Jai Thai is a full service Thai Restaurant. Our recipes are strongly influenced by the cooking in Central Thailand, Bangkok and Ratchaburi.
Beware: The "boba" is more like grass-jelly than the round balls. And at $9.50, its sometime we'll not order again here.
However, I think their pad-see-ew is fantastic! The chicken in it was so tender and moist. And at a lunch deal price point of $13.99, it's affordable. The soup that came with was noticable salty, but the egg roll was nice and crispy.
90% of the dining rooms were empty at 1pm on a Friday, which is a travesty. This place deserves more business. Tell a friend
**Restaurant Review: A Hidden Gem for Thai Cuisine**
I recently visited a local Thai restaurant that piqued my interest due to its positive ratings and independent ownership. Upon arrival, I found the space surprisingly spacious, reminiscent of an old office, which gave the ambiance a unique twist—albeit a bit unconventional.
The service was impressive; attentive staff ensured our needs were met, and our food arrived swiftly. We started with a few appetizers: the fried spring rolls and cream cheese wontons were delightful, offering a satisfying crunch and rich flavor. However, the fresh spring rolls left something to be desired—smaller than expected, they could have benefitted from more shrimp.
For the main course, I opted for the duck curry, which was nothing short of fantastic. While I wished for a slightly thicker consistency, the flavors were vibrant and well-balanced, making it a highlight of the meal.
Overall, while this may not be the best Thai restaurant I’ve experienced, it certainly holds its own. I left feeling highly satisfied and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid Thai dining experience.
[Edit] Since I cannot respond back to this review I'm editing it instead. The image shows that the food contains eggs and yet the restaurant responded to me in a nasty way instead of accepting their mistake. Also, I did call back but your restaurant was closed. I went ahead and added this comment since we immediately got sick after eating the pad thai and 2 of us threw up. I wish your restaurant had some empathy towards their customers. But if this is how you choose to respond and handle the situation, that's up to you! :)
I called Jai Thai to place a pick up order for vegetarian food. The Thai curries were really nice but Inspite of asking them multiple times, on the phone, to make the food vegetarian without eggs, meat, oyster sauce or fish sauce, I received the pad Thai noodles with all of it. I asked them to accommodate my dietary restrictions and repeated the restrictions for every item but they still gave me the noodles with eggs, oyster sauce and fish sauce. I had to throw it straight into the trash but ended up paying around $15 for it anyway. Extremely upset about this. The one star is only because of this. Apart from that the Thai curries were good.
I enjoyed my experience here. I came around 4 pm on a Tuesday and the food was delicious and service was fast. My server was prompt and answered any questions I had. I ordered the yellow chicken curry with white rice and it was very good. I would highly recommend. I also got the Thai tea with boba and it was also good. Definitely check this place out next time you’re wanting Thai food!
Former Line Thai restaurant and King Redfish place. New Thai owners very friendly with great service. Had Pad Thai hot. Very good fish. Friends had Cashew Chicken and vegetables and seafood. Both said very good dishes.
Looking forward to returning to try the Thai Curries. They applied for a liquor license and that is still in process.
Highly recommended this establishment
I just left your restaurant and you didn't notice us then either. Sat down and waited. No menus brought to us. The person that sat us down went to fold napkins. Wait staff went to another table that was just seated, completely ignoring us. Poor customer service to say the least.
The place was very colorful and pleasant to the eye. We ordered chow mein rice noodles and 2 egg rolls. Very tasty, hit the spot in the cool weather we are experiencing in Phoenix. We will return.
Very good food

Sweet and sour chicken, 2 orders to go only got 1 order. The sweet and sour chicken was possibly the worse tasting sweet and sour chicken ever. I am serious. Big mistake 1st and last time
I have eaten Thai all over the world. Best Thai any where Ive been.
Biggest 5 star I want to give is to our server "Angelica". Super sweetheart. Effecient. Fast.
Noodles , curry was good 👍, soup was delicious. We all had a variety of appetizer were delicious. House chowmain

Good food, good service. I'll be going back again.
Well prepared, great staff, and awesome food.
Highly recommended!
Great waitress, excellent curry and mango sticky rice for desert.

This is the best Thai restaurant in Surprise, AZ. Huge menu of wonderful food. Presentation is top notch, service excellent. Return often.
We got it to go but the food was super good! Definitely be back!
Very kind and friendly service. They cater to your preferences. Love it here!
We stopped here as they were a generous sponsor of the US Open lawn bowls. Very pleased with the food in the service. We went back. The atmosphere is nothing to write on about
I ordered chicken pad, Thai chicken, satay, and mango and sticky rice…. Half of the chunks of mango were rotten. There was a liquid like water in the bottom of the container of the mango and sticky rice and in the bottom of the container of the chicken pad Thai… When I called to speak to management to make them aware, I got someone who could barely speak English and didn’t understand what I was trying to tell them so I left my number and information for them to call me so that I could make them aware of this, and I haven’t heard anything back from …… The food there has been pretty good in the past…,, This is the first time that it’s been this bad….. serving rotten fruit is unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable… I won’t be returning….. do yourself a favor check your food before you leave the restaurant. I checked my food before I left the restaurant. I would’ve refused it. Oh well. Lesson
First time having an early dinner @ Jai Thai. The seafood pad Thai was so delicious. I wanted to keep eating it. I'm trying to diet, so I brought half home. Some of the tastiest leftovers. We will be back.

