Very rude customer service.

Diner Review №8

We got a hodge podge of food and everything was good, no complaints!

Diner Review №9

Great food! Service was great and food arrived within few mins. It’s 10 mins off I5, stopped by for lunch while driving to Palm Springs.

Diner Review №10

I had an amazing dining experience at Mom Can Cook Thai! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel like I was dining at a friend’s home. The menu offers a fantastic variety of authentic Thai dishes, and every dish I tried was bursting with flavor. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and spice, while the Green Curry was rich, creamy, and full of fresh vegetables and tender chicken. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and freshness of the ingredients. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you’re craving delicious, home-style Thai food, Mom Can Cook Thai is definitely a must-visit! I’ll be coming back soon!

so delicious every time and great service

Diner Review №13

One of the worst Thai food experiences. Over priced. Food filled with cheap cabbage. Even the rice!!! Last time I’ll eat there.

Diner Review №14

Yummy food and really nice service. Would return.

Diner Review №15

The green curry that is usually delicious was sour in taste so could not eat it and did not even taste like basil or have the sweetness it usually has. Some of the shrimp inside were actually dirty and grainy like they had sand the crunch was very unpleasant. The only thing I could eat was the sweet sticky rice

Diner Review №16

Diner Review №17

The place was in a strip mall that was under construction. The food was not very good thai food, mostly cabbage and lettuce and not flavorful at all.

Diner Review №18

Maybe because of the construction because I've heard great things about this place. I did not care for the food, the service was not good. And we were the only people there.

Diner Review №19

I ordered on Uber eats what I have always ordered from there. The green curry.. I was so excited and then it came with no rice… when I called I was told that I just paid $17 plus tax!! For green curry and nothing else… absolutely ridiculous! You don’t eat curry without rice and if you are going to charge more then just include it in the price! Never ordering from here again!

Diner Review №20

Diner Review №21

Food is good. But service is terrible!

Diner Review №22

This is my first also my last time ever order food from this place. I ordered pad see-ew with pork and requested to make it less sweet. It turned out to be tasteless with a ton of noodles, a few pieces of brocoli and carrott that I basically play count with. Where was my pork? I did scavenger hunt and had fun with it. But that all happened after a big disappointment because I ordered food togo and recieved food without togo utensils. What? So they promoted eating with hands or they literally didn't want to provide togo utensils for customers to save business cost? Poor food quality and service. I don't think they deserve a single star and definitely will never return.

Diner Review №23

Pretty good thai

Diner Review №24

Diner Review №25

The food was good. The service was good. Food is expensive, but then again, where is it not ? So if you have extra or you make a good buck. I would recommend

Diner Review №26

A visit to our favorite Thai restauran for some steamed dumplings and spicy shrimp and scallops! What a wonderful Thai place, hidden in this busy shopping center near the post office. Truly great food. The shrimp appetizer is a must, the veggie dishes are soooo good! Perfect rice. Try this hidden gem and you will keep coming back!

Diner Review №30

I used to love going here for dine-in or take out, but I was surprised with the way we were presented with our bill. They handed us the bill like usual, but after we gave them our card to pay, instead of the server giving us a receipt and then us writing the tip amount or letting us leave cash, the waitress handed us a touch screen device asking how much we wanted to tip. My first thought was this isn’t chipotle or some fast-food place. This is a restaurant where people want to enjoy their experience. Instead of leaving the device with us, the waitress stood there with the device in her hand waiting for us to make a decision. I always tip well, but this situation felt very pushy and forced. I realized the whole experience overall felt very rushed as well. This was enough to make me not want to return. I don’t understand why places feel the need to enforce changes like that when they operated without a tipping device for all those years before.

Diner Review №32

Our family loves the savory dishes here.

Diner Review №33

I went here with my family to try a new place. The waiter added something to our menu with us asking for it, they sneaked in. Then I got the check I paid cash and was given the wrong cheange in purpose, he kept the recite when he came so he thought I didn't remember what the total was. The food was ok but the waiter was dishonest.

