I have not tried every single Thai restaurant in Phoenix area, but I have tried many, and this one is definitely at the top of my list, for two simple reasons: Absolutely fantastic, consistent quality Thai food, and very friendly and hospitable service.

I usually try the Tom Yum or Tom Kha soups to start with, and I am never disappointed. Their Spicy Basil is simply the best! Red curry, panang curry, pad Thai never disappoint either.

Hope this fine establishment stays around for a long long time! Keep up the great work!

Paid $40 without tip for two meals and tea was kind of expensive for lunch. Wish they have lunch menu or lunch special for people can try out.

Very delicious food and great service! Great selections on the menu. Very clean establishment. We got the beef pad Thai. The beef was cut up very nicely in bite size pieces and it wasn't chewy. I hate getting huge chunks of meat and even worse when it's chewy. They brought out 3 containers of different types of Chile, a green, garlic chili, and flakes. I was going to order my food "hot," but she said it was really hot so I got medium. It wasn't hot and I had to keep adding chili 😆 We also ordered the chicken wontons as an appetizer. Those were very good as well. To drink we got Thai tea. Thumbs up all the way around!! The owners were so friendly and their daughter was just adorable. Very well mannered. I would definitely recommend eating here and this is a place I would come back to!

Excellent. First time. Ordered the veggie rolls as an appetizer. Very tasty, homemade, and came out hot. Main course was the Spicy Basil with chicken. Fresh ingredients, generous portion. Extremely flavorful and one of the best Thai dishes I had in the valley. Authentic food at reasonable prices. I will add this place to my regular rotation.

We randomly found the place looking for Thai food and it’s so good that we are visiting it almost every week (i live 10-12 miles from the place). So far tried yellow and red curry, the Thai tea, Pad Thai, and fried rice, above expectations.

Again, must go place if you love Thai or looking to explore something new.

I don't know if they were having an off day or what, but the fried wontons tasted like what im sure cardboard tastes like and the pad thai noodles were extremely overcooked and clumped together. Disappointing to say the least. The pad thai also had no flavor. I won't be back.

This ais a great place! The food was delicious and the staff so nice and caring. I got the massaman curry and my husband got the pad see ew. Bothe very delicious and staff was very accommodating, even asking us if we'd like to adjust the spice level. The thai tea was so good, and big size! Would absolutely return to this gem of a restaurant!

Angel Thai Restaurant is an absolute delight! The food and service were outstanding from start to finish. Yesse looked after us well.

The Yellow Curry with Prawns was perfectly cooked, with prawns that were tender and infused with the rich, flavorful curry. The Masman Chicken was wonderfully spiced. The Panang Fish stood out with its creamy, aromatic sauce that complemented the fish beautifully.

Every dish showcased fresh, vibrant ingredients and authentic flavors. With such excellent food and attentive service, Angel Thai Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving exceptional Thai cuisine!

Having traveled to Thailand I can tell you that this place is as close as it gets.

When you order something spicy, it will be Thai spicy, not American spicy. So keep that in mind. Frankly I love true Thai spice and this place lives up to that.

The curry is fantastic and you won't be disappointed.

I ordered pad see ew with beef to-go. It wasn't bad, but it lacked flavor. The beef just tasted like boiled meat. The potstickers were good. Perhaps I just had bad luck as there are many good reviews. Nevertheless, I was disappointed.

Wow that was good. Taking some extra home with us. Particularly like the quality chicken, lightly seared veggies, and fresh rice. Dessert was tasty too, cooling down my palate.

The red curry sauce with veggies was excellent and my tofu was cooked perfectly. It's a small space so I think I will always get food to go but it's worth the trip. They have a very good menu and I will be going back soon.

We ordered a Mother’s Day meal: Chicken Pad Thai, Green Curry and Chicken Teriyaki. We were so disappointed - no rice with the Green Curry, Pad Thai was dry and tasteless (no peanut sauce or peanuts), and Teriyaki chicken had NO sauce and very little flavour. We have ordered from here many times when they were Sai Bai Fresh - and the food was always A +.

