The location is just perfect for a meeting point from South OC and North OC. It is right off the highways I5/405 and there are many places to visit around the area - antique shopping, the missions, cinema, music festival by the beach, Dana Point harbor …

These Jib-associated establishments are the ONLY Thai kitchens that serve the Beef Curry Noodle Soup. I have been to Thai Restaurants around the world, and I have never found something even close. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Horrible, Service is the worse food was cold and small portions.. Is overpriced.

Their vegetables consist of potatoes only in their curry dishes, no more vegetables are used. You have to pay for those as extras.
The rice is stickyyyyyyy. It's not jasmine rice.
Very little sauce in their dishes.
It seems ever since COVID and the other restaurant next to them closed the quality went away.
Seems like everything is Ala carte now and is expensive to begin with.

The size of plates and food is extremely small.

Nice enough staff, and a good looking spot to dine in although a bit of a maze.
The meals we ordered were not good however, completely overcooked shrimp almost beyond what you could call edible, poorly prepared and mushy vegetables, overly salty/underseasoned gravies, and shockingly small portion sizes. Portion size to cost ratio is terribly skewed, I would be unhappy paying half of what the dishes cost, a frozen version at Trader Joe’s would cost far less, be more authentic, and taste infinitely better. I am not certain what I ate was Thai food at all, which may reflect the seemingly nonsensical menu options littered with puns to the point of being nearly incomprehensible.
This place has quality wait staff, excellent location, and the area attracts foodies, now the kitchen only needs to rethink their baffling interpretation of food. I don’t think I can stomach going back anytime soon, but I wish them well as I ponder why Google can’t allow me to give 0/5 stars for ‘Food’.

Authentic high quality Thai restaurant with all the staff actually being from Thailand and speaking fluent Thai.

Moderately busy with a lot of happy regulars still immediate seating even during the lunch rush.

1 long hair in my entree, then 2 short hairs in my wife's entree. It would seem they're sending us mixed messages.

Avoid Panda Express and come here. Make good decisions for yourself and chow down some Thai. The food is lit and the seats are a treat

Pathetic place for vegetarian food. We can only say it for the food we tried so not sure about the non-veg items but we tried 3 different items and they all were super sweet and no other flavor. We could barely finish it and the only reason we did it because we do not believe in wasting food.

Amazing food, I would rate as best Thai in the area. Really good cocktails as well. Ambiance is average but in strip mall as good as can be expected.

Love this place! If you’re looking for authentic, not commercialized Thai food with clean, healthy ingredients (fresh veggies!) and no MSG, look no further! I ordered the Green Jungle (green curry & vegetables) substituting tofu for shrimp - this be my “go to” dish from now on. The service is very prompt and friendly and the portions are generous.

I love this place. My girlfriend took me out to dinner for my birthday and I chose this restaurant for the delicious food. It was Oct 30th so everyone was in costume at the bar so we had dinner in the bar and it was amazing. I had so much fun and when the waitresses in costumes sang happy birthday to me - everyone in the bar area sang too. It was so heartwarming!! Thank you!

Not a great first impression. We heard good things about this place and wanted to enjoy it. Sadly, just about everything about it was, in a word, mediocre. We had Pad Thai and yellow curry chicken, both of which really didn't have much flavor. The service was adequate, but not friendly or fast and overall, the restaurant came across as not very clean.

Not a big deal to some people, but really challenging for us was that there was a big group of what appeared to be regulars sitting at the bar who went outside every 5 minutes to smoke and because they were literally right outside the door and because the door was constantly opening and closing, the whole place reeked of cigarette smoke.

There are at much better Thai options in the area.

Best Thai restaurant in Orange County! The staff is friendly and you will get excellent service while quenching your taste buds. If you are I'm North OC this place is worth driving to!

Ordered through Uber Eats, so maybe that was the problem, but my family as a whole did not like this place. Delivered food is never as good as going to a restaurant, but this was disappointing. Bill for 4 was $113.00.

Our favorite Thai restaurant right here in our home town! Excellent food - Fire Eater Chicken and Pad Thai my favorites - friendly staff and personal attention from even the owners combined with an amazing wine selection and full bar make this a place we return to over and over.

We found this restaurant when we took a cat we rescued to a nearby doctor. We were pleasantly surprised hen our lunches came with nice soup and salads. The food was tasty, and the servicefast and friendly.

I just ordered a chicken Pad Thai where are the portion of noodles was a quarter of a fist full. I called and asked, the person who answered the phone said that they have change the portions. The Pad Thai was, what’s Pad Thai with no noodles?👎🏻

But...when we walked in she didn't greet us and then just walked us to the table, dropped the menus, and just continued walking without saying anything. The chairs looks dirty and stained. The menus were disgusting and had oil and food on them. I don't understand why it had such a high rating, and the photos are very deceiving.

Let me begin by saying we have eaten here quite a few times. And up until now, the food has been very good.
But tonight, while the service was good, it is disappointing to have to say that the food appears to have gone down hill in quality.
For a Thai restaurant, the food was thoroughly uninspired, and almost tasteless.
The Chicken Drunken Noodles and the Beef Se-ew had little to no sauce and were just bland.
The Crab Fried Rice tasted like a pile of white rice with scrambled egg and shredded crab. I did not see the large lump crab meat mentioned in the dish's description, it looked nothing like fried rice, and was the blandest dish of the three.
Perhaps the restaurant was having an off night, or there has been a major change in the kitchen staff. Who knows? So we will give Thai Juan On another chance at redemption. Here's hoping they can do just that!

