Quaint little Thai spot with no frills or gimmicks. We ordered the Tom yum soup with shrimp, Thai basil fried rice with beef, and pad Thai with beef. Everything tasted right, but was mild tasting. If you want heat, ask for the spice rack - the green peppers were my favorite.

The menu is a little difficult to follow, so take your time. Food comes out a little slow, but be patient as there appears to be only one cook, and one server. Both employees are extremely nice and works very hard.

Well that was a waste of time and money for us. We love us some good Thai and were hopeful for this place. Located in yet another strip mall in Roseville, you will immediately be confused as to which door you are supposed to enter, as there are two restaurants next to each other, and 3 of the doors have signs stating "Enter from other door" and the arrows point to the other restaurant. Khobkoon is the single door on the far right. The interior has been designed to look old world Thai/Asian which was cute. They definitely need to add some music for the background so you don't just hear other diner's utensils clicking on their plates. I noticed other patrons (there were only 3 other tables filled at 8pm on a Saturday night) were speaking extremely quietly as not to have other's hear them. Kind of annoying to have to pay attention to your speaking level. Our host, and presumed owner was nice as he took our orders.
Food: Started with the #1 veggie rolls. Deep fried, but cold in the middle, and the veggie insides were on the stringy side, which being cold was a bit 'not good'.
Followed by #19 Tom Kha Ghai with chicken. Came presented in a sterno hot pot, and it was actually boiling in the pot. The broth truly had no flavor to it. So that was a miss as well.
Finally we tried the #24 Penang with pork ($1 extra for pork) and #64 Pad Thai. The pork in the Penang was tender which was good. But, the curry was flavorless as was the Pad Thai. One thing that surprised and annoyed us, was that I have never been to a Thai restaurant where they did not ask or indicate the level of spice. He never mentioned, nor asked us even though the menu clearly notes "spicy" by use of the pepper icons. All of our food was bland, and flavorless. Even the jars of heat additives (for lack of better words here) at the table were bland. Is bland what people in Roseville love? Based on the 'great' reviews one might think so. For us, who love good 'real' Thai food with traditional spiciness, this is not the place. Again, only 3 other tables had diners on this Saturday night, and only 2 take out orders came in while we were there. I wish him well...

Not only are the portions larger than the average in our area for Thai food, the owner is amongst the most sensible and kind hearted as they come. Doesn’t hurt that their food is amongst top quality as well ;) don’t hesitate to support this small business and keep them around!!! Best people and Thai food around.

It looked like a "hole in the wall" from the outside, but it turned out to be a very nice place to eat authentic Thai cuisine. The Yellow Curry Chicken was delicious, the atmosphere was clean and intimate and the service was very efficient. I recommend it.

My husband and I have been here several times now and it always hits the mark. The service is wonderful, always the same man, and he's always working hard all with a smile on his face. Every time we go we try a different dish and not one has disappointed us. It's all SO GOOD. Absolutely our favorite Thai restaurant, maybe even our favorite overall.

Came here to try a new Thai place. We ordered the duck curry, drunken noodles, seafood curry, and seafood fried rice. The seafood was so fresh and the flavors were on point. The duck curry and drunken noodles were also pretty good. If I was going to use authentic (even though I've never been to Thailand and had "authentic" Thai flavors), this would be one of the rare times I would use it. They also have a lovely selection of Thai chili sauces and powder. The man who was our server (also the owner maybe?) was super nice and very thoughtful while we were ordering and when he was serving our food. The decor of the place made it nice and cozy inside; perfect for an intimate meal. I was surprised to find the place has been around for 15 years. Definitely a hidden gem and hole in the wall! If you like Thai food, come try this place out and give it some love!

The food here has always been delicious and the service, be it one gentleman who I think is the owner, is always professional and kind. I would give kudos to the chef but I’ve never seen him/her. What makes this place special are the prices. Many if not most dishes are $12.95. The portions aren’t huge but just right for a family of four.

Consistently great food here. Tom Ka Gai soup to die for. Sensational pad Thai, which I saw on multiple tables, and the owner was taking orders for take out on the phone. All the curries are wonderful.

I can add that the Chicken yellow curry with carrots and potatoes is great. And not to forget the Chicken satay with peanut sauce. Yum!

The owner operator is a genuinely nice guy and extremely attentive. He does a tremendous take out business; try this food and you'll know why.

I ordered the Thai Chow Mein. Well seasoned and the pork was properly cooked. The stag was very friendly and attentive. Many other options looked good. Would definitely stop here again if I was in the area.

