We offering authentic Thai cuisine made with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Come experience a taste of Thailand at Nara Thai!
We came in not expecting much but were blown away from the amazing food! Everything was well balanced and the decor is beautiful. Very peaceful and well put together restaurant! Underrated and deserves more business. Must try the mango sticky rice btw, leaves you wondering if you should order another!
What an utter disappointment. I ordered dinner online while at work, trying this establishment for the first time since its rebranding, and the experience was nothing short of dreadful. It’s hardly surprising that I walked into an entirely vacant restaurant—literally not a single patron at any table—only to discover my food bag placed on a table with no staff present at the register. However, that wasn’t even the worst part. I ordered their flagship dish, Drunken Noodles with Shrimp, opting for the "super spicy" version as indicated on the menu. Eagerly returning to work, I anticipated the promised heat, only to find none whatsoever. It’s not a matter of insufficient spice; there was no spice at all. The shrimp were rubbery and flavourless as was the rest of the dish.
I have attached a copy of the receipt and verified it to ensure there was no mistake on my part—there wasn’t. It's now abundantly clear why the restaurant was devoid of customers at 6:30 pm. Yeah, the experience was so dismal that I have firmly placed this establishment in the "Hell No“ category for future orders. Lesson learned.
*1/8/24. Update in reply to this business' reply:
First and foremost, I must emphasize that I did not make any errors in my order. I explicitly requested a super spicy dish, as clearly indicated on the receipt. It is unacceptable for your establishment to attempt to shift blame onto me or any other customer due to your own shortcomings. Your attempts at deflection and the propagation of falsehoods have only reinforced my decision not to patronize your establishment again.
Go back and view my original feedback, it is evident that you did not merely reduce the spiciness; rather, you omitted it entirely. The shrimp dish I received was utterly devoid of any heat, lacking even a single Scoville unit. Initially, I intended to write a single review and move on, dismissing the incident entirely. However, your response to my concerns, which placed blame on the customer for your mistakes, compels me to take further action. I will now ensure that my experience is shared across all relevant social media platforms and food review applications where your establishment is listed.
Idiots, couldn't just apologize and offer to make things right. Oh well... Yelp here I come next.
Nara Thai restaurant was truly a treat! Every dish was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors, with the perfect balance of spices that showcased authentic Thai cuisine. My husband and I ordered the Red Curry (medium spicy) and the Pad Thai. The food was prepared with such attention to detail that every bite was absolutely delicious. The staff only made the experience better; they were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and patient, always ready to make recommendations or answer questions while I was ordering on the phone. It felt like they genuinely cared about providing a wonderful experience from order to pick-up. I can't wait to come back—this spot has quickly become one of my favorites! P.s. forgot to take picks of our food because it smelled so good in the car, we devoured it the minute we entered the door.
Got food delivered. $100.00 for 2 dinners, rice, was charged $10.00 for one piece of naan bread. Won’t be ordering from them again.
I ordered the steamed shrimp dumplings and the chicken Green Thai Curry. It was amazing! I can’t wait to come back next week! Very friendly atmosphere and friendly staff!
Thank you Nara Thai!
Quite possibly the worst restaurant in New Jersey. The food is bland, usually undercooked & not authentic. I had high hopes when I saw “new ownership” but it’s exactly the same. Gross!
Really good
awesome food!
Delicious wonton soup. Homemade...skin as thin and delicate as it should be. Dessert was good too, we had matcha cheese cake.
absolutely love the curry with duck!

Sorry to say, Pokok was better. The food was lacking flavor and the service was a bit strange. As other reviewers mentioned, they are a bit pushy. They want you to order main course and dessert too quickly and it all comes out before you can finish appetizers. Wanted to like it and support the local business, but unfortunately won’t be back here.
Delicious food and huge portion great service.
The staff were wonderful!!
