Shopping-center stop for classic Southeast Asian eats in a relaxed yet refined environment.
Benjarong is delicious and welcoming on all accounts. The hostess/server welcomed us to sit anywhere (we were in for dinner on a weekday, very chill inside) and immediately served us some water and we ordered Thai teas. Apps and entrees came out pretty quick and satiated us both.
Highly recommend spring rolls, the spicy garden dish, and pair with Pad Thai of course. Go for spicy! Though curry is always tempting.
Ordered take-out of chicken satay, pad thai, yellow curry & pineapple fried rice (see photo) for $55 before tip.
This portion looks like it can feed 2-3 people, which comes down to ~$18.40 each....to me that's a lot per head for a lunch meal, but I also recognize that everything costs more.
Just griping, but I think portion can be more relative to cost.
Food-wise, it was OK. The fried rice was salty; pad thai was on the pale side, not yellowish like how I'm used to. Peanut sauce was good, which made the overall taste better.
We all have different tastes & preferences; onto the next Thai place for me.
Came for Valentine’s Day with my husband. Decor was adorable and place was spotless. Have been to the maple valley location a few times and this one was just as good. Service was great, food arrived SO FAST and was delicious. I had pad se ew and my husband has mussamum curry, both were delish. Will go back for sure! Either location! Prices very reasonable, only $25 for 2 of us for dinner
The lady here is very rude.Today the food taste was really bad, chicken in pad se ew was very hard, garlic crispy chicken tasted very bad and we didn’t enjoy at all. We had a bad experience and didn’t tip and to our surprise while I was onboarding my baby, the lady came running after us and by holding the door of the car saying “I don’t need your tip”. This is how you behave with your customers? This is the worst dine in experience I ever had in my life.will never recommend to friends and families!!!
Just got Uber eats and was not good. Pad Thai was mushy and delivery was 20 mins. Definitely overcooked. 5 pieces of chicken. No bean sprouts of note and a tiny bit of shredded lettuce. I’ve had pad Thai hundreds of time for past 25 years….. not exaggerating worst ever. I usually order because it’s hard to mess up…. Or so I thought.
I ordered spicy and 0 spice… Bland AF.
Fried rice was good but again little chicken and literally 5 cashews.
Understand that ingredients are more expensive than ever. You are going to get charged more or given less. Still you have to serve a good meal.
My favorite Thai place period, I've tried lots of places throughout King county and this place has the best pad Thai. Their noodles are thinner than most places, which I prefer
Favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Everyone there is very pleasant and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Peak thai food location
If you haven't tried them, your missing out. *CHEFS KISS*

Food was really good, restaurant seemed clean and the atmosphere was relaxing.
Great staff, amazing food, wonderful portions
Do not order takeout from their website. I did and showed up to pick up my food only to find out that my order had not been placed with them. The lady at the front was extremely rude and dismissive to me. She did not seem concerned or even interested to hear that I had ordered and paid for a meal even though I had a receipt that had been sent to my phone proving that a food order had been placed. She informed me that I was wasting her time trying to explain my situation. Now I have no dinner, I’m out $35 and my credit card may have been hacked! She told me in an irritated tone that it was not her problem to fix, that I would have to figure it out. I have worked in customer service for over 20 years and I have never spoken to a customer in the way that she spoke to me. Shame on you! You shouldn’t treat people that way! I will never give them my business again! I vote with my dollar.
Love the Pad Thai and the Crispy Garlic Chicken.

After months of coming here, me and wife are no longer happy with their service and will more than likely never return. We though it was maybe a bad day and our food was just really mushy with overcooked noodles that turned to paste in your plate. We went back a few days later and OMG we were grossed out when we saw cook scratching really deep into his ear like he was in the zone and then went right back to preparing food. We stopped mid order and said never mind and walked out. I also called the health department and told them what we saw so hopefully they get investigated because that is seriously a health risk.
Great staff, food was delicious, and quickly prepared. One of my favorite locations for dinner in Covington.
Hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Get the Masaman Curry!
Quick lunch service. Reasonably priced lunch specials or fill up on the Won ton soup.
Outstanding Thai food in a hidden strip mall location. Seriously, the food was too notch.
