For about 15 minutes absolutely nothing no water no greetings until I went up to the takeout counter and inform them that we had been sitting there at which time the look on their face told me they had absolutely no clue that no one has taken care of us. After that it got better. The food was phenomenal very fresh, hot, with a great unique taste. Hope to try it in the new future when I'm craving Thai food again.

Here's my simple rating for this restaurant. Food taste and quality - B+, The food is very good, everything in my dish was fresh and proper.. Service - A, The people working at this restaurant are excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Portion size B, portion size is good. Not as large as you might find at other Thai restaurants, but I think the quality makes up for that fact. Parking and atmosphere A, parking is ample in. The atmosphere is excellent. Good experience for for children to adults. Overall, this restaurant is an A.

On previous occasions (we had visited “Rose Thai” several times in the past few years) we received good tasty food and service that was consistent with the recommendations we'd received from others and online. However, this time around, while the service was good, our food was not.

We each had a spring roll to begin with (serving consists of a single spring roll at $1.99). While they were suitably crisp and golden on the outside, the filling was mushy and not a pleasant flavor, as if it had been cooked from frozen.

The Pad Kee Mau with beef (dinner-sized portion) was extremely disappointing. It used the wrong kind of noodles--the narrower & smaller rice noodles, not the really thick & extra-wide kind that have a nice soft texture, and they were a little too firm, so they were swimming around in copious amounts of sauce that was very salty and tasted mostly of soy sauce. It's quite possible that other Thai restaurants also serve those regular noodles in this dish, but this is first of numerous times I've ordered Pad Kee Mau across the country where they didn't use the extra large/wide noodles.

My wife's food (a dish containing chicken with nuts) was also dominated by a 'soy' flavor, and too much salt.

I hope this was a one-time anomaly (a stand-in chef for the holiday period?), but we won't be taking the chance again, I'm afraid.

The service was good, and the ambience/atmosphere, and cleanliness of the restaurant and restrooms were also good. I particularly like having the menu visible through the glass table top, and the nice tablecloths and goblet water glasses are a nice touch.

Rose Thai is absolutely amazing. The staff are incredible. They're helpful, friendly, and always give their best effort to make your experience great. The food is flavorful, and delicious. Just a wonderful experience every time.

We have been going to this place for over a year now the server is super nice. The service is great even though she is the only server we always get their F2 and their egg roll is amazing if you go at lunch they have rice soup which is good too best thai I have tried.

I came in with all my grandkids for my granddaughters UT graduation and I couldn’t believe the waitress flat out told us to go elsewhere!! What has come of customer service! Do not reward this restaurant for their absolutely horrible manners and disrespect!!! Never again!

The experience at Rose Thai restaurant was incredibly disappointing. Upon arrival, we were met with an exceedingly rude waitress who bluntly informed us that our food would take over an hour, and suggested we dine elsewhere. Despite our decision to stay, we were left waiting for 20 minutes without any service. When the waitress eventually returned, her demeanor remained brash and dismissive, making us feel unwelcome and undervalued as customers. As a result, we made the decision to leave without receiving any assistance or enjoying a meal. The lack of professionalism and courtesy from the staff greatly tarnished what could have been an enjoyable dining experience at Rose Thai restaurant.

Very horrible service.. first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt.. their waitress had a horrible attitude.. and the food took forever.. but the second time around.. the same attitude from their waitress and they told us one hour for the food.. without any apologies and told us just go somewhere else if we didn't like it.. they have boxes all over their restaurant.. very unorganized.. bathrooms are nasty.. owners must be cheap and don't care... because it shows in their effort and attitudes

Picked up my carry out order this evening. I've always loved Rose Thai. But I was so disappointed today, came home and there was hardly anything in the container but sauce. Very little potatoes hardly any chicken the rice is hard. Very disappointing

A really great experience! The atmosphere is calm, and inviting. Our waitress was fantastic and the food was fresh and full of flavor. All the Thai spices were on point! You could taste the Basil, Ginger, and Thai Chili Pepper. This place is a gem and staple for Thai cuisine in the area.

