Snazzy Thai cafe with woodsy flair putting spins on traditional noodles & fish plus lunch specials.
Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken, Shrimp, Crabmeat, Cashew Nuts, Eggs, and White and Green Onions. Pad See Ew with Flat Noodles, Chicken, Broccoli, and Egg.
This last minute dinner decision was well worth the U-turn! Not only was the food well seasoned and freshly made, the ambiance was sophisticated, but approachable. The staff wasn't super attentive, but they also weren't rude.
Me and my family of 3 had the lunch special cashew chicken, garlic shrimp, beef & green beans and seafood pot stickers and all was really favored very well and hot to the table. Service was on point and price was reasonable. Could had ate more just because I wanted to try everything. Will definitely be back.
New years eve, after getting back from shopping there are almost no places open past 830. Thai food sounded good and Thai Talay is within a 5 min walk from our hotel (in heavy rain).
There are no shortage of awesome Thai joints in Chicago so it is not easy to impress us. Just like other ethnic foods in the US, the American version is always a little different from the original back home.
We didn't want to have left overs so we ordered our go to plus a sampler app. The app was on point, the chicken satay was so tender that they fall off the stick when you bite into it. Now alot of other places we have been to, you will have to rip it off the stick, so this is a good sign. The Pad See You with Chicken was 60% chicken and 35% noodles plus the veggies. The meat to noodle ratio is quite rare and we almost wanted to ask for more noodles by trading in the chicken. The sauce is a little bit on the sweet side, as in overly sweet (same as the Satay sauce). My duck in red curry was awesome, a little bit of heat, thick curry and tons of duck.
The only thing I don't particularly like was how dark it was in there at night time, you can barely see the food. It was darker than a night club. That was why it took me a while to edit my photos to look somewhat presentable. And yes they do charge for the rice separately so do not make that mistake of complaining at the end when you get the bill because they will specifically ask you when you order.
Comparatively speaking, it is a solid 4 star in our experiences, nothing like the real thing in Thailand though.
I took my family on a Thursday night. Not too much people there. We got calamari and Tom yum soup for appetiser. The quality of the soup was too less and the way they served it was poor. The fried calamari was not fried as we expected. They added carrots In calamari? Where did that come from? And let’s not even talk about the quantity of the pad Thai. Only 2 people can hardly share one plate. The Thai fried rice was ok but there was less quality. Overall food were really expensive and they don’t worth your money. Go somewhere else if you have a big team with you.
I LOVE Thai Talay! Honestly, I have been ordering their food delivered for several years and it has always been delicious and so quick but we recently started going to the restaurant and it was so fun! The service was amazing and the cocktails are fresh and fab!!
Food was excellent, authentic, the real deal. Will definitely go back. Had the Panang Curry and the starter plate of appetizers. I’m in love!
Tonight was my first visit. I was dying for some Tom Yum and this place was open late and had dine-in.
The soup was good. While the chicken was a little tough, the flavor was spot on and a couple fresh Thai chilis brought the heat up to where I prefer it.
Having resolved my craving I decided to have some sticky rice and mango for dessert. There isn't a lot to be done that makes sticky rice stand out from anywhere else but here it was done by presentation. Wow.
👍

Great food great people great service and amazing atmosphere and the owner is cool

Great evening with excellent food! Thanks to Benk for is hospitality and to the rest of the team. Santé from the French canadien!
I don’t come for atmosphere or service although I see many come here on dates and others from the community hang out at the bar. I just come for the crispy filet or sole and it’s perfect every time
1. Firefly calamari: The frozen seafood has little flavor, and the sweet potato inside may have been stored too long, losing its taste. This is the first time I've encountered such poorly made fried sweet potato.
2. Pad Thai: The sauce has a strange sweet-and-sour flavor; after one bite, I didn't want to eat any more.
3. Tom Yum: This is the first time I've had such an inauthentic Tom Yum at a restaurant—it tastes like instant soup mix.
I ordered four dishes, and three of them weren't tasty at all. I won’t be trying this place again.
The food is amazing!! This place did not disappoint. I will be back again when I’m in town!!
Great! Real Thai staff members make you feel special and appreciated, and the food is very tasty. Presentation is fantastic. Restaurant is easy to find, and there's parking in front. I had lunch and ordered the sampler platter as an appetizer and another sampler for the entree.
Had great experience here, nice and classy Thai restaurant, clean, great service, quick orders, servers come frequently. Don’t understand the poor reviews, the portions are not huge but not small, drunken noodles (with different name) was awesome! Pad Thai is also a classic and great quality. We’ve been several times and going back again
Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken, Shrimp, Crabmeat, Cashew Nuts, Eggs, and White and Green Onions. Pad See Ew with Flat Noodles, Chicken, Broccoli, and Egg.