Diner Review №37

I wanted to like this place and ordered 2 different dishes . The Panang curry is very heavy on the peanut sauce and didn’t hit the spot. Vegetables taste like they came from a can. Curry also doesn’t come with rice which is weird. Ive never had a curry without rice before . Pad see ew was very basic and was kinda sweet and the noodles were overcooked. Overall it wasn’t a good experience. I had food from here once before and I thought it was decent but maybe the management changed?

Diner Review №38

Diner Review №39

The name is so perfect, because Mom can Cook! The Massamun is my new favorite curry!

Diner Review №40

Diner Review №41

The food is delicious. Good vegan options.

Diner Review №42

This was my first time here. The place is small but cute inside the food is good and the service is good as well. It is kind of hidden in the back of the little plaza, but there is plenty of parking. The Thai tea was delicious and a plus with the cute bear inside. They also sell cute stationary pens on the counter. I believe I picked out 3 pens for $3. I will be back to try again.

Diner Review №43

Delicious as always. Food always fresh and amazing...love the lunch specials, great service and friendly and efficient staff. Thank you and Happy Holidays

Diner Review №44

Delicious meal. Noddles were amazing, followed by a couple of other trays. Yet I wish the orange chicken to be a little more crispy, yet overall chicken was good. Delicious. Service was quick for takeout as well.

Diner Review №45

Best Thai food ive had in the area...get that tum yum soup if you are not feeling good.

Diner Review №46

Their food was bad, tastes like out of a frozen food box and their staff is rude. Their supposed chicken wantons, were devoid of any filling, may as well been full of cardboard. They were so bad I actually returned them. First time, I have sent back something at a restaurant in my entire life. It was my first time going here, I will never go back.... They claim there is 8 jumbo shrimp in their yellow curry shrimp meal.... I counted 3 tiny shrimp and they were too lazy to even peel the shell off the shrimp or to take out the poop vein. I honestly wish I could give them negative stars. People beware. This place is terrible. The funny thing was they told me I can never return, when I returned their frozen food wantons that they cooked in a microwave. Like as if it were a bad thing to never go there again. You could not pay me to go there, or put their garbage in my mouth if you tried. I tried to give the rest of my food to my dog and even they wouldn't eat it. I suspect that mom could cook at one time, then she retired and passed her business down to her arrogant untalented children or someone else who are destroying it.

Diner Review №47

Probably best Thai in SCV! Really good curries 🍛, good variety to please a crowd too, something on the menu for everyone. Super friendly & helpful staff, quick on the take out orders, just good overall.

Diner Review №55

The food is very good, the portions are excellent, totally recommended !!. Importantly! the price is very competitive 👍

Diner Review №56

Very good food, ambience, and hospitality. Good vegetarian/vegan options, you name it you get it. Sake along with dinner was prefect 👍 .

Price wise it is high but it’s okay to try once a while.

Only con is do not add cabbage/broccoli if you’re asking to make food without meat, both were very chewy and honestly didn’t go well.

Diner Review №57

Yummy

Diner Review №58

A local staple with a beautiful setting and great service!

Diner Review №59

Family and I love thai food, and this one is the best in all scv, red curry, pad thai noodles, Mongolian plate, our recommendations!!

Diner Review №60

Isan Set, summer special menu at Mom Can Cook. very yummy. it is a must.

Diner Review №61

Really nice place and very friendly stuff

Diner Review №62

Soup was bad. Portions otherwise good

Diner Review №63

Too spicy not quality food and not not cheap

Diner Review №64

Food, service, ambience trifecta🔥
Consistently great quality and low prices. My favorite Thai restaurant.

Diner Review №65

You know it’s good when the only photo you got is with the chef. Had a quick lunch break and we will for sure be back. The curry’s were bursting with lasting flavors. We got the lightly spicy curry, it had just the right amount of heat.

Diner Review №66

Very nice place to eat lunch 😋

Diner Review №67

Came here with a friend who was craving Thai while in town. For SCV it's quite good. For those of us closer to Thai Town or North Hollywood, it lacked a little complexity. Will definitely stop by again when in the area and looking for some decent Thai.

