First and foremost, I am a local living in Hiddenbrooke and this is a very convenient location. It seems that this physical location is not very lucky for dining establishments. I only come here when I have no other options and rarely make a point of coming here. I don’t think Vallejo has much for great dining experiences except perhaps next door at Michael Waring. But for share convenience, I am lucky to have both Japanese and Thai food available. So I was willing to give this establishment another visit.

Service has always been very good. As it is rarely busy, the lone server does the ordering and server quite adequate. The variety is very good. The food quality is always very good. Prices are a bit higher than comparable locations but that’s expected for the convenience.

Our dinner for the evening:
Shrimp Tempura appetizer
Jasmine rice
Crab fried rice
Yellow chicken curry
California roll
Samurai roll
And one glass of Thai ice tea.

Food came out quickly and hot!

-Tempura was very flavorful and the batter flaky and light. 5 pieces. Some pieces had excessive batter. But definitely not over cooked. A good start.
-California roll easy and simple. Pieces are cut evenly (a dead giveaway for me).
-Fried rice was good and tasty. If there’s fish sauce, it’s not overbearing. I like the green onions on top.
-Curry was very good. I prefer more potatoes and Thai basil.
-Sushi roll was tasty. Rice is good consistency and not too dry or wet. Texture is excellent.

I really wish this place was busier and wish the owners success as it’s such hard work running a restaurant. I think they give their best effort and I will have to make a more concerted effort to come here more often. I’m biased as the success of this location means I have more choices for food locally. I recommend trying and seeing for yourself. If you live in Vallejo or Fairfield it’s worth the trip. But I’ll be coming back more frequently as it’s just down the road.

It was our first time going here and I would recommend it to people looking for Asian fusion. The environment is super hip and the little details in the plates are a super cute touch. It did get busy and there was only one server/waitress on the floor during the whole dinner rush but she was super nice. But we are definately going to go again and try more on that menu.

The service is great and the decor is warm, hip, and welcoming. The food is aesthetically pleasing and delicious. There is a large selection of sushi dishes as well as poke bowls and grilled items. I only had sushi and I got it to go because I didn't have the time to stay and enjoy the restaurant. The prices were a little higher than I would like but im assuming it is a pricey location. I don't mind paying extra for fresh fish but I'm not sure if that is what I got. I cant say for sure so I wont comment on it. What I did get was delicious and the wife had no complaints either.

Maybe I am a little picky but I feel like the restaurant could have been a little cleaner. I did not peak behind the counter to see what things looked like in the food preparation areas. I wish I had now. They do have a cool touchless, electronic toothpick dispenser that will hold up one perfectly picked out toothpick for you with a waive of the hand. They also have some cool Lego characters around, some of which double as pens.

I don't know if it will be my regular spot but it is definately worth a visit so you can experience it for yourself and draw your own conclusions

I love this place Everything on the menu has been delicious. Some of my favorites are the Pad Thai Chicken. Basil Fried Rice. the Spicy Miso Ramen. A5 Wagyu Nigiri. Tuna Tower. Teppan Steak. I cant say enough Good things about this place. The staff. The staff Are some of the nicest people we will ever meet. Enjoy

It was 2024 Mother’s Day. I was waiting FOREVER for my food, my family and I got seated. In 1 hour we only got 1 small piece of food, IN ONLY 1 HOUR. Then I got my food another 30 mins, it was the udon. The udon was terrible, the soup was sweet and bland, the noodles weren’t soft and tasted sweet. It was supposed to be Tonkatsu Udon. The only good food was the crab rice and the mango iced tea.

The crab is not fresh and very little.
The tonkaj soup is not right.

The menu is large but only a small percentage of the dishes are good from our perspective. The soups are good based on very flavorful broth. With that said they were a little thin on the veggies. My Dad ordered shrimp chowmein which was not chowmein but ramen noodles instead with a wierd sweet flavor and only a small amount of shrimp. He sent it back and got CA rolls instead, which he also disliked due to an excessive mayo taste. The other 2 sushi rolls we got were fine (unagi and tuna roll). The teriyaki beef had a strange texture and, again, an overly sweet flavor. We were not thrilled with the food. The atmosphere was cold and loud due to the echo, even though only a few tables were occupied and the chairs were hard and uncomfortable. The service was lacking; we had to ask for table settings and, again, water. They were not busy. Our bill was delivered by someone who looked like they just walked over from the beach in shorts, a T-shirt and flip flops. Considering this was a dual birthday dinner, we left feeling less than satisfied with the overall experience and like we wasted money as we should have gone somewhere else. Extremely underwhelmed with this place; Considering the location and cost, we had higher expectations. We most likely won't go back just for the soup.

Very expensive, small portions and mediocre taste. My food came out AFTER my son was done eating. So...I asked for a box and I'm eating my very expensive fried rice and mixed vegetables with (3)) shrimp that I paid 1.00 per shrimp extra, on the couch in my home. Never again.

