The food was not the best that I had, in fact I had the runs that day and the next.
I ordered egg rolls, papaya salad, sticky rice and a Nam Vam. The egg roll sauce was good, just a lil too sweet for my liking...the papaya salad was too sweet, even though I asked for the salad to be more on the sour side.
The service I liked. They were quick, nice and professional.
The Atmosphere was cool, they look clean, have indoor and outdoor seating options. This location is far.
Delicious food!!!! The customer service was awsome. Fry took real good care of us. The outdoor atmosphere is beautiful. Only thing missing is maybe some heaters for the colder days. The food took some time to come out but once we received our order there wasn't a dish that disappointed! Highly recommend the pork belly, spring rolls and cucumber salad. Definitely our new fav spot!
These are the items I ordered.
khaub poob tso - entire dish 6/10, the pork belly is 10/10. I expected the noodles to be freshly made and not sticky, but The noodles were clumped together and sticky. Some noodles broke off into little pieces. I think when orders are made for this dish, the noodles should be boiled in hot water for 5 minutes or so before making the dish. 3/10 for the noodles. I didn't use the sweat sauce, but I did use the pepper. The spice level of the pepper was good, but it was missing fish sauce and lime. 5/10 for the pepper.
Cucumber salad - 10/10, the sauce is delicious and the way how the cucumber was cut was perfect. Not too big and too small. It wasn't soggy and it makes sense to package the cucumber salad in a bag for no spills.
Eggroll - 6/10, the taste was bland and very little meat.
Meatball - 5/10, it was good to try.
Me and my family order from here quite often because we live close by and the price was decent before but ever since that Halloween event they had, they jump their prices up 3-5 dollars for some of their food. That's too much of a shock for customers who have to travel far out here. We loved their steamroll and egg rolls for the price of $10 for a dozen and we kept coming because of it but now it jumped up to $15 dollars. Yikes. Getting 4-5 things will serve you up to a total of $100 or more. For just a small sausage and small amount of sticky rice that should be just be 7-8 dollars, it just isn't worth it.
Alright! Another Honest Food Review.
For those who don't know already, this is a Hmong restaurant that sells hmong food.
Let's start with the drink. We ordered the Nam Vam, and my wife loved it, and of course, my kids loved it as well. Always a kid fan favorite with the honey/ syrup and tapioca like noodles.
The catfish with sticky rice was delicious as well, soft and very flavorful with lots of aromas coming from all the greens that it was cooked with, also the spiciness is perfect!
Sticky rice and Hmong sausage are good as well. The only thing I would change or complain about would be the pepper sauce that it comes with. It is spicy but doesn't compliment the sausage when eating it all together, I'd rather just get the sweet sauce instead.
Steam rolls were delicious. Everything about them were perfect to me, from the taste to the consistency of the roll itself to how much meat is supposed to be in it was very well balanced. Also, a small touch is how they were made. Instead of being folded like most, these were rolled, and that made a difference to me.
Eggrolls were something else. The first thing that you will notice is the glistening shine that the eggrolls have when you see the eggroll. Also, the smell will remind you of churros, so the first bite and smell will throw you off thinking you are eating a churro. Another thing would be the crispness that the eggroll had was perfect! When you take your first bite, you will notice that it's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, like how it should be. Most eggrolls have a crunch crunch when you eat them, but these were perfect and only had 1 crunch and then softness. It was perfect, and the sauce was perfect with the sweet sauce.
Overall, it's a great place with even outdoor dining, I would come back for sure to eat here, and they also cater food! So for sure, we will be back!
My mom ordered a cucumber salad medium and it was way too spicy for her to even eat. The food was $30 dollars. When she went to them to let them know they would not refund her or make her another one. They only offered her to purchase another salad. Which of course she refused. The customer service is horrible, the food was thrown together, and we felt played and like there was a lot of prejudice involved. Will not be ever going back
Expensive food. It was okay nothing special. Did I mention EXPENSIVE food. Price doesn't match with the portion or quality.
Hella kool Hmong food truck with good food - sausage, rice, and noodles - we got the Hmong sausage with rice and papaya salad hella bomb.