I am on a mission to have Pad Thai in every city I visit. I have now done this in over 50 cities. NOTHING compares to Rose Thai Pad Thai. It is simply the best. Always fresh, delicious, with the perfect amount of spice. Their egg rolls are also to die for.

Wanted to try this place but we were never greeted at the door. :(

Took 10 minutes for someone to seat us. (No greeter). Then it took almost an hour for the entrees to come out. No contact at all from the server during the entire time.

Great pad thai and wonderful service. Able to accommodate large groups when reservations are made.

The name has Rose in it but the chicken basil was definitely not rosey. Just chicken not diced with bell peppers and onions. No basil! No bamboo! No chop sticks and no more visits from me!

Super yummy food! I ordered a Thai Iced Tea and the Gang Gai Curry, both were delicious, very flavorful! The staff was very friendly, but make sure you get there early enough, the dining room and wait list fills up fast.

With one exception, the food is always excellent here, and on that one occasion when it wasn't, I was offered a new dish, free of charge so no harm, no foul. I always make sure to tip their overworked employees well, they could probably use some more weight staff. For dessert try their outstanding homade coconut ice cream!

We have been here several times and the food is always very good and they make sure you have enough rice. If you like Thai iced tea I'd highly suggest the coffee as well, it is a bit more bitter but is very good.

Used to love this place but now they do anything to avoid actually serving you. You literally cannot get ahold of them lol. A business without a phone and a restaurant that doesn't take orders. Brilliant business plan!

Mick is a thief. He took money and did not provide the food paid for. 10/10 would suggest doing business with honest people.

This is a carryout restaurant and I used them twice on a recent trip. The food was excellent and it is rare that I order the exact same dish twice in a row. The Tom yum soup as well as the veggie entree were both great. Enough options for a vegetarian. Their phone line can sometimes get busy and so ordering can be a challenge as I found out the third time I wanted to order food.

I like the food here, but the service is really hot or miss. In my most recent visit we arrived at 620 and were seated by 630. We didn't receive food we ordered until 745.

Chicken Pad Thai is a solid performer, spring roll appetizer was delicious. The service for lunch was stellar, my drink was never empty. My favorite Thai restaurant in the area.

I got the red curry with vegetables, and added tofu. It was delicious. The red curry sauce was on point, and everything tasted like it had been freshly prepared. Nice mix of vegetables. Service was also great, and nice ambiance.

Good food, friendly staff but service is alittle slow

We found our Thai place!! We are newer to the area and were spoiled with excellent Asian places where we used to live. It took a little searching, but as soon as we tasted our dishes, we knew we had found a new Thai restaurant home. It does take a little longer to be served (our waitress said staffing is a challenge) but the dishes are well worth the wait!

As a Thai myself, I can assure you that the food here is good!
Their green curry is awesome, does not taste watery and bland like some restaurants we ran into.

You don't come to Rose Thai for the service or wait times. Expect to be waiting at least 45 minutes for your order. Also don't expect the wait staff to be Applebee's super flair bubbly. Put down your American preconceptions and just enjoy the company you came with!

This was our first visit, BUT NOT MY LAST! I loved the food and our waitress was awesome! Because I hadn't had Thai in some time I asked her , her favorite, she suggested a curry coconut chicken dish. I normally don't order curry, not a fan , but I ordered it, and the Pad Thai ( chix) both med high spice..and my husband orders a beef dish with curry and veggies also med high spice. All dishes are served with white rice unless u specify fried rice, so we did one bowl fried, one bowl white. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE CHICKEN CURRY DISH! The pad Thai was good, BUT THE CHICKEN CURRY HAD LEVELS OF FLAVOR. Here's the funny part, it wasn't that spicy. Two days later I ate my leftovers for lunch with my husband, as he ate his, and we both looked at each other and said WELL NOW ITS HOT!!! LOL BUT STILL DELISH!!

