Thai Spice is a fusion of family and flavors, from every part of Thailand. We are so excited to share homemade recipes with you! Dine in or Carry out, we strive to serve you the best Thai food, with the freshest ingredients from our local proveyers and markets.
We are located off Mason-Montgomery Road, in the strip mall in front of the mason Walmart, across from Fox and Hound.
This was our first time dining experience. The waiter said that food will take atleast 40 min to arrive. The restaurant was pretty packed on a weekend night. The guy told us that they were lean staffed, so he was only one juggling around. I was amazed to hear customizing options available for vegan/vegetarian. The food took lot of time as told to us before. The portions are big and the food was very authentic and tasty! My yellow curry custom made for vegetarian was too good. So was cashew nut wok & curry entree was superb! Must try this vegetarian friendly Thai restaurant in Mason!!
If you are in the Greater Cincinnati area and are looking for the best Thai food, you need to head to Thai Spicy! This small, cozy place delivers some of the best Thai cuisine you'll ever taste. We visit multiple times a month, and the quality never disappoints.
Two must-try dishes are the Crispy Pad Thai, which has the perfect blend of crunchy noodles, fresh vegetables, meat (if you prefer), and that authentic Thai flavor. Another favorite is the Green Curry — rich, creamy, and packed with vibrant spices and fresh ingredients, making it a standout.
The service is exceptional as well, with Nooni and Nate always offering warm hospitality and going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. However, do keep in mind that this place gets crowded quickly. If you’re late, you might have to wait 30-40 minutes for your food. But trust me, the wait is worth it for the deliciousness that follows! # Thai # Awesome Food
Simply amazing food!!
A friend who has been to Thailand many times for work suggested this small restaurant as the most authentic Thai in our area, so we were excited to try it out
It seems to be run by local Thai nationals, largely a family run business.
Truly excellent food! VERY good!
Attentive service, though they are stretched being a small place.
"Nate" was simply an amazing part of the experience, sharing all of the differences between meals and flavors. His recommendations were spot on and a huge help! (He obviously loves what he does and has taken the time to learn and love the food!)
Food was served hot and fresh, in plates that kept the food hot!
The heat levels are real, and we really enjoyed this! (Don't like wimpy dishes that we expect to be hot!) Average people might need to TRUST their heat levels!
Because they are small, they actually began turning people away when the expected wait time became 1 hr. After eating only half our meal, we both agreed that we would gladly wait for an hour and just bring books or a game! (I have NEVER said this in my life!)
On Friday at 6 pm, we ordered the Panang Curry (heat 4), Pad Thai (heat 3), and Tom Yum Ramen soup (heat 4)
We also had extra ground peppers brought, but we did not really need them!
We will definitely be back!
This small place offers the most delicious Thai food, flavors are so tropical and fresh, the soup comes with fresh ingredients and the perfect scent. The fried rice with pineapple was good, however I think it doesn't need the raisins.
Last, the deserts, it was stiky rice, delicious 🫠🥰 The mango was OMG so good and sweet.
The attention and service was great, the little girl and chef are so warm and sweet. And the place is really welcoming you since the first time!
Someone was tosiendo, OMG 😱 🔥 Go home jajajajaja and get well, then enjoy outside! Please
I had an incredible dining experience at Thai Spicy! The food was absolutely delicious—full of bold flavors and perfectly cooked. From the aromatic curries to the fresh, vibrant salads, every dish was a treat for the taste buds. The service was equally outstanding; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. Highly recommend Thai Spicy if you're in the mood for fantastic Thai food with top-notch service!
I absolutely love eating here. I've ordered to go many times and always have received great tasting food. Today was my first time dining in and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great. Overall 10/10 I highly recommend this restaurant and I look forward to continuing to come back for more!
Had an amazing time at Thai Spicy! The food was super flavorful—everything from the curries to the fried rice was spot on. The service was just as great; the staff were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. The vibe was relaxed and cozy, perfect for a laid-back dinner. Definitely recommend checking out Thai Spicy if you’re in the mood for tasty Thai food and awesome service!