I've been here twice now, and the service was lacking. Maybe because we had more than 6 people, there's an automatic 18 % charge to our bill that they felt they didn't need to provide good service idk. Then the food took a very long time, there was only one other party besides ours. When it finally arrived, it was mediocre at best. Maybe the sushi rolls are better?

Having read some negative reviews of this restaurant recently we just wanted to check for ourselves. PreCovid it had been great . It is still good. We had tempura shrimp, Pad See U and yellow chicken curry. The wide noodles were tasty and the chicken a little spicier than you usually get for this dish but it was great. I would not hesitate to return.

This place has a lot of potential, the food is pretentious and overpriced for mediocre quality. The floors were sticky for some reason, it wasnt busy with about 3 tables being served. The locatuon is amazing but the servers could care less that youre there and definitely dont have an inviting feel, just sit down, eat and get out.

I had a late lunch at The Loft with my son and grandchildren. While the food was good, the service was subpar. Our server was extremely nonchalant. She behaved as if she didn't want to wait on us at all. Also, when you order sushi, ginger comes with it. I had to ask for it at the end of our meal. I'm in no hurry to go back.

Ordered beef teriyaki for $21, I expected it to be at least edible. Guess what? The beef was so hard to chew and I had to throw them all away. Service was bad too and the floor was sticky. Grab a sandwich next door, don't waste your money here.

It’s really cute; clean and fresh looking on the inside. The area looks picturesque too. The Veggie/Vegan sushi was good, maybe a tad too high in cost compared to another place I recently visited. The spring rolls were overcooked and didn’t have the ingredients on the menu, like vermicelli. Service was good.

We have been twice now! Friends brought us the first time. Impressed with the sushi and Thai food! It's bright and cheerful. The staff work really hard and it is reflected in their delicious food! A most enjoyable family sushi night! Thank you very much. We will be back!

By FAR the best sushi / thai / fusion restaurant in the area for me. My stomach is always very pleased by everything I order from here. The baked Lion King roll is absolutely amazing. Their service is consistent, I've never received an incorrect order, and their menu is humongous - although I've ordered here dozens of times, there are plenty of items I have yet to try. Plus, they're very sweet on the phone. I recommend The Loft to everyone.

Very bad service from the owner who was rude and abusive. The restaurant owner took our order, we ordered a different plates included a side of noodles. When she brought us the bill, she charged us $13.95 for a side of noodles! because she decided to charged it like a regular plate. We asked her if she could fix it. At the beginning she didn't want to fix the bill and later she dismissively told us that she only give us a $2 discount. At the end we decided to pay the bill in full because we weren't looking for a "discount", we just wanted to pay what was right. The waitress was awesome, but we were disappointed by the poor customer service and abuse from the owner.

I called in a to-go order for 2 people 30 minutes before arrival. Waited another 30 minutes in the restaurant for it to be done. Unacceptable. Portions were very small and the food was not very good.

This place has a captive market as the only restaurant next to an affluent gated community in the hills and a certain laziness shows.

No one noticed us walking in, no greeting. Service was efficient but sort of oddly reluctant and grumpy.

Had a bland peanut chicken entree that arrived lukewarm and and similarly bland veg roll starter. The sauce for the veg roll had a slimey texture.

My entree arrived 10 minutes before my wife's sushi which is restaurant 101 stuff and just rude. No explanation.

Wife says sushi is good though. I had a decent red curry as takeout a week ago. So stick with those.

Feels like a place that has lost its way or changed ownership.

Bottom line: no reason to go back. There are other sushi choices in Vallejo area.

Great rolls, wide variety of asian food

I brought my parents here and I wish I hadn’t because they both got stomach aches after and terrible indigestion. The produce was clearly not fresh. There was a lot of sugar in all the dishes we shared and we could all taste aluminum which implies that there were canned ingredients being used. I know this is Vallejo but I think our community deserves a better product. Sadly I will not be returning. Please improve quality.

My wife, her boyfriend, and I all had a really good time here.

Food does not remotely resemble the dishes ordered. We thought we received the wrong order but it turns out miso soup does not contain miso but is a super spiced up oily version, crispy basil red snapper has no basil at all, and we won’t open the third dish. Ordered over an hour ago, and now we must cook a decent meal ourselves.

Addendum: The third dish was roasted duck pineapple curry. The little duck there was was good. The pineapple was canned. The owner called back to try and make up for our dissatisfaction, but at that point we were too busy trying to prepare something we and our children could eat and were not receptive. We may be difficult customers, as we generally cook everything ourselves fresh. Tonight we had sardines over steamed rice with our own vegetable soup.

The place is good to order when delivered. But when dining in at 2:30pm, the food is not fresh and microwaved. Heard that microwave going off non-stop and we were the only people in the. Beef is fully cooked and warm served not streaming hot, my veggies were rubbery and not warm plus they weren't fresh but from the frozen freezer. I'm disappointed and thought it was a good place to eat at. Guessed wrong... I wouldn't recommend this place during the day since it wasn't fresh, night time maybe a different version of how the food is cooked and prepped. Step your game up The Loft, you made this foodie sad.

