I’m so thankful I found this little cute Thai Chef’s restaurant in Santa Clarita. When I moved to Santa Clarita from the Westside, my biggest frustration is not finding good restaurants. I felt like all of that I see are mostly chain restaurants, if not, one that is family owned but struggling to make it a success. While I don’t blame the many because of the past pandemic and now, the getting worse economic climate, it does create more of a challenge to find real good restaurants in here.
There are a few of course that I’ve found, and they are very far and in between and I can count them with my fingers.

For Thai food, Thai Chefs is definitely one of the best finds I had! It is a cute little boutique restaurant with nice decor and ambiance that of a Thai restaurant. It is located at a little strip mall at the corner of Copper Hill and Seco Canyon. It is family operated by the Thai lady owner and some of her family and small staff, that is why the food is as good, flavorful and legit authentic Thai! Yay! What a find! And I couldn’t stop sharing this to everyone I know, and my family actually don’t mind driving from OC now just to come meet me here in Thai Chefs.

I couldn’t tell you a specific item in the menu that stands out because they all are very good from their salads ( their chicken Larb and Papaya Salads are so good) to appetizers like their chicken satay, to their main dishes. And their dessert ( I never miss ordering the sweet sticky rice with mangoes) !

I can’t say enough of this place! The service is soooo good and they are all friendly, even the owner!

Prices are at par and the parking is so easy and are always available and free!

I’m going there to celebrate my girlfriends’ birthday again this evening! I no longer have to drive to the Westside like West LA or Hollywood for a good Thai food fix.

The food is definitely good but their prices are just high. This is a tiny neighborhood restaurant that prices their food as a higher scale restaurant. I took my children out because I remember their food being good, but, since my wife had always used her card to pay, I hadn't realized their prices were high. Starting with the food, anything we ordered had delicious taste. We had Chicken Panang, Bangkok Fried Thai Rice and Fisherman Party (Seafood Curry). They were not excellent but they were very good. We tried ordering from their $12.99 lunch specials list when I realized that none of their lunch specials are priced with meat. Even if you want plain chicken, you end up with a $14.99 lunch "special". And if you want a veggie roll with it, it will cost you $0.75 more. I looked throughout their menu and they do the same thing for almost anything in it. Which means that, you are buying sauces and some veggies when you order their meals. I have never seen anything like this anywhere in Los Angeles or thoughout the US for this matter. Definitely not expected in a neighborhood restaurant. Kind of sad... I have to admit that I didn't leave my minimum 20% tip this time. I felt nickeled and dimmed. This is a tiny, not-really-spruced-up, kind-of-modest restaurant in a strip mall deep in Santa Clarita. I am not sure when they started charging separate for the chicken on their meals, but they are definitely charging out-of-range prices for food. Ah yeah! Forgot to say... for these prices you don't even get water in a real glass, you get a disposable plastic cup. I am sorry guys, I'm not sure I'm coming back.

This restaurant's thai cooking is really delicious. We recently moved back to CA, and the SCV is new to us. The number of items on the menu is extensive and has many options of protein or vegetables for their dishes. I got the eggplant spicy basil lunch special with an added egg roll. I asked for medium spicy, and it was a good balance for me. Around this time of this review, mango season is underway; therefore, I recommend others to get their mango sticky rice dessert! It's nice that the rice is colored with butterfly pea flower, and the coconut cream and mango are a really wonderful combination. Thai Chefs will definitely be our go-to thai restaurant.

Holly crap, tried to sit down with my faimily and order some food inside but it was 109 degrees inside. I had to use the ice from a little fan in the waiting the room to ice my self down because we had to take out (60 dollars plus)I watched all the Uber eates guys pick up food be for me…. Seems they like the take out method better they lost my business !

Wanted to place a to go order. Never had the chance. Place was closed. It was 6:00 p.m. Scoured the website and said they were open. Oh well. May try in the future. Not a good first impression.