Thank you for a lovely experience

So great !!!! I will come back again
Enjoyed dinner at Nara Thai! Delicious and flavorful. Restaurant was clean and staff were very friendly. Great atmosphere overall. Look forward to the next visit.
heard they changed the owner. especially their dessert are delicious, and the drinks are also good
My wife and I dined at Nara Thai on Saturday. We had been customers at the former Pokok and did not realize it changed hands. We decided to give the new place a try. Our server was very friendly, but a bit overtop, expecting us to order desert before we even ordered the meal. We weren't very hungry and mainly came for the Tom Yum soup. She started upselling desert appetizers and pushing dinner entrees, as if the restaurant's future was in our hands. We ordered the soup and were convinced to order an appetizer (beef in a stick) and my wife decided to order Pad Thai, figuring she would take most of it home. In less than five minutes, EVERYTHING came out at the same time, something restaurants should never allow to happen. The Tom Yum soup was delicious. The beef on a stick was exceeding tough, but tasty. The Pad Thai was made with Ramen rather than the real Pad Thai noodles. It was tasty but not made with the better-quality noodles. The waitress enticed us to order the cheesecake for desert and said it was massive for sharing. It was pretty small and just enough for a taste. This is not the same quality Thai restaurant that Pokok was. We were left with the impression that the new owners were fighting for survival and that every customer needed to help. The food was good. The staff was friendly, but they need to change their approach to being less salesy and figure out how to serve the food one item at a time.
We just picked up for the first time since the change was made and it was terribly disappointing. We always get the same dishes and the food is not even close to what it was. The massaman curry was flavorless and the panang curry was just a bit better but nowhere near to what it was before. The curries were too thin and had no body compared to what we were used to. In addition, there was an abundance of huge carrots which did not add much to the dishes. The drunken noodles was OK as was the rice dish we got, but it definitely did not leave you wanting for more. The satay chicken was actually very good but the main dishes were a let down. Would I go back again? I think we will give it another try, perhaps not everything is dialed in just yet.
Recently taken over from Pokok, it offers an Asian cuisine that provides a nice change of pace from more common Chinese and Japanese restaurants. It would be greatly improved if it added a vegetarian Pho soup, however.
Food is absolutely delicious. Will definitely come back again.
The services and meals are excellent. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friend.
Food is very good and the portions are good. We ordered online and picked up. Thr food was still warm and we were not hungry afterwards. The only issue is the price, it was a bit pricey as similar places are a few dollars cheaper for the same amount of food.
Would visit again but too often as the prices were a bit high.
Ordered Uber Eats food was 3 out of 10
Food and service was really good! The place looked really nice too. Would recommend
Very nice atmosphere and good quality food. I really like the sectioned tables with privacy curtains. Very happy with the meal and will definitely come again for pad thai

Worst service ever 4 of us order the same thing and even though it was the same thing it all came out different and each one tasted so bad we couldn’t eat it because it was different as advertised on the menu they tried to make excuses for why it all came out different we spend a lot of money and it was not worth it! The lemon grass beef tasted spoil! The lady did not know what she was doing everytime you ask her something she kept saying I need to ask the chef some of the food came out within a few mins and some of us waited 30 mins while some of us were done eating the other was still waiting this place and service is horrible and not worth your time!
Something has changed since the food has taken a turn for the worse
Went in for lunch to go. I ordered shrimp rolls which cost 12.77 and had to wait approximately 25 minutes before it was ready. The receptionist who took my order was very apologetic and kind. When my shrimp rolls came out they were nothing like I ordered. I showed the receptionist or waitress what i ordered and said where's the plum saucr as one of the ingredients in the shrimp roll as well as it said chicken ground chicken, which was not in any of them. She went to the back and told them and she did punch in the right item. I see it on my receipt, but they said they don't get plum sauce, they have never had plum sauce. Why would you have that on the menu if you don't have it. Very dark no soap in the bathroom really not not a good experience. The roles were greasy and tasted terrible. I would never go back to this restaurant again and never recommend it.
We ordered Red thai curry and drunken noodles, they were good but chicken satay was too dry and flavorless.. service was slow and server was confirming about the order again and again… she just couldn’t remember... dont trust the server, do your own math for the final bill..
i recommend this place for food but be patient when you visit this place.. owner is sweet and welcoming…this place is BYOB..