The homie took my order quick and fantastic service! Will come back!
Hmong sausage is delicious, egg rolls are great and affordable, highly recommended this place if you are in the area as the hmong food is great.
Bomb food, fast service, and great people. Highly recommend you won't regret it.
So good, spicy sauce is friggin hot.

It was good, but the papaya it was super sweet, I didn't like it. Overall, the food I ordered was tasty.
Quality has gone down. Order a plate of papaya, it was too sweet. I added noodles and paid an extra $2 just to not get any noodles at all. Would not go again.
I love the food here was so delicious and got it hot and fresh the sticky rice is delicious will definitely be back! Thank you.
This place is Bomb! Everything is good! Pork belly. Noodles soup with vegetables.

Sorry was getting gas but look good for in and out lunch or dinner

Came by here yesterday with my wife and sister-in-law. It was a great stop as we were driving back from visiting family up north. As many road trippers may know, there aren't many places to eat when it comes to restaurants around national parks (like Yosemite, Mono Lake, etc.) in California. So late in the evening, we were thrilled to have stumbled upon Malee's Kitchen that's in close proximity to a gas station. There's even an indoor and outdoor dining section.
We were very hungry when we arrived and ordered pork belly with sticky rice, papaya salad that's extra spicy, steamed catfish with sticky rice, spring rolls, and two large nab vam. Everything was delicious. The pork belly was well seasoned. I'm Puerto Rican and can be picky with pork, but that was delicious.
My wife and sister-in-law said the papaya salad authentic. My sister-in-law stated the papaya salad is the best she had in California that's only second to the way their mom makes it. That's high praise. She had another interesting statement though and said it was "danky delicious"--whatever that meant to her palate.
The nam vam was refreshing and great to drink during the journey back.
Overall, everything was flavorful and filling, and we were happy to have the energy to be back on the road. (We will we have to make a point to return again when traveling in the future. 🚗🌄)
I Just Had The Pork Belly And Some Eggrolls..
WoW ...
Fucken Good !!!!
Fresh... And The sauce Is Off The Jook....
Most Definitely will be back and I Highly Recommend ...
Hmong pork sausage w/sticky rice pepper and 3 eggroll with the peanut sauce was amazing something I can eat at home everyday that I like :) will be back to try other items :)
I was recommended this place by a friend. Upon visiting I was greeted by, who I assume is the owner or store manager, who took my order of khao poon, sausage and papaya salad. He was very friendly. The indoor seating area was kept very clean, from what I could tell. The food for me was just kinda average though, but everyone has their own preferences. Prices are a little high for the food quality.
Great place. Food is always fresh and tasty. The kitchen and patio are always clean.
The egg rolls are to die for. OMG so good
I travel far and wide. I finally found my best papaya salad. The noodles/papaya salad was on point. Everything was great. Keep up the good foods and excellent service. I will be back every year for more.
Food was delicious. Great service. They should put something covering. Where do people stand it was definitely hot that day.
Pretty yummy authentic tasting food!
I recommend the steamed egg rolls, fish dish, curry noodles.
The fried eggrollss are average good. Usually hmong egg rolls are a lot thicker and there's more filling. The hmong sausage was too sweet , did not taste authentic tho.
And their peanut dipping sauce could be more spicier.
Overall, pretty good. Everyone's friendly, but they could improve a little bit more!
I see that they make great food, but I'm puzzled by the claim that this place serves authentic Hmong street food because the dishes they offer actually belong to Lao, Vietnamese, and Thai cuisines. It's important to honor each culture's culinary traditions accurately. While diversity in food offerings can be appreciated, mislabeling dishes can diminish the uniqueness and cultural significance of each cuisine. It's crucial for establishments to accurately represent the origins of their dishes to maintain authenticity and respect for food cultures.
We went to get some tum pho today. It was disappointing. Not enough sauce so the noodles soaked up all the sauce and it was dry. Also you guys need fresh meatballs. You can taste its old meatballs and has overdue smell. Waste gas and time to come far for a disappointment.
Eggrolls, good. Steamrolls, good. That's about it. I tried giving the place 3x (at different times) a chance, but it never cease to cross a certain threshold of goodness.
