The Baseline: For Thai food it must have traditional ingredients (basil, chilis, curry, etc), be prepared well, and have the right adjustments to spiciness.
Food: BKK Street Thai is great Thai food! I get it for takeout most of the time but the taste is super. The spicy garlic green beans are becoming my go to if I am not in full curry mode. The fried tofu is awesome and worth trying as an appetizer. The chicken satay is delicious with a delectable peanut sauce. They always adjust for my spice mood and always ask.
Service: Great service every time I go. They are really attentive in a sit down service and always efficient with take out orders.
Ambiance: This is a great privately owned restaurant with cool neon lighting and the tables are well situated to the space. You can watch the cooks prepare you food over the prep counter.
Update:
We had the ginger rice which is incredibly tasty.

Had lunch today with my wife. The BKK Street Lunch Fried Chicken and Skewers were delicious! Service was at the right pace and attentive. Will come back again.
I want original Thai food , then I see in Uber
1.yum woon sen = I don’t like it test fake lime and not test like Thai , pork test good but should be minced pork
2. Tom Kay Kai = test like Thai but to much lime and chicken very dry
3. Herbal wings = I love it test original Thai and recommend !!
4. Thai tea = test thai and I like but to sweet if you don’t like sugar nit recommend I wish if you can pick level sugar will be perfect!
And other menu look interesting I will try and order next time
☺️
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was remind me of Thailand, good vibes, relaxing, and calm Thai music get an adequate amount of food for what you’re paying for cooked to good
The only issue is the yellow curry is a little watery, but if you put that with the rice.
Then it's cooked to perfection
especially the spice accurate. It was very clean and organized in the restaurant.
Ordered the tom yum soup with shrimp, pad thai with tofu, and sides of jasmine rice. The tom yum was tasty and not heavily seasoned with msg so I'd recommend it. The flavor on the pad thai isn't bad, but the noodles were too mushy for my preference. I like how I don't feel I'm dying of thirst, so I would go back for the tom yum and try something else.
Laziest mango sticky rice, leaving the skin on the mango… it’s not edible. It’s hard to get off you can’t even eat it with the rice…. Easily could just serve it correctly without the skin on it.. this isn’t traditional.. it’s lazy and bad practice
This restaurant was recommended by a friend of mine to try the crab fried rice. The customer service was awful. The woman kept rushing us to order things off the menu when I was our first time. We asked for recommendations she just had a really poor attitude. I ordered the shrimp fried rice I do not recommend it it was really bad. I ordered Thai wings, they were tasteless and tough, the chef should have cooked it longer. I do not recommend going there if want a good Thai experience.
Great

Not the fanciest, but for the price the food and service were excellent!
Tasty pad thai and excellent service
Excellent !
The employees can turn hostile when answering questions and food is mediocre. Also, no restrooms available
Their spicy garlic soybeans and their sticky mango rice are delicious!! My go to spot for Thai food.
First time I’ve had slow roasted beef in panang curry, absolutely delicious. 10/10 highly recommend!
Been here many times, best Thai food in the south bay. Chicken satay with peanut sauce 😋 Noodles, rice, soup everything is good.
Ordered on UberEats -Simply put, this is the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. I got the Phad Thai , Papaya Crab Salad, and the Panang Curry. The salad smelled rotten, and there were tiny crab shells inside; the Phad Thai was pink and tasted so sweet, and the curry was inedible. I threw my 65 dollar meal in the trash and was not refunded for it! Absolutely stunned that people are actually giving this place high marks.
Delicious food

visiting LA and this restaurant is really close by my hotel. i ordered Khao Mun Gai Tod (Rice with Fried Chicken) and surprisingly delicious!! my very first time trying thai fried chicken and i love it! i also can taste the rice is different, i think it’s cooked with chicken broth and it’s taste amazing!
Wanted to try something different in the area, 1st time here, stopped by and tried the Pad Ke Mao, it was tasty and fresh reminded of great Druken Noodles I have had in the past. I ordered the Mild noodles, and it was pretty much on point for a 3 out of 5 in spicy level that I was expecting. On Thai hot scale its a 1.5 or 2 from a 5 point scale. Next time I will try the Spicy or Level 4. Good stuff, I will be back to try other dishes. Note, I stopped by before luch rush hour and it started getting busy then, when lunch time hit, this place got swamped, plan accordingly.

Friendly customer service, great looking restaurant, and delicious food.

