Authentic Thai cuisine located in San Dimas and Ontario. Customers will feel like they are dining in Thailand as the restaurant is decorated with teakwood carvings and Thai sculptures. Lucky Elephant was founded 15 years ago and awarded for high standard of quality and cuisine by the Thailand's Ministry of Commerce.
We took a new member of our team out for a welcome lunch. We needed a place that was large enough to accommodate 11 people without having to wait too long. We were seated right away. The atmosphere was nice with Thai decor and many images of "Lucky Elephants". They have weekday lunch specials that include soup, egg roll, rice (except for noodle dishes) and your lunch entrees. The green curry is my favorite with coconut milk, pork and bamboo shoots. We also got some coconut ice cream desert which was a great way to end the meal.
This place is just so feel like youβre in Thailand. I was in the area visiting my friend and wanted to have some Thai food. Right when we get inside I already liking it, so many different kinds of π elephants ( unfortunately I didnβt take much pics of it) the atmosphere was great. Food was so good not too salty, itβs just tasty. Service was pretty good too and theyβre so busy after 7pm. If you happen in the area, try the food here and for sure youβll love it too.
Good food reasonably priced, decent service and speed. Can't ask for more! Had the duck a couple of times which is nice to even find these days on a menu.
(5/14/2023) Service and atmosphere was excellent and friendly as well in Mother's day. Prices was okay but lunch special deal was very good for now. Ordered Pad Thai (Tofu), Panang Curry (Seafood), Elephant Fried Rice, and Cashew Nuts (Chicken) which was good especially Curry is very smooth and tasty as well but Elephant Fired Rice wasn't very special to me. Probably recommend Curry items because it is delicious, and it is one of the Thai restaurant to come back in the future.
This is OUTSTANDING Thai food plus you're attended to as if you were at a 5 star restaurant. Don't know what the low reviews are all about this place was FIRE. EVERYTHING WE ATE was fresh fresh fresh. 3 courses, they nailed each one, and then some. From the huge mushrooms in our soup to the cut bright green beans I wasn't expecting (happy surprise) in the Pad Kee Mao. Only suggestion to newcomers is up the heat, medium-spicy was more on the mild side. Everything was wonderful, full of classy locals and the entire restaurant was packed by 6pm. I secretly wished they still had the white tablecloths. Because this is a restaurant certainly worthy of them.
This place serves amazing Thai food and is simply delicious. They give you amazing proportions and every dish is made uniquely with great flavor. The atmosphere is very welcoming from all staff members and the inside is simply beautiful. I would recommend this place to any family or couple.
Fab food and service in a beautiful restaurant.
Good food reasonably priced, decent service and speed. Can't ask for more! Had the duck a couple of times which is nice to even find these days on a menu.
Excellent service really good food will be going back soon π
Fantastic service, atmosphere, and food!
Best Thai food in the area!
Wonderful food, arrives quickly
Yummy π
Go here. Eat here. Come back again. Its really good. Good flavors good service well made food. Very much worth a visit.
Delicious food with lots of choices. Nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Definitely going back.
None
I love their dishes and the low-key yet ellegant atmosphere and excellent service. My family and I have been coming here for years, and the flavors are consistent. If you like Thai food, I highly recommend it.
Always good dishes.
So rude
Always good
Good food and friendly service.
We dine in for my sonβs eighth grade promotion lunch and everything was delicious this place I highly highly recommend!
It's like being in Thailand. Great people, service and ambiance.
Man you won't expect to see the spectacle that you do when you walk in. It is seriously like walking into Thailand. The atmosphere is awesome the food is delicious and the staff are great. A hidden treasure for sure.
rude place
This spot is so chill and the staff is very friendly, the did is amazing!
Ontario location is better. I ordered veggie curry here and they got an old chicken curry took out the chicken and gave me that. Found small chunks of it in my yellow curry and then they actually made me a fresh one. Chow Mein however was very delicious as the one in Ontario

Those emperor shrimp rolls are π₯. This place is cozy but with plenty of seating. It's very beautifuly decorated and has a nice atmosphere. I would bring someone here if I was introducing a them to thai cuisine.
