Best thai Hands Down! The food was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the chicken satay, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We also decided to try the shrimp tom kha , which was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. It was extremely amazing! The portions from the pad thai and pineapple fried rice were generous, and every bite was a delight. Let's not forget that thai tea... OMG, which was the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant was charming, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that made for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. The attention to detail in both the food and the service truly set this restaurant apart. I live 2 Hrs away, but it's definitely my go-to spot now every time I am in town.
I highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I can’t wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings!
I’m not sure why Google says they are closed (it’s 3:00 pm now) because we just ate there and the Pad Thai with shrimp is delicious. Steve had spicy shrimp fried rice and we split green chicken curry. I also had a Thai iced tea. It’s nearby to us so we come often. Here are todays photos
My husband and I along with our adult son’s were recently in Bakersfield for the birth of the first grandchild. After being at the hospital all day, we were in need of a great place to eat.
We found Bangkok Street Food on Google and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was inviting and very lively during dinner. There wasn’t an empty seat in the restaurant.
The drinks were delicious and delivered in a timely manner. The food was well seasoned and plated to perfection. The portions were good sizes. We ordered family style as a party of six people. I highly recommend dining here if you love Thai cuisine and ever find yourself in Bakersfield, CA.
Oh by the way, if you stop by tell them Janice sent you and Bon Appetite!
I didn’t know what to expect when I approached the storefront. I honestly thought I was walking into a fast food style place. But after walking inside I realized it was as a sit down/take out type of restaurant. I approached the young lady at the order counter and asked if they did take out as I didn’t have time to sit down.
The young lady said they did and handed me a lunch special menu. It was a minimal list of options but that wasn’t a bad thing in my opinion, as it was concise and offered some good sounding options. I ordered the Spicy Basil over Rice with the chicken option. The young lady at the counter told me it would be about 10 minutes until my order was ready. I sat down and started watching something on my phone. I would say my food was ready 7 or 8 minutes later.
When I finally sat down to eat it at my workplace I opened up the container and was pleasantly surprised at the appearance of the food. As I dug in to eat the flavors were really bright and bold. I really liked it and I will be returning. Next time I may dine in.
I picked an order of Drunken Noodles and it was fantastic! Highly recommended!
Best Thai food that I've had in Bakersfield. Everything was flavorfull and well priced. I'll be back🕊
The food is always good very consistent, best Thai food in Bakersfield! Their Beef Pad Thai is my favorite, the staff is very friendly too :)
Bangkok shrimp is my go to! Amazing food highly recommend
The drunken noodles were 😋💣
Great food. Great service. What more could you want.

Good food but a little too salty for me.
Tom kha soup with tofu delish
Salt and pepper shrimp. Big portions of freshly l) could
No one should leave without chicken sate
Good food . Experience is definitely elevated by excellent customer service. The waitress was very attentive and sensitive to our dietary needs . The kitchen staff and owners were very accommodating. We had fried rice 9/10.
Cheese wontons 10/10 .We had coffee boba with toppings of lychee which I would highly recommend. The mango sticky rice looked very tempting but we were full so we couldn't try that . We will definitely stop by next time in Bakersfield area.
Best Thai food in Bakersf….no…I’m from LA and this is my favorite Thai restaurant!
Rare delicacies such as Esan (Issan) sausage so well executed, thai pork jerky so crispy and juicy, som tam (papaya salad) with option to add marinated baby crab… all so good that I had to order some to go for my wife.
Only a few minutes off my route to/from Kernville for fishing, there’s just no way for me to pass it up.
Thank you for kicking off Bakersfield’s era as foodie central
We needed an allergy accommodation, and not only did they cater to it, but they were delightfully friendly and thorough the whole time. A great experience with great food.

Kai kua (not on the menu) is delicious. The satay incredible. The peanut sauce.... Incredible. They have satay salad..... Incredible. The cucumber salad.... Was amazing. I'm from out of town and have had lots of thai food over 30 years and I cook thai food. What I had was top notch. I went back and salt and pepper squid is incredible also. I haven't had a bad dish here.
Brendan made me the Pad Se Ew extra spicy, and I taste the sweet savory flavor of the sauce as it got pan fried to perfection. No burnt noodles, or gritty texture from overcook. Very delicious I want to come back, and have him make me same dish again same exact way take the 5 star review you're a good man.