Authentic Thai food. The staff are friendly and making sure we have everything we need. Food is delicious too. Reasonable price and clean.
First time here and I took the recommendation of the server to try the steam chicken street special. I used to live in Thailand so I’ve had a lot of Thai food! It’s was unlike any dish I have tried before because their sauces they serve it with are unbelievably fantastic!!!! So much flavor. I will be back.
My husband and I came here on a whim since we were both craving Hainan Chicken. We went to Heng Heng, but they were closed, so steamed chicken it was! We ordered salted crab papaya salad, steamed chicken (Khao Man Gai), and shrimp pad see ew. Everything was delicious. The dipping sauces are definitely different than Hainan Chicken, but still tasty. The dish comes with a a side broth. The only complaint I have is that they didn't have any powdered chili spice or pickled jalapeños. The only thing they had for spice was fresh Thai chilis. Other than that, everything was great. This spot isn't ideal for big parties, maybe only parties or 2-4. I did notice that many people like to grab food from here through delivery services or as take-out. Service was quick. There's free parking in the lot.
Worst customer service I have ever had in my entire life.
The cashier, came in 20 mins late, gave me attitude about asking for my food in a to go box to eat half there / half at home. The worst part was she followed me outside to tell me I didn’t bus my own table… first of all there’s no trash cans inside so that’s impossible for me to do but some people take pride in starting conflict with customers for no reason at all…
Hope you guys fire this individual so you can prosper as a business! Food was great, customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced…
Ordered online. The yellow curry is super watery, no thickness what so ever. Also tastes like red curry not yellow curry. It also had peanuts in it. A bunch of peanuts! It doesn't compliment the curry. Furthermore, some bites were gritty like there was sand in it!!! I won't order here again. This was the worse Thai curry I've ever had in my life. They need to hire a new cook.
Ordered their pineapple fried rice and steamed chicken rice. Steamed chicken rice is okay, not like the Hainan style I wanted. My friend ordered lineapple fried rice and said was pretty good and would recommend.
The plaza is a bit crowded and hard to exit
My fiancé and I were very excited to try this place but decided to take our business elsewhere.
*TLDR*
This is a long review/opinion piece, so buckle up! I’m getting very tired of restaurants closing before their advertised time and I’ve noticed it’s becoming very common post covid. Maybe I’m one of the outliers in LA that typically eats dinner between 8-9 pm however, I don’t believe it should be so challenging to find food other than fast food after 8. This is a long review so leave now if you so choose! Here are the details:
Restaurant closes at 9:30 as advertised.
My fiancé and I drive 20 minutes to get their.
Arrive at 8:48.
I ask for a table and the lady says they took last call already. (The ambience is super cool inside so we planned on eating there).
I ask what time they close, she says 9:30 but they took last call on food at 9.
I tell her it’s 8:48.
She then says they took last call at 8:45.
We both laugh because she realized how silly she sounds. (Tell me you don’t want my money without telling me you don’t want my money).
So then I say, “just to confirm, you close at 9:30, but you really close at 9, but you stop taking orders at 8:45”
“Yes”
Her - “you can place an order for takeout”
My fiancé and I looked at the menu to order but than decided we didn’t want to eat Thai food in the car or drive another 20 minutes to eat at home. We decided that we’d prefer to give our money to another business. We left and ate next door at L&L.
ps. L&L closes at 9 and let us order food at 8:50. We left them a generous tip, were very appreciative, ate quickly, and cleaned up after ourselves because we knew they were closing.
Very good Thai food 👌
Yummy
Love the foods here not too sweet, especially Chicken Rice love it!, great atmosphere not like fancy but cozy . Great spot to grab something when you are hungry.
The food we ordered had something very hard inside, like a stone or something. It almost broke a tooth when chewing. When we informed this to the person in charge, it said "we don't have stones in the kitchen", instead of saying "we are sorry" or "we will check that this doesn't happen again". Terribly negligent attitude!
Customer service rude.
Fantastic food. Had the green curry with chicken and a friend ordered Pad Thai. Both were ordered "Thai Spicy".
The dishes were great and true to their spice level. If you do not like it very spicy, just say so.
Would definitely go again
The skinny girl at the register has a terrible attitude and bad hearing and charges you an extra plate that you didn’t choose. Terrible service terrible food that girl at the register is ruining your business I’d highly recommend she gets replaced