Namva is not great. I got it 3x and it's always got a weird taste to it. Can't put my finger on it. But I'm not a fan. Fried pork is decent, but so tough to eat. I think it was fried to a crisp! The chicken taste like chicken. Nothing special. The coating could be better! It was loaded with too much powdered pepper. The papaya is okay. It also has a weird after taste to it as well. The sausage taste like sausage. Yet, you can't mis-cook sausage. So, eh.
Other than the food being mediocre, the service is great! And the place is cute.
If you're looking for authentic Hmong Street Cuisine in Fresno, look no further than Malee's Kitchen. The food is absolutely phenomenal, with rich and complex flavors! The menu offers a great variety of dishes, each more delicious than the last. My
go-to dishes are the Pork Belly and Hmong Sausage with the Chili sauce! Whether you're a local or just passing through Fresno, Malee's Kitchen is a dining experience you shouldn't miss.
I ordered 60 dollars worth of food chicken and sticky rice plate , pork belly plate, cucumber salad ,egg rolls and Thai tea and I feel robbed not for the price but because I paid so much for terrible food my salad and tea were very good the egg rolls were decent but the chicken was soggy and rubbery my pork belly was forgot then when I asked for it they gave me one in literally like 2 minutes I know it was sitting and not made fresh there was no crispness to it or meat really just rubbery goo very very dissatisfying considering my friends highly recommend it even stating my food wasn’t what you guys put out to them maybe it was because I went late around 7 idk
Service was good but I feel like the food was overhype. The kappon was not my type honestly. It was thick and oily. The steam rolls are ok not too bad . Egg rolls is ok too. The beef tendon soup was aright . The pork belly was dry . The nava was not balance . Over all the atmosphere was clean . But I feel like the food was not all that like it’s advertised. I did order a lot of food but I would not go back honestly. Food was ok . U can give it a try if u want .
Egg rolls ALWAYS on point!
$1 egg rolls
Friendly people great food
My order got lost in the kitchen. Called and they asked me what my ETA was, I said 15 minutes, got there and they said it'll be ready in 15 minutes. waited additional 25 minutes for the food, why do you ask people their ETA and then don't have it ready. Rather go to LA Kitchen at least they tell you straight up how long it'll be until it's ready.
Food delicious especially There egg rolls perfect service and very clean
Honestly I wasn't really impressed. I ordered the meatballs on the stick and the pork belly with rice. The meatballs were excellent but the pork belly was a little overcooked and hard.
One of my favorite Hmong places! The pork belly is good
Service was good. The eggrolls were nice and crispy, but flavor is missing something and it’s too much black pepper. The steam roll was nice and warm, could use a little bit more salt for seasoning. The dipping sauces on both peanut and the vinegar are missing something it’s like they had too much vinegar and not enough of the sweet. The peanut sauce was too spicy, not balanced.
NEVER order the meatballs, it is a waste of money and the fact that they price it for three dollars for four meatballs is a bit ridiculous. Because the meatballs are not what you see on the advertisement banners. Their meatballs are the kind you get a pho restaurant. It’s those gray rubbery like meatballs, dipped in a sweet and sour sauce and then fried or vice versa.
Update: tried to give this place a second chance. But this place is highly overpriced for the quality of the food. Fried chicken plate with sticky rice, which you only get 5 wing pieces and a small bundle of rice for $14. Sad to say, total rip off. Do better, please.
Pork belly with sticky rice and egg rolls we're so delicious 😋 definitely going back
There was a chance of rain around noon on a Saturday and quiet a few people dining on out door patio! After finishing my fried pork belly/sticky rice and egg rolls I understood why so many were there! I'll be back!!
Love this place! The egg rolls are 🔥! Do not sleep on this place.

The eggrolls was delicious everything was neat and tasty. I had the chicken wings and those was good too. I’ll return and also Tell a friend
This place is hidden treasures for me. it is hard to find authentic food in Central Valley, CA. I ordered papaya salad, grill meat ball, steam roll, pork belly, steam fish with rice and beef tendon. All are tasty 😋 and authentic. very satisfied.
Great food and great vibe with plenty of seating tables.
