First time dinning in with my husband. Though I have been ordering out for months now. My husband and I we like this food. When we came inside my husband thought that maybe it was a private event that I went up to the counter and asked if we were able to dine in cause there was a large group of people and they were singing.
So we were able to sit down anywhere we wanted and we enjoyed the live singing that anyone that has the courage to go up and sing can.
The food was good. The spicy basil was really good and lots of flavor. The fried egg I would have want the yoke runny . The fried rice needed more seasoning or something.
Over all it was good.
The dim sum they are super small. I can go to T4 u and get dim sum 2 of them half of price what I paid which it was $8.
The shrimp roll it was different thin layer only with shrimp. I think it was $9 maybe not to sure. Would I buy it again? No.
The ladies were working hard they were nice. They just gave us the wrong straws since we were not able to drink up the jelly's lol.
Do I recommend this place?? Yes! I do!
The food is delicious and is at a good price. We ordered the Eggplant Delight and the Mango Curry and was very satisfied with both! The eggplant had a flavorful sear on it, was deeply purple in color, and succeeded in being the center of the dish, while all the other vegetables tasted fresh and had a good crunch to them. Yummy!
This was lunch on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't very busy inside so we got our food pretty quickly.
I am very interested in coming back for dinner at some point, because it looks like they have live music from time to time. I am very impressed from the recording that was playing on their TV.
June 16, 2024 Update: we went back for dinner and just loved the live jazz performance! I especially l9ved the trumpeter, his solos, and the motifs / reference to others songs that he discreetly played while doing his solo. The food was amazing too!
We went last night with another couple, so we got to try quite a few things on the menu. We were really happy with it! The larb salad had a nice crunch to it, and both the pad thai and drunken noodles were yummy! Shrimp was cooked just right, not rubbery. I was particularly impressed with how they handled the spiciness level – our spicy preferences are all over the map between the four of us, and they got it just right on all counts.
I also really appreciated the simple menu organization - lots of good solid choices but not a million things; all the classics you’d expect without the overwhelm. Boba was really good too! (I got Thai iced tea to try it this first time time and I thought it was good - sweet, but not sickly sweet like some can be.)
It wasn’t crowded, the service was good, and the food came out really fast. Definitely recommend, and we will absolutely be back!
Food was delicious, atmosphere was beautiful, music & service was great, what’s not to love?! I always order delivery or to go, but today I decided to eat inside, I ordered the Pad prik king w rice (Medium Spice) & Pad Thai, it was delicious! The chicken wings, Larb & Fried Banana w/ Ice cream is also good! If you want something sweet to drink, I definitely would recommend the Strawberry Chiang Mai Shake! (They have other flavors if you don’t like strawberry!!)☺️
I have been to this location a few times. It has been really delicious every time. Yellow curry is amazing and pad Thai is phenomenal. It is a bit on the pricey side $14 for the pad Thai but worth it and portions are very filling. I also recommend getting the hot tea and some appetizers. The service is friendly but you may have to wait a bit for things due to what seems to be limited staff. Overall I highly recommend them.
Really delicious Thai food! We had the pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp with cashews and it was very good. The eggplant delight was also so yummy but a little spicy at spice level 1. You get a choice of meat with it and we got chicken and it was very delicious. The shrimp rolls were also very tasty. The service was fast and friendly. They have boba drinks too. Highly recommend!!
I came in on Saturday after the new opening and had a great experience!
The egg rolls were delicious, and my red curry with shrimp was very flavorful. My friends had the drunken noodle with chicken and pad see ew with fried tofu. Both dishes looked great, and they said they enjoyed them.
I would definitely come back am adding it to my list of favorite Thai spots in Sacramento!
I order from this restaurant through DoorDash and the food was always good. However, it looks like they raised their prices BY ALMOST $5. $19.75 for yellow curry? That is insane!
Great service. A little on the spicier side so order wisely although food and flavors taste amazing. And such a good service remade food because it was a bit spicy for my liking.
I come regularly for live jazz music with dinner. Food has always been great.
Very rude employees.
Very rude employees.🤢🤮😤
Incredible food! Many varieties to choose from.
A great music venue with great Thai food.
Great food and great jazz! Definitely a place to check out if you love awesome music and awesome Thai food! Make a reservation, the place sells out!

the food was absolutely bomb! literally never had food look AND taste that good!
Their food is not as good as I thought. I have had better authentic Thai food else where. This place sucks, I order the boat noodle and ask for chili oil and fish sauce to make my noodle taste better, so they bring me a small container of chili oil and charge extra $1 for the condiments. A lot of the restaurants that I have been to have all those condiments on each table at no extra charge for their customers because everyone have their own spice preference. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Tasty Thai food in a cool relaxed atmosphere!