Definitely one of the best Thai food restaurants in the Inland Empire. I went to the San Dimas location, the ambiance in the restaurant was excellent, the owners are working in the restaurant and very welcoming to their customers. Havenβt even gotten to the food. Their chicken curry is excellent, perfectly spicy, with plenty of chicken and the portion is enough for two. Same can be said for the Chicken Pad Thai. Great food and great value.
Food taste good and fresh, love the Thai Tea, friendly atmosphere for kids.
I'm not from Thai, but I had way better.
I order on my way home from a trip for our family of 4 and choose to give this a try. For starters, the menu stated Pad See Ew was $15 with your choice of beef, chicken, or pork. And $3 extra for shrimp. When ordering, it actually charges $2 more for beef choice. Then I wanted extra veggies and, to which the option did not have an extra charge. so I thought the $2 were for the extra veggies.
Upon picking up, no veggies and still $17 for the Pad see ew with beef. I let the cashier know, and she said it was charged for what was paid. And since I didn't pay for the veggie, it was not put on. She did not want to honor the pricing with beef. I then told her to then update their ordering website and change the label because it's wrong " $15 with your choice of beef, chicken or pork." Customers should not be made responsible for THEIR mistakes.
Flavor wise, it's okay, but nothing special. Astonishingly, Spiciness is a sprinkle of powdered pepper???
I'll stick to Sweety Hut in West Covina, even if I have to drive longer!
This is our family secret gem. We love going here all the time. It's super delicious and the decor is so cute!!
Excellent food and attentive servers. We will come back the next time we are craving Thai cuisine.
First Time, enjoyed π
Came for Christmas Eve dinner and it was wonderful! Great food, great service and a fun evening.
A very nice experience all the way around!!
Outright racist behavior by cashier on evening 12/3/2023. We ordered food on door dash, went to pick it up. Told cashier the name of the order, was asked for receipt, I asked if she could use phone number but declined and said needed receipt to prove I had an order as βfood gets stolen all the timeβ. Told her I can tell her specific order in it, and also asked how would I know the name of the order, but still proceeded to claim people can still steal foodβ¦not even look me in the eyes during entire encounter. I am sure you have cameras and can look back. Called and got a screenshot, when showed her, and she didnβt even look at it. Pointed at food bag behind me and said βbyeβ. What a shame! This has been my favorite thai food in town. Been going there for years. Would love to know how many food orders have been stolen. Shame, shame, shame!
So fresh and well prepared. Servings are plentiful more than expected and delicious. Highly recommend!! Great Thai cuisine

Good food, good service, good price!
Very nice restaurant. Food was great. Will definitely eat here again.
You need to buy rice separately when you get your curry. Never heard or seen that before. Food is okay. Not much flavor.
By far the best Thai Cuisine I've had. Stopped here while traveling to Ontario and i was highly impressed with the decor and the service. Moreover, i was really impressed with the quality of the food. Very cost effective!
We came on a Sunday around 6pm and it was almost empty - easy for us to get a table for 12! The staff is all very polite and professional, and just the way the tables are laid out with wine glasses...it all looks very fancy and not like most family-owned Thai restaurants around. We got the pad see ew and the yellow curry. Both were delicious and good portion sizes! We also appreciated that they had plastic toddler plates for our little ones!
Delicious food! Amazing atmosphere!

Very beautiful restaurant surpassed by their service. I had three crying little kids and they were very accommodating. Thank you! Food is good too. A little different take on flavor, but still very good .
Not much flavor on the food
Great lunch specials π
The food was delicious!
Excellent food and service
Being here makes me feel so comforted and calm. I love the wooden interior structure and the little elephants all around the restaurant. Best Thai food I've had (I've definitely had a lot!). I have been coming here for 15 years. I love both the lunch and dinner but I really recommend going for lunch as you get a lovely portion of your dish with a delicious egg roll and side of rice. Thai iced tea and panang curry with chicken (or chicken pad see ew too!) is my fav <3
Thai donuts, you'll thank me later
What a hidden gem in San Dimas. Food was excellent and the service was great. We went for a week night dinner and had a lovely time. Pad Thai noodles and pineapple fried rice were delish! Can't wait to go back.
Very good food, kinda expensive. Go here for a fancier date or special occasion.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and attentive service.
You can never go wrong at the Elephant.
The place seems very authentic. The decor, the ambience and fresh food.
In my opinion a little overpriced but you get a great portion to share or if is lunch a smaller portion with soup and spring roll.
