Stopped in for lunch with my son and got off to a slow start. We were the only customers there and it took a while for staff to come out of the kitchen and realize we had arrived, but once they did service was speedy and friendly. I had the pad Thai and my son had the green curry. We shared a fresh roll as an appetizer and we both tried the Thai tea. The presentation of everything was very nice. The Fresh roll was fresh and the shrimp was cooked nicely, but the rice paper wrap was a bit too sticky for my taste. The Green Curry had a nice flavor and the spice was present but not overpowering. The Pad Thai seemed a bit bland. Overall it was a pleasant lunch and we would go back again.

The menu is misleading and had food on it, but they did not have the item. We were charged for an item and did not receive it in our order. She was very rude and chose to argue with us rather than replacing the item. We will not be coming back and we hope you make the right decision to eat elsewhere!!! Customer service is everything, plus the food was not great.

We love Zab Thai. I’ve ordered via DoorDash many times. Today, we dined in and I had the Evil Noodle with hot tea. Really hit the spot on a cold day! Dining room is clean and quiet. Service is good. Last year, when I was home sick, I ordered chicken soup and white rice several times through delivery and it was perfect!

The Pad Thai was mildly spicy as I requested. It was fresh, delicious and the portion large.

The handicapped entrance was not easy to find. Fortunately, I was able to see the waitress from outside the front steps and had to ask if they had another way to get into the restaurant besides the stairs. She did direct me to the back entrance that had a ramp to get inside the door and a ramp up to the dining room.

The dining room held only tables and chairs with no decor to ease the starkness. Everything was clean.

The service was prompt and efficient.

Nice restaurant with quality meals. Calamari appetizer was good. All of our dishes were delicious.

Spicy basil Thai hot is the best spicy food I've eaten in fountain hills

We got a to go order, for $16 for pho they gave you a small container that has about 4 cups worth, for $16 this is all you get? Felt like robbery

Food was great but the service is why we’ll come back the next time we’re in the area. My boy lost something relatively insignificant and we had to retrace our steps to find it. 20 mins later we finally found it at Zab - their staff had set it aside just in case we came back for it. It made his night and mine. Most anyone else would have simply thrown it away. Thanks you for being so thoughtful and the delicious meal!

Their information will tell you that orders are accepted 20 to 30 minutes ahead of closing. However, they WILL cancel the order with no explanation. AND, if you call to inquire about the cancellation they will talk over you ‘explaining’ (chattering
Without conversational clarity) why they’ve cancelled the order. I’ve tried over and over wit this place and only continue because it’s cheap (and heretofore fast).

Chill little place in an otherwise closed lunch desert summer low season. Super service, (we were the only ones there) and freshly prepared dishes.

If this was your first experience eating Thai food, I wouldn't"recommend it. I enjoyed eating their vegetarian rice paper wraps, but their Pad Thai, while fresh, is unmemorable. The service isn't great here, either.

Great little place, I always have high expectations for Thai food and this held up. Nice atmosphere, great host. We had the veggie rolls for an appetizer which was great. It came with a sweet and spicy type sauce, we both had phad thai, one mild and mine was dynamite (extra thai hot). They both had great flavor and great spice for the dynamite. The only thing I would change would be the noodle option. It came with angel hair type noodles and I prefer the thicker noodle it usually comes with. For dessert we had mango sticky rice which was awesome. To drink we just had water and iced green tea which was a smooth green tea. Overall great experience. Would come back again

The Orange Chicken is a favorite. We've been here several times and the food is always good and reasonably priced. Service is fast & friendly and the place is clean & cozy. Will be visiting again.

April 2023 update: Prices are up, portion sizes are down. We did take-away and were charged more than what the stated price was online. The food was still reasonably good but not outstanding.

Wow - it was fabulous!! We loved the Pad Thai, Salad spring rolls & Pineapple fried rice. Super delicious & felt like “home-cooking.” Honestly best Thai in Phoenix/Gilbert - wish it was closer, but we love hiking around Fountain Hills - so we definitely want to make this a regular. Service was exceptional as well…thank you!

Hidden gem in The Hills. Delicious, no frills dining. Love supporting our local businesses. Also gluten free, veggie and vegan options.

Sat on the porch. It was boring, hence the lower atmosphere score. The inside was full and we were told upfront 40 minute wait for food. Gave 4 stars because after they told us this they took a while to take our order.

We finally made it a point to visit Zab last night and are extremely glad that we did!

We were immediately greeted by a friendly employee who took our drink order while we read the menu. The refillable brewed green ice tea is very tasty!

We started with extremely fresh, well..... Fresh Rolls which are rice paper wrap, veggies, cilantro, noodle peanut and plum sauce. We also shared the cucumber chutney which was very tasty. We both agreed that we could make a meal just out of the starters because they were so good.

I ordered the Spicy Basil Chicken at Thai Hot spice level along with brown rice. I have never eaten anything too hot for me,. but decided to start with Thai Hot instead of Dynamite. It was delightfully tasty and plenty hot for people I know love heat. I'll give Dynamite a try next time. It very much reminded me of what I was missing from my time working in Thailand.

My wife ordered Pad Thai with the white rice and she loved every bite of it!

Timing of service was excellent even though there were several other tables, one with six people. We look forward to returning to Zab Thai Kitchen!

UPDATE: I ordered Evil Noodles as Dynamite. EXCELLENT! Only order Dynamite if you're frequently considered insane for your love of heat.

Very filling and delicious. Worth the visit. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating is slightly enclosed, long story shortly we loved it.

Very good! We walked here and gave it a try. All food was fresh and hot and the spice level was perfect. We ordered medium and it was spicy but not too hot. Both sauces were great; orange chicken and curry. Took home some left overs.

Good Thai place located in Downtown Fountain Hills. I usually do take out, although they do have a smaller dining room. The Panang Curry is great!

Delicious Phanaeng Curry. Tofu was fresh, and Thai Hot, perfect spice level.
Pad See Ew, was also wonderful, perfectly cooked noodles and fresh vegetables.

New place seems ok, work out problems should get better

Not only is the food delicious and fresh, the friendly staff is a big plus. My husband and I are huge Thai food lovers and their Yellow Curry is on point!! Fresh and flavorful :)

Our new favorite go-to for Thai in Fountain Hills. Great presentation on the dishes, great food (not really sure what the person complaining about bland flavors was on about) and spice that hurts so good, if you want it.

Very disappointed. We had been looking forward to try this place since it opened..we finally had the chance to try it.we tried the other Thai place in town n that was also disappointing. So we were excited about this place 😒. Thai food is suppose to explode with flavors... sadly this did not even pop.. back to driving into Scottsdale for our Thai fix. Oh well.

Pad Thai was very good, better than a lot I have had in the valley. Also when you get it to-go they have the cabbage and sprouts on the side so it doesn't get soggy. I would be careful when exploring their spice level, medium was quite hot but had no lasting burn.

Very good Orange Chicken, could have used a little more salt and less sweetness. "Fresh Roll" was good too. We'll go back.