Have only gone once but staff was nice and food has me wanting coming back, excited to explore the menu! It’s legit Thai food!! ESPECIALLY for Bakersfield.
Food is delicious. It is a hidden gem. I haven’t really had anything that hasn’t been good here.
My husband and I went to eat here today, we were seated and waiting to get our drink order in. The lady looked very busy so we didn't mind waiting 10+ minutes. Another table that got there after us was also waiting. Another customer came in, was seated and immediately got their drink order and food order in. We were very confused by this. Waitress then walked over to us and the other table and said who was next. We decided to not order and leave.
Best Thai food since visiting Thailand! Very authentic. Fresh, appetizing and well packaged, for a takeaway. Very friendly staff. Ordering online was really easy and broke items down well.
A coworker suggested this place and I’m glad I went. The food is just amazing and staff is friendly and very accommodating!

My wife and I ordered two different fried rice dishes. I ordered the spicy fried rice with chicken and my wife ordered the pineapple fried rice. Everything was fresh and hot. It came out pretty quickly. The food was flavorful. The portions were large. We enjoyed the leftovers for lunch the next day.
My go to Thai place!
Food is great
Service fantastic
Environment excellent
Excellent food and service!
the best thai food I had in SoCal, everything is fresh and taste authentic, the yellow curry is a bomb, must try
Favorite Thai restaurant in Bakersfield. It’s a casual dining experience tucked away in a strip mall, but the best Thai food (and the best price) of any in Bakersfield. I’ve modified orders and they have not once messed up an order in 20+ orders.
The Pad Thai here is one of the best I’ve ever had! Definitely recommend it to everyone!
Had tofu pad see ew, tofu spicy egg plant, vegetable tom yum, tofu drunken noodles, egg rolls and thai tea. My favorite dish was the eggplant.

Literally the best Thai food in Bakersfield. this is coming from someone that grew up ina. City that has an abundance of authentic Thai food.
Maybe we ordered the wrong dish. Only had the spicy basil beef over rice. The beef was chemically tenderized into something that didn't quite taste like beef but a chewy meat with a chemical taste to it, possibly too much baking soda. A far cry from the street food in Thailand such as krapow.
Service was fast. The atmosphere was casual.
This place has great Thai food, I would suggest it, very friendly and fresh. My go to spot when im in the mood
First time ..coming here..Like it !
Amazing restaurant. We have been here once last year during our road trip and had fried rice to-go and sticky rice with mango and some other appetizers. We came back again this time and the food are still great. The owner is also vert friendly.
Great food, made fresh and tasty!! Top tier Thai!!
The food was delicious and the service was great will definitely return to try different dishes
Great Thai food! One of the best in Bakersfield!
If you haven’t tried this place please please go eat here I’ve been getting Tom yum soup from them for over two years now and it’s the most delicious not to mention i love the spice levels and how no matter what level you choose there’s still so much richness and flavor to the broth. Also very good price wise and you don’t have to sacrifice the quality of food for it at all. I also recommend trying the other food items they have their curries and especially sticky rice is soo delicious again if you haven’t eaten here yet PLEASE DO🤤
We loved it here! The staff was so kind, the place was clean and the food was delicious.
Best boat noodle I’ve ever tried, reminds me of noodles I had in Bangkok
Best food and fresh 🥰 noodles extra spicy! Had to eat it with rice 🔥
Great food! Ordered Spicy Drunken Noodles and Spicy Yellow Curry, but my food wasn't Spicy in the slightest.
Along with this, also ordered a Thai Tea Boba, quite honestly some of the best I've had!
Upon walking in ambience is nice, greeted right away, seated and given menus. Food came out quickly and efficiently! Our waitress answered our questions and had a toddler friendly option. We ordered drunken noodles, spring rolls, and pad Thai. Everything literally was delicious. I have 0 complaints about this place.
I truly enjoy their yellow curry chicken dish
This is my favorite spot. Everything is amazing from the customer service, food, and atmosphere. :)
First time trying it food was awesome and reasonably priced
Authentic Thai food, that I can vouch for as a half Thai. Tastes just like my mom made it. Service was excellent!!!! Everytime my water was empty it was only empty for 30 seconds and the server came and filled it up. I wat eating som tam (papaya salad) so my water was gone fast! Our food came very quick like 15 minutes max I believe.
