Quickly seated just before the lunch bunches arrived. Very attentive service throughout the mail. Order taken quickly. Dishes removed quickly.
Chicken satay arrived very quickly. Five skewers, good size portion. Juicy. Chicken larb salad had very crisp lettuce with delicious minced chicken. Fish sauce kisses. Garlic beef was tender and yummy. We got sweet rice with mango to go for enjoyment at the end of our day. Mango was perfectly ripe and the sweet sticky rice was so good.

Love the pad kee Mao! The spice, taste and the consistency is unbeatable!

Diner Review №6

This is my go to for good Thai food anytime I have a craving for it.

The staff is always welcoming, and seating is always immediate. The restaurant itself is small and intimate, with warm lighting and a relaxed atmosphere. Though not overly decorated, it is homey and while not a place for ambience, it is decent for eating in.

The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, making it difficult to choose. There is a lot to rave about as I have tried many dishes but Satay chicken, Thai dumplings are a great choice for an appetizer. They are packed with flavorful filling, and absolutely delicious.

For the entrees, the spicy basil trout ,pad thai, and basil noodles along with Drunken chicken noodles ,all turned out great.

The highlight of the meal, however, turned out to be the drunken chicken noodles. Ordered as an extra dish to share, the stir-fried noodles were packed with flavor, with tender pieces of chicken, fragrant basil, and just the right amount of spice. The balance of savory, slightly sweet, and garlicky notes made it an instant favorite—one of those dishes that leaves a lasting impression.

Love the food here every time!

Food was amazing the first time we had it delivered. So we went for take out again after a month for the same dish - the food didn't taste the same. Inconsistency in Bay area restaurants is frustrating.

Great thai food. Outstanding recipes. Price is high, as is usual for most bay area restaurants.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Fremont. The food is excellent.

Diner Review №13

I recently tried Sala Thai and had a decent overall experience. I ordered their fried rice with fried chicken, which was flavorful but a bit on the greasy side. The fried chicken had a nice crispiness, though it could have used a touch more seasoning.

I also tried both their yellow and red curries. The yellow curry was creamy and comforting, with a medium spice level. The red curry had a bit more kick but wasn’t too spicy. Both were enjoyable and are comparable to other spots that I have tried

I also had a Thai iced tea. It was sweet and refreshing, though slightly heavier on the sugar than I prefer.

The meal was satisfying and is still a solid spot for a casual Thai meal.

*HAIR IN FOOD!!** Came here for the first time. Anyway, we ordered the drunken noodles, yellow curry and side of white rice. The service was sub par, and then we started eating our food only to find a short piece of black hair with a white tip. Absolutely disgusting. I gave it to the owner and he did not even apologize. Instead, he sent his server to bring us another bowl of white rice, I didn't even ask for another one, especially if it's the same cook, and I am already nauseous from seeing it and knowing I could have ate it too! Poor service. Poor quality. Just garage. And the ambiance, it doesn't exist. Trash everywhere. Dirty floors and dirty bathroom.

Decent Thai food. Good place for casual lunch with work colleagues

I always order takeout and think they’re the best Thai in the Bay Area. Great service! Their Kang clear soup is perfect when you’re sick.

Diner Review №21

Came across this place in Fremont and it reminded me why I love Thai food. Flavours were spot on, and we enjoyed every scrumptious bite of our meal.

We had the golden tofu to start, then the sweet and sour shrimp, vegetarian panang curry, and Sala Thai chicken.

Diner Review №22

Having lunch with my colleagues. I ordered a lunch specials pad thai with chicken and beef. The pad thai sauce is too sweet and made the noodles tasted like dessert. The meat portion was smaller compared to other restaurants. Service was ok, helpful. Food came out a bit slow during rush hour. Place a bit small, which made it loud and cramped.

Diner Review №23

incredible food!!

Diner Review №24

Food was not bad but I have had way better Thai food. Drunken noodles were better than rest of the food, the spring rolls were so bad, probably old. They need to work on their service, they didn’t seem to care if we had issues. Their Thai iced tea was too sweet and when we asked, they said they couldn’t do anything about it, apparently we were supposed to tell them beforehand to not make it sugary, except that they never asked what sugar level we wanted when placing the order. So they completely ignored it and put it on us. On top I had higher expectations from this place because right before going here we went to Santa Cruz location by mistake thinking it was halal and it was such a nice setup and coming here felt like they just put tables and chairs in a place.

Diner Review №25

I’ve been coming here for years since I live in the neighborhood and I must say it’s one of my favorites! I used to love the seafood garlic noodles (must try if you like mung bean thread and garlic) but I went vegan and asked them if they could make that sauce for me but without seafood, and they did. Anyway, great service and food

Diner Review №26

Prices were a tad higher than I had hoped, buy the food was excellent. I took it to go, so atmosphere was back at home 😆

Diner Review №27

After sala thai 2 shut down, it was hard to find great halal spot. Glad they offer halal chicken and beef. The place is small so it does get noisy and loud. It would be nice for them to extend and put the air purifier/ac somewhere else. Maybe add some cabinets or storage shelves to put things away that are in the front. The lady that used to manage 2 is now here so I can say their food got little better in quality. However their roti paratha, is too oily. Not sure if it’s homemade or if they use Malaysian paratha. Something to work on.

