The place needs remodeling and it has a B grading. Nevertheless, staff is friendly and is great at recommending dishes. 😊

Chicken satay is dry Altho flavor is ok (4/10)

Angel wings are like 2/10. Batter doesn’t work with the chicken, chicken is SUPER dry and the stuffing is too basic to be good. Super disappointed.

What’s most telling is the pad see ew. It’s bland, under cooked (except for the meat - over cooked and tastes like old leather), and gross. If you’re a Thai restaurant, you gotta have a decent pad see ew - that’s like the easiest thing out there. (1/100)

And the shrimp fried rice… I guess if you stick 2 pieces of shrimp on anything it makes it a shrimp dish. Doesn’t make it good tho.

Sigh. I’ll try it one more time. But for now… Just go to tantawan.

I ordered the BBQ rib dinner this comes with "shrimp fried rice " rice was cold and very lumpy, the ribs wet in sauce but meat was dry wait forgot the shrimp on the rice seem like they have a bag of small frozen peeled shrimp bag ready to warm up and put them on top of the rice with green onions. 2nd dish was the satee beef with again same "shrimp fried rice" meat had no flavor other than grill marks and meat very hard to chew service was nice. As you can see in the picture those are left overs.
But we all have different taste so hope you will enjoy but I didn't

Apparently my family and I have been coming here since the early 90s! We have been going to this place for so long that we know the owner and the old and new wait staff..lol We went there again this past weekend, and it has been almost a year since I personally have been here. The staff is friendly and quick to respond to any request. One of the cashier even played with my adorable niece when it was slow. The food here is great and is priced reasonably. The shrimp fried rice, Rad Nar, S1 combo, and Chicken Noodle, Dearest Crab, and Masamun Curry and Panang Curry are all family favorites! Oh and the Fried Banana with ice cream is DEEElish! The cucmber salad side dish they make is also sweet and tangy. I most definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants some delicious Thai food!

The Garlic Chicken should be called PEPPER chicken! First time eating here and ordered off Door Dash. The "Garlic" chicken has an obscene amount of black pepper in it, it's almost inedible. The Pad Thai also had ZERO peanuts despite being described as having a side of peanuts. What's pad Thai without peanut? This is my first and last time eating from here... COZY THAI down the street has much better food.

Been going here for almost 10 years! We've tried other Thai restaurants but we always come back because they have delicious food! Their bbq chicken and shrimp fried rice is always a favorite with the appetizer spring egg rolls or fried calamari. Of course we cannot forget the mouth watering pad thai 😋 I occasionally order their curry and they serve a variety too. My all time favorite is the sticky rice with mango 😍 I've tried it in different restaurants but they make it just perfect!

solid food, try their s1 on their menu. hits diff. the water aquarium is always a pleasure to see while eating. and the waiter is super attentive. would come here again and pretty affordable

Good BBQ chicken and BBQ ribs

Received my food and was excited to try somewhere new. BAD idea!!! The food was very bland broccoli beef had three peices of meat and was soaking in juice .The Tom Ka coconut milk tasted spoiled and wasnt palatable. As a topper you would think they would at least add utensils or napkins, neither,WOMP WOMP!!!!!!!. Lets say .its was our first and last time there. Only possitive was the Thai Iced Tea . ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE . MONEY BACK PLEASE !!!!!!!

Been going there for over 20 years. New management, they don’t answer the phone for phone orders . They charge .75 cents per sauce ! And that has to be paid in cash 💰 ! Strange I think it’s for the workers pocket . The owner needs to see comments and educate his employees . Sad to say I will not go there again .

Never coming back again . This was my favorite Thai restaurant before. Now the service is horrible! The waiter is not friendly at all and the food sucks big time . They put a bunch of broccoli 🥦 on the sea food Tom yum soup 🤢. Just everything about the place sucks now . I think they changed owner . I wouldn’t recommend this Thai restaurant to no one . Me and my family were so disappointed never again !! Please don’t waste your money here ! I forgot one last thing the restaurant was empty

Stopped by early evening to pick up some online order. This place barely had any customers. The young man who served at the moment was acting like a busy body with a long face, and blushing people off. He looked more like from the land of grouchy, anything but smile! Hope Santa has mercy, spare him with something like a happy meal : )

Spare Ribs and BbQ chicken dinners were terrible rice was hard. It feel like food was cook 2 days ago Not freshly cook. Will not recommend it.

