I went here on a rainy day because I was craving some pineapple fried rice. I ordered some and I was asked how spicy I wanted it on a scale of 1-5. I said 4 and I did get some very savory Pineapple Fried Rice. It was spicy but it was not unbearable. I also tried some Thai Tea. It was good and it tasted of good quality. I paid around $25 for my plate and the Thai Tea. Quite expensive if you ask me but I was pleased with the service, the cleanliness of the place, the quality of the food, and the ambiance. The setting was calm and relaxing. I enjoyed my food peacefully. I hope to return again.
Unfotunately, I wouldn't recommend this place. It was a hit and miss but the miss was exceptionally bad.
Boat noodles: Get
This noodle soup was pleasant with a flavorful broth and the meats were yummy. It was very enjoyable, similar to a more saucy and savory pho.

This was one of the most salty dishes I've had in a long time. The flavors were completely imbalanced and I had to chug a few glasses of water to finish this. On top of that the server even told me this dish was really big and of course when it came out, it was quite small so there was some miscommunication there.
A couple hours later my stomach started to feel kinda weird... not sure if its' because of this meal but we took some tums just in case.

I can't stop raving about this Thai gem! The service was top-notch, and the staff's knowledge of the menu helped us make fantastic choices. The food was a masterpiece, with a perfect balance of spices and fresh ingredients. The ambiance, with its Thai decor and soothing music, made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit spot for Thai food enthusiasts!
The food there is very yummy. I always go for the boat noodles and raw laab. I love the bio soup as well. Very refreshing. Place is very nice, only down side is that is very small so the dine in is kind of limited. Besides that i would recommend them for boat noodles.
EDIT!!!
FAST FORWARD 5 YEARS 😚😒🙂 PRESENT DAY 2024 JUNE 8TH
I rate it a 3 out of 5. I feel like the small delicate details are missing. Thai cuisine is so intricate and beautiful. Presentation is always eye catching and important and I feel that it lacks this now, from the unproportationately cut ginger to the lack of details in some dishes. The yum woo Sen was good, but not spicy enough for me, the shrimp were cooked to perfection and not overcooked! Loved that! Nam khao was great but also not spicy enough, pork belly wasn't anything spectacular, the pepper dipping sauce wasn't it for me sadly, and the prad krapao was the saddest one. Pad krapao should be crispy, the meat should be seared and crunchy. The dish should be fragrant and might I even say a bit oily. The one I ate here had a lot of broth and was really sweet. It was also missing the iconic fried egg on top.

Sooo extremely DELICIOUS! I am very impressed with the quality and proportions of the food. Their khapoon is made the traditional thai way, with fresh healthy ingredients and is very light and savory. Their broth is not the oily red kind but rather very thick with coconut milk and flavorful. Traditionally thai proportions are a bit small, I thought the noodles wouldn't be enough but in the end I could barely even finish my khapoon due to such a delicious broth 😊 I was eating it with my sticky rice non stop hahaa. Their papya salad juice is ON POINT! Just enough padek but not so much that its overwhelming. They filtered their juice PERFECTLY, all the paya salad flavors with less strong SmelI & the same mouth watering taste and spice. I LOVE Loas style papya salad and omg their peppers are soo fresh and spicy. I wanted 6 but the waitress talked me down to 3 & I was literally crying in the end hahaa. The waitress offered to make me a new papya salad with less peppers but to me if it's not spicy its not good 😀 I also got laos sausage and mango and rice dessert all so beautifully presented and made. This place has always had my favorite khapoon, now even with New owners it's STILL my fav place for khapoon. I'm looking forward to more khapoon and to trying their boat 🍜. A little on the pricey side but good food doesn't come cheap. For the quality and feelings evoked every bite I had it was worth the money I spent (: I'm going back later today for khapoon as my lunch btw (: I hope you try it out and its as good as you hope. Service as 10 stars plus, they were all so proffesional and friendly. They take their job seriously and genuinely want you to enjoy the food. It makes going there even the more better (: I can just keep writing hahaa GO TRY IT OUT(;
Very delicious and well made. Every dish is tasty in its own way and the service was really good. Portions are great, not too much and not too little, it’s perfect. I enjoyed it very much 10/10 would recommend.