First and foremost, I must commend the service—I give a solid 5 stars to the gentleman who served us. He was incredibly friendly and had a genuinely pleasant demeanor. As for the food, it was rather satisfactory. While I wouldn't go as far as to say that the green papaya salad matched its Thai counterpart, I found the soups to be particularly delightful! In fact, I was so engrossed in the flavors that I completely forgot to capture some pictures at the start of our meal! The interior of the establishment is tastefully designed, with a minimalistic and pristine ambiance that adds to the overall dining experience.
I was referred here by a friend.Oh my. The flavors were unbelievably tasty and service was 5 star

Great food, but who doesn’t have lunch hours on a Saturday!? Lost my business.
Awesome Thai food.
Small Thai restaurant in Mason but great food. Basil fried rice and spicy eggplant with chicken are our fav.
The staff is extremely friendly and makes the experience delightful.
Check the hours before you go as they have modified timings.
First time here. My Spicy Basil Fried Rice was outstanding.

Very tasty fried rice! I like the mild sweetness!
Very good food and great service.
Love their chicken pad thai ,fried or not! The soups are wonderful too.
Always great food and Nate is best server!
Real authentic Thai food
Delicious, spicy, if you want it and great verity. It is always freshly made. Highly recommended.

My wife had mentioned seeing the restaurant while shopping. We decided to get carryout to give it a try. I am pretty picky about my Thai food, but have to say, this was DELICIOUS (Pad Thai) !! We will be back.
Food was delightful servers were knowledgeable, polite and prompt not my first time there and definitely will go again to try more dishes.
Pad Thai was stale, papaya salad was not fresh and overall it wasn’t a good experience.
My friend and I had the most unpleasant experience on Friday. They are terribly understaffed. The person who sat us down didn't mention the wait time. We ordered a fried rice and red curry. When we didn't get the food after 45 minutes, we were told that the wait time was 40 minutes and it will take another 10 minutes. After 12 minutes they said another 10 minutes. We didn't have time to go to another place, so we asked to make the meal to go. We finally got the food after another 13 minutes of wait.
I don't blame the servers. It is on the management to add additional staff during rush hours
Been a regular here for a couple years now. Not sure why it took me so long to write a review. Best Thai food I’ve ever had, hands down. All that is needed to be said. Everything about this place is a 5/5.
Best Thai food I've had in a long time. Server was very friendly and helpful, especially with accomidating a gluten allergy.
Great place for food and the workers are incredibly nice. Totally recommend this place
Not bad but not spicy

From an unassuming location in front of a Walmart, you wouldn’t expect much. Yet, my experience at Thai Spicy has left me completely blown away. From the flavorful appetizers of Tom Kha soup and green papaya salad, to the delectable entrees of crispy duck and pad Thai, to the perfectly sweet desserts of mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream, everything was delightful. The flavors are uniquely yummy, even when compared to other Thai locations in the city. Truly a gem of Mason, and one of the best Asian restaurants in Cincinnati. Plus, the staff are polite and warm-hearted! Could not recommend this restaurant enough.
Very good experience. The Tom Yum was great and Classic Pad Thai was awesome. Good portion sizes and full of flavor. We would eat here again.
The hours on the website say they're open until 8:30. It's 7:45 and we just drove over. They're closed, tried calling. no answer. Very disappointing because this is one of my favorite places to eat but the second time that this has happened to me.
Busy place but the EXCELLENT food explained why they were so busy!
Hot Basil with chicken was very good. Spice lvl was perfect. Spring rolls were just right. Staff was so friendly event though you could tell they were very busy. Definitely will go again.
Every time we order food form this place we never disappointed. Food is delicious and service is great.
Our takeout was good. They had forgotten to pack our spring rolls in our takeout. However, when we let them know the issue they worked very quickly to fix it. Top professionalism!
I could eat here every day. Everything is great and the family that owns the restaurant and the staff are all super people and have become friends. They can provide everything from 0 spice to 4+ if you like. A local family run business that you look forward to going to. Love everything on the menu. Come early because the take out folks tend to overrun the place as the evening moves along.
This is by far the best Thai Restaurant my family and I have ever been to. We have travelled from Louisville and it’s worth the drive! Please stop by and see for yourself how amazing the food, service is!!! We will definitely be returning!
