Finally a Thai place that I don’t have qualms finding meat in my meals. I order the vegetable yellow curry and it’s delectable. He loves their drunken noodles and orders it without basil. The cheese puffs are light and crispy. Love the couple that owns it.
In a nutshell; neat place to stop by and satisfy your Thai food cravings if you're in the area.
The west-wind theater drive-in Is nearby so if you wanted to get thai food while watching or if you got around the area rather early and there isn't any traffic then well this is a neat place to stop by. It isn't the biggest restaurant but seats and tables were decent enough, no squeaking or table tilting. The man behind the register was rather busy but still attentive as he could. Food didn't take too long at all. Appetizers were first and that was great and before you know it the entrees were served and those tasted amazingly as well. If I had a few qualms about it is maybe the location it is at, as we parked and headed towards the entrance had a rather frantic person walk by clutching his bag as though he was about to get robbed speaking obscenities at the person he passed earlier. Don't know what that's about but well maybe that was just a one time occurrence. Overall still a neat place to try out.
Not my first time here, and it won't be my last. I should come more often because the food is fantastic. We did lunch take out which was quick and easy with online ordering. Curry puffs are good. The sausage is amazing, the sauce had quite the kick. Drunken noodles and fried rice rounded out the meal. This is a gem hidden in a basic strip mall.
Arrived at about 11:30 and plenty of seating available. People were coming to pick up their telephone, online or door dash orders throughout my entire time at the restaurant— so lots of other people think this place is tasty. Friendly owner. Nice size portions, I didn’t finish my pad Thai and took half home. 4 pieces included in the satay order. Very yummy peanut sauce.
The cashier guy was rude. We came all the way from WA & was not expecting this customer service.
The food is so fresh and delicious! The beef drunken noodles are amazing! I will definitely eat there again!!!
Again, Excellent. Fresh. Super tasty. Welcome to Flavor town!

Kaidao is a gerat place with delicious food. They never dissapoint and have a great twist on classic thai food with a more homemade feel to them.
We came in yesterday and are absolutely impressed! So it's a nice little restaurant and the gentleman who was there was really polite.
We ordered the chicken satay, 2 spring rolls (tofu & prawn), curry puffs, drunken noodles, mango sticky rice and roti (rotti?) - we ordered to get a variety and to have leftovers. All of it was delightful! The prawn spring roll was neat. They have a small slice of apple which was an interesting but great twist from what I've had before. The noodles in the drunken noodles were perfect and a bit different from what most Americans experience. It was all so excellent!
Overall, I'd highly recommend trying this restaurant out. This is a location that we'll be coming back to often! It's definitely exceptional.
The Hotspot for Thai food in sac. It's really delicious and tasty Thai food.
Small place but great food. The cashew chicken is unlike any I've ever had. Yum!

Green curry and curry puffs were very good. Service was great.
The curry puffs fish cakes and pad Thai are supremely delicious. Curry puffs are like my Thai relatives make.
Came here for lunch to dine in but didn't even get to order sat down for 10mins and server didn't even acknowledge to come towards me standing behind the cashier looking stupid so I walked up to the cashier trying to talk to the guy but he leaves to the kitchen.
Delicious!
Our local Thai place! It very good and fair priced. I don't like their Tom Yum soup but everything else is on point. Definitely worth a try.
This little hidden gem is right by my office. They’re really great. Not fine dining in any way but great little stop to get some tasty eats.
One of the most badass restaurants in town I love this aiasin food rocks keep up the great work
I ordered mixed vegetables with medium spice level and it was so bland, like everything was boiled. No hint of spice, so disappointing
Oh man, this place was awesome. As usual, I am unsure what to order with my little experience in Thai food, so I asked for recommendations, and I was not disappointed. My wife and I ordered three plates that were all prepared outstanding from the presentation to the flavor profile. Everything was great and I would eat here again in a second.
Since I moved here around this area, I was craving Thai food & found this restaurant when searching on google. Coming inside this restaurant, I was greeted by a man that took my order he was very sweet. I ordered the papaya salad (Laos style) & the basil moo yor with chicken plus the fried egg on top. All were flavorful & I would definitely order here again to eat next time & will be bringing the family.
Super good food! The people who work here are super nice as well! They do have limited staffing so as long as you have patience I’m sure you will fully enjoy the food, service and atmosphere as much as I have.

