Teak House Thai Restaurant
Authentic Taste of fine Thai Cuisine.
Experience the favor.
New restaurant looks amazing and my order of glass noodles stir fry with chicken was just as excellent as I remember it at the old location. Staff who took my Togo order was incredibly nice after dealing with bad phone service on my end. I live about 40 minutes away, but sure to stop in anytime I’m over that way. So so good!!
The service is okay, the atmosphere is okay, and the price is okay, but the chef is probably not Thai because he cannot grasp the key points of Thai food and cannot find the balance between sour, spicy, sweet and salty. No wonder such a big restaurant is deserted on a Friday night, with mostly take-out customers.
We enjoyed our vivit. Lydia was an attentive and friendly waitress. We felt the decor was clean, attractive, and fitting. The Thai dishes were delicious, BUT the pork chops on the plate were tough and because they had been overcooked. I ate most of one pork chop but couldn't face trying the second. Stick to their Thai dishes.
We drove past this place to our hotel and we can smell the food! The next day...we were looking for a place to eat and decided to try this place since we had tried the other Thai location before. Don't let the outside fool you.
The staff was great and our waiter definitely loved his job and knew taste!! Only reason I didn't give a 5star was because they had nothing vegetarian for appetizers. Usually we get at least spring rolls.
The food was amazing and yes the fried rice was delicious!! We had the drunken noodles with tofu which I highly recommend! Be aware of adding anything extra....they charge .95cents! Our waiter suggested adding cilantro, but I don't think I even had any. For .95cents you can get the entire bunch. So ask before you add or you meal might be $$$.
Portions were a good size. I normally eat spicy and the hot was not hot enough!! They don't have the fancy spice rack like most locations, so get right the 1st time...if u like spicy...Thai hot is doable.
Dinner was fantastic. We had to wait at the hostess desk for several minutes before someone sat us at a table. Not terrible for a Friday night at dinner time. It was our first time visiting. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with questions about the menu. The food came out pretty quickly and freshly made. The food was terrific. All fresh ingredients and high quality. Would Definitely recommend! And well be back, for sure.
a good place to fill your stomach! since the place is so popular, you might have to wait for a table sometimes but it is worth it. got their vegetarian glass noodles with some tofu on top. wish it had more vegetables tho. the portion was a little too generous. could probably feed three of me but not complaining lol. our server was trying her absolute best to be attentive despite the hectic lunch hour.
We ate at the restaurant. Please see other reviews regarding the carry out experience. Everything from the spring roll appetizer to all three of our main dishes was wonderful. Food was prepared within ten minutes and service was efficient and friendly. I absolutely loved my yellow curry. My child loved the spring rolls and her chicken rice dish. My Husband loved the Thai Basil rice. Good food, quick quality service, good prices.
Teak House is the best Thai cuisine in Daphne, AL! That’s quite a statement, but I promise you will not be disappointed. Of course, the Pad Thai is so delicious! Many different ways you can order this, but we usually opt for Shrimp or Vegetarian (w/ Tofu) or no meat (just noodles), medium spicy. Huge portions! One entree is generous enough for two hungry people with no extra sides, OR maybe 4 people with smaller portions.
Next, we love the Traditional Citrus Herb Soup (Thom Yum). The broth is tangy and flavorful, with an assortment of veggies plus a choice of meat. Personally, just the soup alone (no meat) is a great pairing with any dish, especially the Pad Thai.
If you enjoy appetizers, the Creamy Crab Wontons & Fresh Egg rolls always hit the spot!
We usually order our food to-go for our convenience. Orders are always prepared quickly and accurately. Never any issues to bring a taste of Thai to your home. Enjoy!!
The new place is a huge upgrade! It is hard to find if you don't know where it is. It's in the same location, but at the back of the building on the north end behind Nothing Bundt Cakes. It's seems to be mostly the same menu, traditional Thai food, done well and in a clean shiny new kitchen. Friendly, helpful servers and very nice dining area. They seem to do a great take out business too. The lunch specials were large portions and promptly served! Check them out if you haven't been in a while.
Lindo lugar y delicioso todo
I called ahead of time told them I was ordering on door dash I wanted cucumbers and tomatoes as if we were in restaurant eating she said I will be sure to even give you extra. My plate got to house ONE cucumber and ONE tomatoe 🤦🏼♀️ I even called ahead….. good grief

Firstly: I ordered Thai spicy because I'm sure it would have been lost if I said "phet mak mak", it would have been lost in the service. It was just not spicy at all. The flavor itself was just so-so. Service was great! Place was clean.