Prob the best Thai place I've been too since moving here. Staff was nice food was great. Will come back again.
Very bland food. Not much meat.
Ordered take-out of chicken satay, pad thai, yellow curry & pineapple fried rice (see photo) for $55 before tip.

Yummy! This place is so cute and cozy. Waitress was kind and quick. Food was so good! Grab rangoons were so fresh. Chicken pad Thai to die for! So glad we decided to stop here!
Been eating from this place for years. Always a nice, clean and quiet place for lunch and dinner. Great for takeout too. Friendliest staff too!
They used to serve decent Thai food. Apparently, no longer. We recently dined there and actually returned an entry because it tasted like it was prepared with old cooking oil. We NEVER return food! We won't go back and recommend that anyone reading this and instead go to the Iron Grill right nextdoor.
No cilantro on my pad thai but the noodles were delicious 😋
Our food was ok! Nice little place but horrible service.
Very rude server! Definitely not going back.
We went here a long time ago and enjoyed our food. Sadly, today didn't meet our expectations. Service was very slow and it took nearly 30 minutes for our single order to arrive. Veggies were barely cooked. Waited for 10 minutes to pay and I finally took the check to the counter. Wait staff was friendly and refilled water frequently. Lots of boxes of supplies all over the back of the restaurant. We will try a different restaurant next time.
Really tasty food , not too spicy although you can get spicy
Geez-the wait times for to-go orders are insane. Every time I come in to pick up an order it is always AT LEAST 20-30 minutes later than originally stated. Do better!
1. Everything is fresh
2. Great proportions of ingredients.
3. You can distinguish the palette of every single taste, because the sauce doesn’t cover ( overpower) them.
Lovely little gem in Covington. Very clean with nice decor, fast service, and good food. Love the very affordable lunch combination special!
I ordered take out and the service was very quick and friendly but the dishes are more expensive than the prices listed on their website and the portions are small for the price. There was a $2 upcharge for beef which is fine except for the amount of beef included was a disappointment. The place is clean and the food is good quality but I won't be returning due to the price discrepancy and portion size.
A little different take on some of the dishes I’ve tried. Food was great and service was fast. I liked the Pad Thai and Green Curry especially.
Food was delicious and the waiter was very nice and accommodating.
We enjoyed the experience.
GOOD FOOD
Love the Mussamun Curry! A bit pricey, but the food and staff are always fantastic!
I absolutely love this place. This is probably my favorite place to go to, and to order from. I had a previous favorite, but upon moving, I needed a new spot. Benjarong has filled my nosh spot quite nicely 👌 we've moved again, but luckily, Benjarong came on ubereats during covid, and we were more than happy to give them our monies. I have a lot of allergies and intolerances, but I can eat a select few Thai dishes. Such a treat!
Benjarong Thai has that family owned feel, with the cooking to back it up. The meals are great, and fairly inexpensive for what is offered. All the entrees that I have tried, I have not been disappointed by. The Soup, main, and rice was cooked to perfection! (++)Would definitely visit again!
Food safety sign only ranked as good. Slow to be greeted (arrived at 5:10). Music was too loud, asked her to turn it down (never happened). Slow to have our order taken. (I order red curry with 3 out of 5 heat rating). Was not even offered to order a drink before she ran off. Food arrived within 15 mins (only one other table was present at that time). Rice was cold. Wife's order arrived 5 minutes after mine. Bland on flavor, no spice at all. 35.00 with a tip. We won't go back.
Came for Valentine’s Day with my husband. Decor was adorable and place was spotless. Have been to the maple valley location a few times and this one was just as good. The food was good, but i got a bad rash after the meal. I think I was allergic to an ingredient in the food.
Just got Uber eats and was not good. Pad Thai was mushy and delivery was 20 mins. Definitely overcooked. 5 pieces of chicken. No bean sprouts of note and a tiny bit of shredded lettuce. Worst Thai food I've ever tasted, and I've eaten Thai food everywhere I've traveled. Everything lacked taste! Had Tom Yum, Garlic Chicken, Chicken Sate. Everything went into our yard waste.
Picked up on 1/31/2023.
