Curries, fried rice & other classic dishes offered in an unfussy space with modest decor.
Authentic! Amazing! Tasty! Delicious!
Crunchiest and toasty spring rolls.
The dinner came with an appetizer of a spring roll and a Dailey soup free of charge. Soup was their own recipe and tasted fantastic!!!
Both dishes we had were incredible, pad Thai was fantastic and I am very pleased with our tasteful experience. Definitely has made a favorite.
First time coming to this place. Prices are about average, you do get big portions which I appreciate. We got the fried tofu as an appetizer and drunken noodles for main. The tofu was ok, was more spongy than crispy. The noodles were delicious, my only complain is that the chicken tasted old.
Mom and I ordered two meals: orange chicken with rice and pad thai with noodles.
The orange chicken was fabulous: hot, fresh, lots of chicken; the flavor was incredible. You hear about orange chicken, but it never really TASTES like orange chicken. THIS was TRULY orange chicken. There was lots of chicken. The breading was not too much, like some places tend to make it. Even the presentation was nice and it smelled beautiful.
The other meal, the pad Thai, however, did not meet the same standards. (My mom always knows how to choose a lousy meal.) The noodles were chewy and long as hell; the meal amounted to a plate full of noodles. Mixed in with the plate of noodles was little bits and scraps of chicken. Then you had giant chunks of tofu. (see photos of Tofu below) Tofu? We didn't order tofu. We ordered chicken. It was almost like they put the tofu in to stretch the chicken thinking we wouldn't notice...or, maybe it was on the menu? π€·πΌ And we just didn't notice it? But why would you put tofu and chicken together? Anyway... The chicken that was in the dish was amazing - tasted very good. Would have been nice to have, you know, had more than a few bites.
Oh, and the spring rolls were very tasty as well.
I'll definitely be back, but I will not be ordering the Pad Thai. Or anything with noodle for that matter...
Thai Ocha is a very good Thai restaurant. Whenever I go to a Thai place, I usually go with the Drunken Noodles to see how the food is. Itβs really nice that with the Drunken Noodles it comes with soup and a spring roll. You donβt get to select the soup, rather, they have a soup of the day and today was the Tom Kha which was really good! At most Thai restaurants, itβs pretty standard to be asked what kind of spice you want. I usually go with medium so I ordered my Drunken Noodles medium and it had a really nice spice - nice little kick but nothing too crazy. By default everyone gets a fork, but, I was able to ask for chop sticks so that was nice. Overall, cool vibe, good service, and very good food! Iβd probably say the best Thai food in the Plymouth area!
Place was jam packed and yet they were able to accommodate everyone π― I came 11am on Wednesday and there lots of group of people. I dined outside and I was served with water and the menu. I got the lunch sweet and sour (Thai version) and I got some soup and egg roll (I think) on the side.
Prices were reasonable and the portion size was decent. There wasnβt too much meat. I couldβve probably counted it but it was flavor. Mango sticky rice for dessert is a 10/10
Pretty good Thai restaurant. Complimentary soup and roll is delicious. Pad Thai was little too sweet and not spicy enough even I ordered spicy.
Visited again, ordered drunken noodle βvery hotβ. Order came out β0 hot, max sweetβ.
Couldnβt finish the dish because it was too sweet and salty.
I have passed this restaurant several times for years. Today I decided to give it a try and get a carry out of chicken pad tai. The gentleman that took my order was super friendly and the food came pretty quickly. When I got home I was ready to eat.
The dish was delicious however I was a bit disappointed that I had more tofu than chicken in my order. The chicken was very minimal and that is why I canβt give 5 stars. Other than that the food was good.
Worst experience, went with family and asked for egg on side since one family member vegetarian. They ended up charging us extra for egg, and charged us 18 percent gratuity. We will never step foot in this place again.
We have plenty of good Thai choices near Plymouth but this is my fave for carry out. All good but especially the Larb or Tom Yum soup. You will not be disappointed.
Food was absolutely delicious!
Very good Thai , they have a good brown sauce on their pad Thai, dish does come w a little tofu. Hot and sour soup is killer , this place is solid.
So glad I came here. I've been in Texas for a couple of years, so was sad to see the other place shut down, but came here after reading about it. Absolutely amazing, and so glad I get to continue to have my favorite type of Thai. Northern. I like Southern too though which they have. Loved the hot sour soup. Never had it with noodles since I never knew if I'd like it (I'm weird about textures with tastes) but it's amazing! I'll be back today π
Love their food. But why canβt I order SHRIMP CHIPS FOR DELIVERY. out of all the delivery options shrimp chips are not on the menu !!!! Makes me sad.