Food is excellent.
Our first time having thai food within the Sun City area . A nice couple shared one of their Coupon with us, which made it even delicious, lol.
Overall, the food was hot and really flavorful, and the service was fast and friendly .
Thank you
I wish I could give the food a four and a half. They have fresh tomatoes in with my fried rice and certain meals there that I think shouldn't be there and it makes it taste odd. But other than that the food is absolutely amazing and the pricing is fabulous. Service is really good they keep up on things and drinks and stuff like that and the atmosphere is great but just reminds me of an old breakfast joint because everything is orange and yellow. But if you're looking for a good meal at a good price they're definitely there for that! Really great food priced really well.
Quick service & great food family atmosphere
Food was outstanding, service was very good, only give it four stars because they don’t really give you much rice with your meal. I got two entrées to go and they gave me maybe a half a serving of rice. But everything else was perfect. I will probably try them again. But I will definitely make sure they give me rice with my meal.
Sweet people and excellent Tai food! My wife ordered mild and it was pretty mild. I ordered medium and it was plenty hot. The flavors are awesome. Excellent tea! We had fried banana with ice cream for dessert.
The service was extremely slow even though we were the only one in the restaurant. The foods were terrible: the drunken noodles was soggy, the seafood salad had too much vinegar, the massanam curry has only two pieces of potatoes, and the pork belly w green beans was salty. Definitely not coming back.
We are always looking for good Tia Food and this place doesn't disappoint. if you are bent on having fancy dining, they may not be your first choice but for us, when it comes to Tia food, we are more about the quality of the food than the atmosphere. Jia Tia's staff is very nice but seemed to take their time before coming to take our drink order. At the risk of being too critical, it was during the early days of them opening and it will not impact our decision to return.
I highly recommend this restaurant 👌. The food we ordered was amazing 😋🙌. I would say it is the best in Sun City West!! We would definitely come back 🫶.
Terrific authentic Thai food at a reasonable price. Extremely friendly staff with a good variety of options.
Went here with a friend on a Saturday, yesterday around lunch for the first time. There was no wait, it is a large place, The service was fast and friendly. My friend ordered the Papaya salad and ordered the Green Curry and Mango sweet rice verything was delicious 😋 I will return to try something else 😋
Food was 4 out 5. I got Chicken Fried Rice to go. The only major complaint is that it's $19 for Chicken Fried Rice. I usually go to Thai Rama and I guess I'm accustomed to the $13 price. Really nice inside though just think $19 for an average sized fried rice is a lot.
The server was very attentive, and the food was delicious
My friend invited me for dinner and it was amazing
Oui. Who Is the professional Thai Cooking I follow her since 4-5 years at restaurant in Phoenix now she's owned restaurant at west Bell Rd, I can't wait to stop get Dinner. it's Best test again welcome every one .trust me wow. Amazing 🤩
Very disappointed nothing like Line Thai previous owner! We wasted $60 for lunch on 2 dishes and 2 Boba Drinks! Sweet and Sour Chicken was watering sauce and chicken was horrible rubbery! Noodles over cooked and must of been a few days old!
What a beautiful restaurant, with friendly staff whom delivered excellent service and delicious, authentic Thai food. Had roast duck curry, Suki Yaki, 3 flavored whole fish with sweet & sour chili sauce, mango and sticky rice & Thai tea with boba - all very delicious. Will definitely come back and recommend that you all come dine here.
I’ve been her several times now, and eaten different dishes, all have been excellent! Clean as can be, super friendly and well worth the visit! You don’t want to miss it!
This place is amazing. We were helped by a very sweet young lady, Angelica, and service was top notch only to be matched by the food!. From the appetizers to the desserts, we enjoyed every single bite. We were so impressed that we wanted to meet the co-owner and chef, Mr Carlos. He is a very kind man and we will be back for sure!! This place is a very special gem hidden in Sun City. MUST TRY!!!!!!!
Best Thai food in town!
Service level EXCELLENT!
Food cooked to PERFECTION!
Best Happy Hour Discounts!
Quiet and Relaxing!
Overall GREAT Experience 😀×
I ordered the boat thai noodle soup. Broth and noodles were good but the meatballs were a strange consistency and tasted weird!
Great food and fantastic service. The decor is what the last place had but it doesn't take away from the tasty food.