Food was not good. Noodles were bland and tasteless. Would not recommend.
When I went friday night they only had one server and so service was a little slow. But the food was amazing and the server did a great job
Tasty and good portions.
Corner seating is super fun.
Server was super busy, I think they need a second server.
This place is god tier. I come here all the time. The food is so good and the staff is friendly. The new renovations have also made the place look so nice. 10/10
Great place to eat.
In a word AWFUL food and service 😡
My full review posted on Yelp
Had the grilled beef salad (super yummy and spicy - perfect for this cold winter evening) and the mussamun curry which we scarfed up. Great little hole in the wall in Covington. Quite busy.
Too pricey the food could use some help.
Excellent food and service while nestled in the cutest restaurant. I will definitely be going back!
Haven't had anything here that I didn't like.
Super delicious and filling portions. The staff may have been over their heads and under staffed but nonetheless it was a great experience.
Just got dinner and was garbage lucky I'm ti lazy to call and complain
Really excellent Thai food. I had the lunch special with massaman curry and it was awesome
I used to like this place but tonight paid 29.00 for rice with no veggies or flavor. It was supposed to be chicken fried rice, it was maybe 1.5 cups of plain rice with an 8th of a cup of freeze dried chicken? I ordered crispy garlic chicken that was tough, greasy and overcooked. Could hardly chew it so thew it away. I will never go there again. Awful.
One of my favorite restaurants
Very flavorful. Delicious
Ordered through uber eats and food had no taste. The noodles felt bland and pine apple fried rice didn't have any spice in it. Pretty disappointing 😞
One of the best Thai food restaurants I have ever had. Thank you.
Used to be a 5 star for me but the quality has gone down.
To start out with the good, Pad Thai is great, not dry and very flavorful and the crab Rangoon's are good.
The bad.. beef is way to chewey and unseasoned. The curry just tastes like curry paste and coconut milk, does not have the variety of flavors you'd expect from curry. I remember the curry being way better 4 years ago.
My go to place for years. Not always perfect but my favorite spot for Thai
Food is good. Service is lacking. Every time I come in the door, whether it be for myself or picking up a DoorDash order, the place looks abandoned and it's very difficult to get any help from staff. Maple Valley location is a little better.
Great food, staff was a little slower than normal but we still like them
Always delicious!
First time being here, ordered panang curry. All chicken sitting in the most water downed "curry" I've ever had. Took few bites and couldn't eat it. Now I've got food poisoning. Will never go back...hands down worst Thai I've ever had!
We eat here often. The food is consistently good. We always order extra so that we have leftovers for the next day or two.
UPDATE: I’m not sure what happened but the food quality took a nose dive. We order almost every dish with chicken and the chicken came cooked to the point where it was extremely tough. We finally stopped going and found a different Thai restaurant. This is so disappointing because it once was such a great place to eat
Noodle delight was extremely bland. Green curry and shrimp wonton were disgusting. Chicken satay was OK.
Zero stars. Bad service. Waitress gave us napkins at the end of our meal, I had to get my own menus. Water had floating things in it. Penang curry was tart and bland. Green curry was ok. Took out of state family here for dinner and was embarrassed.
I got the beef Pad see lew and I’ve been chewing on the same piece of beef for 10 minutes. The noodles are ok, I was expecting it to be much better. Super disappointed 😔
The owner was good and friendly. Exceptional lady. Always smiling at clients and explaining though her English is difficult to understand. I enjoyed tge food and it was worth the money
Always delicious. Super great staff/owners.
Best thai cuisine (flavor) in the kent, covington, and maple valley area.
I always cook thai food and Ilove trying thai food. i moved in the area no too long ago and have tried muliple thai foods in the area but this has the best taste.
Can never go wrong with both their phad see ew and phad thai.
They were quick with my to-go order
Great service and the curry was delish!
My first time trying Thai. The service was great, the hostess/server was very accommodating, friendly, and attentive. They were extremely busy with take out orders but still serviced us efficiently and politely. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Chicken Satay, and Thai iced Tea. The Pad Thai smelled a little strange to me at first but was absolutely delicious. The Pad See Ew was phenomenal, and Satay was great, although one skewer was slightly undercooked (but reheated perfectly the next day) but overall fantastic. Definitely worth a try regardless of other reviews.