Hours are sometimes inconvenient how they close 2ish and open back up at 4:30pm.
Some nights it can be busy with a 45 minute wait, but for good reason.

They changed the coconut shrimp sauce to a sweet and spicy sauce so I'm leaving the bad review I'm hoping somebody freaking has the same thing so please everybody leave a bad review on this restaurant so that we can get them to add the coconut shrimp sauce back

First time at this restaurant. I like the decor. The service was slow ,but the food was great and the server was really nice. She was the only one working the floor and the place got busy. Not her fault. Good food, fair pricing and nice portion size. I recommend for sure.

Went in for Dine-in, food took way too long. Spent 2 hours just waiting for 2 dishes for my sister and I. There was only one waitress working three tables, but there shouldn't be any excuse for the chefs to take 2 hours to cook up some Curry fried rice. Went in around 5:40 PM and got out near 9pm. I basically spent my entire night at this restaurant.

Incredibly disappointing. I know everywhere is short staffed, and I am not sure this is the case here. But at 7pm on a Saturday I went here to eat. The two of us stood with about 7-10 other people inside the doors. Most of the people had been there before we walked in. No one came at any point to greet us. No hostess, bartender, server, cook, or anyone, the staff kept telling each other about the growing and shrinking group of people waiting to be checked in. No one came. We waited for about 20 minutes before we left. Some others left before us, some stayed after we left.

If it is a 2 hour wait, just let me know. Don’t make me stand for 20 minutes without telling me. That doesn’t make sense. Why are they avoiding people coming in when there is a wait? Have they been yelled at by too many people?

NEVER AGAIN. This restaurant thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to make you wait over an hour for your food (while they serve tables that came in after you)!The waitress got an attitude when I had the nerve to ask what the holdup was. When the food finally came it was mediocre. Did I mention the bad service also?

Been coming to Rose Thai for about 10 years and the food taste exactly the same way it did the first time I came. I live in Florida and this is one of the only restaurants I crave for. The coconut shrimp is to die for and the chicken pad Thai is the best I have ever had in my life. Everything I have ever ordered is amazing.

Update. I recently visited this restaurant and they changed the coconut shrimp sauce. I am beyond upset. Change it back to get the 5 stars back.

This was my first time trying Thai food. I enjoyed the meal very much. The variety of offerings was great. The servers however were disappointing. Not very attentive to our tables needs. Seemed to be due to inexperience.

Tom yum soup was great. Broth had flavors of vegetables, tomato, and spicy chilies. Lots of chicken, vegetables, especially water chestnuts for crunch.
Pad Soon Sen is glass noodles with vegetables and chicken. The balance between the three was perfect. Very tasty sauce, asked for spicy and it was just what I wanted. I was there at noon, only a few customers. Service was fast and very friendly. Atmosphere is perfect, elegant but casual, Asian touches put you in the mood as you enter. Wish I lived closer.

First time having Thai cuisine and this place lives up to the positive reviews. I had the Pad Woon Sen and got it medium spice level and it had a comfortable heat that allowed you to enjoy the food but not be distracted by the heat. The chicken satay with peanut sauce was delicious.

In my 15 plus experiences with this restaurant, I have had no problems with my food and it has always been delicious. Their pad Thai is on point and well seasoned. The staff is always diligent about ensuring that the food is spiced to your desired level of spice. They have great spicing options including a very mild no spice option.

Rose Thai is absolutely my favorite place. The pad Thai is to die for, it’s the only thing I order from here. My husband orders other dishes and is amazed. Best noodles in the world. We live in Ann Arbor and this place makes the hour drive WORTH IT! I’m dying to know what is in the sweet and sour sauce. It’s out of the world incredible. I find myself licking the sweet and sour bowl down to the last drop every time!