Always takes forever. Food was burnt this most recent time. If my girl friend didn’t like it I would never step foot in this place again
Arrived at 12:00 and they were closed
A Third World Dining Experience.
It is thankfully, not very often that I leave a restaurant with the desire to take a bath, but that was certainly the case after eating here. It was uncomfortably warm, every surface was covered in a thick layer of dust, there were mysterious brown drippy stains on the wall, the table was sticky and I mean VERY sticky and everything that sat on the table: the salt and pepper shakers, the soy sauce bottle, the “wine list,“ everything was covered in a sticky thick film. The sweat from my plastic beverage glass left behind a milky white translucent liquid as it loosened the ick on the table. The air conditioning system was dripping ice cold condensation on the floor and customers. The wait staff while friendly was running around as though they were woefully undermanned and therefore working under immense pressure. The food was fresh, hot, and reasonably tasty, but any accolade that could be given to the food is overshadowed by the overall filth of the establishment. The music was low quality, tinny, and not in the least enjoyable. If I wanted to listen to top 40 I would turn on the radio. Is there no Thai music that could be used as background in a Thai themed dining establishment? To the ownership I would say look around you. There are fresh new businesses popping up next-door that will draw people to the area. Clean up and do better and your establishment might succeed as well.
It's great thai food. My favorite dish is the drunken noodles, but all of their dishes are great.
Very zen and calming atmosphere. Good waitress. Good food
I ordered the drunken noodles and they left little to be desired. I ordered them “mild, maybe medium, but not tooo spicy” (because sometimes with Thai food “medium” spice is unbearable). Well, my noodles had no spice, no sauce, and no flavor at all. The shrimp was extra, which I figured would be good being so close to the water, but it tasted like shrimp you get from the frozen food aisle at the grocery store, again with no flavor. Very disappointed.
Horrible food. Don't waste your money. I got Thai beef salad and it was not edible. The beef was hard and dry and the dish was so very salty. To fail to this extreme is an embarrasment. Shame on this restaurant.
The food is amazing!
I tried to get lunch there twice 2:10pm but they didn't serve me, they are only open till 2:30pm and they have to leave sharp to pick up kids!
Food is just absolutely horrible, does the cook actually think this is good? You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Garbage.
Update: I accidentally came back here under a fog of undernourishment...mistake.... original review stands....
Kind of taste like like "Thai day" at a middle school cafeteria.
Definitely Tyson farms chicken and some frozen vegetables... I really didn't mean to come back here it was a mistake
Food was good.
The food is pretty much always good when I've had it. The reason the rating is a 1 star is because when I get my food to-go from there it's always been put in Styrofoam when it's hot. This leads to the styrofoam melting and leeching into the food every time. I have stopped going.
Delicious! Need I say more.
Very good!!!!
Very good
Would love to try it but it seems that their hours are not their hours and they stop serving or taking orders before 8:30 if you are there in person and 8:15 over the phone. Last week I showed up at 8:30 and they wouldn’t serve me so I called tonight at 8:15 and yet again. No service. 👌
… y’all update to be fair I got my butt in there earlier and they are always SOO loving and accommodating. The food is DELISH! I get the garden veggie pad Thai.
Good was amazing.!! I ordered Pad Thai and it was super yummy 🤤
The food was fresh, The service was good, and the prices are reasonable. I Will definitely be back to try other items on their menu.
Wonderful food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere!
Very good food
I love the pad Thai! No one else compares to Teak House.
The food was sub-par. Nothing like the food I ate overseas. The waitress was only attentive when she gave us our bill.
Nasty food ! Nasty nasty just absoulty gross… Food and restaurant is just fifthy dirty … can’t image the kitchen how unsanitary …. Do Not recommend … Stay away for food safety … scary ..
The panang (orange curry) is delicious, the pad thai is pretty good, the soups can be hit and miss.
Great, friendly service.
Everything is good. (The decor? Kinda boring, but the wife and I go there for food.)
There is one small item that is negative... every time I order a soft drink with the meal, the drink is flat. So, now I just order water.
Go there often. It is clean, and the staff does a good job.
The food was pretty good. I was expecting fried rice and received regular white rice but the sauce blended well with it. Waitress was super nice, they were just very short on employees.
Very good Thai food and great service.
Party of 9 we were sat down promptly, our server Kaylee was top notch, food amazing and an overall fantastic atmosphere. Weather it’s staying to eat or food to go, you’re guaranteed to enjoy the food!