It was good
Food is always delicious
Horrible experience. We waited for over an hour to get our food and still didn't get it. We will never go this place again. Plus customer service was awful
Flavorful dishes, good sized takeout portions. March 4 I picked up panang curry with chicken and mango sticky rice. Both were tasty and enjoyable. Their food is consistent and so far I have enjoyed everything I tried. They have lunch specials as well. I spent $27 for the two items.
Tasteless food, The food need more spice. The quality is super fast, an expected better.
Que delicia de comida
We had a party of four and ordered Pad See Ewe with Beef, Massaman curry with tofu, BBQ Chicken, Pad Woon Sen, white rice, Thai tea, and hot tea.
The food was great, and my favorite for the evening was mixing the rice with the curry.
While the service was good, it was not great. The staff was friendly, yet they seemed short-staffed for a dinner time. It took a while to get my check.
Great food, good service. I recommend the emperor's shrimp rolls.
10.04.22 730pm
If I could get this yellow curry exactly this way every single time I would never go anywhere else for curry . Ever ! So good thank you π π
Food is good, nice atmosphere. Not super but reasonable
Great food and service
Our favorite Thai restaurant. Been going here for almost 20 years. Very clean. Sweet staff. Every dish is great, but we practically drink the panang like there was no tomorrow. Watch out, they do make it spicy even at level 2.
Excellent food. Sooo good
Best food and fast service love the place β€οΈ
My son and I got food poisoning after we had dinner at the San Dimas location. We ate the βRAD NAβ, Stir-fried flat noodles with beef, Chinese broccoli, with gravy sauce. Soon after we had the following symptoms: diarrea, abdominal pain, nausea.
We went back to the restaurant the next day to talk to the manager and the hostess on duty said they were unavailable. The hostess recommend to go to the emergency room hospital to get a doctorβs report. We asked for manager and owner information and she declined. This is why I decided to do a review to warn and prevent any other people from getting food poisoning and lack of assistance from the restaurant.
We are currently sitting at the emergency room right now. To be continued.
Still pretty good but the quality of bone in catfish tastes very muddy river like. We've been going here on and off about 12yrs. Large portions & it's a big place. Mushy fried rice w crab π¦ needs help. Eggplant π is great. Shrimp π€ donuts tasty.
First time diners and we will definitely return!
The food is good, the service is slow, they charge for everything $2.00 for one tiny cup of tea and $9.00 for two small/medium glasses of thai tea Way Too High...and the menu is very pricey, I ordered mango rice and they never put it on the order...I ordered spicy pad thai noodles and they forgot so I had to send it back and mind you, the restaurant was Not busy...I visited once because of the reviews on yelp and will never visit again...there are many other places around that serve good thai food and the service is spot on and the prices are very reasonable...
Food taste has gone down but not the price.
Always great food and great service
The food is fresh and flavorful. Friends say it's very good. Menu has something for everyone from vegetarian, fish, pork and beef. Lunch specials are large portions. Been back three times now.
This place has changed in their level of service over the years--perhaps due to the stress of Covid. We all have to deal with it in the best way we can, including in our jobs. As a teacher, I have experienced great challenges as well, but still provide the service that is expected.
This was my review from 2019, before Covid--had given 5 stars originally:
What a wonderful experience!
Delicious Thai food with gracious, welcoming, and attentive servers. The decor is breathtakingly beautiful with exquisite wood carvings throughout the restaurant.
This was our second visit. Highly recommended!
This is my review 4/30/22:
The food is still good and the atmosphere is beautiful, but there isn't that same friendly, happy feeling throughout the restaurant and from some of the servers.
On 4/29/22, I took my mom there for her birthday. In The United States, it's customary to give the person celebrating their birthday a complimentary dessert--usually cake, pie, or ice cream. Many places also sing "Happy Birthday." I realize this is an asian restaurant and I don't expect them to sing, although it would have been nice.
However, if people want to live and do business in a country, they should follow the traditions and customs of that country in terms of how they do business. In this case, provide the complimentary dessert for the birthday celebration without restrictions or a negative attitude, which is what we got.
After I made this request, the waitress was hesitant, but said that she could bring some Thai donuts (very small donut holes) with a little cream sauce. I paid with a credit card and a coupon from Valentine's Day (I very rarely use any kind of coupon).