Holy YUM!! We tried this place and the food is amazing. But the sweet woman serving and taking money and doing everything else was a complete doll. We will surely be back and we wish this couple every success!
Quick and correct. They could improve the consistency of their spice level. Two items ordered with the same spice level had different end products.
This time the spice level was better. More consistent across dishes. The owner can be a little more friendly, too stressed and scolding employees.
It was my first time eating here and I was amazed on how well the food tasted! There ice tea was delicious too. Shout out to the cooks and the 1 server who greeted people, led them to their table with menus, took there orders, delivered there orders, billed the order and cleaned up. She was very busy and with all that happening, she still had a pleasant attitude!
Incredible food, great crew! Tried the classic Pad Thai, amazing! Tried the pink Thai drink, again awesome. We will be back!- this review I did in 2021
Now in 2023- still a loyal customer. Amazing food, amazing service always. The best Thai place in town in my opinion. Can never go wrong with lunch or dinner here. Thank you for being kind to all of your customers and providing excellent service. 💛
Their drinks are great, and good service. Would 10/10 recommend their Salt & Pepper shrimp; by far one of the best things I've had!
They have the best value for Thai food in town, as they are reasonably priced and the quality of food is great. The service is also very fast and friendly. All around great restaurant.
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. My go to is the drunken noodles with tofu and the green curry with tofu. They are delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant is kept clean.
Quality, healthy cuisine. Clean store. Sophisticated staff and clientele. We enjoy the steamed tofu veggie soup and egg rolls.
If we were passing through Bakersfield again I’d definitely want to come back. Sad that the 2 of us couldn’t order more dishes.
Small space, but wonderfully prompt and efficient host/ server.
The squid laarb was so perfect, limy and spicy and aromatic; the cooked squid had the perfect bounce and bite.
Eggplant with crisp, golden tofu and sautéed veggies rounded out our meal; these two were also perfectly done, the eggplant meltingly silky but with its shape/ form; sauce pleasantly sweet without being cloying. Sautéed veggies had Nameko (beech) mushrooms and were so comforting after a month of food on the road.
squid larb salad, and the noodle soups are very delicious. Will definitely come back again.
Normally, I like to cook at home, but was not feeling up to doing it this evening as I was tired. Ordered some Tom Kha soup along with some fried rice. Fried rice was good for takeout fried rice, but had some issue with the soup. It’s edible but out of balance with a slight strong fish sauce taste to it. Also, they left whole leaves of basil, as well as inch long shards of lemongrass, and galangal which are fibrous and difficult to eat. These are normally taken out at the end of the cooking prior to presenting, but they chose to leave them all in. No one wants to have to spit out food into their hand because it’s not edible. Also, I asked for spicy and I couldn’t taste any heat at all in my soup. Maybe I’m too tolerant, and their idea of spice is different from mine. Other than being a little sweet for my taste, which I also find often in their pad Thai. It was an acceptable soup minus the bits that should’ve been taken out.
Some the best n authentic Thai you can get. My go to for Thai
Great little Thai place, curry could be a little better but I guess those aren't really their main dishes.
Excellent food with a sit down experience. Take out seems to be this places bread and butter. Wait staff is always pleasant. Great experience
Best Thai food in town.
Don't get me wrong the food was good the ladies were very friendly but it is very small so many customers were getting turned down due to there not being any spots to sit. I made a large order amd some of my order wasn't entered in the pos so I never got the food.
Doordash delivered. Love this plate. Also got veggie egg rolls.
For $13, thier Pad see ew or Pad Thai is one of the best in the west side of Bakersfield
I always get there Yellow Curry because it's so delicious, plus they have the best workers on the planet
Only go to two Thai restaurants in Bakersfield, and this is one of them. Love their food, and their yellow curry is best in town. It's filled with chicken and have to ask them to go light on the chicken, not that it's not good, I just want more of the yellow curry, so good😊
Amazing food
Delicious food and great service!
Food was good, service was a little slow, and the food portions were on a bit smaller side. The waitress forgot a couple of things we requested, but that's not entirely her fault as she was the only person in the hall serving multiple tables. We usually go to Thai House which in my opinion is the best in town. But this place isn't bad at all. I'd probably try them again in the future.
#1 Thai food restaurant to go eat at.
There’s a reason this restaurant was in the newspaper.
Every time my wife and I go here, we leave with our stomachs happy.