Egg rolls were pretty good with the sweet and sour sauce. I didn’t receive the sweet and sour sauce this time even though I ordered it. I wish spring rolls had less noodles and more veggies/meat. Peanut sauce is good. Thai tea tasted weird and it was too creamy this time. Last time it was good. I’ll probably come back to try other food items.
Food was ok. My kapoon was very oily though. I wish they added more meat because there was barely any meat in my kapoon….around 3 good size pieces of shredded chicken only. My husband got 2 orders of sausage with sticky rice and 2 orders of pork belly and sticky rice with extra pepper sauce, which we paid for $1.00 extra each container (we got 4) and did not get, so $4.00 wasted. We got our order to go, which we didn’t realize our missing 4 containers of pepper sauce until we were on the road. We were heading home back to Socal and did not want to turn back just for our pepper sauce that we paid for but did not get.
This place is doing things right. Good food. Fair prices.
Some days are good, some days are bad.☹️ Some days the food tastes good and some days the food taste ok. 😔
Bomb 💥
I've been coming to this establishment for about 3 months now off and on. Everything is great, staff is polite and friendly, plenty of seating, I was there today:) thank you guys for a great place to eat !
DISSAPOINTED !! I called an hour ahead. A guy picked up, and put in my order. I told them that I work in Merced so I’ll be there in 1 hour to pick them up. When I arrived, she said she didn't see my orders and asked what was my order so they can make it real fast. I waited again for another 25 minutes.
Love this place! Lost count on how many times we order from here! Try the steam rolls and egg rolls they are delicious!
Love the atmosphere, excellent service & tasty food!
Absolutely love this place every time we come into town from SoCal! Not only are you getting fresh food, but outstanding customer service as well. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for quality food!
Egg rolls are very good
I was blown away by the attention to detail in every aspect of our dining experience. The food was beyond delicious, and the ambiance was perfect for a special occasion.
This was my second time trying at this place. Everything was really good but I was disappointed cause of the wings I oder...was given wings that was not a full size wings no rice and still charged me $12.....don't get the wings but every thing else is bomb.
Love this place. I hope they open up in visalia ,it would be a big hit ,
Made an order over the phone. Inconvenient payment methods as they only accept Venmo, Paypal, and Apple Pay. Then, you have to send screenshots to confirm the payment. Had to call the following day as I never received a bill via text. The day of, they forgot to provide the person picking up my order a large tray of food, I only ordered 3 large trays. Rather inconvenient since the driver was on the way to the party. I understand the driver should have known the order. However, staff should have confirmed all was there. If they can create a better payment/ordering/confirmation system, that would be great. Otherwise, the food tasted good, and the staff was nice.
My soup was cold. I asked for a refund they offered to reheat it. But I didn’t want my soup any more i wanted my money back. Overpriced for small portions. Never coming back! If you want better tasting food go to LA kitchen.
bomb food always stopping by cuz it’s great 🥶
The Tum Pho and Egg rolls are great! They serve from a food truck and there’s indoor and outdoor seating. Their customer service was amazing as well! I would definitely recommend!
However, the Nab Vam was way too sweet so I would definitely suggest getting 50% or 25% sugar. Also, I would not recommend getting the fried chicken, it was 5 tiny chicken wings and definitely did not look like the photo and was not worth the price.
The food here is good as for price you can say it’s like any food truck range and amount. I would say good place to stop and try out the food.
had to come back for some yummy egg rolls.
I heard about this place from my sister and decided to try it. I ordered one rice plate with sausage, one rice plate with pork belly, and some egg rolls. The pepper was a bit salty for me but the spice was good. The peanut sauce was the perfect consistency. Everything was very satisfying. Will definitely come here again.
Alright! Another Honest Food Review.

Very good food here! Love the papaya!
Authentic hmong food! Delicious!
Their food is ok if someone was bringing it to a family picnic or potluck at work while claiming it as their own. Unfortunately, their dishes taste like someone Googled the recipes and didn't know how they're supposed to taste like. Their pepper sauce mix had a weird aftertaste. Their Thai tea wasn't sweet. Their pork sausage needs to be revamped. Sorry, but I won't be returning for overpriced food with skimpy portions. Y'all could've at least given more sticky rice and pepper for the less than average tasting Hmong pork sausage that was served.
their Khaub Poob, Eggrolls, and Papaya are flavorful :D
We like the pork with rice plate. The prices are high for the portion though. Very nice customer service.