We ordered take out. 2 items with no spice and 2 mild. Out of the 2 mild- one was probably medium and the other was hot to the point I was sitting covered in snot with a giant glass of milk near by. The flavors were decent but I'm not sure if we will return.

This is going to be a little different than my other reviews. It's a little biased because one of my family members works there. That being said I can honestly say Angel Thai Bistro is an amazing place. It's authenticity is as close to eating in Thailand as you can get with a variety of authentic Thai cuisine as you will find anywhere in the valley as well as a few unique inspired dishes as well.
When you can walk in to a place and it's food can make you remember a taste thousands of miles away is something special.
The staff at Angel Thai Bistro is incredible and you will not be disappointed.

Best Pad See Ew I’ve ever had!

I was excited when I saw a 4.8 rated place nearby. The portions were big and service was nice, but not the food quality I hoped for. Curry was watery and pad Thai was dry/not much flavor.

My fiancé and I enjoyed the food and the service! Venue is clean. Only thing I’d suggest is using a thinner and crunchier dough or coating for the fried banana dessert.

Absolutely incredible! The food is so fresh and delicious. We’ve also been blown away by the service every time we have been. Hunter has been our server and he is so friendly and so attentive. Highly recommend dining here if you have not yet!

We traveled for business and wanted to try something new. A friend of mine suggested some Thai food. I looked up restaurants near us and the Angel Thai Bistro showed up, so we decided to try this place out. When we arrived we were greeted by a kind waitress who took good care of us. We ate some fish cakes that were delicious as an appetizer. We then ate Yellow Curry with shrimp and steamed rice. It was the best thing I have had in a long time. For dessert, we had pineapple-infused ice cream with whipped cream and some banana rolls deep-fried with caramel on top. Talk about a way to close out the meal. I would recommend this place to locals or those traveling to this area for business or pleasure.

The best Thai food in Phoenix. And I’m picky! The flavors are spot on! We had the Drunken Noodles and the veggies were the perfect crunchiness yet had absorbed the flavor of the sauce. We had spice level 3 and it was the perfect explosion in my mouth.

We also had the Eggplant stir fry with pork and it has got to be the most delicious dish ever! Definitely a must-try with fresh basil leaves and crunchy bell pepper, the eggplant just melts in your mouth.

First- I wish Google would let me give this restaurant 6 stars instead of 5! Delicious meal. Hot and fresh!!

Second- The owner of the restaurant is an elite gentleman who went above and beyond to make sure my friends and their baby girl (Hi pa)was taken care well. Thank you good sir!!

This has to be some of the best Thai food I have had in Phoenix, in a LONG time.

The best part about this place is that you can choose to order non spicy dishes, and then add the spice yourself. They understand what makes certain dishes spicy, and then provide it on the side.

I would highly suggest their Tom Kha and Pad Thai.

One last thing; their crab puffs are sooooo good!

This was our first time here, and we had an amazing experience! To start we had the Thai Chicken wings that were perfectly crispy on the outside with tasty sauce. My husband has the chicken Pad Thai and it was outstanding. I had the Pad See Ew and after the first couple bites I noticed it was bland. The wait staff came around and remade my dish for me to take home. Excellent customer service. We will be back.

Excellent Thai food, some of the best I’ve had in Phoenix. For whatever reason, this restaurant has the freshest tasting food around. It’s a small family, run spot, the attention to detail, and quality certainly shows. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth the money!

10/10 - I’ve been looking for a Thai place that will make a super spicy curry for a white boy like me. The Massaman curry, DOUBLE Thai hot is utterly fantastic. My family and I loved everything we got. I had the green curry spice level 3 and it was perfect. Very flavorful. My wife ordered Tom Yum Soup and she loved it. My son ordered beef noodle soup and loved it. We also shared the Thai fried rice with pork and I think it’s the best fried rice I have ever had!
The Thai coffee was a special treat and the crab puffs were very tasty.