Food is consistently delicious. The service is the best.
This is my go to spot for Curry as well as chicken fried rice. My favorites are the red and yellow curry- mild spicy.
There were two roaches within sight of our booth before we ordered. We did not order food, we notified staff and left.
Best fried rice around!
Wow the rudest nastiest host I have ever met. Will never return. No customer service. Yuck
Service was a tad slow when we were there; they seemed a bit short staffed in the front of house. Luckily good company made it easy to be patient — it was worth the wait. Everyone’s food was fantastic.
The food is great, BUT…this restaurant makes low wage earning delivery drivers wait unreasonable lengths of time for orders they are getting paid very little to pick up and deliver. INCREDIBLY disrespectful of this restaurant to make a driver wait 40 minutes for an order that isn’t prepared when they’re getting paid like $9 an hour to sit there and miss out on deliveries elsewhere. If a restaurant can’t keep up with in-house orders as well as pickup/delivery orders, then don’t put your business on DoorDash!
Great food! Great service.
Ate in. Granted, I am new to the area so maybe this is normal in warmer climate areas, but I have never in all my life seen a roach that big in a restaurant or for that matter one of any size. The waitress responded by attempting to kill it and state that she had been trying to get that one for an hour. The food was ok at best. it probably would have been better if I did not feel every bite had been contaminated by the roaches that weren't climbing the wall next to our booth. Like I said, I am new to the area, so maybe this is normal, but I will not be returning. Honestly, I am not sure why we stayed.
Food was good.
Chicken Satay was great. Pretty good beef fried rice, much different than Chinese or Hibachi fried rice, but in a good way.
Amazing but would like more chicken in the drunken noodle stir fry
I love the fish tank :) The food is always very good, and my server was nice but she kept interrupting us and as a result brought the wrong food. The atmosphere would be better but the servers constantly running past us bumped it down.
The service was good. Both of my children enjoyed their meals. But the beef was tough. We had the pad Thai. The noodles were good, but I’ve had better. Not a terrible experience but not as good as I was expecting from reading the reviews.
Classic Teriyaki Chicken with steamed vegetables. Very good.
Pad Thai - Shrimp Pad Thai - fantastic
We eat here all the time (carry-out now because the dine in service began to take way too long) and it's usually really good. I've been trying to speak to the owner for over a week now because that's who I was told to speak to about our recent issue. Still haven't heard from them.
They food is always delicous. The servings are large so you get alot for your money. The atmosphere could use so help but overlook because food is so good.Worth a trip!
Food was way better than the service.
My wife's absolutely favorite Thai restaurant. Thai hot is actually quite hot but retains the flavor. Try the green or orange curry.
Very quick service. Chicken fried fine was good
Well done!
Horrible service, we waited 1 1/2 hrs for our food and then some of it had to be sent back! We will not be back! Talked to the owner and he was very rude and wouldn't make it right! I would not recommend dining here!
Food is the best Thai food around and wait staff are incredible. If you are craving good Thai food this is the place!
Usually food is excellent, but it took us 2 hours to have dinner on a Monday night. Waitress was terrible and food didn't come out correct. Will be awhile before returning.
First time. Great food!!!
No wasted time since it was at dinner time (noon in Dixie). We were pleased with the waitress and the food was great. The average person and or family will be able to afford these meals. They could be flying the State of Alabama flag to support the State where they do business. The Confederate Battle Flag is also acceptable.
Almost every one of their fish have parasites. Extremely unappetizing. If they can't clean their fishtank I cant imagine how dirty the kitchen is. Giving medicine to those poor fish isn't hard.
I ordered beef pad Thai which had a good flavor but it was not spicy at all despite requesting the second highest spiciness level that they offered. On the plus side our waiter was very friendly and engaging.
Tried to call in an order, sat on hold for over 5 minutes and no one ever picked up. Decided to go to eat in, stood in the lobby for over 10 minutes without even as much as a hello from the staff. When one lady finally approached me she told me there were no tables. Had enough and just left.
The food is always fresh. And everything on the menu is outstanding.
So…. I don’t know how this place has close 5 stars because it’s like strip mall corner “china wall” quality place with higher prices, but Thai.
I blame it on the lack of good variety of restaurants in the south, resulting in people who don’t know what good Thai food tastes like.