Poor quality-high priced food. The first time I ate there I got sick. I’ll never return.
Food is about the same as a/c deli, sweet mango, or lao thai, but way more expensive. 12 bucks for a sausage and sticky rice plate is ludicrous. The chili they give is really watery and not enough too. Everyone is really nice, but the store needs to match or beat the competition's prices, give better portions, or make it more delicious since the food is more or less the same as similar delis. Not impressed. Rather dissatisfied
Egg rolls 10/10♡
Phenomenal!
No Bueno
Dont order on fake website
Clean and large space to experience the cuisine from one of ok it newest cultures in the valley.
Southeast Asian cuisine naturally followed the wave of immigration to the Valley, heightened in the 1970s. Hmong cuisine, in particular, took a bit longer, IMHO, due to many factors including the brave struggle to succeed in America, and the fact the the majority of immigrants came after 1970.
Having grown up on Chinese cuisine, I celebrate the opening of Malee's Kitchen in Southeast Fresno. Exotic tastes and preparation, with a hint of the ancestral connections in the mountains of Laos/China.
Not the least is how Malee's Kitchen set up your dining experience. A quaint indoor diner is juxtaposed to a new, extended food truck with the works. Friendly and efficient staff prepared your food in a quick and clean manner, while you wait either indoors or outdoors under large umbrellas on a huge concrete patio. This place does food right.
12/10 Legit fast food home style cooking when you’re on the go and need a healthy balanced meal. On rough days when I don’t want to eat their soups are absolutely delicious I recommend the khapoon or beef tendon soup. Keep up the great work and food.
Definitely going to recommend to anyone. Best place for hmong food. Check it out, you'll love it.
Hands down the best egg rolls in town and it's not even close. Very friendly staff and I love their patio seating
Everything is good
Let's start with the pro, the eggrolls I ordered were good. The flavor was spot on and eggrolls were crunchy. I was given plenty of dipping sauce, including some peanut flavor. Today was their bogo eggroll deal which was a plus. The downside of that is you can't order over the phone, so my husband had to wait an extra 25 mins for our order of 50 eggrolls.
The con, I also catered a half tray of tum pho tonight and I was really disappointed (see photo, I had to throw most of it away because the only thing left were pho noodles). I've had their regular portions of tum pho before and was really impressed, reason why I tried the half tray for my dinner party tonight. Sadly most of the tray was only pho noodles. There was not a good mixture of how they normally make their regular portions. Because there was so much noodles it absorbed all the sauce, the top half was dry! I only got a handful of shrimps and meatballs. The cabbage was also hard. This was my first time catering from their restaurant and unfortunately it will be my last. What a waste of $50. My advice to Malee's is consistency is key and don't skimp out on your customers if you want them to come back. I may order small portions again in the future but it will be awhile before I come back.
I have never wrote reviews for any business but I'm so disappointed with my purchases that I must share this here since they dont have it on their social media page. Every time I visit this place, its never consistent on serving size and the quality just really depends on who makes it. With inflation, prices increase, but serving size is horrible!!! I got a plate of papaya and it was literly 3 bites. Last, I ordered a $9 namva, and there was hardly anything but all dairy, coconut milk. I dont think I will ever go back. I thought I give it a try again but still the same or worse!
This place is pretty sweet and surprisingly great food! Tucked away behind the gas station but don’t let that fool you… These people know how to cook clean, hot, delicious food!!
My father and I were driving by and saw the lights and delicious looking food proudly on display by the patio area.
The owner Chue came out and was so friendly and helped us decide what to eat. He was very knowledgeable and had great communication and customer and hospitality skills.
Something that is greatly missing these days.
We felt very welcomed and the food as I mentioned did not disappoint.
They have an outside area which is pretty cool and kind of like a “taco truck” area with music playing but they also have an indoor area as well.