This was a new place to my family and myself, but we all love Thai food. And the food here was great! There are so many options besides the basic pad thai, everything from soups to rice dishes, noodles, etc~ we tried a variety of things but the green curry was my favorite along with the papaya salad. Everything was prepared fresh while being extremely delicious. They were also extremely accommodating with vegetarian options as some of my family members don't eat meat. Tofu and veggies were always available to substitute for meat, which was so refreshing.
Unfortunately, I had to take off stars due to service overall. First, the waitress we had was clearly new and did not look professional for food service at all (i.e. unkept hair, looks like she just came from the gym due to her attire). She was inattentive and was not the best at taking down our order. I don't want to be mean, but it made it hard to order and the wait times were extended due to this. Second, the menu does not list all the ingredients that actually go in the food. I have a pineapple allergy and pineapple was not listed in the green curry or is typically included in green curry. I had a reaction and the waitress did check that indeed there was pineapple in the dish. The chef immediately remade it for me without question, but please ask before you order anything if you have allergies as you won't know just by looking at the menu. And always carry medication like I do just in case of these scenarios.
Overall, great food and this is a nice place to have dinner~
Food was ok but very expensive for the amount of food, I ordered basil fried rice with beef and they gave me chicken instead. I also got 2 boba tea 1 was so bad and tasted like spoiled milk and had no boba in it when I had asked for extra boba and the coconut one just tasted like water. I paid $47 for 2 lunch specials and 2 nasty teas. Will never buy from this place again.
Everything Harwinder Singh said on his review was the same experience was the same experience we had. Uninterested staff, horrible food(squid was the worst), dirty unwashed glasses, no plates/utensils given, and overall horrible experience. Such a shame since the restaurant looked really good. Never again
The location of the restaurant and the ambience is very nice. We were very excited about going to this Thai restaurant. after reaching at the restaurant, it was very nice but the server seems uninterested. We had to wait for no reason there was not many people in the restaurant, but they made us wait. we settle in And order the food they did not even offer us cutlery until asked. Food is not so good but the service was extremely pathetic. The waitress had no interest and she was cleaning and serving at the same time with the same hand without any gloves I would not recommend this place.
Herman was our hibachi chef! Friendly and funny, they say time flies by when you’re having fun, he most definitely made it fun! Recommend!
They have a food truck called Padd Thai at Cook's Market in Rutgers Gardens on Fridays.
Pictured below is their drunken noodles, Thai empanadas, and spring rolls.
Just look at the portions and amount of food!
I had the drunken noodles for an entire week and could not get enough--so flavorful, did not get bored of eating it at all.
Ate from their food truck today and the salad I ordered was very mediocre. I noticed they didn’t have the pricing on the truck. So I went to check my bank account they charged me $17 for a salad!!! Ridiculous. Waste of money. Was very basic. Never again.
This is a below average Thai restaurant. Thai food is one of, if not, my favorite type of dish. It's almost always my go-to whenever I'm hungry but don't have an appetite for anything in particular. Pretty safe choice since it's hard to mess up Thai.
Well, turns out you can and this place proved me wrong. Ordered pad thai, drunken noodle, and thai bubble tea. What makes Thai great is the rich flavor basked in all of their dish. A pad thai is supposed to be pouring with flavor where you can taste sweet, spicy, meat, and the sea all together. But their pad thai tasted... bland. I don't think I've ever had a pad thai that was so flavorless. It tasted like chewing on rice. The drunken noodle had a strong odor that resembles burning incense in temples. Tasted nothing like the drunken noodle I've had at other places. My wife and I ate about a fifth of the order before giving up. They went straight to the trash. But the biggest disappointment by far was the thai bbt. It's supposed to taste creamy and sweet (like fruit loops). But it was downright BITTER. My wife took a sip and unintentionally spat it out. I thought she was overreacting and took a sip afterwards. I nearly vomitted. It legit tasted like ancient Chinese medicine.
I normally give restaurants a second shot in case the first one was a fluke. But this experience was so bad that I won't be touching it even with a ten foot pole.
Great host and outstanding chef. The basil chicken and rice was full of flavor and had just the right amount of heat. I will definitely be back to try some other dishes.