They have a great pineapple fried rice, and staff are friendly
I absolutely love eating here. I've ordered to go many times and always have received great tasting food. Today was my first time dining in and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great. Overall 10/10 I highly recommend this restaurant and I look forward to continuing to come back for more!
The food was delicious, however, small portions on green curry, trays were only filled about halfway on the curry side, and their medium spicy should be called mild, while the spicy or hot is actually closer to medium.. my family was very disappointed in the green curry takeout from this establishment. It WAS good but again, disappointing portions and inaccurate spiciness made us upset with this order, especially considering the price. Unfortunately there might not be an alternative in this location but I hope I can find one and possibly update this review later to let people know. (Also, would have been nice if they bagged the trays individually instead of all together. The way they stacked them made them fall over while driving and made a small mess.)
I had the pork gyoza, and beef pad woon sen with the spice level set for 3-hot.
Overall the staff was super friendly and attentive and the food had me wanting more because it was so good. Quick cook time, the only thing I would do in the future is to have the meal even more spicy. I would definitely recommend this place.
Always my favorite 😋
A wonderful small "hole in the wall" restaurant with very good Thai food. We normally get Bangkok noodles and either green curry or vegetable Thai spicy. Service is excellent and the food quality is very consistent. One of our favorite Thai restaurants in the Mason and West Chester area.
The atmosphere would be improved about 1000% if they would turn down that dang country music.
Food and service were very good.
Delicious food and great service! Hand made spring rolls, Tom yum soups, wide noodle dishes like Bangkok noodle are highly recommended!
Thai Spicy is the best Thai food in Mason. Fresh ingredients, generous portions and the waitstaff are always friendly!
We are Thai Connoisseurs, hands down Thai Spicy deserves 1,000 stars, for excellent taste, quality and kind service all of which are consistently well above and beyond the rest . I would definitely recommend Thai Spicy to anyone that loves quality and quantity as they both are met . Often times having plenty to share . We have tried different curry dishes, & noodle dishes at various spice levels, and they too were excellent. When they did offer sushi 3 yrs ago or so that was also delicious. I would definitely recommend this Thai restaurant to anyone looking for excellency.
Great good and service !
My favorite restaurant in Mason
Nate was excellent, his service and his smile. His personality are above reproach.
Best Thai food in the town..
Everything that we tried so far is excellent, beyond amazing.
Do try their curries, flavors are authentic and the food tastes fresh.
You’ll get great customer service and delicious food..
It’s a nice clean restaurant with welcoming staff.
Would highly recommend it.
Thai Spicy is the real deal! I’ve tried many dishes, and they’ve all been wonderful. However, something about their yellow curry with vegetables is just AMAZING! I get my spice level of 1 and it’s plenty for me. Their vegetables are always SO fresh and the service is great. Portions are big, this is a lunch! Their Thai tea is strong, but also very delicious. You will not be disappointed at Thai spicy!
In my opinion, best Thai food near Mason!
The Chicken Pad Thai is unbelievable
The best Thai food in the area. Great friendly service. Highly recommended to eat here.
Ever since Budina's owners retired and sold the place almost 3 years ago, I've been trying all the Thai joints everywhere to try to find a replacement for their pad thai. This place comes the closest to it.
Traveling from Singapore. Pad Thai and papaya salad were really well made.
Basil fried rice was too good and spring rolls was okay. The portion size was good but felt a bit high in pricing. However, I would try other menu items too.
5 stars, every time. Pom rak Thai pet MAK mak
Great Gem in Mason! Not a chain sole owner really enrolled the food, good service, small and intimate! Will go back!
The menu here mostly sticks to the Thai essentials. I wish there were more app options; overall, the menu is a little less extensive than the average local Thai spot. The restaurant name has "sushi" on the sign, but there was no sushi on the menu. I ordered the Thai ginger shrimp, and it was pretty unexciting in flavor -- it did not have the bright and strong flavors you'd expect from Thai food. Medium spice was pretty mild for me. The online carryout order gave me a 90+ minute ETA; I instead went to the restaurant, it was mostly empty, and my food was ready in 15ish minutes. Kind of a bummer that online would make me wait so much longer. You can tell they know and love their regular customers here, and they're run by some nice folks. I'll eventually come back and give them another try and maybe be inclined to update my review, but for now, I had a 3-star experience at-best.