Diner Review №68

Diner Review №69

Absolutely loved this place! Excellent quality and generous portions. We will definitely be back.

Diner Review №70

Always great service! Food is delicious and my family has been going there since I can remember!

Diner Review №71

Have been coming here for years. Great tasting food as always and a very wide selection to make everyone happy and full!

Diner Review №72

Diner Review №73

Staff is always friendly, great service, and excellent food. Their panang curry is very flavourful. Beef jerky is my favorite (their sauce is so good). Pad thai is delicious, and I also love their Pad See Ew. Thank you for making my thai ice tea bear 🐻

Diner Review №74

Awesome Thai food! Favorite Thai place in Santa Clarita. Must try it if you haven't yet.

Diner Review №75

Tasty dinner! The soups and dumplings are amazing.

Diner Review №76

Diner Review №77

Diner Review №78

Our favorite Thai food in Santa Clarita (and beyond!). Today we ordered two Panang curries (one very spicy) and The 4 Season vegetables. Everything was perfect!

Diner Review №79

Pad Thai is a staple! Siamese fried rice, 😋 🔥

Diner Review №80

Food was awful and overpriced.
We ordered dumplings for appetizers which gave us a preparation choice of steamed or fried. We selected steamed and got shu mai! Which is a dim sum Cantonese dumpling. How do you grit that or would we have gotten a different dumpling?
Ordered sticky rice which wasn’t sticky.
They also serve orange chicken. Weird. They also left the rind on the orange which was sautéed with the dish.

Farthest thing from authentic Thai and really overpriced.

Mom can NOT cook.

Diner Review №81

Diner Review №82

I gave them another chance— and was severely disappointed.

Food was terrible, greasy and sweet. Like 5 pieces of lettuce and nothing was good.

I guess the food was so bad, it was no big deal that portions were small— as it was, first thing I did was grab the pepto—second was run to the bathroom.

Service was surly at best, only came to table with check.

Mom still may be able to cook, but, it’s not in canyon country ( Santa Clarita ). Mom has left the building—- even daughter, has gone back to Thailand.

Big big disappointment. A friend worked with the original owner, before she and her Mom started this restaurant. Sadly, after maybe 15 years of great Thai Food Chris and her Mom moved on a couple years ago and new owners took over

Maybe it was an off day, but both our meals were very unimpressive— at best. Of course the prices are up over 20%~~ which, hey, that’s life and we are in danger of inflation big time,, but for such a big price increase and quality decrease, blech.

Good thing Thaihachapi in tehachapi is still making exceptional Thai Food.

Diner Review №83

Best Thai food I have ever had. Hands down. The place was packed at 5:30 on a Saturday and it was noisy. This didn’t helped the staff hear very well. But back to the food! Phenomenal Pad Thai, Yellow Curry and spring rolls. Food was really fresh and hot. Thai Tea also really good!

Diner Review №84

I LOVE Mom Can Cook, it’s absolutely THE best! Everything I’ve tried is delicious, but my favorite is the Salmon Fried Rice. Followed by Fried Coconut Crusted Bananas and Pineapple Ice Cream. What a treat!

Diner Review №85

Delicious Thai restaurant in Canyon Country, always a good meal, popular

Diner Review №86

Diner Review №91

This place is amazing. Food is always good 👌 and there's a pretty good variety. They work with all my special requests and the people are super nice. Highly recommend

Diner Review №92

Decent for the area but the food is not as flavorful. Service is great. Atmosphere is cool.

Diner Review №93

Had dinner on Christmas 🎄. Our first time. I really enjoyed the food. We had the teriyaki beef and the people pineapple chicken rice. 😊

Diner Review №94

Diner Review №95

Diner Review №96

I really enjoyed this place. The food was great!I had the Tom Yum and a noodle dish. Both were good. Service was great.