Go and try it you won’t be disappointed.

The best Thai food I’ve ever had. I moved to Phoenix from NYC where the Thai food is renowned. I must say Angel Thai Bistro is as good or better than the best NYC Thai food I’ve eaten. I am VERY impressed and there is no doubt I will be back!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We love this little place. A few places have come and gone in this spot, and I'm glad Angel Thai found its way here. I'm a bit picky with Thai food: the panang and yellow curries have to be good (to my taste, anyway.) Tried them, loved them. I've since tried just about all the curries, pad Thai, stir fry, etc. I honestly haven't come across a dish I don't like here. Even the papaya salad, normally not my thing, is excellent, if quite spicy!

They honor a 5% discount for healthcare workers too, which I appreciate. That's unusual in today's atmosphere.

Outstanding Thai restaurant! Don't let the location in a suburban strip mall scare you off. This is a very nice little restaurant with exceptionally good food. Dishes were cooked to perfection. The place has a nice contemporary Thai vibe and even the restrooms are attractively decorated. By far the best tasting and authentic Asian food I've had in Phoenix in a very pleasant environment. We'll be back!

We consider ourselves very lucky that Angel Thai Bistro is only 5 minutes from our home. We LOVE Thai food, and have eaten at (or had take-out from) many places in the valley. Unfortunately, we never became regular customers. Since trying Angel Thai several months ago, my husband and I crave their food, and seldom want anything else on take-out nights (which are becoming more frequent!).

Very enjoyable. Pleasant and very fast service. The pot sticker and crab puffs were great. The main course was a chicken fried rice plate and mm-mm it was gooood. Kind of a small place but I was there a bit late so no problem getting a seat. I think you should try this place out if you are in the area.

Green Curry and Pad Thai were both delicious and all the ingredients very fresh.

Super delicious. Only a few Thai food places in town where I can really enjoy because most Thai places dumb down the spicy level. Most Thai places offer a green curry chicken with even the Thai hot variation not tasting spicy. The “hot” level here at Angel Thai Bistro is more like a medium at some of the other places I do enjoy, but rest assured…this place has chili on the side waiting to be served in the situation that you need more. The curry itself is delicious and is not lacking.

The service is also very prompt and speedy, friendly as well.

We tried this restaurant because our usual Thai restaurant was unexpectedly closed today, and having a deep craving for curry we found this gem down the road from us (dangerously close to us) and it is amazing in flavor, spice and gives you that warm tingly feeling when you taste. They nailed it, this is some real comfort food. Fresh, tasty and perfect spice combo. We will be going back again and again. Thank you for doing it the right way, you won us over.

Delicious and Celiac-friendly at a great price. The menu doesn’t highlight gluten free dishes, but you can always talk to the server or make a note of it on your online takeout order. They even have curbside takeout! They are FAST whether you’re eating in or taking out. It’s a small spot that is just right for a nice quiet dinner, especially if you only need a table for one. The ingredients are always fresh and the flavor is amazing. Eat here once and you’ll be hooked. If spicy isn’t your thing then play it safe with no spice or mild. Even mild has a little kick but is perfect on a cold day. Wish I could give an extra star for how clean the restaurant is too. Dined in one day and noticed immediately how much cleaner it is than other restaurants.

Tasty food; very flavorful and not too spicy when ordering mild. Only complaint is $5 Thai-tea ordered with light ice was still completely filled with ice; it literally would not have been possible to include more. That was disappointing, and I'll avoid ordering that in the future.

Went here two days ago for a very late night dinner with my boyfriend. He talked to the owner for a good while about how he opened this restaurant. The dishes are very good size portions I believe I had the chow mien with shrimp. Very tasty and pretty generous with the shrimp too, I know some places aren't like that.

It's great. Wish they had the fresh rolls most Thai places have but so good. Wish it was closer to home.