Food is delicious and the staffs are friendly but the wait is too long-usually over an hour before you get your food. Don’t go if you’re hangry.
Long long waiting time. I never ever wanna go there again. Ordered at 7:30PM and food came at 8:40. Terrible service. I didn’t see any where this much slow service in entire Cincinnati.
Great food. Long wait for food. Server good and helpful.
Alex and Noonie were some of the kindest, sweetest, professional and caring staff I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. They were gentle and made you feel like family from the moment you arrived. My fiance & I dined in at 7:00 on 5/12/23 and let me just say it was pure magic. The food was hot, flavorful, the perfect amount of spice. My fiance had the Teriayki beef and rice and I had the mango curry with the mango sticky rice. I've not had Thai food in close to 14 years and it almost made me cry. It was pure bliss. Every bite was better than the last. I also had the Thai Ice tea. wowzer....that was GRAND! Can't wait to go back. They have a lifelong customer in me.
The mango curry was PERFECT! I would recommend starting with a 1 if you're not into spices the 0 I heard from others doesn't have enough flavor.
Thanks Thai Spicy for blessing Mason, OH with your presence!
The taste was alright. Staff was very friendly!
Visited Thai Spicy for the 2nd time yesterday. The first time had Spring Rolls, Tom Kha, and Basil Pork Fried Rice. Yesterday had Tom Yum and Pad Thai. During my career I have traveled from coast to coast on a regular basis and have eaten in Thai restaurants in nearly every city I visit. I can confidently recommend this restaurant as the overall best in flavor, freshness, and service that I have experienced.
Nate is the best! Best pad Thai around!!!! Yum!!!
Probably the best Thai food in the area. Servers are super nice and attentive even when swamped. Great choices at very reasonable prices. The apps are crisp and fresh. Start with spicy level 3 unless you want fairly mild. Awesome Thai iced tea. Can be super quiet and reflective or a bundle of energy and vibrant. Best fun with friends. Highly recommended for the terrific food. Can't say enough about the service. Will definitely be returning again soon!
Very good food. clean restaurant and friendly server.
Best Thai food I’ve had in a while. The Thai spicy noodle dish is a must. I got a spice level 5 which was just right for me but get a level 3 if you’re not able to handle much spice.
Great food and great service! Outstanding portions of perfectly executed Thai cuisine!
Delicious
Dine in and waited an hour for our food. On line and take out orders took precedence. The food is very good. Suggest you call ahead on weekends.
Got the pad thai and drunken noodles with no spice and it was still very flavorful and amazing
We love this place! Always great food and service!
We ordered online using the Catana site and were quoted a 40-minute pickup time. The food was ready at the designated time and the staff was friendly at pickup. We ordered:
1. Fried spring rolls - these were great and the dipping sauce complemented the roll.
2. Thai fried rice with shrimp - was prepared well and tasty.
3. Yellow curry - this is my go-to dish at Thai restaurants and I greatly enjoyed it. We ordered spice level 2 which is perfect for those that dabble with spicy flavors.
4. Panang curry - this dish was pretty good not my favorite.
Very good selection, service, portion size and taste. Will be going again.
Originally we were going to give it 3.5 stars with a second shot. It was a very busy Friday night, and we were very patient and in no hurry. I got the pinapple fried rice, a dish I'd never had before, but seemed like something I could share with my 10 month old.
It didn't taste right, and that should have been a warning. I told myself it was because I'd never had curried fried rice.
I was woken in the middle of the night to give it back, spending hours worshipping the porcelain gods until my body was certain every speck was ejected from my stomach. I spent all Saturday in the bathroom.
Thankfully my 10 month old didn't eat much, but her stomach hurt all weekend.
Will not be returning, and it will be a long time until I have Thai again, and possibly even rice.
Best Thai food ever. Been there twice and the food is amazing. Have tried basil fried rice, green curry, teriyaki chicken, and few other dishes all are really good.
Would definitely be back and recommend.
Amazing food. Best thai restaurant in the town! Welcoming staff, little small space for dining but really like this place. Reserving table is best option rather walk-in.
