Super quick order time and food preparation. Quality was immaculate and prices are very reasonable for the Ocean View area. I enjoyed my meal on thanksgiving when I did not have a family dinner to come home to. They welcomed me with hospitality and made me feel thankful to be in San Diego

Got the veg soup, very refreshing and flavorful. The green curry with spice level 8 was full filling. Quantity was great, good to share among 2-3 people. The pad Thai was average. Mango sticky rice was amazing.

Pure Thai & Vegetarian Cuisine is a hidden gem! We tried their lunch special, which is incredibly affordable without compromising on flavor. We ordered the Chicken Thai Fried Rice and Sweet and Sour Chicken, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. Pure Thai is hands-down, one of my partner and I’s favorite restaurant. Their food is consistently delicious and the staff always have a warm welcome. We work at a Hostel nearby and recommend it to every guest! 10/10 would suggest trying this place out/ adding it to your favorites list! 😊

pad thai was made with ketchup not tamarind paste which was super disappointing.

Placing the order is quick as well as the pickup. Food is great and so are the teas.

I went here with my 2 sisters based on the reviews. I had the mango curry, mildly spicy with chicken. The mango curry is beyond amazing. After I took my first bite my exact words were “pure heaven”! I’m bringing my husband back!

- the parking spot is tight and small. My auto had scratches because other guests backed up. When we were there after dinner, they were still sitting in the car and did nothing. It was dark and we have not discovered those scratches until next morning in garage :(

The food was subpar. The service was very slow. The restroom smelled like urine on the walls. We will not return to this establishment.

I like this for takeout and also for hot dishes. Close by my home and we enjoy for dinner.

Honestly the pad Thai was great but… I’ve had a lot of papaya salads and this one was almost inedible. It was super salty and tons of lime juice and somehow no flavor. Service was friendly and the place was nice but if you like papaya salads this place isn’t for you.

Food was amazing and so was the service! I ordered the pad see-iw noodles were perfect and so was the chicken, vegetables were also the perfect amount of tender! Will come again.

We have just been here for dinner. We tried different types of fried rice ( spicy basil fried rice, pineapple fried rice, Thai fried rice ) , out of these spicy basil fried rice was little better than others. We also tried Tom Yum Soup but disappointed with it. Curry puffs were okay, and I finally tried sticky mango rice. It was good.

Great food especially spring rolls!

This place was just okay. I got the Hor Mok, which was "fresh shrimps, calamari, scallops, mussel, bell pepper and Thai Basil stuffed in a young coconut with homemade curry sauce." The curry sauce was not spicy enough and tasted too sweet. It wasn't emulsified enough in my opinion. The calamari was chewy and inedible, however the shrimp was good. I wouldn't order it again. I also got the pineapple fried rice- "pineapple, raisin, pea, carrot, onion and egg." This was really good, with good flavor, I just wish the pineapple was cut up in smaller chunks so I could enjoy a bit in each bite. Food was not as expected, but service was quick & kind.

PURE THAI

This is one of my favorite San Diego Thai restaurants. They are always serving with professionalism; and the food is delicious!  I so much enjoyed the eggplant 🍆 tofu dish! However this time I resorted to my old favorite--Panaag Curry. This food is good! ...  It just moves me to want to try every vegetarian dish here at least once!
.....Most days it's hard to find a nice quite restuarant to eat at; but this place has no loud music playing of any kind at this time.
--- I appreciate the - peace - that comes in silence with my meal.

The location might not be the most appealing but their food was great.
The name is a little confusing and made us feel that we were going to an all vegetarian spot but it is not the case. However, the staff is very good and catered to our vegetarian needs perfectly.
Their food is delicious and we were very happy with the flavors and their service. The spicy basil fried rice, mango curry, and garlic edamame were some of our favorites. Our kids also enjoyed their green curry along with their wantons.

the attention to detail was very much appreciated. the flavor is great and the spicy level was perfect (level 3) could probably do spicier but it’s a good base level if you’re unsure. definitely worth the price for this amount 👍🏼

I love coming here with friends and alone, the food is always very yummy and fresh. I remember when they first opened about a decade ago. I always get the thai tea with boba (the thai coffee is hecka strong but delicious and gives you lots of energy). The staff is always super polite and food/drink always delivered timely. A classic SD Thai restaurant. Highly recommended.

This was probably the absolute worst Thai take out ever. Egg rolls greasy and soggy, curry is sooo watery with just a few tiny pieces of protein and hard green beans added to it? Pad see ew actually had to go into garbage, uneatable. And it was all bland, no flavor or seasoning of any kind what so ever. Mango sticky rice was green? Rice was hard and mango tasted like chewing sn old card box.... Was truly looking forward to trying this place but will never go back. Spent a little over a $100 and it's all went into trash....

I don't get the whole 4.6 stars avrrage. People need to really review ... I tried this place out and after 160 bucks and a pretty upset stomach am very meh about this place. Nothing was very good ... Orange chicken was, where's the chicken, lots of breading, the yellow chicken curry was ok but very watery, pineapple fried rice was boring as was the pad Thai, maybe we need to add more heat to the meal but there are other ways to add flavor with out heat. And mandatory 18 percent for a group of 6 when no one was in the restaurant and come on ... That's illegal if I ask you to take it off. Such is life. I will never go and the 3 stars is generous ... And the server wearing dirty shorts. That's a solid 18 percent tip experience.

We have been going to this restaurant for several years and have probably been there 100 times. We always tip well even on take out orders. We are vegetarians and always order such. Tonight I placed an order on speaker phone and the employee said chicken regarding one of the dishes. I corrected her and said tofu. She repeated everything back correctly vegetarian. This was heard by two of us. When we brought our food home, it included a chicken dish instead of tofu. When we returned to the restaurant, she insisted we had ordered chicken to the point where it almost became an argument. We gave them the chicken dish back and ended up paying twice for one of the tofu dishes. It was worth it to avoid the conflict and to realize that $15 was more important to them than our years of being good customers. We will never go back.

Such a relaxed and comfortable environment to dine on propper thai dishes. Green Curry was excellent as was the thai iced tea! Definitely wish this place was in my neighborhood.

The food is good but my mom got sick and my brother did as well . I know the food tasted fresh but maybe not the meats . Also they were short staffed and i had to keep asking for things we needed on our table such as seasonings to water . Great spot! I pulled into the parking lot to go to the taco shop next door, but when I saw this place, I recognized the name from Uber Eats. I moved into the neighborhood recently, so I'm still learning about my new local options. I ordered a curry dish, yellow, with brown rice and mock duck as the protein. It was great! I ordered to go but hung out while I waited. I caught the end of the Michigan University championship game. I noticed the place was clean, had a nice vibe, and the seating was comfortable. It might be a place where I would watch another game. Most people don't think of watching sports at a Thai restaurant. I'm anxious to try some of the other dishes. What I ordered was flavorsome, tender, and packaged well. I will return