The hot & sour soup with shrimp chips is always so good. Super flavorful crab Rangoon too.
Horrible experience

This is fake Chinese food not Thai.
I wanted to try a new restaurant for Thai food. The ratings were really good so I decided to visit Ocha . The food was delicious. The service was wonderful and I canβt wait to go there again.
Our favorite Thai place in Plymouth, great food, great service.
Finally a pad Thai with flavor! Great service.
We ordered panang curry for delivery and substituted the rice for wide noodles. They put the wide noodles in separate containers where they all congealed together by the time they arrive and the curry sauce was basically water/soupβ¦. Itβs like eating nasty raw noodles with spicy warm water.
Amazing food with knowledgeable staff. A great casual place to eat downtown Plymouth.
Mom and I ordered two meals: orange chicken with rice and pad thai with noodles.

1st time visit for lunch and i was impressed. Food was very good. This could be my new favorite. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.
Best Thai i have found. Over 10 years of quality service and food.
The food is excellent. There is a wide variety of choices. The Tom Kar Soup is a bit watery than other places. Hot is very hot. The tea is good too. A couple of servers seem to be stressed so they seem a bit rude.
Love this place, the food is always so fresh and the owner is hilarious.
The pad Thai curry and Kow pad curry from here is mind blowing..!
My fried rice was super sweet to the point where it was inedible. Everyone else loved their food, so maybe I just got a one off bad batch of rice
yummy Thai food and friendly service!
Our go to Thai place! The staff is always friendly and the food Is always delicious. Drunken Noodles, Pineapple Curry, and Yum Salad are particular favorites.

Very good food. Staff are very friendly and courteous. Food is one of the best authentic Thai food you can find in the area. Prices are decent. Always find people waiting for pickup. Has a decent dinning space. Food spices are adjusted well to individual taste and comfort. Dinning service is fast. If you are in Plymouth downtown it is a must to visit if you are up for some good Thai food.
This restaurant really Rocks. Every time I eat here Iβm reminded as to why I come back. The flavors are just mind blowing. Of you like Thai you have to try!
Zero stars. If youβre looking for a master class in terrible service, youβve found it! First, they told me the wait would be 45 minutes, but I ended up sitting around for over an hour before they even let me in. When the food finally arrived, it was the wrong order, and to top it off, it was so undercooked I thought it was still breathing. I flagged it to the server, but all I got was a shrug and some excuse.
This place managed to waste my time, serve me inedible food, and make me feel like I was the problem for even bringing it up. If you value your time, appetite, or even basic decency, do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague.
Do yourself a favor and skip this place. They told us it would be a 45-minute wait, so we patiently waited... and then waited some more. After a ridiculous 35-minute extension, we finally got our foodβand it was the wrong order. Not just a little wrong, it was completely off. Oh, and to make matters worse, the food was raw. Yes, raw. Underseasoned, barely cooked, and totally inedible.
I would have expected this kind of service from a food truck on its last leg, not a restaurant. Save yourself the frustration and go anywhere else.
I placed a pick up order and was told it would be a 35 minute wait. We get there and had to wait an additional 30 minutes, while we were waiting multiple people came in after us and left with their order. A lady walked in and ordered on DoorDash while in the restaurant and got her order while we were still waiting for ours! And then after waiting for over an hour we finally get our food only for it to be wrong. The manager was called and they refused to give me a refund. Said I had to come back on Monday to speak with the owner. Who has time for that?!! This order was placed on Friday night! Horrible, horrible customer service. Such a shame considering how much I love their food, wonβt be ordering from them any time soon if ever.
Four of us met there for dinner, two having driven an hour to get there, we got there about 20 minutes before our friends so decided to walk around. When we got back to the restaurant about 15 minutes later, one of the people had come out of the restaurant yelling at us for parking in their parking lot, but we were walking around when we were actually there to eat. Itβs not like the parking lot was crowded. There was only two vehicles in the entire lot, which shouldβve Been a sign. Everyone who worked there couldnβt smile to save their life.. The prices were extremely high, so I figured that the food would be really good because who would charge that much money for terrible food. The appetizers were OK but the food was horrible. The shrimp was cooked way too long and was very hard to even bite through I ate two and that was it. Another person ordered a dish that was so salty. They couldnβt eat it and somebody else ordered a different kind of a shrimp dish. They only had two shrimp in it mind it was Almost $20 just for that dish when we asked for more of the shrimp chips, she came over and literally threw a bag on the table and said, thatβll be three dollars very rudely. Several times we mentioned how overcooked my shrimp was and how salty our other friends was, and we were met with blank stares. So for four people, the bill was $167, yikes. That wouldβve been semi acceptable if the food were good, but it was not. the bathrooms were filthy the workers all rude with RBF. The only people I would suggest this restaurant to are people I donβt like. All I can say is. I VERY MUCH DO NOT RECOMMEND. I wish we had read the reviews like you are before we went. Save yourself a time and money and disappointment and go somewhere else, literally anywhere else. For the record, the date we went was October 26, 2024.