Everything about Thai Spicy is perfect! The red curry is the best I've had in Cincinnati, the service is extremely friendly and attentive! The atmosphere is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. Cannot recommend Thai Spicy enough! If you get the red curry, ask for extra eggplant, it's the best part of the dish!
This place is a hidden gem! Very good food, quick service and amazing staff. Couldn't ask for more!
Hadnt had sushi in a while and wanted to give thai another try... shouldnt have did so during lunch i guess... got there closer to 1pm... 4 people came in a while after me, all had got their food before i got mine. Sushi came 30 mins into me being seated and i ended up having to take my pad tai to go since i would only have had 5 mins to try to shovel it down... such a disappointment
Generally, a pretty good place for dinner. However, the last order is quite soon around 8:30 and it takes a while for them to make it. Otherwise its amazing
Some of the best red curry I’ve had!
Absolutely wonderful food! The freshness and flavors were smacking! The sushi was great as well! Definitely going back!
Beat Thai restaurant in Cincinnati. I love the Pineapple fried rice here. I feel they are short staffed, so keep in mind you have order ahead. But the food taste is excellent!
Came here in 2020 & thought it was very special. Finally convinced my wife to give it a try. I got the Mango Curry Chicken & my wife got two orders of Sushi (salmon & yellowtail tuna). She thought the sushi was excellent but this time my Mango Curry was just ok. While the MC was tasty it was just very lacking in stuff such as chicken, mango, carrots, onions etc. Don’t recall this as an issue before so maybe this was just an error. Will try again & if it’s the standard I will re-review & not return.
10/8/2022 we were supposed to go to Longhorn but the wait was 1 hour and we decided to drive around and stumbled upon this gem! Thai Spicy is a must to dine in or delivery! The food is delicious and very fresh! We will be coming to this establishment when we feel the need for some spicy food. And the sushi…fresh and delicious!
The food was very good. We had gyoza and spring rolls to start along with edamame. All three were prepared nicely, the spring rolls were crunchy with a good chili sauce and the gyoza were seared nicely. The main dish of Masaman Curry Chicken was good… but could have been better. They loaded it with onions and the garnish was crumbled peanuts. It’s much better with cashews in the actual dish since the masaman already has a lot of peanut overtones. The sauce was pretty thin, which is normal for that dish but it was really thin. That all said- the flavor profile was very good and despite those few minor issues the flavor was great. Definitively worth trying!
Came here for the first time during the lunch rush on a weekday. It’s a popular place but food came decently fast and was super fresh! Got the drunken noodles and the flavor was superb. Noodles were excellent too. A good portion for the price. I’m kind of a wimp with spice so spicy level 2 (out of 4) was perfectly enjoyable for me. The staff was very kind and helpful. I’m so happy I found this place and I definitely recommend it/will be back!
Food and service were both excellent! We will definitely be back often!
Absolute best Thai food around!!
My daughter and I went right in the middle of lunch hour, with many people in the smallish restaurant on lunch break. Even so, service was great: fast, with cheerful servers. We both had vegetable spring roll appetizers, which were terrific. I also had shrimp tempura appetizer which also was about the best I've ever had. My daughter had another vegetarian app, which I can't remember. Ordering all appetizers made for a somewhat expensive lunch (worth it!), but the regular lunch meals were priced fairly. Would definitely recommend. We'll be back!
Really good food, but it seems like the kitchen is having trouble keeping up with front end demand. Front end staff are great, and the prices are good.
My husband & I consistently get take out from here. Food is good and portions are usually great until recently. It’s very disappointing as we really loved this place.
First time to visit Thai Spicy and definitely not the last. I am sure to be back! It is one of the (if not THE) best Thai restaurants in the area. Love their pad thai, tom yum and chicken satay. And the dessert (mango sticky rice) is amazingly fresh and succulent. The fried banana is good (a bit greasy to my taste) but still quite good with the ice cream. Great presentation too. The reason for 1 less star? It took >25 mins before our 1 entree/person orders for a group of 3 were served (and less than a handful of tables were occupied at that time). 🙁
Loved the chicken pad thai and sushi.