I love Thai food and find it pretty difficult to find inedible Thai food. Unfortunately I found it tonight. I threw out the pad Thai which tasted like nothing but a mild ketchup flavor. The beef that I paid extra for in my other noodle dish was tough. Definitely won’t be going back.

All I ordered was sticky rice with peanut sauce and some spring rolls. And got a nice long blue string in my rice, the sauce was gloopy and looked as it was made a week ago, the spring rolls where nice and hard with no taste.

This is the real deal. I’ve tried most Thai restaurants in the Valley and this place is one of the best. We ordered the potstickers, garlic chicken, and fried rice. Samma makes great tasting dishes with quality ingredients. I’ll definitely be making this a regular spot to dine!

Amazing place, only a few months since opening, great food with fresh ingredients we could taste! The owner, Jerry, was a gracious host and very nice to talk to. He asked for our feedback after the meal and kindly listened to our feedback and gave details.
The food, was just mouth watering, my new favorite place for Thai fried rice and the mango sticky rice was to die for. We also ordered veggie rolls (very crispy and delicious) and Thai iced tea. My partner who never drinks Thai iced tea, drank the whole thing and didn't even let me take second sip! The only picture I could take was of the curry because that's what was left after we immediately devoured everything else.
Will go back very soon, can't wait to try rest of the menu!

This place was really good in terms of the food. The service started out good but then got very slow towards the end. It wasn’t because of them being busy either. At one point our server was sitting down and chatting with the table next to us when we had empty drinks. Overall good food though and would try it again.

My sister and I had some delicious Thai food today. We got a panang curry and basil fried rice, and shared the chicken skewers. Absolutely delicious and will be back.

Good Thai food, New and friendly owners, when I stepped in to pick up food, the place had a weird smell but went just once there.

Absolutely delicious! Every ingredient was fresh, the customer service so welcoming and attentive. Plates tried: cashew chicken, chicken chow mein, pineapple fried rice all so yummy, fresh, tasty. The size of the plates was good too.

We ordered our food online and arrived a few minutes early, my husband went in and the owner said he would bring it out which he did it smelled delicious! We got the Penang curry chicken fried rice a vegetable dish and mango sticky rice everything was delicious flavors are spot on and spice level was perfect. We still needed one of these in the area grateful they showed up. Only have a photo of the mango sticky rice because all the food was devoured before I wrote the review

Was in town for work last week. Had the vegetables with tofu, and a fried tofu appetizer. Fantastic. Will come back for sure.

Great experience. Friendly staff, tasty food. I do caution against the no spice. It taste similar to mild spice. I am admittedly a weiner when it comes to spice and the none still had a zing to it. I was sweating but it was still tasty, definitely order the Thai tea, that lessened the blow. Will definitely be coming again.

Definitely some great food here. The angel hair pasta dish with chicken was unusual, but good and yellow curry also top notch.

From the second I walked in I felt very welcome. I wish I had time to eat in, but I'm in the middle of moving to Phoenix from Ohio and didn't have much time. I'm so happy I found you. The pineapple fried rice was wonderful. Looking forward to eating here more and more!! Thank you for your great hospitality and delicious food.

Love this food and this family, seasoning is perfect and portion sizes are huge, it has a home cooked feel that you don't get alot now days. This is how all restaurants should be.

Got the Pad See Ew to-go after the gym. This was the freshest Thai food and some of the freshest food I’ve ever gotten out. The vegetables were all cooked perfectly al dente, the flavor was great and mild had just the right amount of spice to it. I couldn’t be happier and will definitely be coming back and making my way through the rest of the menu!

Service was great, food was even better! We were planning to come back before we even left.

Great service, food was ready quickly & is sooo tasty. Pad Se Ew- Spicy delivers on the heat & fresh flavors, Massaman Curry was rich & flavorful, can’t wait to have when it’s chilly out too. We found our new favorite take out spot!