The flavors of the dishes make us salivate just sitting there. We get the same Tom Yum seafood hot pot and it’s delicious. Every. Single. Time.
There’s never been a disappointment in this place. My fiancé and I will forever go here and bring our kids, and our kids will bring their kids.
10/10. 5 stars.
My wife and I had a terrible experience here. We ordered food and waited for its arrival. While waiting; 2 other couples had arrived and seated. Still waiting for our food, we noticed that other people’s food had arrived before ours. We asked our waitress what was going on! She said that the ticket for the order was lost inside the kitchen. What really happen was she forgot to turn in the ticket to the cook. We had been waiting over 35 minutes already. She should have been honest about her mistake. She didn’t offer an Apology or a Free appetizer! She said the food would be out in about 5 minutes. We waited an additional 10 minutes. No food! We walked out! We will never return!
Great tasting food. The order was ready quickly even though the place was crowded.
Flavor was amazing
Amazing food, and service
Come here often, and the food is ALWAYS very good, fresh and consistent .
Ordered take out for first time, the pad thai was good, adequate. Spring rolls, i ejoyed, others didn't.
But the beef pad see ew was kinda foul. Not sure if it was cooked in a pan that had just been used for some kind of fish, but would get some bites with strong fish taste. Now i like fish, but not the tadte in something i didn't order it in. And it was not a good kind of fish taste.
Ordered 2 orders, had to throw the second one out
Food is bomb, ordered 6 different dishes already and they are all packed with flavor, really hard to describe how good it is , totally recommend
One of the nice Thai food place
Was craving Tom yum soup and saw the reviews so we decided to try it. Together we rate this place a 4.5 overall. The chicken saytay was delicious and the sauce was excellent despite the negative reviews I saw. Loved the atmosphere. Disappointed on the Tom yum but had not only high expectations but a high bar due to my love of thia kitchens Tom yum. Will return to try it veggie style as well as the duck. The gf loved the banana puff and we both enjoyed our smoothies!
Amazing and authentic food with incredible service. Yellow curry with pork is pristine
Nice vibez food is amazing 👏🏾 😋 👌🏾
We drove through Bakersfield and on a whim decided to try this establishment and we had no regrets. We were sat fast, the service was incredible, and wow the food was A+ delicious. No notes, five stars, full stop. 🤩
I wandered in here for lunch on Monday, and ended up coming back two more times this week. Perhaps the best Thai in Bakersfield. The lunch menu is a great deal. And they have some of the best Drunken Noodles I've ever had (and I've tried them at resteraunts accross the country).
The best Asian food in town in my opinion!! Prices are fair..food is fantastic and bobas are 🔥 especially the Chai tea (Orange one).
Was passing through the area! I eat Thai food quite often and this spot blew my mind on how good it was! We got the spicy fried rice and green curry both vegetarian!
Amazing food. Everything was so delicious and the service was great.
Great food, the workers are incredibly nice and I would definitely come back again would recommend
Best Thai food in Bakersfield. Pad Thai, larb, drunken noodles, som tam (papaya salad) are ALWAYS on point- and they actually make it as spicy as you request 😋
Amazing service and delicious food. Definitely recommend
Holy moley, this place was amazing. We were driving from death valley to yosemite and wanted something yummy but close to the highway. I AM SO GLAD THAT WE FOUND THIS PLACE. The flavors were amazing. We had the pork jerky and the tamarind sauce was to die-for.
Also had the pad mee and Bangkok pad thai. Great portions and flawless flavor.
I wish we lived in the area just to eat here.
GO AND TRY IT!
Amazing, authentic food. Phenomenal customer service. Great prices, especially for Thai food. Adorable little hole in the wall! I have eaten here many times and tried many different dishes and teas, I have yet to be dissatisfied.
Delicious food, friendly service, reasonable prices, what more can one ask for these days.
Amazing lunch! Great service, lovely and well kept location. Food was delicious! The Larb was on point.
The ladies here are very friendly and will happily offer information about their menu items to help you choose the meal you want. The food is cooked fresh, so there is a little wait. But it is worth the wait. Their restaurant has a cool atmosphere. The food is great! The veggie egg rolls are served with sweet and sour sauce that is delicious, and the yellow curry is very good. Tasty but not overwhelming. I do recommend stopping by to give them a try.
Great service. Food hits the spot.