Diner Review №97

I noticed the top reviews are pretty unhelpful so I'll do my best to give some insight. Firstly for the food, the roti had a classic chewy, flakey texture with the occasional crispy bite which was great, and comes with yellow curry cooked with peas and carrots, sweet and savory. I ordered the green curry with tofu and vegetables as my main course and it had a pleasant kick, for slightly spicy, and had a wide variety of substance; bamboo shoot, bell pepper, carrot, tiny corn and basil leaves. The tofu itself was firm and tinted light green (which I found cute). Overall good curry and well seasoned, not watered down at all.
The atmosphere is very cute and warm, relatively typical Thai decor, with a straight forward service counter and the staff was polite and timely. Would eat again.

Diner Review №98

Diner Review №99

We had a simple dine-in meal at Mom Can Cook Thai Kitchen and really enjoyed it. The Pad See-Euw (my wife's go-to Thai dish) was spot-in. The Siamese Herb Fried Rice was delicious too. We enjoyed the very friendly service and the dining room was cozy and comfortable.

There are a good number of vegetarian options including something on the side order menu just labeled "Vegan" for $1.50. I hope it's not made of people.

We'd definitely come back and/or order as most of the delivery services bring food from here to our house.

We'll definitely be back.

Diner Review №100

This isy go to in town. Even if it like all the way across town from me. The best in SCV and anywhere else I have tried Thai food in other cities.

Diner Review №101

Loved the spring rolls and the pad Thai.

Diner Review №102

I had a green curry, it is way too watery, not thick coconut milk. Disappointing for this high price, $20 for a green curry with tofu.

Diner Review №103

Mom sure CAN Cook!
Excellent food, very reasonable prices, delightful service!

Diner Review №104

Diner Review №109

The best best food!!! So delicious, and the service her is impeccable. Highly recommend dining at this restaurant.

Diner Review №110

One of my best restaurant's in Santa Clarita. The food is always fresh and seasoned to my taste. The service is wonderful the way they all work together. They all work as a team even the front and back in the kitchen where the magic happens seem to harmonize together. Mom Can Cook is a understatement she rocks like no others. They are the best in my book. Even with new management Mom's training was not lost. Ex head Chef Nu been keeping a tight crew.

Diner Review №111

Diner Review №112

Great food. One of my favorite restaurants. Family owned. Very friendly atmosphere.

Diner Review №113

Hands down the best thai food place in the SCV. The chicken pad thai is amazing, an excellent example in terms of tasty and presentation. The decoration inside this place was unexpected, but super cool... you feel like you're in Thailand in some rainforest cafe. Well done! The lunch specials are priced well, try it!

Diner Review №114

I had a to-go order, mom's favorite noodles, and it had the perfect ratio of protein, noodles, and veggies🥕🌶🥬🥒🥕🥕🌶. If you're looking for great and affordable Thai food restaurant, Mom Can Cook is definitely the place to go. You will experience a cozy ambiance, along with food that will make you feel at home. Don't be discouraged by the location, sometimes the old looking buildings are the one that offer great experiences.

Diner Review №115

Have had better. The only thing we liked about is Thai iced tea. We ordered food when the place was about to close. Maybe the chef was tired. Will give another try.

Diner Review №116

Diner Review №117

Best Thai food in Canyon Country

Diner Review №118

There’s a reason why people keep coming back to this restaurant. I love the food, employees are nice, the place is clean and interesting with all the decorations. If you like Thai food, you will not be disappointed.

Diner Review №119

Hands down the best Thai in the SCV.

Diner Review №120

Great dishes plenty of food

Diner Review №121

My favorite place. Great food.

Diner Review №122

Good food. Wide spice level. Large and decent menu choices.

Diner Review №123

Food is subpar compare to other thai resto, would not recommend if youd eaten a better Thai resto around the area like Siam Rice and Jasmine Thai, the Grilled pork tenders was hard and no char in it more of like boiled pork meat and sauced up and the sauce is not good too, the basil thai dish was all veggies and less meat , the only thing thats good is the fried rice

Diner Review №124

The best Thai restaurant in Santa Clarita.

Diner Review №125

When Taste Meets Quality everything turns out better! It’s been a minute since I’ve tried some great tasting Thai Food. And it’s here in SCV! This place is a hidden gem, so don’t let the old school location make you feel uneasy.