Came here to hear my friend Cathy West-Packard sing a Bette Midler concert and had the MOST AMAZING potstickers. Great service and food...and a wonderful atmosphere! So very many tasty things to try on my next visit!
Amazing food, amazing music. Best Thai tea I've ever had.
Great food! Great prices!

Food was very bland. No favor
Saw an excellent jazz show by Denise Anya and her trio. Audience was a close knit community of jazz supporters.
Customer services and food were great. Portion is on the smaller size.
The food here is amazing and expertly cooked. I don't love jazz standards of music, and that's pretty much all they play here, so we've switched to take-out.
Great dinner shows. Excellent food.
Thai food here is the best, I will recommend everyone to try out at least onece in there lifetime. Highly recommended.
Easy access from Hwy 50. Friendly staff. Fresh food. Live music up to four nights a week. Simple intimate setting. Seats about 50 people.
Amazing music. And food. A must in the Sac area. East coast sexy vibes.
Been going here for several months now and go to
the showcase night where I get to sing with friends..we always
order the food and it is simply the best with fair pricing ! Yum!
Terrific intimate music venue, featuring the best in Sacramento musicians, and excellent Thai food.
This is my new favorite local Thai spot. My go to when trying a new Thai place is Panang Curry and theirs is a really good one. You can get dishes more spicy if you want. They offer extra spice from 0 to 4. I enjoy spicy food quite a bit and I found level 0 pretty spicy. Panang Curry should have a kick, I'm guessing other dishes won't be the same, just beware.
Nice place...food and music!
I ordered thru doordash. The food arrived quickly and hot. I had the avocado green curry chicken and the drunken noodle chicken. Both were outstanding!! I will order hot #2 next time, cuz #3 burned intensely. But it was still sooo good.
Great jazz night and terrific food
Great staff. Stellar food.

Amazing musicians on the calendar several nights a week are the perfect compliment for the delicious authentic Thai food. The pumpkin curry is perfection in a bowl!
The pad see ew is always really good. They are always super friendly and have a seat for us every time that we visit. The small salad that they made for us to start with was excellent. I hope that they continue to make that salad in the future.
People are amazing great service
I love going when there are performers. Some of the people and numbers take me back to the past as a child.
We have eaten here several times for lunch, dinner, and live music nights. It is always good. The service is spot on even when they are crowded like on music nights. The food is fresh and flavorful. You can specify spice level which is great for people who are spice intolerant. Tucked away in a little shopping center, it is true gem.
Such a delight to have A place to go. GOOD food and FREE LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
This is HANDS DOWN the absolute best. The service is always great and the food is fresh, well flavored, and leaves me wanting more. There are 0 to 4 spice levels and 2 is perfect for me. There is heat but not too much.
Good food. I like their options for spice level. I don't like that they're following the trend of automated asking for tips before making the food for takeout.
They are our favorite Lunch and business meeting spot in this area. they have nice decorations in there. we bought the next door property and we love to sit here always when we have share holders meeting.
Jazz bar thai food, what's to not like?
The best Tom Yum soup I've ever had. Hands down. Super nice owner and staff.
Hear me out! This restaurant has the absolute best pad Thai in Sacramento, or heck, even across the state. Service is great, atmosphere is relaxing, but the pad Thai... I promise you'll ascend.
Live jazz music at 5 and 7 Saturday nights. Food is superb.
Probably my best experience with Thai food places so far. I enjoyed the atmosphere, neatly appointed bathroom, the tea set we were served jasmine tea in. And of course just wonderful tasting yellow chicken curry that tasted exactly like it should. That was truly the type of experience for me when you forget everything around and just enjoy the richness of flavors.
Highly recommend!
Racist. I ordered my food for pickup, prepaid for it. When I arrived to get it they behaved as if I came to steal my own food. My family and I are never going back. Kaido tastes better, and they don’t serve antiBlackness with their food.
Wonderful food. Sweet staff. Walking distance from my house. What more can I ask for?!
Definitely get the Panang Curry and Snow Tofu
Had the Thai chow mein with fried tofu and a mango shake. the food was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant was 10/10. there was a music gig the night I went and the musicians put on a great performance! if you plan to go when a gig is happening be sure to check beforehand and make reservations becuase seats will sell out
Very friendly and clean. Owner interacts with customers.
:-( The staff was great. The restaurant was nice and clean. I wanted to love it. We ordered the pad Thai, fried chicken, and spring roll. But something was not quite right. Everyone had to boom boom 💥 barely 😥 made it home.