Diner Review №29

the food here is so good and the service and friendly staff are amazing. I normally go to the location on Walnut but since they close super early on Mondays we decided to go the the Warm Springs location. great food, super friendly and attentive service. only gave the atmosphere 4 stars cause it's a pretty basic 'looking' restaurant. nothing remotely fancy. but the food is great.

Diner Review №30

Green curry is fabulous. Pad Thai and pad see eiw are a bit sweet and salty. Chicken and beef satay are also pretty good.

Diner Review №31

Today was my first time having lunch here, and I was really impressed! The restaurant has a charming ambiance with elephant wall decor that is typical of Thai restaurants. We were seated right away with no wait time, and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food quality was exceptionally good! We ordered green curry with chicken, stir-fried eggplant with pork, and fried fish with sweet and sour sauce. All the dishes were delicious! We left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back often!

The crab fried rice was really sweet, and so was the sauce of the roti canai. This was the sweetest Thai food I’ve ever had :(

The tables are bit close to other guests, but otherwise the food is amazing.

We went here for halal Thai food and were so impressed. The food was excellent, the portions were huge, and the service was fast and great. One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to.

Diner Review №46

Our go to Thai restaurant is the Warm Springs location at the Galleria. After COVID, the one on Grimmer closed. Similarly, the location in central Fremont also moved. The food remains consistently good. It's easy to spend $100 worth of good food here at Sala Thai. Yellow Chicken curry is yummy. Pad Thai is delicious. Papaya salad is wonderful making you wonder why we don't make it more at home. The soup is a good blend of authentic flavors that you just can't get enough. Sweet & crusty fish is the most popular item in the menu and yes, it's a must to have. Bottomline is, I've eaten at all three locations and food is consistent. All locations are busy so make a reservation to be sure you get seated especially for big groups. I highly recommend Sala Thai for a good meal.

The food is good what I don't understand is why the Red Curry lunch special includes rice if I order and pick it up myself but if I order through Door Dash it doesn't include rice for the same price If I want rice via door dash it's $3.00 more + DD fees = $5.50! The menu items should be served the same way for the same price (before the Door Dash fees) regardless of who is picking it up.

The Fried fish was simply delicious with the sweet garlic sauce, Always a Winner!

Diner Review №74

While the service was great, the food simply was not legitimate. Most food were wayyyyy too sweet, I can't even imagine how much sugar they put in just about every single dish. We ordered the roti, which looked more like a pancake than actual roti. The pad kee mow, while the taste itself is decent, it was again overpowered by the sweetness. Same thing with the 2 curries we got, all too sweet. I'm sure this place is trying to cater to local tastes, but it really is a bit too overboard.

Diner Review №75

Food - 9/10
Ambience- 6/10

Cleanliness - 5/10
Price food worth- 6/10

As mentioned above Food taste was great. Ambience is good but its not spacious. Servers weren't good at all they seemed very uninterested. The cleanliness was okish. I would say its pricey.
We were 5 people and bill came upto 126$
They took 18$ as gratuity automatically in the bill which I felt weird hence I didn't tip at all.

I do not recommend it. I have eaten this type of food many times in different places around the world. but this was the worst ever. super sweet everything home dish home thing was extremely sweet. very bad attention. I let them know cordially with the intention of being heard and that their recipe would be better, but their attitude was... you talked to a wall. I do not recommend it. Apart from that it is dirty and smells bad.

Best option for halal in my opinion in the Bay Area. The food quality is good& tastes better than other Halal Thai options we got. Price is comparatively alright. It is a good spot for me for Thai food. Interestingly they can make Thai dishes out of the menu if you ask them.

Thai food enthusiasts, rejoice! This restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise. The ambiance here is a harmonious blend of Thai tradition and modern comfort. The dimly lit interior, adorned with Thai artifacts, creates an intimate and inviting atmosphere. Service was impeccable. The staff's warmth and knowledge about the menu made us feel like valued guests. And then there's the food - an absolute triumph. The Green Curry had the perfect balance of heat and flavor, and the Som Tum salad was refreshingly spicy. Don't forget to try the Mango with Sticky Rice for a sweet finish that lingers. In summary, this Thai restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic culinary journey. It's a treat for all the senses!

Diner Review №106

The chicken wings in sweet Garlic sauce were awful... they were straight out of the freezer, hot on the outside, cold in the inside. When I questioned the freshness, they said that's how they are, precooked. Gross, don't order these. Everything else is excellent.