Went there to eat inside..decided to order for take out since most tables wasn't clean up yet after customers had left..pad thai was good..thai boat was ok just meat/meat balls and pork rinds..thai boat can use some tendons and tripes.overall portions was good for the value.

They had the best thai boat hands down on florin to the south sacramento side if you don't want to go to far it's close to florin walmart hands down it's a 10star thai/hmong food
Always on point with the food!
Yum won sen is 🔥 . If you're after some heat, they have it thumbs up.

8/25/2024 - Bangkok Thai restaurant. Address is 6840 65th St, Ste 130, Sacramento, CA 95828. The Kow Soi was ok. But the crab Rangoon was frigging good. Thin, perfectly crispy and just the right amount of filing inside. Restaurant is tiny, but clean. Bathroom was clean too. Plenty of parking when we arrive. Parking is free. Our server was very nice. Very quiet restaurant. We will definitely go here again.
We went there to try some Thai food. We were greeted and seated immediately. Pls note the eating area is quite small so it will seem really busy. There’s cool decor everywhere. The food was so good. We will def. Come back again soon.
Customer Service was awesome, and the food was great!!

Best curry I had in years, they make it from scratch and you can taste that, also they offer 5 different spice levels! Staff is super nice too.
Amazing food! The food was super spicy! Me personally I love the Nam Khao which is currently number 21 on there menu. Their service was super nice and welcoming with a warm atmosphere. Definitely recommend coming here to dine. Even if you have a low spice tolerance, they have 0 to 5 levels of spice. Again definitely recommend to eat here!
There is definitely room to learn from this restaurant. The boat noodle portion is not all there, protein is compare to 1 meat ball slice in half and 4 bite size pieces of meat. The broth isn’t what everyone said compare to LA restaurants. No napkins was given on my dine in. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone to spend their money here. I’m all about supporting my community but I can’t support this. The hyper for boat noodle is nothing compared to other restaurants I have here in Sacramento.
Best place for Thai food, my go to spot when I'm craving Thai
Starting with the service, we were welcomed by an accommodating server. The place has its distinct thai characteristic showing its authenticity. The food was really good and we enjoyed everything we ordered: thai fried rice, pannang curry, and tilapia fillet but we hope that they will expand their menu more in the future. Also, increase the illumination and visibility so people can easily see this good restaurant.
Super flavorful and about as authentic as it gets, some of the best around for sure! They will closing for a month to go overseas for a family situation but still worth checking it out if you are in the plaza or the area.
The BEST Thai in Sacramento!!! Went twice in one week and have zero regrets.
Had boat noodle, was yummy
It's one of my favorite Thai Restaurants in town. Definitely recommend the Boat Noodles, Papaya Salad, Beef Larb, and Chicken Larb. The staff here is very friendly and the restaurant is well clean and put together ❤️. Love this spot. Must try Thai and Laos food in the area. I come here about once every 2 weeks to eat yet again. Highly recommended spot.
This is one of the best thai restaurant in the Sacramento area. I love love love their boat noodle. Everything on the menu is full of flavors and tasty. The service is great. The only thing is that they accept cash, zelle, or venmo only.
Bangkok Thai Food wasn't all that good small portions food amounts took it home and open it small not enough to feed a family what a ripped off of everything i ordered don't go here avoid these place spent $76👎
Beef Laab is perfect. You can choose level of spiciness and bitterness. Thai Boat is average. Overall great customer service.
i wish to give ZERO star instead of one star!awful food quality by all means. when i order for dinner ($75) before a group of people (6) arrive, they get their orders & eat while i wait for almost 35 mins--- DISRESPECT!!! as a result, absolutely disappointed & very poor quality in food for $75👎🤬🤯
3.5 would come here again but maybe order different items
My taste palette includes food that would generally be described as “saap” by Thai and Lao folks. Tasty food with a big kick of flavor. Though the food here was great, I feel like it is missing some flavor that gives it a kick of authenticity. The Kapoon was alright. The soup itself was thick, and the broth was slightly salty. It’s not well balanced. My accompany ordered Red Curry. To me, the curry lacks coconut milk and reminds me of Indian curry; which I’m not a big fan of. The papaya salad Laos style was bland. At first bite, you can taste the Padek-ness of the dish but it downfalls after. It’s missing something that gives it that umami flavor. The presentation of the papaya itself is sad and you can tell it was made with low effort. The staff was friendly and the food came in a timely manner. The items were well portioned. The food is pricey.