Food was excellent, and I had the lunch special. Very reasonable!
My first visit to Jai Thai, and it was spectacular! The servers are very attentive and happy, which is a bonus. Everything was clean. The food was all delicious. They serve large portions, and I even tried to eat every single bite, because it was so good. One could tell that this restaurant is very customer oriented. I definitely will be returning, many more times. Thank you, Jai Thai! 5 STARS!
Crab fried rice was excellent will be ordering again.
Best curry I've had in the area by far.
Spacious restaurant, clean, and quiet. I ordered the green curry seafood combo for lunch and it was perfect.
The food is excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Food was very good. Friendly staff
Came here while visiting my parents from out of state and was not disappointed. Both the drunken noodles and panang curry were on point.
Absolutely delicious. Especially loved the Tom Kha soup and the pineapple fried rice.
Fabulous food. Highly recommend this restaurant!
The pad thai, pork satay, ginger and vegetables, and tom yum soup were excellent. We keep asking for Thai BBQ Chicken to be added to their menu. Our service was a10 of 10. We hope they eventually update the decor. They kept the color scheme from the previous Vietnam restaurant.
The food was good however a little pricy!
Very friendly. Love the food and service!
Excellent Thai food! Started out with the veggie fresh rolls which were tightly rolled and flavorful. I had the chicken Pad Thai & loved it. My friend had the Orange tofu & enjoyed it. Both portions were generous and well presented. The service was friendly and efficient. Will be back for sure.
Food was tasty. Hope they make it, and invest in some remodeling. We will be back.
Great customer service, the server who took my order by phone was very friendly and cheerful. When I arrived to pick up my food, I was welcomed with smiles and kindness. I ordered the lunch special chicken pad thai and panang curry along with a Thai tea to go. Food was excellent! Panang curry was flavorful, definite umami. It had the perfect spice, I requested “hot” and it was a really good heat and edible. Pad Thai was delicious! The tamarind paste was on point, authentic and blended to perfection. The bean sprouts were crispy and crushed peanuts were an added touch for more flavor. Egg rolls were so tasty and crispy. I will definitely be back ! The only thing I suggest in the future is that they inform customers that it’s a dollar upgrade to have coconut milk mixed with the Thai tea versus the half and half when they offer the option of half and half or coconut milk. Thank you for a wonderful lunch Jai Thai .
Nice staff, great food.
This is the second time I have been here. This time not so good. First, I ordered a pot of the mixed vegetable soup with chicken. What I got was a bowl with spicy soup and I asked the waiter if this was correct and I was told yes. So I took 2 bites and then saw the shrimp. I have a shrimp allergy and I definitely knew that was wrong. So then she brings me the correct item and I informed her I had a shrimp allergy and all she said was sorry. Now my lips are tingling, my tongue is numb, and my face is swelling up and heading to ER now. Then I ordered a sticky rice with egg custard and what I got was coconut ice cream with sticky rice and Carmel topping. Again, I informed the waitress that this was the wrong item. So what I got was some little egg custard put on a plate. When I asked the waitress where was the sticky rice she said the custard was the sticky rice with egg custard. Will never be back. Your servers should be better educated and trained on food allergies and the severity of them. Food was good, what I could eat of it, but I shouldn't have to pay for an ER trip.
Wonderful Thai food.
Plenty of seating, tables and booths. Ordered green curry with choice of protein. Had seafood, lots of seafood in the curry. The fresh rolls with shrimp very good. Peanut sauce and sweet sauce served with it . Birthday celebrated, our server brought large portion of ice cream for 4 .
Clean bathrooms.
This restaurant is a gem! I’ll definitely be returning. I ordered the red curry with chicken, 5 stars all the way around!
Jai Thai is the best Thai restaurant in the valley!! The food was amazing, from the crispy potstickers appetizer & the creamy Tom Kha coconut soup, to the delicious Shumai dumplings & the savory Thai fried rice with chicken & beef. Everything was so fresh & perfectly prepared!! We had excellent customer service from Angelica & two other friendly women. This place is a gem!!
I had the drunken noodles with pork and egg rolls. Egg rolls were nice and crispy. No soggy cabbage. Veggies were fresh. The noodles were delicious. Loved their peanut sauce.
I like that there is a Thai restaurant back in this location. They’ve only been open a few days at the time of writing this and I believe they are just getting warmed up.
I had the Massaman Curry and my wife got the Phad Thai (sorry for the lack of pictures of food this time). She only gets Phad Thai where ever we go, we’ve been to 14 different Thai places over the years, and she rated it a 7/10 (which is high by comparison to other places) so you won’t be disappointed, she gives the previous Line Thai a 8/10.
It looks like they kept the furniture from the previous crawfish place (I hadn’t gone there so I can’t be 100% certain, but look at the pictures) and I would recommend they cover up or remove the yellow and orange seating because it’s Ronald McDonald appearance takes away from a Thai ambiance.
I do recommend you try this new iteration of a Thai restaurant in the same old place, I don’t think you will be disappointed. I’m looking forward to see how this evolves over time.

A bit hard to find as they still have the signage from the old seafood and pho restaurant up. Lots of open seating at lunch, entry looks a bit like a spa or hotel. Ocean and fish themed decorations, including live fish tank in the bar.
Good quality Thai food for sun city. Affordable lunch special with soup and spring roll. Dinner looks a bit pricey, though.
We ordered pickup. Had Green curry with chicken and Stir fried prawns with curry powder. Both were very tasty. They asked our spice level preference and dishes were spot on. Served with Jasmine rice. Lots of food and great flavor. Will return!
The food was pretty good. The servers were really sweet. We'll definitely be back.
Great food! The best Tom Yum soup we’ve ever had.