I have ordered here before couple of times but never had issues but today my order had lots of insects specially ants. I had to throw my whole order. This is not hygienic at all. The soup and noodles both had it so they are not maintaining hygiene in the whole kitchen. I am so disappointed and would never order again from here!!

Sala Thai helped make our graduation party with 40 attendees perfection by providing a wonderful array of perfectly prepared traditional Thai dishes, curries, sides, and desserts. They had everything ready exactly on time, so the yummy, healthful food was as much a focus of attn as the graduate himself. Highly recommend Sala as a way to send party attendees away satisfied and well fed!

This place is a gem. Unassuming but the food is delicious! We had fried rice, red curry and the crispy fish - I can recommend them all.

Diner Review №121

Decent food. Small inside dining area with mostly take out orders. They have Thai Iced Tea without boba. Some of the curry lunch specials aren't any cheaper than the regular price

Diner Review №122

Diner Review №125

Easily bottom of the 30+ Thai restaurants in Cal and Nevada we've eaten. (We have a goal of eating at a Thai restaurant at every city we visited)

The blandness (with the surprised cury) of pineapple fried rice was only outdone by the soggy pad sew ew. These dishes were almost not passable in a hot and humid atmosphere. I won't comment too much of the service given the other reviews. I can only concur the insulting attitude and the fact that they got my simple order wrong.

I'm rather surprised by my experience given all there other wonderful reviews given previously. Not sure what has changed.

Diner Review №126

Look here manye….i consider myself of somewhat of a fried food connoisseur. I don’t leave reviews. I just get my food and get out the way but this Fried Garlic Fish my GOD! There’s this kind of sweet garlic sesame seed sauce they pair with it. I’ve never tasted such a superb combination. I’m a big guy that loves to eat. 230lbs. Just the order of fish alone was enough to fill me up. I also had the red curry with sticky rice. Overrall 9/10 on the Garlic Fried Fish and 7.5/10 with the Red curry and Sticky rice.

Diner Review №156

Este lugar es muy frecuentado debe estar muy buena la comida

Diner Review №157

Food was excellent. Portions were small for the price. Flavor was excellent.

Diner Review №158

Place doesn't seem to have the same glory that they once had pre-pandemic

Diner Review №159

The food was generally tasty and well-made. I especially enjoyed the crispy fish with garlic sauce because of its subtle savory, soft texture that paired well with its crispy exterior. The garlic sauce deepened and enriched the textures and flavors of the crispy fish well. The Thai iced tea was also nicely flavored, with a deep, earthy tea base mixed with the sweet milk and ice that made for a delightful, refreshing drink. The red curry was also good, and I generally enjoyed trying the combination of vegetables and meat steeped with the mild red curry. I also tried the Pad Eggplant, but unfortunately, I found it a little too salty for my liking. The restaurant was a little small, but the friendly and professional service from the staff gave the restaurant more merit.

Nothing to not like. Placed online order on Yelp. I had special instructions and they were followed to the T. The Pad See Ew was flavorful. The amount of chicken was very good. I thought there could have been more egg in it. The order was ready for pick up before the 40-60 mins scheduled pickup time (which I thought was pretty high to begin with), so that was good too! Pretty pricey $20 (inc tax and tip) for 1 dish and the total quantity wasn't a lot either.

Well this is my last time coming here , after an awful experience with the woman who takes the phone orders the time is 2:45 p.m. and it's April 18 2022. I placed a small order soup and shrimp pad Thai. I explicitly asked that the food be medium spiced which it was not. The dish was tasteless , tons of noodles no sauce , over cooked shrimp. The dish lacked flavor and depth, clearly rushed. As a chef and business owner of a restaurant I know first hand "things happen" a person can have an off day and their dish can show it. I simply called to let them know I wasn't happy with the dish and with that what type of accommodation would be allowed. I asked if the pad Thai could be remade as it wasn't anything like I expected, mind you I have ordered food from this restaurant numerous times which my family and I have enjoyed numerous times and quite frankly I was surprised that the dish wasn't good at all on any level. To the woman taking the phone orders and handling complaints you need a refresher course in customer service. Lady when someone is telling you something is wrong with the food that was ordered you don't take offense and tell the customer sorry nothing can be done. Further suggesting that the pad Thai I received was perfectly fine. Unless you ate some of my food before sending it how would you know if it was fine? Never the less you would rather lose a local customer, that has enjoyed your food in the pass over a dish that cost you a few dollars to make. Smdh, you my dear lack professionalism and are bad for business. I am more than certain the owners of this establishment would not be in agreement with your behavior. You are the reason I will never revisit again. Shame on you!

Diner Review №197

Really good food, always a delight. Prices have been creeping a bit up, so giving it 4 stars now. Food is excellent, but the ambience and location mean its not really a "destination" place to go spend an evening, more of a take out place.