Just go, order and Enjoy! 👏

First off, after reviewing some Google Reviews this Thai restaurant was the highest rated out of the few here in Santa Clarita. However I never tried it till today, and I’m glad I made the right choice! Parking is good, and this welcoming atmosphere of a place is something to be at with a date, friends or even your solo getaway! The inside was clean, and felt like a Authentic Thai Restaurant with modern flavor. The staff are friendly, and I really wished I sat and ate. But opted for Food to go on a late Thursday night.

At first the menu was priced higher than other Thai Restaurants so I wasn’t sure if I was getting a bargain. But upon eating dinner at home with their Signature “The Rich and Famous” Pad Thai, Crispy Tasty Rainbow Trout, and Homemade Style Wings, I knew right that second why this Gem is Called “Mom Can Cook Thai Kitchen!”

Bite after bite, the priced matched the Taste! That much that I kept eating more than I can handle! Lol. Definitely a pleaser, and coming back for more!

Sadly another location has been a great go to place that I’ve earned a great friendship with might not get my business as much anymore. Because this New Finding is a New Favorite for me!

Thank you guys!

Diner Review №136

No words just get food from here!!!💕💕💕💕

Diner Review №137

Great authentic food. Good flavors and spices.

Diner Review №138

The food here is very fresh and very delicious! The Pad See Ew has this really unique and flavorful smokey taste, and the orange chicken is light, and not over breaded. The Thai tea is what you would expect, and the egg rolls are pretty decent too. Other dishes here that I've enjoyed is Pad Woon Sen and Tom Ka Chicken Soup. I've been coming here for years, and this is definitely one of the best thai food restaurants in Santa Clarita. Check it out:) it has a nice ambiance as well, and the enclosed patio space is nice too!

Diner Review №139

Diner Review №140

Giant old onion on our plate. I told her our plate was dirty, and she said I was making it up even though she saw the dirty vegetable on our “clean plate”. Also horrible service. Never coming back. I asked a simple question about their food item and she said I could scan the menu myself and order.

Diner Review №141

I wish I can give negative stars for this place. Steer away from thos place, don't let the high ratings fool you. The high ratings apparently were for the previous ownership, not the current one.
Ordered over a 100 dollars from this place, absolutely regretted it. The only "tasty" thing in the whole order was sprite. The other foods tasted stale and super oily. I took one look at the soup, didn't even attempt to touch it.
If you actually want edible Thai food, back out and look for somewhere else

Diner Review №142

I like their food but they don't have an option for curry without sugar...everything is sweet, which I guess is the Thai way of cooking, but I wish they had the option. The servers are always so nice and the place is very pretty. Unexpected because the location is not a pretty place.

Diner Review №143

I really enjoyed this place. The food was great and they have reasonable prices. I had the Tom Yum and a noodle dish. Both were good. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this place.

Diner Review №144

Nice place. Good food. Great service. A surprising wine selection. I shall return one day

Diner Review №145

No longer recommending. They used to be very good about food allergy requests. The last few times our family went we were disappointed. The food came out cross-contaminated. It is now owned by new owners.

Diner Review №146

Pretty good. The curry was a little watery and everything was a little too spicy for me (I'm a wimp).

Diner Review №147

Delicious food, good service, reasonable prices in a lovely setting.

Diner Review №148

Tried the northern Thai sausage, it was great!

Diner Review №149

Diner Review №152

Diner Review №153

Such a satisfying experience, the food is just on another level, the chicken noodle’s with the peanut sauce is EVERYTHING, the panang curry is also really tasty and creamy.

The service was really good the restaurant was packed but our waiter Andy was awesome at helping us figuring out what to order and remained super friendly even though we were really indecisive.

I honestly can’t wait to eat there again.

I preferred the old management and the larger portions but the current owner is doing pretty well. It's clean too. Good people. 🤗🤗🤗

If u order vegan dish, they charge u more...At least $1.50 per dish. So if u are vegan, u should not go there. The dish is very small and not tasty at all.