50 cents extra for each take home container, ~4% surcharge for having over 3 people, another ~4% surcharge for paying with card. Mediocre food… really not worth the tremendous amount of money they try to drain from you..
Ordered Pad Thai. Ingredients listed on menu so I alter it to say no beansprout and chives. I pick up take out and there’s green onions in there. I return and said I did not say no green onions because menu did not include green onion. Otherwise I would have ordered with no green onion. They said the menu is outdated and said they would remake it.
They take it back and basically pick out the green onion instead of making me a new pad Thai. I’ve already left and went back to the office. One I could still my taste the green onion on the first bite so dig around. It was great to find several green onions 🧅 they failed to pick out and if you’re wondering how could they miss an obviously “green onion”….it was the white part of the onion they missed. Unfortunately I threw it away after one bite so I couldn’t even tell if the food is actually good. I probably won’t be ordering there again either.
Fix your menu and maybe if you say you remade the pad Thai….actually remake it instead of picking through it and removing an ingredient that obviously adds a distinct taste to the dish.
The best mango sticky rice a must try
I ordered take out for Tom Kha Gai and it was not even spicy as shown on the menu. All I tasted was coconut nut milk and didn't taste lime juice, lemon grass and basically a mix of flavor. For a small 10.00 pint I'd go to Red Bank for a larger serving with so much hardy flavor. I know my Thai food and soups. This was a thumbs down. A quick soup put together.
Good food, nice people serving it .... always enjoy eating here solo as well as with a small/medium-sized group.
We ordered the chicken dumplings, malay chicken curry, and the drunken noodles with chicken. All of it was so so good! The people are also very nice and it has a cozy vibe when eating in.
I am picky about thai food. This restaurant's food was delicious. The server / owner is very friendly. We (4) went to lunch and we were all satisfied.
There wasn't a lot of people there and the food took a very long time....but the food was delicious.
I used to love Pokok, but sadly the quality has diminished significantly. I have taken out 3 different times now (gave 3 chances) and each time has been a disappointment recently. Maybe the cooks have changed? Anyways…I ordered basil fried rice and tom yum fried rice. I’ll be looking for a new Thai place now. Sad.
Love this place! Great Food and excellent customer service too. 🥡🥟🍴🤗♥️
The prawn soup and masaman chicken curry were delicious! So much flavor!
Nice staff, good food and special atmosphere
Very fresh, yummy food! Service was good but they could have been a little more attentive. We would def go back.
Highly recommend this food truck! We ordered from the food truck located at the Jersey Shore Outlets. We ordered the spicy beef basil, drunken noodle, chicken pad Thai, 2 egg rolls and 2 Thai iced teas! The iced tea is da bomb!! The lady that owns the truck and prepared our food was very nice and informative on the dishes we ordered. She gave us a sample of the drunken noodle and oh so good! 5 stars ++++++++++
Wish I can give no starts. We usually do takeouts. We ordered food and they missed on the main ingredient out of our food. When we confronted them, they blocked my phone!
Who does that to their customers?
Disrespectful and dishonest.
We usually do takeout from the place. They literally forgot putting tofu in our stir fry and when we called them they blocked my phone. Who does this to customers. It was their fault and when we confronted they blocked us.
Excellent Thai restaurant with friendly staff. BYOB though, liquor store nearby
I absolutely love this place! When i come to the Freehold area, i always stop in to Pokok to get the Beef Brisket Curry! Their turmeric fried rice is very good.
SO GOOD!!!
5 stars ⭐️
Delicious, delicious, delicious!!!!!! This place was amazing from the start. The service was great! the atmosphere was amazing!!! and the food was to die for. I absolutely had an amazing time.
Not very good. Drove 25 mins. Waited another 10. Chicken was overcooked and Pad Thai was like mush. Not worth the money.
This is one awesome restaurant!! The Chicken Massaman is always on point!!
Pretty decent Thai restaurant that I will go back.