Honestly don’t know how this place has so many 5 stars. The food seemed like it was cooked a day ago. Had almost no meat and the meat it did have seemed boiled. Noodles were gummy.

Dim and peaceful place to dine. Great Thai food and a variety of options for difference tastes. The portions are a little on the smaller size; but, it's more so for finishing the dine in experience rather than pack up to go.

The staff was very attentive and promptly provided service. The cost of the food was average. My family especially loved the after meal treat.

Food was delicious. Staff is professional. Portions seemed small but we were very full and had some leftovers. We ordered papaya salad (thai hot), broccoli beef, chicken pad thai, chicken fried rice, and beef thai basil. It was a hit with the kids and they want to return. We got Ferrero Rocher with the check.

The lunch plates are the best daytime deals. Outstanding freshly cooked food at an amazingly low price. The place is kept clean and you can be seated right away. The decor is quaintly Thai. My wife and I ordered shrimp Pad Thai, Egg Plant w Tofu, and Veggie Curry Fried Rice. Satay Chicken for appetizers. A couple of Thai Iced tea for drinks. We later found out that we jus enjoyed a vegetarian Thai lunch! N'yong, the owner, is a great and candid host. He helped us in our menu selections, too. We will definitely come back here! You should check it out too.

Read other reviews before selecting this place. Something must have changed. Both entrees were watered down and flavorless. Any meat that was included seems to be an afterthought. Staff member was very nice, but that's the only thing going for the place.

Came for lunch. The lunch menu had plenty to choose from. The dish I had was good and the hot pepper / hot sauce caddy was good. The prices were reasonable for lunch. Not sure about dinner which is a different menu.

Service was good. Food came out fast and server was friendly. He was quick to refill empty water cups and able to answer questions about the menu items including taking a special order for someone in my group.

The dining area was on the small side but didn't feel too cramped when I was there. There empty tables between each party that day. Might be a little crowded if every table was full.

Overall a good experience. I will likely come back again next time I am looking for lunch when I am in the area.

Best Thai food in California actually authentic and nicest people in the world, if you don't like at least something here you don't have a good tastes. #62 with chicken is the best fried rice ever, and the spicy Thai wings are the best wings I have had anywhere.

Great service and I enjoyed my food. I had the panang curry medium spice. The medium seemed hotter than most places so be careful. Our server gave us a great tip that I never knew of..he said if your food is too spicy, drink hot water/tea to help. Well, I tried it and he was right!

Definity not Thai food. Closest comparison I can think of is to grocery store Chinese food. Though, the grocery store Chinese food would have more flavor.

The noodles were gummy and not Thai noodles. The curry appeared to be watered down chicken broth with a dash of curry spice. There were even grease bubbles floating on the watery sauce. Very little chicken and that had no flavor and appeared to be boiled.

I would not recommend.

I ordered and explicitly told the person over the phone I needed my Curry vegan. I was told it wouldn’t be a problem. I got home and the curry definitely had either fish sauce or oyster sauce in it. I called back many many times to see if I could get a hold of someone before I drove 20 minutes back to the restaurant to get my order remade and no one picked up. Wasted my time and money....

My daughter dragged me here, my first time eating thai food. Loved it will be back!

Ordered red curry and rice. Red curry was watery compared to the thicker version that i have had from other restaurants. I ordered from here 50 mins before closure, probably that explains the "adjustment".

I looked the reviews before I went this place and we were very excited to try out. Me and my sister love thai food and had couple of great Thai food in town.
I only went this place once, we ordered fried rice, pad Thai and curry. The food is very very very salty. Maybe there’s not lots of Asian in Roseville, or people in Roseville are very nice, or people in Roseville love salty food. that’s why the review was high.

Disappointing. Went for the pad thai, noodles weren't thick. Tasted ok. Expensive considering 1/3 of each plate ($14) was garnish: a pile of sprouts with shredded carrots on top. Friendly service.

Great Thai food! Out of all Thai places we've been to in Sac area, this place is the best. They know how to pack in the flavor. Amazing Tom Kha Gai (you can ask to get it mild or spicy they way you like it). Pad Thai is delicious as well. Generous portions. Each bite burst with coconut, lemon grass flavors. Noodles had great texture and taste

Came here with my wife and her cousin. Very satisfied with service and the food was GREAT. And very modestly priced. We all finished our plates, which doesn't usually happen. I originally wanted beef but had to substitute for chicken with my noodles and still enjoyed my plate entirely.

My company has taken our engineering Dept here for lunch many times and I have always enjoyed the great selection of tasty dishes and best of all you get to pick the level of spiciness you want