They close at 4pm during the day. Doesn't say that online or on the door. They said if we were there to order at 330 that we'd have to take it to go because we couldn't stay past 4pm. I found them online and made a date to meet a friend there at 330. Won't do that again.
Foods was good but waited for over 40min for our foods. Foods portion was small.
I love the food here !! The papaya salad was really tasty and the spice level was just perfect for me. The service was great and they welcomed us in with a big smile.
I do not understand why there are so many high star reviews. It does not reflect the actual in person services and food quality of the restaurant. When I came in I basically had to seat myself and service was very minimal considering how small the restaurant is. Portions are also extremely small. It was enough to feed a mouse. Additionally their soup tasted like instant noodle flavor. Would not return.
Such a cute place. I had the Pad Thai and husband had the Drunken noodle w/level 2 spice. Food was absolutely delicious. Excellent service. Highly recommend!
Amazing service and the food is great! Don’t remember the owner’s name but he was so attentive and made sure we were satisfied with everything. Thank you!
Excellent food; honestly zero complaints. Called and placed an order for the chicken drunken noodles and the chicken Thai fried rice- both spice level 3. I was told 25 mins but got a call in 10 mins saying items were ready for pick-up, which was a pleasant surprise. Food was warm and flavor combinations were great- both items tasted delicious and we will definitely return for more!
They politely warned be it would be a bit of a wait since I came in on my lunch hour at work. It wasn’t too bad of a wait and the food was absolutely worth it! I got the drunken noodles and the food was prepared fresh and to my specifications. Yum!
It has improved from the last time I was here (2010) many years ago. This time we were greeted warmly upon entering. We were provided iced water while we waited for out take out order. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars was that the portions were small. Overall good food and good customer service.
Super deliciosa
Great food at a good price. Appetizers were fresh as well as the entrees. Will definitely be returning.
Good Thai food that is affordable.
Great food and even better service. The server was polite and observance. There was a delay on food, but that’s forgiven just off flavor.
Absolutely stunning restaurant with high quality dishes and even higher quality customer service! The dishes taste wonderful and really feels like homemade Thai food! The owner does very well to make sure all customers feel welcomed and appreciated! Bravo Bankok Thai!
I like the larb.. but bad thing is they don't do delivery when they do delivery I'll rate 5 stars. Thank you.
great service love it
Delicious food, friendly hosts. We tried their homemade Lao sausage, panang curry, drunken noodles, and beef larb. The curry was even better the next day after the flavors set in over night. We will definitely be returning to try more dishes. Thanks to the chef for her wonderful cooking!😊. Word of caution: their "medium spicy" is actually "hot" already and "Thai spicy" is not edible!!! Just beware!
Was amazing had the Pad Thai Chicken
(spice level 1 ) & it was amazing and the Thai Tea was great!
I have so much love for this place. It's a family owned business and they're soooo friendly! Love the services and foods! My to go place for Raw Larb, Papaya Salad, Boat Noodle, KhaoPiak, Fried Rice, Pad Thai, omg the lists goes on🤣 If you ever visit Sacramento, give this place a try! You won't be disappointed if you love authentic Thai and Laos foods❤❤❤
Very friendly people! Went here a few days straight, because they're nice people with great food! Not sure what the owner's name was, but he and his sons are very friendly. They always check up on us every 5 to 10 minutes to make sure we are doing good. I haven't tried many items on their menu, but forsure I love their boat noodle! Would recommend this place to everyone, and I will definitely be back!