The restaurant has a very calming zen to it , the waitress was very quick and attentive, the food was amazing with a burst of flavor in every spoonful 😋 highly recommended 😀
Finally starting to turn to fall and comfort food time and just did not feel like making dinner. Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food here. The chicken satay had the right amount and char and the rich peanut sauce was balanced with the pickled vegetables. The papaya salad was refreshing with the right amount of heat (ordered medium). Same with the drunken noodles with beef really enjoyed the texture of the noodles with the perfect amount of heat. Will definitely come back.
My family was reminded of our many trips to Thailand where you will find similarly stylish eateries serving quality and tasty food! Delicious!
I am addicted to this restaurant! Both the food and drinks are amazing. I recommend this place to everyone that I can. The staff is always really nice and the service is great. I love that they bring cups and carafe of ice cold water to the table for you to enjoy without even having to ask. One of my favorite places to eat!
Wonderful food and service
Excellent portions, well prepared and carefully packaged. Something that isn’t mentioned often! I had ordered the golden tofu to go, and they put little openings in the lid to let the steam out so it wouldn’t get soggy. Details like that, clearly say they really care about the quality and experience of their food.
Good size portion. Love the Pad Thai Royal with glass noodles. I do not like the salad added in same container so I say no salad or put it on the side.
Super great food and service! They were fairly busy for such a small place. The waitress was prompt and attentive. She took care of us, along with doing pick up orders etc. The food was all fresh and hot. The pad thai was my favorite.
Tried this place based on good ratings. I had padthai. Not that great. Tasted like older oil was used. Not much chicken. Charged me extra for a small peanut sauce. Watery bland sauce. Don’t think I will be back
Will def. go again. Appetizers, we got the Chicken Satay (perfectly cooked, seasoned just right, and sauces on the side were flavorful), I got the Shrimp Soup with Vermicelli (for me, added Hoisen, Chili Sauce, & lime). All was washed down with their Tai Tea w/boba. My man got the Chicken Green Curry (spicy but an explosion of flavor).
I ORDERED. 38.TOMYUM NLD PHO NDL SPICY VERY DELICIOUS
MY WIFE ORDERED VEGGIE BOWL PHO NDL
AS WELL VERY DELICIOUS
GOOD FOOD GREAT PRICE $
Always great food!
Foods great, try the drunken noodles
Food was great!
Definitely the best Thai food in town!
Horrible quality. Lack of flavor everything was watered down (sauces). Also everything tasted like fish. I mean everything.
Best Thai food in Bakersfield
We have no idea why this place is not overly crowded. It's really hard to find authentic and good tasting Asian food in a small City like bakersfield. But alas we have found it! The Thai food restaurant is a place to make a destination on your travels or if you're a local you should certainly take time to come here yourself. You have not ever experienced spice until you have tried any of their spicy food. For a spice lover my spouse had the medium and was about in tears! We love to the vibe that the restaurant itself procured from the declarations and the music going on in the background. Once again very surprised that we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. They had quite a few takeout orders coming in. Our service was actually very quick, he believed this is because they put their sit down customers above takeout customers. This is something to value in today's restaurant industry. We hate it when we have to go into a restaurant and sit there for 2 hours when the takeout would have only taken 15 minutes. The service was above par with the friendly staff who was not overbearing.
I ordered mango sticky rice, unfortunately I found two hairs in the middle of my rice. I’m very disappointed and they really had great star ratings but won’t be ordering food here again
The food is delicious, pineapple fried rice is soooooooo yummy
Great location to sit down and eat. Healthy food portions, friendly staff, overall i would recommend a visit.
Have been going for years and plan to continue for years to come! Pineapple rice is the best in town
Good food.
Their food reminds me of my home
We recently came here for the first time. As a family of 4 that all eat differently, there were delicious options for all of us. My vegan husband had lots to choose from and really enjoyed the Pho. They have the best fried rice! The seafood Pho was also amazing! I would recommend this place as there is something for everyone and the food and service is quick and awesome!
Very good Pad Thai and Panag. They also happen to be a few doors down from my favorite smoke shop. So yea… place is awesome inside and out.
The best Thai in Bakersfield. Real Thai food not chinese.
Food 5/5
Price 5/5
Seating 3/5
Parking 5/5
I tried 5 different menu and they were all great.
Seating is enough but a little tight and some table is too close to restroom. Parking is plenty.
Tum-yang-kai 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Drunken noodles!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
