The other side of the restaurant is being remodeled, so I went to the right side of the restaurant and it was very crowded for a Thursday night. Prices have gone up a lot. $8 for a large Thai tea but it’s the best that I’ve tasted with the right amount of tea, crème, and sugar. I will say that the food is kind of oily this time around. All the customers were Latinos, they must love Thai food! It can be difficult to find parking.

They tend to rush you so they can seat the next customers. Extra fish, served on a small plate, is $6. Extra shrimp, is about $1.08 each shrimp for the seafood soup.

PAD-SEE-EW LA LA! Ocha Classic has to have some of the most tasty Pad see ew ever, the rice noodles are perfect and the tofu is crispy with a hint of fried egg inside! I also recommend getting a tasty Thai iced tea and the glass noodles with a side of beef, they're scrumptious. The establishment has a classic ambiance and is right in the heart of LA so you get to see the hustle and bustle charm of the city as you eat! The restaurant itself is actually pretty laid back, the clientele were easygoing and I'm so glad there wasn't any screaming kids, it's totally my style! I wish I could say the staff are the same, however they're quite blunt, bitter and not very attentive. I walk in and the first thing I see is a notice of a ten percent charge which is applied to final bill just for sitting in-house! Um no! Good thing the food tasted good!

Great food, we tried the hot soup middle spcicy and was full of flavor, rice noodles were fantastic, as well orange chicken and spring rolls, fresh food and delicious. Totally Recommend

Very quick service. Super spacious, and amazing food. They have a lot of cushioned booths. The hot soup bowl with the fire was good and entertaining. The Thai iced tea was very sweet.

I’m from Georgia I went there yesterday 1/20/2025 to get some food I was missing two chow meins I send my niece to get them because I have to come back to Georgia they only gave her one I called and I told them I was going to put a bad review they didn’t care. I had all the receipts to show them and they also didn’t care about that. I was in LA for so many years and they even knew me there and my children but now I think they don’t care about customers service. M.T

Entras y esperan que cuando te sientes ya sepas qué vas a pedir, nos atendió una chinita de muy mala gana! La comida muy rica

It was packed as always, the wait was about 15 min for 7 of us on a Saturday but only a very small portion of the restaurant is open the rest is shut down, we googled the code and it's for vermin. Oh well..

Food was great as always but server was rude when it came time for payment demanding that I leave a tip because of the amount of food we ordered let alone it wasn't much 2 soups and like three sides for 4 and when I was writing down the tip she said u better leave tip so I decided not too because of the way she was talking to us bit other than that the food was great

Even when you point it out. lady who didn't speak english took our order and brought wrong item and got upset and even had a whole meeting and tried to make me pay for something I didn't order.

I told them I didn't mind paying it the issue is they don't know how to accept an error on their end and when you point it out
they make and point the finger at the customers.

AVOID COMING HERE AND RUINING YOUR EVENING..

The lack of respect from the servers at Ocha Thai is truly disappointing. I thought I was the only one experiencing this, but after reading several reviews, it’s clear that this is a common issue. It’s frustrating when the staff makes a mistake and then tries to blame the customer. The servers, particularly the ladies who take the orders, seem to have a hard time understanding the requests, which leads to errors.

I had the same problem when they brought me the wrong item and then tried to charge me for it, even after I politely asked for the correct dish. Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and poor attitude from the staff is unacceptable, especially when you're paying $70 or more for a meal.

The food isn’t the issue, but the service absolutely is. No one deserves to be treated like this at a place with these prices.

Good 7 sea food soup with white rice

Ocha classic 1 under construction or renovations it has moved next door to the smaller ocha location. There are no signs to direct where to go but they have an employee tell you what door to walk into. It's more crowded then usual. Food is kind of the same the soup has lost it's touch a little most likely it's a new cook.

Really bad service!!😡. They don’t speak fully English, don’t even pay attention when you speaking to them or what you asked for. Today we came for lunch during a rush hour and when you talk to them they don’t even respond, bad manner, and with an attitude. We have been coming to this please for years but lately the service is getting worse and worse, very disappointing!!!!!

Every time I come here the prices go up lol 6 months ago it was about 74 for a order, few months ago it was 92 and today was 109.

My bf and I and friends been going to this place for 15 years. I always order the same items on the menu. One day the server brought me the wrong soup. I did not realize it was not what I ordered until I found out it was chicken in my mouth.I informed the server the order was wrong. Instead of apologizing she gave me attitude. So I left the restaurant and about a month later I went back to eat with my bf. Still to this day the server thinks I messed up on the order previously. I went to 3rd St and Normandie all the workers know me and what I always order. I don't really tip when service fee is applied to bill.

Ive been coming to this restaurant for over 20 yrs food is not the same...very disappoint it, the soup is missing flavor. No ginger and lemon grass its just bland,they need to bring back the real thai flavor to their food.. More expensive less food and bad flavor. I would mind the price if the food was as good as before.

I came to this restaurant in 1986 the food was okay but i moved to the valley in 1996! since then i havent gone back to this restaurant till now but now im highly disappointed! the food was DISGUSTING the food isnt good anymore it’s expensive and the food doesnt taste like before it tastes preheated because when they seated me with my family we just been sitting there for one minute and they brought us the food all cold and preheated tastes like fast food!

This used to be a good place to go eat. Now, you wait in line to be seated, and once you get a table, they rush you to order, eat, and push you out, literally. From the time you sit, order, and get your food, it is about 5-6 minutes. (For 5 people) On top, they are now adding a$10 service fee. For them It's just a transaction. Get in, eat, pay, and get out. Yet the lines are still long.

Siempre que voy a los angeles me gusta pasar a comer en ese lugar la comida tailandesa , no recuerdo el nombre pero me gusta un caldo que sirven con camarones y almejas , y lo ponen para que se esté calentando en tu mesa , loa fideos con carne , buenísimos y un te helado que sirven súper , no olviden dejar su billete para el buda que está en la caja , para la buena 🍀 suerte .