Mom cannot cook vegan food and has to change vegan customers for more money.

Diner Review №176

Diner Review №177

Mom Can Cook was recommended to me by a friend shortly after I moved to the area, and WOW, 10/10! We got the tom Kha soup, Panang curry (spice level 7) and mom's special pad thai, and it was all so absolutely delicious! If I had to pick a favorite it would be the soup, but the flavors were outstanding with everything. Definitely a new fave, we'll be going back for sure to try more of what they have to offer!

Diner Review №178

Went on father's day for lunch. We were seated immediately, service was excellent. The food was also great. We ordered Thai Beef salad, chicken Phad thai, beef with Chinese broccoli & mushroom. Squid with garlic sauce and mango with sweet sticky rice for dessert. The Thai beef salad serving was larger than any other beef salad that i've eaten and I order that dish at every Thai restaurant I go to. All the food was delicious. We will definitely be back

Best Thailand food

Diner Review №186

This place was absolutely amazing!!! The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The portion of food was much more than what we are accustomed to, so keep that in mind when ordering.

Diner Review №187

We have been here many times. I had the chicken Sat dae and pork short ribs. Delicious.

Diner Review №188

I was looking forward to trying Mom Can Cook after seeing its name mentioned several times as one of the best places to eat in SCV. We tried the panang curry, BBQ chicken and ribs, and Mom's special pad thai.

The good: portions are quite generous and the panang curry was decent.

The bad: BBQ chicken was SUPER dry, and it was mostly white meat even though we specified dark meat only (why even have this option on your ordering form if you're gonna ignore it?). BBQ ribs were mildly disappointing as well but edible once dipped into the sweet sauce that came with the BBQ dish. Mom's special pad thai must be special only because it's reserved for people you hate - its ultra thin noodles create a weird mess in your mouth as you try to chew through them, while the stale shrimp puts up a real fight as you try to swallow it.

Overall, I'm pretty sure whoever rates this restaurant anywhere above 3 stars is just doing it for the generous portions and they've never been to a half-way decent thai place over the hill in SFV or LA. You'd have to look hard to find thai food this disappointing there.

Andy is such a Wonderful & Polite man serving food with such a warm smile & big heart.
Cozy Ambience.
We love this place & will definitely come back & recommend others to come.

Diner Review №195

Ok, two things...first off, the sevice is exceptional. And by that, I mean the waiter not only remembered me, but also what I ordered last time. Why is that exceptional, you ask? Because it had been a year since I was there. A YEAR...! Secondly, order the Northern Thai Sausage. I eat a *ton* of Thai food at a zillion restaurants, and I'm pretty accomplished at making Thai food myself...so when I say the Thai sausage at Mom Can Cook is the most delicious thing I have eaten in half a decade of life, it means something. Not "the most delicious Thai food," mind you...the most delicious food, period. Full stop. Order it with a side of jaew sauce. You can thank me later. I will literally drive 20 miles out of my way to eat here if I'm anywhere between Burbank and any point north. Go there...the owners are lovely people and the food will make your head explode with happy. Trust me...I'm Entropy. I know these things...

Diner Review №196

I have always loved this restaurant. Tonight is the first time I have ordered since the pandemic started and it was rough. My pad thai which is usually a 10 was more of a 5. My son ordered terriyaki beef and when we opened the take-out is was terriyaki chicken. Instant 0. My husband was looking forward to eating your food for the first time and left half of it on his plate. He stated, "It was mediocre at best". I am hoping that whatever has changed will change back. The staff is still friendly but the take out was very disappointing. It kills me to say these things but I hope that they get back to pre-pandemic standards and food. I will be watching other reviews to see if things improve.

Diner Review №197

Good

Diner Review №198

I ordered pad sew ew and The panang curry, they were really delicious. I would definitely come back here to try other dishes they have on the menu.

Diner Review №199

The food is great, but I needed to revise my review to 3 stars because they raised the price of food significantly, and reduced portion size.

Diner Review №200

Open for limited indoor dining now. Food is pretty good, not the best. Have good spicyness levels