Had the Pad Thai and the Drunken noodles for the first time. So very good! Their spice levels run a little hotter then other Thai places we have been too so order accordingly (you can pick spice level between 1mild-5hot). Will definitely be coming back to try other dishes, overall great experience and customer service 👍
Excellent place 👌
Amazing service and hospitality!!! Amazing staff all around! Thank you for taking such great care of us! The food were amazing as well!! 10/10. Will definitely be back next time we are in town!
Stumble upon this restaurant. The food was the great, staffs were friendly and food got there fast.
Very friendly waiter and great food me and my friend had never had thai food before and he was quick to give us good recommendation. Will definitely visit again
All the foods was yummy!
Great time and had a blast talking with the owner. Food is excellent.
Good chicken pad thai
Very delicious food, the kao piek (possibly spelled wrong) is one of my favorites. Hand made noodles in chicken soup with chicken and pork blood.
Good food but small portion
Nice place clean, bright and simple decor. Greeted as soon as I came in. Was seated quickly. Took my order as soon as waiter noticed I was ready to order. Food came out in a resonable time. Had panang curry chicken and rice. Their three heat level was a little hotter than I would normally choose. The waiter warned me however it was tasty and I will order it again.
Amazing 3rd time going here and it's great I enjoy the papaya salad
What a shame , the noodles were old and soggy . The shrimp used is just cooked frozen shrimp you get in the grocery stores . If you are seeking authentic Thai go else where . Seriously !
This is my favorite Thai place in a neighborhood known for great Asian food.
Love coming here weekly! I even brought my work family and they loved it. Owner is very nice and very funny!
Service was great. Very attentive and helpful with ordering and suggested next time try the beef larb...will be going back
Food are delicious. Great customer service
Love this place. I've been here a few times now and I enjoy it everytime. The food's good and so is the service.
Love the food!!!
Great good and great customer service. We been to this place twice and ordered different food each time, so far this place has not been disappointed us. Highly recommended.
Order some beef larb and was blown buy how good it actually was compared to other place. Curry dish is very good and sticky rice is perfectly cook.
Great place! Delicious curry
Very similar to the real thing.
Second time here and the food was delicious. We ordered Kasoy, Thai fried rice and meatballs. The owner, Cheng was very nice and friendly. We will definitely be back.
The waiter was really nice and accommodating. He made sure we were okay everytime he served another table.
Wonderful place to enjoy Thai and Laotian food! My family went there to celebrate my brother's birthday and the service was impeccable! The owner was very kind and cordial. We ordered the papaya salad, fried rice, pad thai, yellow curry, and kasoy. Everything was delicious! Couldn't ask for a better meal!
Some of the best thai food in recent memory. The host was extremely knowledgeable about the dish options. Fresh herbs & spices and authentic flavoring (not that sweeter "Americanized" style found in most other restaurants). I ordered my larb beef medium-rare, "thai" spice. The cook pulled no punches 🔥. Truly a special find.
Beef Larb is my favorite at this restaurant
Good quality. Nice atmosphere
The food is great and the service is exceptional
We was searching the other Thai restaurant but I didn’t know why my husband can’t find it so we ended up to stop here,When I first opened the door we just saw 1 table in use with 3 persons(around 6pm)so i told my husband we should not try this restaurant cause i think not good, just 3 customers (that what we usually thinks right?)but i was wrong, everything was good enough, original Thai food , everyone should try, service was fast and excellent
Food was delicious, place was very clean and worker are very nice.
What a fortunate Discovery. Very helpful and polite staff very attentive and gentle. Also the yellow curry was As Good As It Gets we also tried the green curry and the Pra Kom Nom, all of it was quality good food enjoyed my experience I should probably give it 5 stars but it totally didn't blow my mind but it was a great discovered
The food here is delicious, best boat noodle and papaya salad in town. Alex and his staffs are very friendly and helpful. Everything had a nice flavor to it.
Really great!
If you like Thai food, come and try here.
I was very pleased with the flavor and pricing. Very clean. Friendly staff. Good selection of dishes, some for the more brave of stomach. Very traditional and some good noodles! They delivered on an excellent bowl of noodles in curry soup. Very filling and pleasing to taste.