It is a family owned and operated restaurant named after Chue’s mother, which is sweet to hear. This means that the food is family which is so awesome in this day of corporations and businesses taking over everywhere.
One word about my experience. . .
My father is elderly now and doesn’t say much anymore. But he did mention how much he enjoyed the food which is saying something wonderful.
Anyone with older parents knows the few joys you feel when you are out with them. Everything hurts, takes time, and Conversations are not as stimulating as they used to be.
It’s sometimes brings tears to your eyes.
So, seeing your elderly parent light up for a few moments and enjoy food and mention it. . . is a small miracle to experience.
Thank you Malee and thank you Chue!
Soda
The papaya salad (Thai Style) and egg rolls are delicious. Friendly employees and great service.
Food here is inconsistent and isn't as tasty as others. It could be the ingridients or the way it is cooked. Portions are also too small and a little higher price than other restaurants. I reconmend making your own food rather than coming here especially if you eat/cook Laotian food.
Great fresh food and delicious with good hospitality the chicken nice and crispy pork sausage bomb
Finally got to try this place. Everything was good. The Hmong sausage was good & FRESH which is hard to find. Chili sauce was fire. I will deff be back. Food hit the spot.👌
Food was good, but just to pricey for the portion size. Papaya is just too sweet.
Good food. Quick service.
It is a banger! The egg rolls be crunchy, the porkbelly be crispy, and the rice sticky. Fairly priced and oh so tasty
Best chicken wings and egg rolls in the valley
Food was fantastic and it was pretty quick which was great because we were driving though. The guy helping me order was so nice and helpful.
I've been wanting to stop here for a minute now, and finally did! I got a dozen eggrolls, the pork ribs plate, and some Korean corndogs. I really enjoyed everything, and the service was great! Everyone was nice, and my wait time wasn't bad at all. I have zero complaints. In fact, I'll mos-def be returning!
Was just driving by, a small blink and you can miss it. But omg the food is way too good. The people are nice too and they have place inside to wait out of the heat. I am definitely going back and bringing my friends too. I found a lil gem.
Authentic hmong food. Chicken, sausage, eggroll steam rolls tasted great but was not a fan of the meatballs. Great people great service
Great customer service! The young men behind the counter and cooking our food were very courteous and polite. Food was awesome
good food. but they have a chip on their shoulder about spice levels, and they're inconsistent. depending on who's working it may 5x as hot as last time 😂
I'd eat here every day if my wallet could afford it. The food is good and the sauces are awesome. Phone orders can be a little slow sometimes so make sure you call well in advance.
I love their pork belly and the hot pepper that comes with it. I also love their steam rolls . It is authentic homemade and tastes delicious. Highly recommend this food truck ❤️
Great food and nice people running it.
The egg rolls here are the bomb! Worth the drive to get them.....go today !
Food are superb but order always took too long
EXCELLENT FOOD GREAT PRICES FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE
Delicious place! Had the pho salad and meatballs and hmoung sausage with sticky rice, their eggrolls are also very good
The foods here are not consistent, it taste different every orders. :( & every time
Great food
Great food n drinks. Prices are reasonable. The papaya salad is the bomb. Highly recommend this place!
Great food ... Very fresh .... Its maybe a little drive but well worth it and i just love that they have out door seating ...i truly enjoyed the egg rolls
Really good place for some classic hmong foods. A step above the rest, very clean and kept area with shaded outdoor eating tables. The food was absolutely on point. Will be going back soon now that we know of this place.
Bomb authentic food . Great customer service
I ordered their meatballs and egg rolls and they were real good! Their prices are reasonable for as much as you get.
I purchased the eggrolls and papaya. I love those items. It's good! Also, tried the sticky rice, it was good. The papaya is more of a spicy and sweet. Not so sour. So far, it's my favorite place to get papaya salad. It's loaded with veggies, giving it a crunch and flavor. I got the Tum Papaya. It comes with meatball & shrimp.
Taste like any other hmong food. Me n my wife spend $60 I do think it's a bit over price when they don't show the price but tell u how much it is. Will not return
Nam va was good, meatballs and laab is okay but most important they forgot my sticky rice. Saddest part was Ieft a tip too.