We were greeted with a smile, and treated well. Our waitress was willing to bend to my request to serve me a portion of my tom yum soup and package the rest "to go" (they don't serve soup in individual portions). Be advised that they use the "Thai" understanding of "spicy", and not the typical American one. (I love spicy food, and my lips were burning from "medium" spice level). T-Swift fans rejoice, I'm pretty sure they played all of her hits as ambiance (I'm curious now about the crossover of "Swifties" who like intensely spicy food). In any case, the food was delicious, the environment was peaceful and clean, and the service was humble and customer centered. We will go again!

My family and I loves this restaurant. The server is friendly and accommodating. This is our second time at this restaurant and the service is always good and the food is delicious. This will be our hang-out place from now on. Labor Day was spent with family here at this Thai Chefs Restaurant. We will all come back soon.

Good food, decent atmosphere, inconsistent service

Super fresh and delicious food. Our group ordered different dishes and the variety of tastes was impressive.

I went to the restaurant to order a couple of takeout dishes. Since it was a takeout, I paid with cash in order to avoid the awkwardness of facing the unwanted choice of tips on the machine. I picked up my order in 15 minutes and said “Thank you. Bye” to the guy at the counter, but he didn’t look, didn’t say a word. I figure he was not happy about not getting a tip on a takeout and intended to show it to me. I was already paying high prices for the two dishes, specially $21 for a soup. He didn’t have to move even a couple of feet to take care of my order. There was no reason for a tip. I felt quite good when I walked in thinking about having decent dinner with my wife, but walked out feeling awful. I am not going back to Thai Chef.

This place has hits and misses. We've been here a couple times. I'm from the valley so it's hard when you have amazing places to compare it to. Here, there are some dishes with not much flavor and others that it's good. Sadly more that I would not get again. Not my fav but there isn't many good place in SCV for food period.

4/29/2023: After a disappointing visit at Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve today, we (father, sister, and I) were looking for restaurants in Santa Clarita area for late lunch via Google and ended up choosing Thai Chefs Restaurant without reading the reviews. That goodness we did not! We came out here with great satisfaction. All the foods we ordered namely Thai Eggplant Basil, Seafood Tom Yum, Chicken Fried Rice, and Chicken/Beef Chow Mein were delicious! For dessert, we ordered Sticky Rice Mango - very flavorful! The mango is sweet and my first time seeing blue sticky rice. The personable and courteous server was kind enough to share with us that the blue color came from Butterfly Pea Flowers. Something we learned today. Overall, we were pleased and would definitely come back the next time we are in the area. Yes, my sister and I ordered 2 Sticky Rice to go.

I came across this place honestly very randomly just happened to be driving to visit my boyfriend and I recognized it next to a Mexican restaurant that I have been to before. Being that i'm not from the area I love trying out new places (to me) and finding my go to's for when I come visit. LET ME TELL YOU. This Thai food was SOOO GOOD. Flavor was amazing (be careful what you ask for when you ask for spice because they don't play, and I loved it), service was also amazing, and I honestly think after trying a few places around here that I have found my favorite Thai in the area. 14/10 recommend you go try this place.

Very disappointed with the quality of the food here. I ordered two Thai Boat noodles, 1 pad thai, and one pad see you. The Boat noodles were decent, but the pad thai and the pad see you, were dry. The noodles were so dry they fell apart. For almost $20 a dish, I expected way more for what they charge. I was served like they didn’t care. Not recommended.

Called to make sure they were open and said we were on our way. When we showed and the table was already set with water and lemon and plate settings.
Food was incredible!!! This tea was really good but smaller sized.

The food was very flavorful and authentic...mostly from the northern regions of Thailand. Neon was a wiz in the kitchen and her sister Cherry was a super nice and attentive server.

Excellent Thai food!

I typically do not like Thai food, but Thai Chefs has a few dishes that satisfy my pallet. Friends and family members who do love Thai like this place even more for me. The main reason I'm rating it at 4 and not a 5 is that the menu prices shown here and online are not current. I was a bit blindsided by a price that was about 30% higher than I had anticipated, which also lowers the overall value for what you get.