Not the same chicken bbq. Did owner change? Disappointing - been coming here since the 90s.

They had a bunch of little fruit flies inside the restaurant, one landed on my plate and we still had a lot of food left, instead of giving some kind of discount or making another plate they just gave us a Thai tea and charged full price. They also said that the manager was aware of the flies but nothing was being done.

Everything was delicious. Just pack your patience when waiting for a table but it's worth it! :-d

Been going to this place 20+years LOVE IT

I remember being served tomatoes sliced, cucumbers, and lime slices on the side of the fried rice at their store in L.A on 3rd St. However, at the Amar location I had the Thai BBQ chicken dinner and I got catsup shrimp fried rice, and three shrimp in the shrimp fried rice.

Been coming here for years this place has really lost me since the pandemic. The service use to be great as well as the food. Last few times I ordered the s8 the shrimp was foul on the rice. Having to describe the smell makes me cringe. I still go back today I went and was frustrated tried phoning in a order that didn’t work I go in and they messed up my order I was ordered chicken instead got beef. Had to come all the way back. They should’ve let me have the beef I drove all the way back with from El Monte. Instead I had to pay for one out of four. Smh disappointed.

BBQ spare ribs is awful. It’s actually boiled, then lightly grilled to give it that “grilled burned” appearance on the meat & bones. The fried rice is not as good as it was before. The quality of the food had declined. We’re long time patrons of this restaurant, over 20 years, but we’ll be looking for another Thai restaurant.

I never give bad reviews, but the food is awful. Usually when I order from other Thai places, I'm salivating from the wonderful aromas. I picked up my order and it smelled very fishy (pun intended). Ordered House Special with shrimp; once we opened the box took one bite, and threw away $40 worth of food for our family. We did not want to get sick. Already feeling queasy as I write this review. Sorry, guys.

What a disappointment.....the quality of the food has gone down to a cheap fast food, it used to be a pleasure to eat from this place and now the only original thing is the sweet chili sauce, the chicken is not fresh anymore and the ribs where dried and hard not edible, beside the price going almost double than original, quality is to be sad about.

Ordered the shrimp scampi...S5 on the menu...OVER THE TOP salty...I mean UNHEALTHY AMOUNT OF SODIUM...luke warm food...I ate it ONLY cuz I paid $11.50 for it and was super hungry. I would suggest to look elsewhere for Thai food. Oh and by the way...the hostess/server/order taker was RUDE to put the icing on the cake!

Been going here since I was a kid. Great Authentic Thai food. Try the Spare rib dinner with fried rice or the BBQ chicken. Both are very tasty and delicious. Good prices good service. They just need a good remodeling as the place looks dated. Other than that, food is good. Check them out at West Covina or the one in Chino Hills is excellent they recently remodeled.

Tried this Thai place for the 1st time and it was very delicious. We ordered the chicken sa-ta, pineapple fried rice, beef pad see ewe, and the chicken (yellow) curry. All of them were very yummy. Will be going back for sure.

The food here is always great. Whatever you order, you'll like it. We typically order the House Special dinners: entree plus fried rice. All specials come with shrimp fried rice but, due to allergies, we upgrade to whatever different flavor fried rice we want. There is an upcharge for it and extra time to prepare. It's all worth it.

The staff here is extremely friendly, professional, and attentive. Your water glass is always filled and they check on you at appropriate frequencies.

I recommend the Bbq chicken combo, beef satay combo, or spare ribs combo. The garlic short ribs entree is also delicious, as well as the coconut milk chicken mushroom soup.

The only reason why I'm not giving this location 5 stars is the facility itself. They have been in this location for as long as I can remember (~30 years). The building definitely needs some upkeep. The restroom is clean but you can smell the mold and see the necessary update everywhere. But, the staff do their best to make sure everything is clean and pleasant.

I used pick up on Doordash and had to wait atleast 10 minutes to pick up my food that was on the table. Also the food didn’t taste good to me. The chicken was definitely undercooked. I disputed it with PayPal. Gross won’t go back.