Fantastic menu and live music! We need this
Chicken Satay and Spring Rolls were delicious!
We went here for a jazz concert. The food was great and so was the band.
This place is a treasure. The care and quality is evident, down to every last detail. As far as Thai food goes, I think it has to be the best in Sacramento. Every plate that I witnessed being served looked phenomenal. We had the Eggplant Delight w/ chicken, the Papaya Salad, and Panang Curry w/ beef. The meat was tender, the curry was rich and flavorful, and I don't think I've ever had eggplant taste that good. Word of caution... if you ask for 3 stars heat level, it will be 3 stars heat level. Meaning its gonna pack some heat! For us, this was just what we wanted. So that's the food. The music is WORLD CLASS. We saw owner/pianist Joe Gilman perform with saxophonist/flautist Mike McMullen, drummer Tim Metz, and bassist Matt Robinson. For this performance they did jazz renditions of the works J.S. Bach. It was fantastic! I advise getting on their email list and checking out their music calendar. There is tons of great music going on there constantly. So you don't only get great food, you get excellent music as well. That's a good bang for your buck! Thank you Twin Lotus Thai for serving delicious authentic Thai food and keeping the music alive!
This place has delicious food and the atmosphere is the best. I like there entertainment as well. Smooth soft music for a perfect quiet night out. It is small and you may have to make reservations.
Have been meaning to try Twin Lotus Thai for several months. Finally, yesterday, the stars aligned and at 5p on the dot Matthew opened the door for me.
The restaurant is sparkly clean. Tables have no condiment cluster or flower decoration. Yet there is much to see. As I waited for my soup supper, I discovered the many musical/poetry evenings offered each month!
From an extensive menu (I was hungry so I wanted everything!) But, due to the rainy, chilly weather I ordered a beautiful large ramen soup, a drinkable wine (Chardonnay is not my favorite) with delicious fresh mango slices for dessert.
Make this a must try, if you haven't yet been to Twin Lotus Thai!
A night of delicious food (eggplant delight)! And amazing music.
Excellent food & we will be back for your fun live music !!!
Food was delish 😋
Great food! You must try the tofu; it is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
I really like this place but I’m giving them a 4 star because the food wasn’t up to par the last time I visited. I hope I can change my review soon.
Never ate here just ordered to go. The flavor is "okay"; my food tastes like they're cutting costs lol .. I have found PAPER & some hard bone-like substances in my BONELESS chicken pieces...after you bite into it, it hasa very hard crunch then turns into a gritty, sand-like grain texture...it's horrible & wasn't on the menuu under ingredients. The menu also did not mention that my entree comes with rice so I ordered extra rice for no reason...$3 fit the smallest half cup of rice. Not to forget the portions are small as hell & ridiculously overpriced. I'll never order from this place again tbh.
Best new venue for delicious Thai food and top-notch LIVE jazz.
Great Thai in College Glen and they have live music a lot too.
Staff is lovely, food is amazing, and the place supports local musicians as a piano bar! Spicy basil was amazing, me and my friend had a great time and had a nice conversation with the staff.
I came by and picked up the Mango Curry. Very good and will probably come back very soon 🤤
AMAZING SERVICE and FANTASTIC FOOD & DRINK!! We were waiting for our car to be serviced nearby. The Husband found this restaurant online for 3 of us to have lunch. Our guest--being a strict vegetarian who also doesn't eat much--ordered Thai beverages which were perfect for her. Very flavorful and even mildly spicy has a bit of a punch. 😅 I would highly recommend Twin Lotus Thai to anyone in my circle or anyone looking to enjoy a good meal along with top-notch service. ~K
Delicious food and drink .super clean and nice place, marvelous atmosphere, great music. I will return more often, for sure.
First, and foremost, we found this place when searching for jazz clubs in the area and could not be more happy. Not only is Joe Gilman an amazing jazz pianist, but he has a variety of artists coming in and the venue is small and very up close and personal.
As an added bonus, the food and service are very good! It's a friendly, family run business.
This was an easy 5 star experience. Average looking from the outside because it is at the end of a strip mall. (Easy parking!) But very nice inside - well decorated. Very clean with super clean bathrooms. The service was excellent. Our food was delicious- 2 curries and pad thai. Our thai iced teas were good and have an unusual presentation (in a good way) that you will discover if you order one. All the dishes at our table and others look good visually. The extra touch in presentation is very nice. We will be going back often!
Excellent food. Live music is such a pleasant surpise.