Love the food. Love the staff

Both dishes we had were incredible, pad Thai was fantastic and I am very pleased with our tasteful experience. Definitely has made a favorite.
Probably the worst experience Iβve had at a restaurant in a long time. The food was horrendous, weβre talking frozen veggies and a bottled sauce bad. My husband ordered the pad Thai and it came with very little tofu, when he commented they said they only put 10 pieces on it.
We let them know how displeased we were and they refused to take anything back.
Overall bad service. Bad food. Zero reason to go here
This place has the worst customer service I have seen in the service industry. We ordered appetizers and specifically asked for it to be vegetarian. Our food had meat in it after we specified for it not to.
The server then went on to say what do you want us to do now , instead of asking how can we make it better. I have never been treated this way at a restaurant. The unfortunate part is that we came here often because my family liked the food but they are absolutely awful to the customers.
The food here is great. Their crab rangoon is the best around!
Had the kow pad with no spice. Food is good, service is quick. I would recommend for a quick lunch or take out for dinner.
I order from here all the time on Uber. And today their telling me they can't add shrimp chips to my order when, they have done it many times before. Bunch of bull sht

Iβve been a fan for years and years
Love Thai Ocha. Never had a bad meal here and the service is always friendly.
The customer is always wrong!!
We have had several sketchy experiences here, Monday (summer 2023) was the last. My wife ordered a dish mild, it was served with quite a bit of heat. She brought it all home for me to try and it was definitely βhotβ by any other Thai restaurant Iβve been to. We had to toss it. At the store she talked to the owner/manager. He said, too bad order another dish with no spice. This weird owner behavior has happened many times. They do not abide by the βcustomer is always rightβ, or could possibly be right, or try to please the customer. Occasionally, the food is good but you get a thimbleful of chicken in your order. Cheap. We now can no longer overlook poor customer treatment. We are now done. Looking for another local Thai place that doesnβt take customers for granted with rude behavior.
PS: Owner actually said βyou paid for the first one, you can pay again for the second one too if we remake itβ. For the other reviews which say itβs the worst customer service- sorry, I tried to warn you.
October 2023 Update: our search is over for a Thai place in Plymouth. Thai Spoon 2 on Ann Arbor Rd. They are friendly, excellent food, value and the flavors and presentation was amazing. Is the difference between night and day at this restaurant versus Thai Ocha, where every visit was an issue.
I ordered the chicken pad Thai, it was so sweet. It tasted like it had tons of sugar in it. I am diabetic so I told her I didnβt like it and I wanted to order something else. They made me pay for it, even though I didnβt eat it, and I only had one bite. I have never had that happen to me at a restaurant before, I told him why are you making me pay for this when Iβm not eating it. So then the waitress came back and said OK weβre only charge you for half of the meal you did not like.. I paid it and Iβll never go back there again, do not order the pad. Thai it is horrible.
Owner is super cool and Thai Ocha has amazing soup! β€οΈ
tasty food, good food good life
First time there. I don't live near by but will definitely visit again.
If you like Thai than go :)
It was good food. The service definitely was poor. Our food was delivered separately a few minutes apart. They never returned to our table for anything after the food was delivered.
Absolutely the worst Thai and customer service I've ever experienced
Food was delicious & plentiful!
Great quality food and amazing service!
My third time coming here eveytime I come itβs something different this time i received my dinner not lunch special in this small bowl I paid extra for extra vegetables which made my dinner $18 this is not worth 5 itβs no vegetables that comes in here only big bell peppers and onions which does not usually come in this dish this is horrible Iβm not liking it at all. Itβs usually Broccoli, corn, and other vegetables I literally have three giant pieces of bell pepper π«
Got the Pad Almond and was delicious. Always been a go-to for Thai.
Great food. Lots of options.
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Best Thai food I've ever had and had been that way since I first tried them back when they were Thai Cafe.
Absolutely phenomenal, staff is friendly, food is great, tables cleaned after every guest. If you want a chill atmosphere and delicious Thai food I would stop in and give this place a shot!