Wonderful food
Ridiculous, I was charged on my bill
.50 cent extra fee for my left over food togo PLASTIC CONTANIER ,never see in my life , Never EVER GO BACK AGAIN ,
Shame on ownership
Pokok has what I would describe as above average to very good Thai food. Pad Thai dish is above average while the drunken noodle dish is delicious. My wife loves the green curry dish. Normally, I'm a bit lenient when rating service at a restaurant, but I had to ask for water not once, but twice upon being seated, yet the tables next to us received water right away. Additionally, I had to ask for the check twice. Service issues aside, Pokok is definitely the best Thai food I've had in Freehold and the surrounding areas, so I will definitely be returning!
Small quantities food very high cost
Amazing food, amazing service, I’ve been twice in less than two weeks and I will keep coming again. Highly recommend this place.
We ordered take out last Sunday for Mother's Day Dinner, and despite the rush in orders, Pokok made our food deliciously! Although we live only five minutes from the restaurant, we never tried it and it was AMAZING! Their food is genuine Thai Cuisine with the right amount of spices! The customer service is great with smiling employees all the time!
The red curry is just phenomenal. The food here is really good but during dinner time, it can take a bit of time for the food to be ready. The quality more than makes up for the wait.
LOVE this AUTHENTIC Thai Restaurant! Delicious specialties, great ambiance, excellent service and reasonable prices make dining here a pleasure! 😘💕💋💄
Great Atmosphere and food was great and service definitely recommend eating there
I have only had take-out from Pokok, but everything I have had except their wonton soup was very good. When compared to all the other Asian restaurants I have tried in the area, their food is fantastic. Their pokok basil fried rice lunch special was really good. Their pad Thai is the best I have had in the area. In fact, all of my comments and ratings are compared to others in the area.
Yummy Thai food. When we got there it was empty, but a Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, and around 7pm. Then people started coming in, a big party of 9, snd several smalker parties, service remained great. We have had takeout from them before but it was our first time eating there, won't be the last. We had dumplings and shrimp spring rolls to start,( My favorite of the 2)and we each had a different meal. For desert my kids ordered mango with sticky rice and ice cream and fried bananas, which we didn't know what it would be exactly, it was fried into spring roll kind of wrapper and served with ice cream, it was great, had 5 pieces so enough to share, we were 5 people and 4 of us had them. Great experience and service. We will be back.
Food was good. I ordered Green Curry with beef. The taste was good, only complaint I have is the beef was tough. They can learn a thing or two about tenderizing beef. My wife ordered the pineapple fried rice and she said it was good. Overall a good experience.
Stood there for 25 minutes without being acknowledged for a table, there was only 1 person working the front part, and it was extremely disorganized. I felt for the guy working there but not even an apology at the clear lack of service. took 20 minutes from being seated to have my order taken and an addition 10 minutes for water to come. Food was pretty good but won't go back
No one spoke English well enough to get the order right it came everything was cold the spare ribs could not be digested poor poor service poor taste this was my 3rd visit
I love Southeast Asian food but this place is not. We ordered 4 dishes- Indian Roti, Seafood Pad Thai, Chicken Pad See Aew and Indonesian fried rice. All of them do not taste good. The indian roti seems to come from a fronzen package not the usual fresh made roti from the oven. The seafood pad thai is soaking wet with sweetness and the chicken pad see aew tasted very salty. The Indonesian frice rice is so soft and wet to the taste I feel like I don't need to chew it just swallow will do. All in all, the food is a 1 star due to the above factors and due to the long wait time for the food to arrive (20 mins). However, the service is good as the waitress was friendly and nice enough to check up on us on a few occasions. I would not recommend and I would not go back.
This restaurant single-handedly made me decide that Thai food is my favorite cuisine bruh it’s so GOOD
Panang Curry is a MUST
The food here is always phenomenal. Maybe the service could be speedier, but then again everywhere is suffering from staff shortages.
Highly recommended, whether eating in, or ordering take out.
First time here and could not be more happy with the food. The portions are perfect and the food was delicious. Their Pad Thai was amazing and the servers are so nice/ welcoming. Definitely will be going back. New go to spot for Thai.
The service is pretty good here. The food was great. We ordered the green curry lunch special and it was amazing! The portions were also larger than I expected for lunch. We also had the drunken noodles, which were average. The crispy tofu and the fried dumpling appetizers were good. Highly recommend the curry!!