One of the workers came back with the receipt to sign, etc. and said that I shouldn't use a coupon with the request for the complimentary dessert--wow, cheap donut holes! She said that she gave me the credit this time. It was like a parent or teacher saying, "Don't do that again!"
It's their responsibility to tell me that they can't take the coupon before they complete the transaction. It's their business, not mine.
I would rather have had a pleasant experience, not ruined at the end as it was, than get a few dollars off!
They lag more than any other restaurant Iβve been to and they donβt care about the customers
I love this place. The lunch specials are best. My favorite is the massamon curry. I get extra steamed veggies. Don't leave without trying the fresh coconut ice cream and banana bits. They can accommodate larger groups. I have my birthday here every year. Soup is great!
They forgot to make part of our order and then 45 min later asked if we wanted to cancel the order because they forgot to make it. And then once they finally brought it out it was closing time so they wanted us to pay right away without letting us enjoy the food and the evening.
This place serves amazing Thai food and is simply delicious. They give you amazing proportions and every dish is made uniquely with great flavor. The atmosphere is very welcoming from all staff members and the inside is simply beautiful. I would recommend this place to any family or couple.
We went as a party of 16 staff was friendly and polite. Food was great and very accomidating with some orders I'm lactose don't hate Lol. In all a great place with good people and great food thank you we shall be back π
Clean. Good portions. Cool decor. Barely know English though.
Good service
Can accommodate large groups. Excellent service from great staff. Wonderful varied food.
Tom kah gai: big chunk of uncooked mushroom sub par taste
Pad thai: almost as if you went to Thailand and got it there
Pineapple fried rice: spiciness 0, taste 3 outta 5, the ingredients are there but missin that kick.
Price a tad on the expensive side
Service is good
We came here since its walking distance from room
The pad thai is top tier. You should order it now
A nice variety of dishes available, huge dining area.
Nice atmosphere, meat a little chewey needs better cuts or tenderizer.
Not what it used to be.
Hope it gets better.
Slow service every time Iβve been here.
Wow!!! My wife is Chineze and we were on the way home from a work project when she found this place on her phone/internet and called to see if they had the house special pork tripe and spare rib soup available. We were hungry and over ordered a late lunch so plenty of leftovers for the next day. Lunch special duck, spring rolls appetizer, and noodle dish along with the soup and Thai iced tea of coarse! All were excellent and we will definitely return. It's a family restaurant with another location in Upland/Montclair? Great food and hospitality.
I love this place. Their food is really good and there is very little wait for your meal. My go to dish is always the pad see ew.
Excelente !!!
I like Thai food but considering the price and quality, there are many better restaurants than this one in San Dimas
Excellent taste - - good variety of Thai/asian dishes. Prompt and friendly service. But the price is getting high. Still I will return for another dinner order in the future. I wish this business lots of success!
Thanks for reserving separate area for our group. I must highlight the smiling and coperative nature of team managing our space throughout, giving us time from the begining to the end of stay. We ordered the delicious emperor shrimp, chicken sa-tey and lucky elephant platter. Soup tom-ka with tofu. For main course ordered pad thai with flat noodles, yellow chicken curry and musaman chicken curry. All dishes were delectable to the palates and eyes. And finished the stay by ordering the mango sticky rice, awesome. We had great time at the restaurant.
They are not flexible for vegetarians. For the lunch special, they only offer chicken soup as an option and when I asked to replace the chicken soup with a veggie soup or a drink, they did not allow for that. So not a friendly restaurant accommodating to dietary needs.
The food was good but for the prize, the portions are small and chsrge for everything separate even the rice.
Great food and great staff! Very kind and knowledgeable. Sizes are huge. Totally should check them out!
Horrible customer service! Food isnβt very pleasing. The lady was very rude and not nice at all! Would give zero if I could. Itβs not difficult to be nice.
Pretty good food. Ill come back again
A very enjoyable meal.
Attentive service.
倧豑πζεͺζΉηθ΅·οΌεζ―εΉΈθΏε€§θ±‘οΌθ½ηΆ let me waited 10 minutes.
I've had fast food Thai that was far greater than this place.
Good food and service
Been going here for years ... love this place
Waited 30 minutes for chicken pad Thai and got it after I complained. I don't mind waiting for good food, but the chicken was so dry and tough I couldn't even eat it. I gave it to my dog.