Best sushi in Town

Great mix of Asian cuisine. We ordered the Wonton Soup, Teriyaki Tenderloin and the Grilled Saba. The soup tastes very authentic and had tasty wontons. The Tenderloin was tender. Our fish was grilled to perfection whole topped with eel sauce. All the food was wonderful and the service was excellent.

Very friendly staff in a modern atmosphere with whimsical small touches like stickmen holding up a wreath or holding a string attached to a lamp made to look like a balloon. Food was great! Had the salmon poke and tempura and the sticky rice and mango for dessert.

I have tried the yellow vegetable tofu curry, the veggie fried rice, Thai tea, & thai coconut soup. All made vegan, and all taste amazing. Best curry I’ve had in a while. Customer service is great!

I’m currently pregnant & have been craving sushi for the longest time so I decided to try a vegetarian roll ( I got the green roll) & honestly it was SOOO GOOD! He put a really good sauce on it & made the sushi into a caterpillar design which looked super cool! He was super nice as well & told me he was Gunna play around with the sauces on my roll since I said I love sauces! Defff coming back soon!

We got in kind of late. Roughly 830. They close at 930. The place was fairly empty since it was so close to closing time. The staff was very friends. The appetizer came out rather quickly. Both main entrees came out simultaneously and fairly quickly following the appetizer. The food was fantastic. Definitely will be back.

Visited twice (so far). Dined in once and grabbed carryout for the other. The food was yummy and pretty reasonably priced. I didn't sit on the patio but it had a nice view. Will definitely visit again and I highly recommend.

We went when it was dark and rainy—perfect weather for ramen :) I had the BBQ Pork Miso Ramen and hot sake. All of which met my expectations. Warm, delicious comfort food. The flavors were solid, nothing spectacular—the only gripe I have subsequently is that it's a little over-priced IMO. They make up for it with a sleek, modern decor, a wide menu selection, and friendly staff.

Not just the BEST Thai food in the Napa/Solano area but one of the BEST in the Bay. The PAD THAI and CURRY dishes are very AUTHENTIC. Food is definitely QUALITY vs quantity at this establishment, so if you are looking for fast food, this not your place. Take your time and enjoy!

My wife took me here. I did not know what to expect, but this was not it. I really like the look of place. It has a very interesting retro modern style. But it felt a bit cold/uncozy. The food and service was good and it is certainly a place worth checking out, but for me, it is a bit out of the way. But I am glad I went there.

Great service. I love their calamari. This time I had the spicy version of their red curry. It's delicious and the heat level was just what I'd hoped, spicy, tingly, but not unapproachable.

Hubby and I got food to go this past Friday night. Glad we did because the interior is all hard surfaces, so it was really noisy from just the family of 5 sitting in the middle of the dining room.
Our food was ready when we got there. We zipped home and everything treated pretty good.
I give one star because I immediately had an upset stomach when I was done eating.
The pain is not worth the flavor of the food.

The chicken larb is weird, but tasty. The calimari is where it's at. Nice atmosphere.

This is truely a hidden gem right off I-80. A squeeky clean restaurant, friendly staff and delicious fresh Thai food. I'd given it more stars if I could!

Easily the best Thai food in Solano County, and probably the best Pad See Ew in the bay area. I've tried Thai food in Santana Row, in SF, and all around the bay, but The Loft is definitely a standard above. The Pad See Ew has amazing flavor and is really filling. Portion sizes are GREAT. Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle are also among the best I've ever had. Tom Yum Soup was good, but nothing extraordinary. Increasing the spice level is really just adding chili pepper flakes, so do be careful when turning it up, as you might inhale more than you taste!

Delivery is a great plus!

IT HURTS ME SO MUCH to crank the review down to 4-star from 5, but I've been here a few more times since my last review, and I felt like I should update a bit.

Now, most things have not changed. Flavor, still amazing. Service, still attentive, Ambience, just as cute as before.

But the portion sizes :(
The last 2 times I came here, I had to order TWO entrees to get ALMOST as full as I used to be with just one order from before. At first I thought maybe my appetite is getting larger, BUT one time I ordered a pad see ew to-go (which they usually fill their black tray right to the top), and it barely filled their tray halfway! This is not good Loft!

I definitely went a few more times to hope that sizes would grow back, but unfortunately not yet. Let's hope the next time I swing by portion sizes are back to the great way they were before!

There spicy is the real freakin deal

Owner doesn't pay staff outside of hours that they're opened, yet forces the employees to work before and after anyway. Drivers only allowed to work for tips without hourly pay. Totally illegal.

The food is delicious. Our server was fantastic. The wine l selection is very poor with cheap grocery store wines. Because of the poor selection we brought our own champagne. The corkage fee is outrageous!!!

Great food and service. The green curry with chicken was addictive! I ate mine with white jasmine rice.