Good authentic Thai food, friendly service and live jazz 🎷
What a ripoff! Don't waste your money or time! Small portion expensive food & very bad customer service- NEW owner refused to refund my money after I didn't receive what I ordered! Never again will I go back, use to be a great place to eat.
The usual lunch place for my coworkers and I when we are in town. Plenty of good dishes to try that won't bloat you up when heading back to work.
We had such a great time. Thank you for your delicious food! Everything delicious and the lotus wine drink with the flower inside the champagne was a treat. Your place brought all of us happiness and smile. I enjoyed seeing how much everyone enjoyed the jazz musicplus good food and drink that you made with love and care. This place does not just make our stomach full but also heart. five hearts reviews from me.
Recently, I went into Twin Lotus for Tom Peron’s big Tennessee sendoff concert. Tom had to reschedule but Kristen and Bootza lit it up! The guy on piano was smooth like early Dolphin Dance era Herbie Hancock. Who Dat? I have heard buzz about this place since it opened and it’s all true. What a great hang! Very much a thriving family business. I had a dish that I couldn’t pronounce recommended by that piano guy. Turns out he's the owner. The Chef's presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted great. My understanding is that the owner is a world-class jazz musician. Graduated from the famous Eastman School of Music. Yeah, world class. I’ll bet he can play clarinet too. 5 stars!
Great food ! Sunday evening concerts with Joe Gilman are fantastic…outstanding food and music combination
The food was great. The owner and staff are very friendly.
Truely amazing new place where I just found and totally enjoyed having a great Thai boat noodle that 's hard to find in Sacramento. The owner is so friendly and generous making me feel like I was in Thailand. Since I am Thai so I knew how great Thai boat noodle tasted like and definitedly will come back to experience more on an authentic Thai food they have along with a feel-like Thai-style atmosphere there. I couldn't wait for my next favorite menu at Twin Lotus Thai!
The new management is greedy with that Larb. I pay $13 for a small portion of Larb that does even fill me up. I like the old management better.
The Thai food was very solid! But even better yet the owner/staff are extremely humble and kind. I had an issue with my order and they did their best to try and make it right. That kind of customer service is so hard to come by these days!
I tried the Thai Basil dish, Crunchy Noodle plate, eggplant dish, and Avocado Curry special. Everything except the egg plant was delicious and had some very delicious flavors and depth to it! Eggplant was a bit of a miss for me but everyone’s preferences are different so no biggie. The Thai basil dish is definitely a great starter dish. They also have levels of heat which is really interesting- but a cool little customization option they offer. Level 3’s heat is pretty strong so be wary!
Overall I’d definitely be back! There’s some solid dishes here and the customer service is top notch so it definitely makes you want to come back to support them! Give them a try!
The food is phenomenal and the owners are delightful. We had an amazing time here. Can’t wait to return!!!
Check it out. Music during dinner hour on the weekend starting April 3rd.
This was an unexpected delight. My son found this restaurant a few weeks ago and invited me to dine at Twin Lotus Thai... and I am so happy I did. What wonderful food and people! We both had the Spicy Basil Chicken (comes in choice of meat). The flavors were perfectly blended and balanced. The chicken melted in my mouth...it was so flavorful. I highly recommend you visit this restaurant for warm hospitality and fantastically flavored food. Go here...you will not be disappointed.
Drunken noodles, fresh green beans with pork, papaya salad, green curry - all excellent. We'll go back!
This place has charm, amazing food and great customer service. We came in for the other night and was blown away by the flavor!! When you walk in pay attention to the wall of Thailand and Family. These are the people that own and work in the restaurant. Lots of hard work, passion and love went into this place!! Come on over and check it out! They also serve boba tea!! My daughter says this is the best boba tea in town! We are definitely regulars now.
Six of us went and shared all of the dishes (family style eating). Everything was excellent, including the service. This will be my new "go to" for Thai food.
Excellent food and nice vibe.Green curry, eggplant, pad Thai, drunken noodles, yellow curry, yep I tried them all and they were all excellent definitely going back soon.
Everything was delicious! Standouts were the green curry, pad thai, and the eggplant delight. Staff was so friendly and polite. What a lovely, family-owned restaurant. We will be back!
We went last night with another couple, so we got to try quite a few things on the menu. We were really happy with it! (I got Thai iced tea to try it this first time time and I thought it was good - sweet, but not sickly sweet like some can be.)
It wasn’t crowded, the service was good, and the food came out really fast. Definitely recommend, and we will absolutely be back!
I used to pick up food from this place for the office and for myself as well as have several lunches there. They now don’t allow you to call in your order and will only let you use yelp. Very frustrating because their yelp and website does not work. Seems like a very silly idea by the new management. We will come back when we can call in.