Food was ok. Not really authentic Thai food. Service is terribly horrible. Server is willing to charge us 18% tip in the bill even though we have 3 adults and 2 children both under 6 years old. Asked for a side of peanuts for Pad Thai, because one of the kids is allergic with Peanut. They brought out plain Pad Thai and no peanuts and we kept asking for peanuts more than 3 times. Sadly, They all just ignored us, very rude attitude.
Horrible services - pre charged 18% tip at lunch time so they don’t have to serve us. Pad time was served with no peanuts although we already asked for it on the side.
Nice place, average prices, food not the best but pretty good. Spicy food not that spicy but it's a white town. Appreciate that there's some thai food in freehold now.
UPDATE: next time I visited years later there were peanuts in the sauce and I spent hours puking/feeling miserable despite informing them of my peanut allergy :( At least the thai tea was good
UPDATE UPDATE: i came back because food is good. allergies are sus. haven’t had a reaction again… yet 👀
Delicious authentic Thai food. Worth a visit if your looking to try something new or wanting to revisit some tasty memories.
Just loved the juicy delicious Thai food,so soothing to the stomach.👌👌🙏🙏
Excellent. Food excellent service.
It used to be very tasty, now its not clear what. Its not Thailand. Im sorry but I wont be coming back here
Delicious Food. Excellent Service!
Went after visiting the mall and it was such a delightful and surprising place. Great food! We got drinking noodles and fried rice
Good service. Delicious food but a bit pricey.
Good
Pad Thai, chicken satay, sweet and sour pineapple shrimp was amazing. Also the mango sticky rice I was not expecting to be good and it was delicious. Staff also very helpful and friendly.
Great food! Our go to thai restaurant was closed so we decided to try out this place. It was excellent! The beef drunken noodles were amazingly good, as was the thai tea. We finished off with mango and sticky rice for dessert, also delish. Loved the ambiance and the decor. We sat in a nice, comfy private booth decorated with lights and fresh flowers to boot. Our waitress was so kind and courteous. We will definitely return!
Enjoyed the unique atmosphere and pretty furnishings. Food was nice portions and prices reasonable. Clean and fresh tables. Convenient parking and place was busy on Sunday afternoon.
I am only thru soup and I highly recommend. Moved back to the area after 25 yrs in Atlanta and have been trying to find our anchor food spots. This is the first solid place we've found.
Fantastic food.
Love this place! We just moved to the area and wanted some good Thai food. The food is amazing, and they have cozy private booths too. For a family of four with small children, this really helps to manage them and also adds to the ambiance. In addition, the food is just top notch. We've been there three times already, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend them.
This is a little bit late, but in the summer I had so much help from Ray, Lisa, and Chan at Pokok in Freehold. I had a large order for a birthday gathering, and they took extra time to make sure everything was accurate, and that there was additional plates, utensils, sauces, cups, napkins, etc. to make sure everything was smooth and perfect for the evening.
In general, every time I order from Pokok, they are always exceptional. The quality of the food is truly AMAZING! - every single thing is delicious, every single time! And the people there are kind, helpful, and extremely patient, so go ahead and place your large orders with them, as they will make it as effortless of a process as possible for you.
Pokok, thank you for everything! Will order again soon! =)
Delicious food 😋
The place used to be great. We ordered food for pickup recently and it had no taste, no flavor. The green and red curry were so bland! We had to trash out whole order. Wouldn’t order again!
Moved recently to area, this place already won me over. Will be my go to for Thai food for sure.
What an adorable place! We sat in a booth style table for dinner, easily fits 6 people. It was super cozy lined with pillows and even had drapes. We shared veggie curry puffs and fried tofu appetizers which were delicious. For dinner, various protein choices in the pad Thai as well as curry dishes (massaman was great) and finished with various flavors of fried ice cream and sticky rice with mango. Portions are generous as we all took home leftovers, and service was very friendly. Great for groups of people with different kinds of food restrictions. Highly recommended!
Unfortunately my favorite dishes have changed for the worst. The $25 golden curry shrimp no longer has the coating it used to, there's no spice and hardly any flavor at all. And it was literally watery. Tons of green and red pepper filler.