OMFG! Absolutely delicious food!! Just amazing! I had the Panang curry, coconut shrimp and Thai iced tea and it was such a treat! I recommend them all!! I regret not taking a photo! It was so freaking good it was gone before I realized I wanted to remember how appetizing it was! Fantastic!
A colleague showed up today with some pad woon sen that smelled fantastic. I immediately went to get my own. The glass noodles have both the perfect softness and crunch. The veggies and protein are perfectly cooked. The SAUCE… was just incredible. It was savory, deep, complicated, and with a creamy texture. It was served so hot (to go) that it has to be put on foil so as to not melt the styrofoam container. 15 minutes later, still too hot to delve in fully. 2.5 hours later and the leftovers are still warm enough to fully enjoy. I’m going back again. It’s in a simple strip center. But, the food and nice attention is a find!
This is basically a hole in the wall kind of Thai food restaurant with not many tables or chairs but excellent quality Thai food. You don't come here to enjoy the surrounding ambience but just some delicious traditional Thai street food such as Pai Thai, Pai See Ew, Drunken noodles, or one of the many savory spicy curry dishes. The selection is quite good for such a tiny place and the price is just about what's to expect in today's market but price for dishes is best at lunch hours and should be ample enough for most people. The service can be a bit slow at time during lunch since there's only one waiter and look like they receive a lots of takeout orders.
We got there at the end of the day so we had to wait a minute for someone to come bring us a menu, but the food was absolutely amazing, and seemed like a decent price (for Sacramento). Their curry puff appetizers are fantastic, so I’d recommend those!
It seems like this restaurant pivoted pretty hard for Covid, so there’s a lot of doordash and takeout orders, so if you want to grab and go, check their website. Dine-in was fine for us though! Thanks y’all!
Sooo good! Kind people with good food! This is my families new go-to Thai spot from here on out!
Very nice food. Very authentic dishes as rated from a guy, who has visited Thailand. Great service. Fresh food ingredients. Highly recommended.
Let me say this so it is understood right away …..the curry at this restaurant is the best in Sacramento (Thai curry) it doesn’t matter what flavor you get ….yellow and green are my go to pretty much when I order kaidao …but pumpkin amazing as well …haven’t had a single item from this place that I didn’t enjoy on a major level…the staff are on point they now remember who I am just by order (which tells me they are paying attention to detail and have pride in the work ethic department and it definitely shows in the finished product “food”) sticky coconut rice with mango is excellent due to seasonal fruit I have had to parlay on this yummy treat maybe 2 or 3 times in total…I speak truth in my reviews and grade on a up curve because food is a very important responsibility from prep/cook and how clean one’s practices are …give it a shot and you will be hooked on the first order “facts”
Order pad thai grrat flavors, freshly prepared, but it had bone remnants from the chicken. Ruined my meal.
I had chow mein and hot tea. Is a small place, clean, nice place, great service, food was great.
The food was fresh, hot and good, but there was some chicken marrow left in my pad thai, and I almost broke a tooth biting into it. It happened several times, I ate around it, but no one spending 15 or more should have to pick through their food.
Food and drinks were great! Cooked to perfection. Note that they no longer have seafood besides prawns, shrimp.
The server was great, very kind, and the food was amazing
Found this place because I was looking for dinner before the drive in movie. It’s amazing! The moo ping was incredible and the coconut shrimp was so delicious as well. The staff was very nice and friendly, will be back!
Great food, extremely friendly and polite service. Clean, cozy.
This is our favorite place for Thai food. The papaya salad is absolutely delicious. Our other favorite dishes are tofu eggplant and drunken noodles with chicken. Please give this place a try the next time you’re craving Thai!

Moo ping definitely worth it! And everything we ordered was flavorful and tasty: pad thai, Pineapple fried, and beef laab.
Used to have duck in its previous iteration, miss that. Otherwise, food is tasty. Had mooping and drunken noodles with pork.
Quality thai food 👏 good people.
Cool place to eat, the menu has plenty of different items and it tastes great.
Best pad Thai, best spicy basil fried rice, unique and authentic curries, and the best fresh rolls in town. Everywhere else makes them with too much lettuce. Super friendly service.
If they were open late I’d never go to Thai canteen again.
An absolute hidden gem of a restaurant. Been here a couple times and it hasn't disappointed yet! Very friendly people that get your food out to you on time, it's delicious and piping hot fresh.
Excellent food, fast service, large portions. Great to go.
Great food great atmosphere
Best place. Friendly and fast service
The best yellow chicken curry in town! Can’t wait to try more from the menu!
Yummy food!
Service is extremely slow
Good food at affordable prices.
Best Thai food in Rancho Area, very Delicious, especially the Rice❤
Excellent food with big portions. Will be coming back!
I ordered the pad Thai and an order if this sausage and it was so delicious! Can't wait to go back!
For years I ate at Mai Thai (now KAIDO) at least once a week. Don’t know if they changed ownership when the name changed but the quality of the food changed as well. It was TERRIBLE! The “pumpkin” curry had absolutely no trace of pumpkin in it and the brown rice was a brick of black gunk wrapped in aluminum foil. NOTHING like the excellent food I had enjoyed for years. NEVER AGAIN!
Excellent thai food. We're regulars.
Some of the best Thai I have ever had!!!
Don't let google deceive you, Mai Thai is closed and Kaidao Thai Street Food has replaced it (along with new ownership). Kaidao is by far my new favorite Thai restaurant in Rancho Cordova. The portions and quality of food are always consistent; delicious and abundant! We've come here twice within the span of two weeks. We would have taken more photos of the food we ordered but it doesn't last long in our household! It's way too yummy to let it sit for too long. Pictured is the Pad See Ew with Chicken and the Pineapple Curry with Avocado. Call in and place an order for pickup, your tastebuds will thank you!