So disappointing. Pad Thai was okay. In 2009 when I lived down street, food was amazing. Quality down. I bragged about this place to my girlfriend and I was embarrassed how bland her pineapple fried rice was. Will not be back.
Everything is delicious and the service is always outstanding. Must try yellow curry noodles, it's only on the lunch menu but you can still order it for dinner. Everything is excellent.
Ordered Pad See Ew, soft shell crab (not crabby at all!), silver noodles (super soft tender chicken), scallop (soooo tender), and emerald curry. Everything was DELICIOUS. Light, savory, and perfectly seasoned.
Convenient and close by the LAX
First time here! Had Silver Noodles with chicken and beef and OMG!!! Best noodles ever!!! Service was great as well! Very kind ladies!
Good food, good service, nice environment
Had a great time! The vibes are very comforting and welcoming, the service is wonderful, and the food is lovely! I cleared my plate.
Highly recommend! We hosted lunch here after a funeral service for 28 people. Staff was very friendly, kind, and helpful in the planning of the event. Everyone ordered what they wanted, and the food was delicious. They have a menu that is very large and can accommodate different dietary needs. We can't wait to go back. Thank you, Thai Talay!
Service was curt. The staff seemed rushed. Not the warmest staff. Food was mostly good but the service really was not great. We asked for a container to pack our leftover soup. They just picked up the soup and took it away. Then brought it back packed in a container and in a brown bag that was stapled. BUT we saw that the soup spilled on our car seat. Not sure if they didn't close the lid properly. Seeing how rushed they were, I can imagine they didn't seal the lid well. Now we have Tom Kha all over the seat. Will cost a bunch to get it cleaned off. I'd rate their restaurant higher if their staff could be more communicative. Oh well. Not again.
Pineapple fried rice!!!
Green curry and chicken satay were pretty good, pad see ew was just ok. The rice that came with my curry must’ve been left out for a while because I got major diarrhea right after and no one else in my family did (only I had the white rice).
My partner and I ordered pickup and it didn't take long for them to make. When we entered the restaurant it looked empty. Just one table was sat. It was a Tuesday night. I felt a little discouraged but we got our food and went on our way home. The food smelled amazing through the bag and tasted even better. I got the green curry and seafood soup and it was so filling and flavorful. The portions were generous. I couldn't finish my plate. Definitely going to be our new favorite spot ❤️
Just orders Spicy Basil chicken and I guess I don’t read the menu properly. $16 for the dish and zero rice. Apparently it’s $3 for 25cents if rice these days. Got it. This is why restaurants are going out of business. Last time I’ll order from here.
Great food, great service. Very friendly staff and lots of menu options.
Nettes Ambiente, freundliches Personal
Good food and service at av reasonable price. Also have lunch specials.
Delicious and generous servings, along with Nikki and Book's exceptionally attentive and friendly service, have made Thai Talay my family's go-to place for excellent Thai food!
Cute Thai spot with standard dishes. Came here after bowling at Bowlero on a Sunday evening for dinner and got seated immediately. Street parking. Credit cards accepted. Indoor dining only and takeout available. I got the chicken pad thai and my friend got the yellow chicken curry. Note that rice is an additional charge for the curry. The pad thai was well made and I had enough for leftovers (which heated up well for lunch the following day). Service was friendly and quick.
Staff incredible, drinks delicious. Best food in the area.
Authentic and good. STANDOUT DISH: FILET MIGNON With green bean garlic sauce or five Spices sauce (I had the green bean garlic sauce and was not disappointed, at all). The tom kha was as good as I've had elsewhere. Scallops with lemongrass sauce were a treat. Quiet, clean, and well run. Always playing easy Bossa Nova, world music. Wait staff are efficient and on task. Recommend.

Food was great!
Amazing atmosphere, and the ladies are amazing. Food is fabulous!!
10/10!! Everything was made perfectly. From the food to the service, I highly recommend it!
Great food and great prices
Always good !!
Super leckeres Essen zu einem vernünftigen Preis! Die Bedienungen waren auch super nett!
Been coming here for years with family. I love their Pad See You.
Excellent flavor and service! Tofu plus is cooked perfectly and the Awesome Asparagus was truly superb!
The Food is always Good! And service with a smile all of the waiters we enjoy this place!
Rude hostess left standing there while she held conversation on the phone did not even acknowledge to say one moment poor customer service. Will not recommend to anyone. Bad experience.
Great food. Crab noodles and sampler are good and good portions for the price. Waitress are very attentive. Decor is nice though is prefer more is a Thai theme
Very good food. Service was wonderful. Will definitely go back!
The food was adequate.