Just changed my five star review to a one star review. The food here was great until the last part of 2020 and early 2021. Your pad thai tastes like sugar bombs. Please let me know as soon as you hire the old chef back or a new chef that can cook, please!!! Loyal customer for six years that really wants to give you business!!
Took my daughters to lunch today . Dead bug embedded on our table ... next a bug landed on noodles and got stuck in the sauce . Likely didn’t help that their are dead plants in there , one directly behind our table .
Then in one of our orders a plastic piece in One of our dishes . She proceeded to explain it was just from their fish sauce and brought out the bottle to show us . She was apologetic , offered to make a fresh plate ... turns out , they rewarmed the dish and sent it with us ... charged us as well . We have been customers here for as long as I recall . Not any more .
The employees are very rude and the food is not as good.
Three times ordered with medium 3-4 star spicy and all orders were with absolutely no spice. Two times received totally different what I ordered. Ordered padkewmao receive beef broccoli. Will not order from this place again
The server was rude and non accommodating! No greeting or inquiry as to any thing regarding our menu... we left immediately to find another establishment.
The food had a nasty smell like rotten rat ugh I feel robbed it was not worth $$$
Food was ok. Penang curry was like tasteless water curry and pad kee noodles were also missing flavor. The lady taking order was also talking in rude tone. Must be doing good in this pandemic for treating her customers like this. Gonna avoid going here and tell other to do same. I hope they can make changes as i love supporting local businesses
We got:
-Egg rolls (mushy inside)
-chicken Phad Thai (the most bland, colorless phad thai I’ve ever tasted. Not edible at all)
-chicken red curry
The Red curry was the most flavorful dish.
Probably won’t be back.
I guess I'm not the only one who thinks its gone downhill? Got my usual pad thai. It taste like mushy Top Ramen noodles with overcooked chicken. No taste whatsoever. Called to complain only to be told that's the way pad thai is made. Wow! Plenty others out there.
We've never actually been in the restaurant! We moved to the area in July & have ordered via uber eats multiple times. Absolutely love their food!! We get their yellow curry, masaman curry, and pad thai. All are delicious!! When delivered the food is always hot, which I appreciate!
Love it!
I have been here before and been pleased. They went downhill. The chicken satay was overcooked to the point it was rubbery, the fried tofu was like cardboard, the kee mao noodles weren't stirred during cooking and all clumped together in a single mass. The only item which met my expectations was the red curry which was very good; it didn't make up for the failures.
Love their pad Thai chicken!!!!
Very disappointing on flavor on food. NOT be good back
The person talk to the customer she is not a good lady actually she didn’t know how to do customer service.
The food was not good..the tom kah soup was lacking ingredients and was very plain, actually all the food was very bland, the crab rangoon tasted fishy this is not good food at all
Try youpas thai..they have really good food..trust me youll try youpas, you'll never go to benjarong..
Went with a friend. She order chicken satay...it was so overcooked..it was like grandma forgot the turkey in the oven. They didn't try and correct it. We will not be going back.
Very very poor service
Slow
Messed up order
Will never go again
I ordered Curry and no rice?!? 🤔 was told order separate....... ordered shrimp no shrimp? Paid extra for shrimp! Smh..🤦🏽♀️ never delivery from this place again.....
Lazy service
The food was handed to us pretty quickly after we ordered, the staff were friendly, and the food was great.
After ordering from this place twice, I can still confirm I will order from them again in the future
This place is great. The staff is extremely helpful and the food is wonderful.
They also provide an e-mail address on their website if you have any questions or just want to let them know how they're doing. Definitely will continue to eat here!
Good Thai food.
Really great
Nice place, fitness here to , haha swimming pool in there
Hardly any chicken in my chicken pad Thai literally one spoonful
Haven't discovered a menu item I haven't liked. Everything tastes very fresh and dish is always more than I can eat in one sitting.
Great food and service. Always enjoy coming here!
Finally have time to leave this important review. I have been coming to this restaurant for 7 years now. As the years went by, the service, and most importantly food have gotten tremendously worse.