The Green curry with beef had an odd Grey color to it.
Great vibe, selection and service.
Was there for dinner on Saturday night. Really good food and great ambience. The Tom ka ghai soup and mango sticky rice were one of the best soup and deserts I had recently.
Food is always fresh and delish! Service always pleasant 😊..and you dine in a warm atmosphere with authentic music.
Excellent food and service!
Probably the best Thai food in the area, it's a bit on the expensive side and sometimes it can take a little bit for the food to be ready, but the portions are generous and the food is delicious
Went here with my family and the food was delicious! The thai tea, fried wings (appetizer), small salad, and entree (mine and I sampled my husband's) were excellent. I would give 5 stars but my son's phad thai was ok. I've made it at home myself and I prefer mine. I'd definitely eat here again and recommend it to others.
Awesome food! Awesome staff. Fresh flowers. The absolute best food. Sticky rice, the best! Drunken noodles, the best! Great chef!
My advice to the owner to get their previous chef to come back. I’ve been here many times before and food was excellent at all times. This time I was told there is a new chef and I could see difference right away. I order 2 orders of triple taste duck. One of them was ok, but not as good as before, and the second one seemed like I got left overs from some one else’s dish, there was no meet whatsoever, only skin and bones. Never had bones in this dish before. Previous chef was amazing!
We celebrated my husband’s birthday there. The atmosphere is relaxed. Our lady server was very gracious and polite. The food was very good and it’s BYOB too! I highly recommend this place.
The food was incredible and the prices were highly reasonable.
Always a great experience. Food has such great flavor! Best in Freehold!
Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere , and very good food. I'm looking forward to another visit.
Food was great, but felt a bit rushed by the employees. We made an appointment around 730 and I made sure that it was alright with them because I know it was close to their closing time. Took about 15 min for someone to come to our table and then they didn’t tell us when the kitchen closed so we couldn’t order additional foods we wanted to try.
I Love Thai food and have eaten at many of the Thai restaurants I went there with 2 grandchildren. I ordered GLASS NOODLE SALAD . Big mistake. There were 2 shrimp in it, no scallops and fake crab legs. . Nothing like menu described . $18.
My grandkids had fried rice and pad Thai, pot stickers, 4 egg rolls,. 2 iced tea and one desert. $98 !!!!!!!!
I never had paid almost $100 for 3 people not ordering expensive items on menu.
I certainly will not go there.
My favorite Asian restaurant in Freehold . I definitely recommend this place. Very nice stuff and delicious food.
Loved the food, polite service & dining atmosphere. Hard to find excellent Thai cuisine but you nailed it. Thank you!
First time at Pokok and will definitely be ordering/dining-in again soon. Food was excellent. Staff were polite and professional. Take out was a breeze and ready right on time. We especially liked how thoughtful they were in how they packed our take-out order. Noodles were packed separately from the soup so that the noodles would maintain their consistency. The curry puffs were so fresh. It was perfect. All other items we ordered tasted very clean and fresh. We used to go to Queens NY to get good Thai food but now--thankfully--we have something in the area to enjoy. Awesome restaurant!
Amazing! Order the pad see ew all the time. Best thai I've found in jersey
Surprisingly amazing food. Tom yum shrimp soup and rice are delicious!
DELICIOUS 😋
So delicious! Ordered take out tonight, red curry w veg and tofu , pad Thai w veg and tofu and lemongrass fried chicken. Everything was delicious! Can’t wait to go back 😁
Delicious food with great presentation (see pics). Staff is very friendly. Menu has a wide selection with pictures and ingredients listed for those with dietary concerns. BYOB 😁. Staff was busy with takeout orders, apparently they have a very lucrative takeout business too. Will be revisiting.
Great food, friendly staff.
The menu has great options. BYOB. The food was so good and filling we had to take some home. Reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and safe. They made sure tables were 6ft apart. They offer pick up also. We will be back for sure!
Best Thai around! Worth every penny
The food was delicious we got a chicken pad thai. The atmosphere is also great loved eating here!