This place is tucked in the corner of a small shopping plaza with a small parking lot. The small dining room is seldom busy. We always order takeout so I can't speak to in-person service quality. Great food and decent portions but somewhat pricey. The curries come with a single order of rice, but all other main courses do not come with rice so remember to order it.

I would not give any stars to this place. This is very unauthentic place for Thai I ordered pad see ew. They made it with not chives or green onions which are mentioned in their menu and they used bad cooking oil which is used for deep frying the veg rolls. I sept 35 dollars and I would suggest not to go to this place. Don’t ruin your taste for thai food.

I have been placing the same order for years at this particular restaurant, I moved out of town and placed an order for pick up and when I arrived at home the food was not good normally I would eat it anyway but I couldn’t even eat it because it had a weird sour taste that I just didn’t like normally. The spicy Thai rice one shrimp and one chicken and It’s usually full of flavor and still spicy I called to tell them and instead of them offering to remake my order which came to 40$ they just told me that they use the same ingredients but I’m telling you it’s not the same I’m definitely upset because I’ve spent a lot of money and I’m not satisfied at all I won’t be back. It sucks when you feel like you’ve wasted your money.

This is my favorite Thai spot in SCV! I always go here when I'm craving chow mein, orange chicken and crab cheese wonton. The quality is great and I can always count on them for delivering fast and friendly service. A true hidden gem for authentic thai food.

Got a spicy chicken appetizer and spicy noodles for lunch. The chicken wasn't as crispy and the sauce was super salty. Spicy noodles really had no taste and had no kick. Wondering if eating in would be a better experience. Will update rating afterwards. Side note, they're super friendly, but QR code that takes you to the menu is a little wonky and takes a while to load everything up.

Group of unprofessionals running the restaurant. If you are vegan please don't go to this restaurant. I had ordered for vegan pineapple fried rice and even told them specifically no eggs or no meat. Before pickup I confirmed at the counter it's vegan or not and they told it's vegan. When I came to home and open the box to see it was full of eggs. I went again to the restaurant and returned their food. If you are vegan strict no.

Sooo disappointed. My husband and I are trying to support the smaller restaurants around us. So we ordered for pick up. We just got the food and we’d ordered two green curries and rice. The eggplants in the green curry are soooo hard and raw and the curry is watered down. The rice is hard also. It seems like it’s was sitting out for a while. So, so disappointed and I think this is the last time we will be eating here. We did try to call them, they wouldn’t answer our call.

The flavors are amazing ! What's really great also is you can choose the level of spiciness of the food from level 1 to 5. Not everyone can do spicy food, right? I like spicy but if all I feel is how scorching spicy hot the food is, I'm not really enjoying the flavors.

Found this little hidden gem last week. Love their noodle soups. It’s my go to when it’s cold outside.

Ordered 2 entrees, 3 appetizers and Thai tea to go... total $61+. Heard it was good and didnt think twice, thought it must be worth it. Got home (don't live close) only to find out I was give something I didn't order. Conclusion over priced food and not worth what you get. Will stick to Siam Rice, better option in my opinion and reasonably priced.

Late Delivery, Salty Orange Donuts! DONT GET THE ORANGE CHICKEN! Repulsive and there was barely any chicken. Just orange dough! What a shame. Food used to be good now it's just typical crap that every thai restaurant in the SCV has. Shameful, never coming again. $40 for barely any food. Save your time and money and go to La Cocina just a few feet away. Or there is Panda Express not that far. I'm serious never ordering again.

Incredible Thai food at a really great price. My wife and I usually get Panang Curry or Pad Thai, which are really great dishes. They also have great lunch specials. We've taken it to go and to stay. They sitting area is cozy and the servers are very hospitable.

I lived in Thailand for over 4 years and this place bring me back there for the time of our lunch. The chili and spices are imported from there and the taste of it is really authentic. Defenetly a place to go to try real thai food. Inexpensive, friendly service.