Stopped for a quick lunch and were totally blown away by the wonderful food.

Drunken noodles are terrific.
Just ok pad thai.
Best garlic green beans in LA. Possibly the world!
This place is Legitness. It’s got character, that’s for darn sure. The more you go the more you love it.
Consistently good food and attentive service in an intimate, well design restaurant and bar. I've been a delivery patron since it opened. This visit was only the 2nd time I've dined in. Definitely will do it more.
Really flavorful Thai food, fast delivery. Overall I was super impressed and I LOVE Thai food.
In the neighborhood and we were hungry. Clean, friendly and the Pineapple curry was delicious.
The Seafood Pad Thai was loaded with calamari, but had only 2 shrimp and 1 scallop also was way to sweet for my taste.
I'd go back and try something else.
Amazing! Best Panang Curry I've ever had
Poor service... Friday night closing time they took order but they were in rush & got too late.Girl server open their hair on the time of serving food. Food was average, didn’t get authentic thai flavour.
Omg this place is amazing!! I ordered the spicy filet mignon skewers that had such an amazing sauce on it that I poured it on my pad see you! I also ordered the unfiltered sake which is my favorite. This place has fantastic food, the waitresses were really nice, and the atmosphere was very calm and inviting.
We had special appetizer with chicken skewers, dumplings, spring rolls and fried shrimp with sauces for each. Main courses of soup and pad thai with shrimp and chicken all tasty. Also a cocktail and wine.
This dinner we order to go prik king with beef, yellow chicken curry and Brown rice, wonton soup and pad thai..
Tonight was my first visit. I was dying for some Tom Yum and this place was open late and had dine-in.

This restaurant is great 👍, good service and delicious food. Mango 🥭 sticky rice is fabulous.
Great food! We ordered papaya salad, eggplant and pineapple curry. All dishes were superb!
Ordered Uber eats last night, food was delivered quick but without any utensils or napkins. Ordered shrimp fresh spring rolls and didn’t taste any shrimp at all, the pad Thai tho… I really hate leaving bad reviews but jeeze it was horrible. The chicken was dry and tasted old, really the whole dish felt like it had been sitting for a while, sauce was really bad. In the description it said “loaded with shrimp and chicken”.. there were 3 pieces of shrimp. It’s really annoying when you pay for something and it’s almost inedible but your so hungry you have no choice but to eat it. Never again
The food and ambiance are both good. They accommodate very large groups with ease. All orders were correct and the staff was nice. A new favorite!
Went there for lunch today, place was clean, not crowded food was very good. Recommended.
Writing this to save you from making the same mistake I did: ordering food from here.
Got the pad thai and pad see you and it's completely dry, bland, disgusting. We were super hungry and the pictures made it look great on postmates. Worst thai food I've ever had by far, I really don't know how it managed to taste so bad when it seems like all the right ingredients are in here. Just terrible
First time there. The food was fantastic! My girl really loved the Sea Bass. We'll definitely be going again!
This is the ONLY Thai Restaurant I will eat at. Hands down consistent menu items year after year. Any item on the menu will have you hooked on the distinctive flavor and style unlike any other Traditional Thai Restaurant. Thai Talay takes Authentic Thai to a whole other level. Trust me when I tell you it’s an experience dining here. The team at Thai Talay are the Best and deliver exceptional service. Make sure to toast Bank the owner with your beverage of choice who can be found mingling with guests and making them feel like you are being hosted in his home. It’s the “Cheers” of Playa Del Rey and a must for lunch or dinner any night if the week. If you don’t like the food at Thai Talay it’s definitely your issue not theirs.
“Loyal Patron for Life”
Just delightful
This place used to be my favorite Thai spot back when I was a student at LMU. Unfortunately, the quality has gotten worse and today I decided to give it another shot and I was sooo disappointed. I ordered Uber eats because I’m very much pregnant and hungry and I don’t want it leave the house. The food made it here timely however, I ordered a soup and requested utensils they gave me two forks not sure how I’m supposed to eat soups with a fork. Fine. Also, the soup is supposed to be coconut cream based but they must have skipped that step becuase there isn’t any. Second, the pad Thai is absolutely disgusting, it’s not fresh the eggs are horrible not scrambled, burnt and bunched up. Hardly any sprouts, tiny little lemon wedge abs just as i wen to write a review I found A HAIR! Gross! I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN.
Honestly there are so many really good Thai places in the area not to mention all over LA this feels like a really cheap hole in the wall that buys really cheap food and cuts corners I’m really disappointed they used to be so good but now they’re disgusting.
Really good food and friendly service!
I used to go here years ago it's nice to know they're still in business and they revamped the place and change the menu I highly recommend you to go hear a great Thai food when you're in this area in Playa or Marina del Rey
My favorite dish, PAD Thai Shrimp was too sweet. Thank God for extra limes.