I’ve ordered delivery here and eaten in person. Food portions are generous and most importantly DELICIOUS. I’m super happy with how it holds up in delivery. Staff is so friendly and checks in on you the perfect amount. Love this place!
Food was Great, Service and and delivery fast..
But when you give me an option of no spicy to Thai spicy and I pick all Thai spicy and I feel like I need Tapatio to add some heat.. that’s a fail..
Everything was perfect!!!. Always consistent
La femme a la reception pas professionnel et impolie
Honestly the food has gone down in quality the last few months. It feels like they just push out orders and don’t care about quality control. The person running the register is also always so rude when picking up an order. Save your money and go to a local mom and pop shop where the flavor of food is on point unlike this facility.
The food is nasty!... not fresh and low quality.
After i have read many reviews here. I don't get why they got a bad comments, practically the food are well made and delicious. All people who work in the kitchen are Thai, so it means they know how to make Thai food properly. If you try to walk a away of this place because of these bad reviews. I will give them a chance. Try it and you won't disappoint. Cheers😋😋😋
Panang beef curry was great
We ordered Green beans and Garlic no Flavor… Garlic dish with no flavor, how?! Chicken curry was super sweet. We ordered extra chicken Im going to assume they missed but I’m not mad because the food was so bad. I say skip this and to go to Raising Caine.
Best curry and chicken satay I’ve had in a long long time ! Stopped here before getting to the airport & had the best meal !!!!
A bit pricy, no surprise. I don't expect having street Thai food for $30 bucks... Do you?
Eat here weekly. Tried a lot of other places in the area but BKK has more flavor and proper rangoons than any of em!
Супер 🔥🔥🔥👍
They new and you can tell. So my Thai fried rice was missing peas and carrots chewed on a couple of eggs shells and the pad Thai has no flavor. I will say step your game up or I will have stick to Thai dishes in Manhattan Beach.
This was a a test and you failed tonight water my money ended up tossing fried rice and noodle in trash
Great pad sew ew, friendly staff, and even willing to mix and match desserts for us.
Always need to call ahead to make sure they are actually open. The order went through and get charged but the store is closed. Turn your receive end off if you are not open!
The Tom Yum soup was well balanced; a nice flavor of lemongrass paired with vegetables. Pad Thai had to try and it really hit the spot. Bangkok rolls helped cut the spice and were beautiful and fresh with a nice sweet sauce. The spicy basil fried rice has a nice sweetness. The standout may have been the chicken larb. Spicy is pretty hot, and could have probably gone down to medium but it was still bearable and all delicious. Nice little local spot hidden around the corner; glad to have it so close.
Excellent tasty food, servers hot with reasonable prices. Warm welcoming people.
Tantilizng. First time here, asked what was recommended, besides my small cup of soup. Young lady suggested Thai fried rice. Powerful flavors, for a semi-fast lunch...with left overs. Not inexpensive, but a darn good way to kick off a foggy Monday!
A small hole in the wall that gives good value for its entries. The staff are professional and curious.
great tom yum soup!!
This is my favorite Thai place in the South Bay. I am trying to leave more reviews for things because for someone who checks reviews always I never leave reviews.
This spot is a bit tucked away but it is bomb.
Everything is fresh and tastes really good! The prices are really reasonable considering the quality
Casual Thai street eats right off the 405. Came here for an early dinner around 5:30 and got seated immediately. There’s indoor seating (no outdoor available) plus takeout/delivery. Credit cards are accepted. Plenty of parking in the lot. There’s a single occupant bathroom in the back.
Food wise, everything we ordered was yummy and the prices were reasonable. The pad Thai was very moist and the noodles were nice and squishy. The Tom yum soup comes in a small and large option. I really liked their thai iced tea and it overly sweet. The veggie egg rolls come piping hot and is a good vegetarian option (though it’s an appetizer, it’s serving size is enough for a light meal for one). The Zyza fried chicken is smaller in portion size but is super crispy and is a good dish to split in a group of two or three. It came with a sweet chili sauce on the side.
Overall, good spot for a workweek lunch or a casual dinner in a small group.
Kinda pricy but good portions and taste. I'd refer and return😊
I honestly feel like we were somehow wronged. Never had I rated anything a one star. This place has friendly service but the food was only okay. We ordered Pad ke mou, Shrimp Pad Thai and Chow Mein. It was $50 which would have been fine had any of the three dishes been good. My family was so disappointed that my husband had to run out to get Sansai and I wanted to return all of it but since we ordered three different dishes and all were subpar I felt the best thing to do was to give my neighbors a heads up. Don't waste your $ here.
Only reason I don’t give this place 4 stars is because the service, it’s impossible to communicate with the cashier even if I tried several ways, I got my order wrong and didn’t even attempt to say anything because I knew they wouldn’t understand me.
I
This place is incredibly delicious. I will be going back this month. The staff is friendly and helpful, I asked for a recommendation and I wasn't disappointed. I recommend the bkk fried chicken specialty.
Very yummy and friendly staff. Must try 😊
Nothing to write home about. Small portions.
The food is Excellent! Can't wait to try more dishes. Tried the crab fried rice. Thai spicy tastes flavourful and has some kick!
Super good quality Thai food!! Filling and not oily with good prices (especially for lunch). Definitely tastes distinct from all the other Thai places I have tried
I dont like to give bad reviews but people need to be warned.. terrible taste very over priced, its even bad if you try to give this away for free...
We ordered the roti curry $9 very small order but then again it was an appetizer, the bread was very
oily and the dip was super watery, i said no spice but it was still a bit spicy... we also order som tum bkk st. (Salted crab salad with papaya) for $9 not at all our taste, was like they either dipped everything in Ocean water or sewer water... then we ordered the banana with coconut ice cream for $9, probably the only thing that didn't taste bad, but it was a super small cup with 6 small pieces of fried wrapped banana segments, the ice cream tasted like it was melted then refrozen.. thai tea was very bland... save your money..
Love the food and the staff is friendly and I never wait long for my food.
Great Thai food
Great place for Thai food. I usually order the Papaya salad and fried tofu and I recommend this place if you haven't tried 👍
Pad thai awesome
Delicious and Fresh food.
Its a twist on thai food,it's still really good.
The food is very delicious and affordable. My husband and I will be coming back to BKK Street Thai Eatery.