The wait was long. Our first time there. They were short staffed. But, had a great night! The staff was extremely friendly. Most importantly, the food was so very good. I will be returning.
Good food and service. Kind of weird that they also sell sushi. Their food is a bit too sweet for my taste. Always order the spiciest for a more authentic flavor!
Food is life. This food gives me that happiness.
Their drunkn noodles are delicious!
This location offers good Thai food at a decent price. My favorites include basil fried rice, Yellow curry, and pineapple fried rice, in that order.
We ate here tonight with some friends for the first time. The food was really good. We will eat there again.
Great Thia. Sushi was also very good.
Great place especially if you have people in your party with dietary restrictions (i.e. vegetarian, gluten free). My friend has a serious gluten allergy and our server Nate was very accommodating and patient while helping them find the right choice.
Recommendations:
Miso soup
Thai spice roll
Asparagus tempura roll
Sweet potato (add spicy mayo)
*gluten free soy sauce available
Food was terrible. Greasy Very little Chicken. Asked for spicy and it was not at all. Gave me an upset stomach. Overpriced. Garbage. Better off at McDonald’s.
Crispy pad Thai was super good! I got it extra spicy and it was perfect
The best sushi in the area I’ve had so far, and reasonably priced/great portion size. The staff was super friendly as well. Will be added to our restaurant rotation.
Great sushi dragon roll. Excellent Thai Spicy pork. Great service. Will be back for sure!
One of the best Thai places in town
Their pineapple fried rice is awesome!! Same with Red, masamam curry . Place gets pretty busy and expect slight delay with orders, but the taste is worth the wait👍
Great sushi and various Thai dishes...byob/wine
4 chefs working back...always busy for dine in and takout...try it!!!!
Freshest salad this side of Cincinnati
Really good Asian food. Hits the right spot. Friendly staff even for takeaways.
I had the chicken curry it was amazing, I love spicy food I was not disappointed 😋 Wonderful and friendly staff also💗
Nice, quiet, and small restaurant with a super friendly and helpful staff. Had pork red curry (spice level 3.) Was the best curry I've ever had, might be too spicy for some but was perfect for me. Fried banana was a good finisher as well.
Great food here and service!
Been there twice .
Food is great but high wait time
Ordered pad thai, peanuts, lime. Pad thai was very good, spice level perfect based on level chosen(level 3). Only issue was price $14 for a take out lunch is ~ 2x what I would expect to pay. Hopefully they will adjust prices for a specific lunch menu.
I love Thai and most in this area are very blan IMO. Usually have to go to Blue Ash (Basil Thai and Bangkok Terrace) for the nearest decent Thai food. Thai Spicy is fantastic and right up there with them. Service is great very friendly owners and staff. Good portions and fair prices.
Great food and excellent service. Quality and quantity is very good
Great food, friendly atmosphere, everything that I have ordered is always very good-highly recommend this restaurant-my husband and I love it
We recently discovered this gem and are disappointed we didn't find it sooner. We have been twice so far and everything has been absolutely fantastic! Ingredients are fresh and the flavors really shine through. We've tried 4 dishes thus far and plan on giving the whole menu a go. Nice to finally have a Thai restaurant back in Mason!
We didn't eat because being 2 Seniors on a budget we thought it was too expensive for our budget. But I've heard its good
Great Pad Thai!
The service here is excellent and very friendly. If you have never had Thai food will suggests some nice dishes to try..
This place is insanely good, Crispy Pad Thai is super weird in a great way. Also try the garlic pork dumplings. You will not disappointed.
Got take away. Ordered both dishes with shrimp which is $2 extra. Came home to find the pad thai had chicken. They refunded our money but the pad thai was not good any way. Smelly and very eggy tasting. The guy who admittedly messed up our order was also very slow in attending me. While I was trying to pay for my food.. he was answering phones.. leaving me hanging to go clean tables and seat people. Pretty disappointed by the service and the taste of the food. For the prices.. the food should be much better.
Amazing every time! We look forward to their basil fried rice. A must try!
Family owned restaurant. Small cute little place. The Food is very delicious and authentic. Friendly service. I highly recommend this place
Best Thai food that we've had in a long time. The yellow curry us amazing.