I ordered Tom yum and Tom kha soups. Both were pretty good and just the right amount of ingredients. I added side of rice as well which goes very nice with both of these soups.
The only thing that made me took off one star is that I have a suspicion there is no lemongrass used to make the soup sour. Instead they probably use just a marinated mushrooms. Since mushrooms looked and tasted like a marinated ones not the fresh ones. I hope it’s not the case. Tasted good though.
* Tip: have a parking lot on the back.
Good service, food very good.
Excellent food. Nice service
Best Thai food around
We loved this place! Placed an order for take out but the aesthetic inside is really nice. Even for take out it was still delicious & hot by the time we got home so we will be coming back soon to eat inside :)
From start to finish excellent service. My partner and I were coming by and noticed that this seemed like a good place to come into. The vibe is super chill the decor is super nice. I recommend anyone come here. The food is absolutely phenomenal reminds me of being in Thailand. Five stars across the board!!
Nice, great taste
Good Thai food. Generous portions, and good service. We enjoyed.
Visited for lunch, place was not busy at all due to Covid restrictions in LA County. Food was good. Serving sizes are on the smaller side. Went with the bbq pork ribs.
First time eating at this place and I order chicken fried rice which was not a fried rice at all, chicken curry, pad thai not good. Place is clean and employees very friendly specifically with men, while I was there a table with 6 white males and the waitress were very happy and friendly to the men some of the men were touching the waitress, Please keep your distance don't let men put a finger to your body.
I got the wrong impression of this place I won't go back.
Great food, ambiance, and service! Highly recommend.
BEST Thai food in the area. Always the freshest ingredients made to order. Consistently delicious. Some of our favorites dishes include the Tom Yum soup, cashew chicken, Buddha salad, and their rice dishes. This restaurant is a go-to for us.
Great service. Take out.
Laid back, clean, modern & classy atmosphere with a great menu and fantastic flavors. We had the pad thai, pineapple fried rice, tom yum soup & fresh summer rolls. Excellent service too! Very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend. Decent parking around the corner behind the restaurant.
Very good food ...fast service and very friendly staff...food came out piping hot!
Fried rice and cashew chicken was great
Probably the worst thai food I’ve ever had.
Great spot
Amazing
Authentic Thai food! really enjoyed the food and we could sit outside (social distancing), Must treasure Treasure @ TT, good quality and very friendly service
Great service and delicious food. Try the Sampler..yummy.
Excellent Thai food! Enjoyed the scallop lemongrass and Wor Wonton and calamari appetizers. Loved the surf and turf. Friendly and efficient staff!
Always an amazing experience! They truly make you feel at home!
Loved the curry sauces. Sticky rice and mango was AMAZING!!!
My late husband and I went here on our first date 11years ago. We would we eat here often. Today I had to come get our favorite rice because I was having a moment. The food has stayed consistent after all these years. Very very good.
Firat time for us. We picked up food. Obviously COVID. Place looked clean. We order the chicken pad thai not bad but on the dry side. Wonton soup was really good and so was there orange chicken. There shrimp fried rice really good too, so much we wished that we order two plates of the rice instead of one.The orange chicken look like meatballs but with actal chicken, didnt feel like your eating fried bread. The veggie rolls a little bland and dry too. Overall it was okay but not terrible. My husband really like how clean and nice it looked inside. Will order again.
Great standard dishes. Always ready when promised. Thank you!
First time trying this place cause my go to spots were closed.
2 stars for Portion size.
Pad thai was HORRIBLE...tasted BURNT‼😭
Not eating here again...
I had the garlic & green bean main dish with steamed tofu and ginger onion main dish with chicken. Some of the BEST Thai Food EVER!! Thank you Bank, keep it up & good luck to you & your restaurant. I'll be back *-)
Uber Eats and Thai Talay do not partner well... neither of them know what they are doing. Getting help from the restaurant side is useless. Order from someone else!
Best Thai Food In Los Angeles...
Beautiful people. Great food. Awesome atmosphere. Banks is the man! Cheers Trip
Chicken was dry and the food did not seem fresh.
Me and the Clark Clan had dinner here one evening and it was delicious.
Your food is awsome and delicious
I had the salmon curry and loved it. So yummy.
Always a great meal and the best staff.
Food is delicious and service friendly!
Really good service. Food decent. Portions are nice
Good food. Excellent service!
A great soup spot. When you are feeling under the weather and want clean healing food. When you are hungry for delicious, clean and satisfying food this is a great place in the area.
The standouts were the soups. We tried all of them. And the crispy appetizers. We shared noodles that were good but not masterful.