Anyways, I paid over 12$ for a plate that was essentially just under-seasoned stir fry, about 85% cabbage. Few bites of chicken, maybe 4 mushroom and a few carrot slices, but literally it was mostly just cabbage I mean it was pretty absurd. I picked my way through it as it was late and everything here closes early aside from fast food, so I didn’t have much of a choice.
Apart from that, I wasn’t told a thimble sized sauce was a 1.00$ up charge. They don’t Nickel-and-dime here, they dollar-and-50c here LOL.
Save your money and tastebuds and make better Thai food at home.
Great food
Teak House is the best Thai cuisine in Daphne, AL! That’s quite a statement, but I promise you will not be disappointed. Of course, the Pad Thai is so delicious! We really liked it, we will be back. We live in foley, so it is a drive, but well worth it
Really tasty food. I got a noodle soup and really enjoyed it. Will be back.
We drove past this place to our hotel and we can smell the food! The next day...we were looking for a place to eat and decided to try this place since we had tried the other Thai location before. Don't let the outside fool you.

Yummy food! It was very busy and they were short staffed but I won’t take stars off for that because I know everywhere there are staff shortages. I love Thai food and Thai hot curry! So good I forgot to take pictures before I ate almost all of it!
Stopped in an placed an order and paid . Pad se ew with shrimp. Kids chicken dippers, and shrimp tempora. They told me the order was ready. I did not check the order. Got an home and it was wrong went back to make it correct. They gave me teriyaki chicken instead of the pad set ew. Then he said that's what I ordered. I said no I know what I ordered. It took them 2 more times to get it right. The other part of the order was cold . But going to ever go back and the food is not good. I don't understand why they have a good rating. I waisted $48.58 what a shame. And I guess I should not have tipped them ahead of time which was $14.00 but my fault. I am always trying new places. Stay away from this one.
Service was good but the food was just ok. The dumplings, calamari, and crab ragoon was better than the meal. I had the fried shrimp (very dry) w/ vegetables (very salty), like maybe it was frozen and then fried, who knows. The other person had the pork fried rice and it was super salty as well. The fried rice is preseason w/ soy sauce or other salty sauce for ya apparently. If you need that salt attack then this is the place.
I've liked ordering here in the past; their food is great, though once they forgot to put any spice in a takeout order, which DoorDash quickly refunded.
Ordering takeout today at one pm, I was given an estimated time of twenty-five minutes, so I showed up at one-twenty. No one spoke to me until about thirty, and I ended up having to call the restaurant from inside the restaurant to be given the excuse that they had a lot of takeout orders come in at once, that the cook swore he'd already made the food, and that someone else must have gotten my food instead. Finally checked out at fifty minutes after I ordered.
They're clearly understaffed, which sucks, but if someone had projected the correct time based on the amount of orders they were getting, double-checked on what was being made, and...not given my entire order to someone else(what? how?), I'd have appreciated this trip a lot more.
Food was good, though! I hope they can hire and retain more employees, somehow.
Soothing atmosphere very authentic food and very reasonable price the gyoza or crab Rangoon are the best appetizers but can't really go wrong here. The table we sat at was sticky but they said it was the varnish for the table other then that great place to eat quick service as well
I really enjoy going here. It is about a 45 minute drive but so worth it. It is well priced and the food is so good🤌🏼. My favorite is the Chicken or Shrimp Pad Thai. The Drunken noodles is also another favorite however, everything we have tried has been really good. The portions are hearty and I usually bring home leftovers enough for a second meal. I have dined in and also have ordered take out. The service is great and the staff is friendly.
I recently tried Teak House while in Daphne, AL. I saw it had great reviews and they were correct. The food was amazing!! I couldn’t decide between 2 dishes so I ordered both To Go and ate one that night and had the other the 2nd night. I ordered their Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew. I asked for both dishes to be Mild and I picked the chicken. I decided to eat the Pad Se Ew first because it had fresh cilantro and I didn’t know how well it would hold up overnight. That was the best Pad Se Ew I’ve ever had. The flavor of the sauce was perfect, the chicken was flavorful and tender, and the fresh cilantro added that special touch to it. I will for sure get that again the next time I am in Daphne. The next night I had the Pad Thai. It was also very good, but I think it would have been even better fresh. I liked the sauce of the Pad Se Ew better. But you can’t go wrong with either of them for sure. The person who took my order over the phone was very nice and the lady who waited on me when I arrived was super friendly. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be going back.
Oh yes yes yes! This place checks off everything for me. Great food, great waitresses, and great atmosphere! Thai basil rice and the coconut soup 🍜
It was 2:15 and they said they close at 2:30 and said they could not seat us, They still had the open sign on and the door was unlocked, will never go back! I have had a business for a very long time and I would never turn someone away before we are officially closed!