We were excited to try something new and the Google ratings were 4.5. The food was bland, lacking in both spices and any heat whatsoever. Their equivalent to a fresh spring roll (Handroll Salad ) was cabbage, bean sprout and tofu with a peanut sauce. The cabbage was all you could taste; tofu was almost nonexistent. On its own, very dull. So, they add a ton of peanut sauce which overpowers the dull roll. I give it a 1 out of 5 for fresh spring roll. Next, we ordered Old Macdonald / Kao Phat and Veggie Veggie / Pak Phat. Again, both lacked spices. The Pak Phat was a little overpowering with only the taste of fish sauce, that is, no other spices to balance it out. I give that a 2 out of 5. The Kao Phat, took on the taste of the wok, which I like in a fried rice. The chicken was, as expected, dull. No spices or character. I give this a 3 out of 5 only because I like the flavor of the wok when it comes to fried rice. At this point, my rating is balancing to a solid 2 out of 5. Two other factors. Bathroom was discussing, the toilet needed cleaning, badly. My wife decided to wait until we got home. Also, this morning the food was still in our stomachs, which is unusual Thai is usually easily digestible. We were hoping this was going to be a good place.

We ordered 4 dishes chicken satay, the yellow curry the panang and pad Thai. Man. I can still taste the preservatives in my mouth from a dinner hours ago. The food was over priced and tasted like it was frozen. The yellow curry tasted like trade Joe's sauce mixed with chicken and onions.

The chicken satay was 10 bucks for 4 small pieces. This food sucked. To add to that the food was ready within 5 min and left behind the counter in the kitchen. I physically had to go ask the waitress for the food and within 3 minutes all 4 dishes came out. How the heck can that happen? I literally saw my food sitting in an aisle in the kitchen waiting the entire time. So they create this facade that they're creating fresh food for you so it takes a long time but it's really just heavily preservatives and tastes like trader Joe's sauce.

Never again.

Ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp. Flavors were good and shrimp were juicy. Portion was on the small side. Had to go home and make a sandwich after. Bar looks lively. Would come back when I’m not starving.

It actually pains me to write this review because my first experience with Thai Juan On was outstanding and the staff is hands down the best. It’s been 2Ish years since my first visit and like I said before, it was amazing. But my recent visit was very disappointing.

The quality of the food was terrible. I ordered the crying tiger and the meat tasted like it was the pre-cooked beef that’s sold at Walmart. The meat tasted chalky and fake. My first visit tasted like it was made from the heart but this time everything tasted like cheap frozen food. The spicy lime was amazing, but not good enough to overcome the rest of my order.

I’ve ordered takeout from here 3 times. First 2 times were great. This last time however was super disappointing. The Pad Thai lacked flavor and the fried rice looked and tasted like white rice mixed with egg. Not sure if this is because we picked up just an hour before closing or what happened. Bummer because I thought we’d found our Thai place.

Their spicy lime sauce was AMAZING! Paired with their grilled beef that was perfectly cooked (super soft and juicy) was a match made in food heaven. Their pat thai was also very good. The place was very quiet and lonesome but with COVID, what are you to expect? The waitress was very friendly and attentive.

I really enjoy this spot. Drunken noodles are dynamite - fun fact, not as good when you take them to go, fresh FTW.
My cocktail (Negroni) was a bit overcome by the huge ice cube lol.
But almost each dish we have had here has been very flavorful with good quality ingredients.
It is our go to in the neighborhood for Thai for sure!

Decided to try a new restaurant. Upon entering we were greeted but had to wait for a few tables to be cleared. After about 5 minutes we got seated by the host. We waited for about 15 minutes and were greeted by our waitress. She wanted to know what we wanted to drink, and then we placed our order at the same time. We ordered Pad See Eww (not sure of spelling) along with a chicken fried rice dish which we asked if they could add fresh pineapple. We must have waited at least 15 more minutes as we getting impatient for our drinks. No water was brought to us while waiting. The people who sat behind us had issues with their food order. The family that sat across from us kept waiting and waiting for someone to take their order too and they sat down way after we did. Yet, all the while this is going on, we noticed two male workers who were just passing time talking with other patrons oblivious. Our drinks *finally* arrived. Then we waited for our two dishes. Woo hoo they arrived and were nice sized portions. On the table your dinner plate is that of a bread plate. So, we served ourselves and realized they never brought the chili pepper/vinegar/dried chili condiments. So, we try to find our waitress, but got another worker there. We are brought a small saucer of red chili paste. Not exactly what we wanted, but okay. We both found the noodles bland and the chicken had zero flavor. The rice was good, it was fluffy, but again - not enough flavor. They also used bland canned pineapple chucks l - we asked for fresh as the dish was a special order. For Thai food you want flavor! Spices, citrus, heat, sweetness...our food had none of that. The Chang bottled beer was good. The wine my partner had was good. The check was dropped off and we asked for to-go boxes. We were brought them. The people behind us had still not been served their food and the family across from our table - half had been served and were eating and the other half still waiting for their food. We paid our bill and left. One hour and 40 minutes later. Don't think we will be back to Thai Juan On.

Thai Juan On has the most amazing food in the entire state of California! Though I have tried a lot of Thai restaurants, I literally can’t bring myself to try another one after having found this place! Their dishes are each unique in their own way and just about everything I’ve had has been amazing! A couple of my favorites which I highly recommend are Crying Tiger and Golden Thread. If you follow my advice and try this place you won’t go to another Thai restaurant after!

Best Thai food , great managment owners , funny menu , tasty quality food you crave

Our party of 6 arrived 9:30pm and online they show closing 10pm. No other customers around and they gladly took us. Well we didn’t finish eating until 10:30pm so we kept them 30 mins past closing time. That did not result in poor service in fact it was Stella how accommodating they were and btw food was good also.