When you first walk-in, you need to greet the staff to get their attention. They will pay you no mind otherwise. If you come around 8, it’s even worse, maybe because they close at 9, but if that’s the case, change your closing time to 8.
I always get the yellow curry here, it was my go to spot for it, for awhile. This week when I got it, the curry was watery, it tasted like they boiled 1 peanut in a pot of water. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back.
Fri ri nom
Food is very good and friendly service.
Well done.
Thank you
SOOOO GOOD. Better than any in the area by miles.
Food is excellent!
GREAT FOOD & PEOPLE
Clean establishment, fast making the food and friendly customer service. However, the food was the worst thai food I have ever ate. Got a pretty gnarly upset stomach and simply felt like I ate bad food. The food was tasteless, veggies looked old. Wont go back to this location or the maple valley location.
ALWAYS amazing food and fast service. The food comes out picture perfect and you always get exactly what you ordered!! Fantastic customer service always as well! Thank you!!!
The food was not good at all!
Food was good but they did not wash the cups from the last table (there was lipstick on a glass) and they did not wipe the table down. I tried three items. Two bad, and one really good. So it's definitely hit or miss. Overall it's a risky venture.
I went here sometime in 2018 and it was awesome. Went here again on 4/26/2019 and it was the worst Thai food I ever had. Absolutely no flavor other than grease. Don’t ever go here.
Stood for minutes without acknowledgment from staff. They were rude and the place was dirty. I’m a new resident in Covington and never coming here again.
A great place. It's one of my favorite places to eat. They have really good food, and it's rarely crowded.
Tasty Thai and popular.
I went to Benjarong quite a few years ago and I liked it but now that I've gone to more Thai restaurants, I have to say Benjarong wouldn't be my first choice. The customer service was really lacking. The waiter was very unfriendly (borderline rude), she filled our glasses often but she never once asked us how our meal was or smiled. The wooden tables were chipped and the menus were dirty and old looking. Not a good first impression. The food itself was tasty but I've had better.
Great dishes, quiet atmosphere.
Delicious!
We were sat down quickly and got our food in a timely manner and it was good food. After our food was dropped off we were not checked on again. We needed more water, boxes and the check. After 20 minutes I finally walked up to the counter to ask.
This use to be a very nice place to eat an or order food but the last couple of times..they have been very slow with taken orders I had to wait almost 10 min to place an order over the phone I was very close to hanging up..but once I arrived at the Benjamin Thai after 35 min thats how long I was told the order would take I had to wait another 10 min to pay for the order and Benjarong was not busy so I'm not sure what's going on with Benjarong it could be staffing I'm not sure but this has happened twice..in the last Month..
Extremely dirty and when my friend got his plate their was something black on it, she used her nails to scrub it off and then served his food on it. She never asked how hit we wanted our food and also the water tastes of iron, and our glass was dirty. To top it off the chicken was extremely fatty and we both became sick after eating there. Be warned of highly Uncleanliness practices. Also she
Favorite Thai. Lunch combo before 2pm is best.
Love eating here
Thai tea is over priced! Customer service is great but i wish they would lower their thai tea cost!
Great food nice atmosphere.
Excellent food
Food was not worth the money
Best thai food around.
Lo máximo
Always good and fresh in Covington but the maple valley one is terrible.
Ugh, all food I ate was the most bland, lukewarm, over priced and our whole group was shivering it was so cold in there. Over all a very disappointing food experience.
The service was great, came in for lunch. The food however was over priced, and under spiced. Got the Tom yum, pad Thai, and red curry. All pretty bland.
Do not recommend.
Have been there many times and brought family when visiting. Enjoy the Laab, Papaya friend rice and the Chicken Curry. I think anything on their specialties menu is good.
Very good Thai food.
Generous size portions with enough to take home for a second meal. Tasty.
This establishment must be under new ownership and it's really gone down hill. The last couple of visits, the service help is different, dishes have been filthy. Lipstick on the glasses. When we've pointed it out, the waitperson tries to tell us it's something else.
They only staff one wait person who has to prep the spring rolls, take phone calls and wait tables. She seems overwhelmed. I could go into more details but will try to keep this short. We won't be returning.