A little disappointed.
Pad Thai was as good as the box meal you can get from the grocery store. Wife's meal, Drunken Noodle Stir Fry was alright, not bad, not great. However, it did not look anything like the picture on the menu.
I hear their curry is really good, but did not try it. IF we go back, I'll try that.
If you're needing an immediate Thai fix, go for it. If you can wait, buy the box from the grocery store and do it yourself.
Service wasn't super never got a drink refill the whole meal. Could be short staff problems like everyone else
Really good service and good food. I will go back
Go to Thai food in South baldwin county.
Very good food and service. The shrimp Pad Tai is wonderful.
This place is great! Prices are good. Quick service. Nice people.
A good Thai staple. Not fancy. Good prices. Smiling staff.
First time there and first time trying thai food. It was great food, great service we will be back
I had some of the best service I’ve had anywhere, Peyton was a delight and made this a place worth coming back to.
I’ve been eating here for years and they rarely disappoint. Excellent food excellent service!
Best Thai food on Eastern Shore. Huge menu and everything always tastes great.
Food is always fantastic here!
Great food & great staff!
Authentic taste and the service was excellent. A little dated decor overall still that Oriental feeling
a good place to fill your stomach! since the place is so popular, you might have to wait for a table sometimes but it is worth it. got their vegetarian glass noodles with some tofu on top. wish it had more vegetables tho. the portion was a little too generous. could probably feed three of me but not complaining lol. our server was trying her absolute best to be attentive despite the hectic lunch hour.
Always delicious😋 the pad Thai is my favorite
I'm a big food critic. With that being said to get a 5 star is very rare. The food and customer service was a high 5 star . A big thank you and you'll be seeing us again.
We enjoyed sharing the Pork Fried Rice and side dishes.
Super nice staff. Did was made to order and tasted amazing. Very clean and will kept building.
Our waitress was fantastic... great service. Food was pretty good. I had the yellow curry with chicken. Egg rolls were delicious.
Good food & great service! Will definitely be back!
Absolutely horrible I would never order from here again. Doesn't even taste like Thai food
Good
Great food and service! We went for lunch today and we will be back for sure!
Everything was delicious. Their peanut sauce is divine. The staff were friendly and delightful.
Good , not the best around
Great service and food was prepared to perfection.
Wonderful place to eat. Delicious food. You can get spicy food from Thai Hot to no heat. Kelsey and the girls will take good care of you! Try it sometime.
Very nice service. The food was great. The prices are very good.
Great food! The steak salad was delicious and loved their pad Thai. and Lydia was a delightful waitress!
Best thai around
The food was delicious. My new favorite egg rolls.
On this day April 8th after my boyfriend job training for his new job at Daphne Al, we stop by at Teak House THAI for lunch and the food was amazing and delicious 😋.Thanks to our amazing waitresses for welcoming us, and helping us out with the menu especially with the food choice to eat; we will be back most definitely.
Try the "Pad Thai" with shrimp or one of the curry dishes. Excellent food and service!
Great place! First time here and we got the Gyoza to start and the teriyaki chicken and pad Thai lunch specials. Great food, great music playing, and great service. Will be back!
Tried some new things for me. Very good food. The service was great. Fast and friendly. Will be going back soon.
First time there, delicious food and excellent customer service! We really felt welcomed & valued there!
Great food & friendly service! We always stop by anytime we're near the area.
I gave 3 stars (would give 1-2) because the servers were awesome. I went for lunch. They were welcoming to not only myself, but everyone dining that day and they were quick to accommodate all requests. What's sad is the food quality was terrible, which isn't their fault. The chicken was full of cuts you would remove at home and shouldn't serve in a restaurant. You know, the chewy parts, the cartilage, etc. I had a whole plate full at the end of my meal. I asked for medium spicy and there was no spice at all. Again the waitress was amazing, realized there was no spice added and brought me some. The rice was bland, but the spice made it better. However it didn't seem fresh or "Thai like" at all. Just not a good experience considering i love the Thai food from back home and would usually eat there once a week. Trying to find a place here locally that will fill that void and it seems bangkock is the closest so far. Will have to check out some other places in Mobile. Maybe that's the hot spot for Thai. Also, maybe it was just a bad day for Teak house. I will possibly try it again.
My favorite local Thai food restaurant.
I love this place! Food is great!