Food 3.5/5- In terms of Thai cuisine, this is pretty average. Siam crispy rolls were pretty good, but both green and peanut curries need to be simmered down more so the broth is slightly thicker. Pad thai and pineapple fried rice are average, and the thai iced tea is way too sweet.
Service 1/5- This is my go-to whenever Iβm in Plymouth, but never dined in; always did take out. Today, I decided to take my family here for Motherβs Day, and dined in. Mind you, itβs a 40-minute drive from my house to Plymouth. However, it was just a bad service day. Only one of the staff actually smiles- all the others just have a resting mean face. Even the woman who took our orders didnβt say hi or anything and no smiles throughout. I could forgive that though as thatβs not the worst part. So they have their own lot for parking, and when we were done eating, we decided to go around a bit. I figured since itβs Sunday and literally all of Plymouth is free parking, we can just keep the car in Thai Ochaβs lot, and come back. The owner chased us outside as we were walking away and yelled at us (in front of other customers) saying heβll only allow us a few more minutes to park there. This disappointed me the most- after paying nearly $130 for lunch, they couldnβt allow us to park there and come back? The parking lot was not full at all, no cars were waiting to park, and it was a Sunday so we werenβt taking advantage of their free parking. We moved our car to the establishment next door and had no issues. I chose Thai Ocha out of all the restaurants in downtown Plymouth as itβs Asian-owned and wanted to support fellow Asians. In short, I will not support this establishment moving forward. Treat your customers better.
One of our favorite places
Guess business is good so they don't care. Guy taking my call was not patient at all. Treat your custom with repects please.
Excellent food and customer service. I really like their dining area too, much improved from several years ago. They are overall awesome!!
Clean and contemporary ambiance with ample parking. Thai Ocha has an extensive menu that caters well to vegetarians and offers the flexibility to customize the spice levels of dishes. The food was great, prices were decent and the service was fast and friendly. My wife and I will be back!
Satay Gai was super delicious, and so was the Pad Thai! Loved the shrimp chips that they give every table!Staff is friendly and very attentive!
Wow the food tonight was SOOOO salty! What a disappointment. Won't be back
First time here. Huge selection of traditional dishes, salads, and much, much more. We got the drunken noodles, they were delicious! Everything was fresh, seasoning was great, cooked perfectly. This is a very pleasant place to dine, it's clean, modern and casual. This is much nicer than a typical Chinese or Thai restaurant. Service was fast and friendly, food came out in minutes even though it was a relatively full restaurant. When the check came I was shocked at how low the prices were, under $30 for dinner for two. Great find.
Very tasty. And I am very picky with my Thai.
I've been here many times. On 4/14/24, the place was sub par in several ways. The take out wait was long in spite of a sparse crowd. The crispy Siam rolls were not crispy at all. They were soggy. The Pad Noodles were glued together. The spice level was not as claimed. Very disappointed.
Enjoyed a delicious meal at Thai ocha! They have a variety of vegetarian options available. The fresh rolls, Panang curry, red curry 3 and drunken noodles were all flavorful and well-prepared. I especially appreciated that they offer vegetarian versions of their dishes, maintaining the authentic taste. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend trying their diverse menu!
Great food--all 4 of us thought so. I liked the music thay had playing too.
Very good Thai. Almost anything can be prepared vegetarian.
Celebrated my husbandβs bday here with a party of 22 and I was blown away by the service! Everything came on time and paying was a breeze! And as always, the food was amazing! Thank you so much for a great night!
Ordered from here for the first time the other day, got the Chicken Pad Thai and it was FANTASTIC! Think Iβll be back really soon!
They are always SO nice at the counter, and I canβt say much about the atmosphere because Iβve never eaten in, however it seems nice whenever I pick up orders for DoorDash!
OMG the food is so delicious! A little pricey.
If you have A SEAFOOD ALLERGY, DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! I specifically ordered drunken noodles (veganized) and inquired about the presence of FISH SAUCE due to my ALLERGY. The staff assured me there was no fish sauce used. However, the next day, I experienced a severe ALLERGIC REACTION! as evidenced by the condition of MY ARM and other parts of my body. This incident demonstrates a serious disregard for customer health and safety. Management needs to take immediate action to address this issue, whether it's ensuring accurate ingredient information or reevaluating their food preparation processes.
Donβt order crisp duck, $25 bucks for only 4 pcsπ€
Lots of vegetarian options, everything was amazing
Ordered drunken noodle medium with no carrots and it had absolutely no seasoning or spice. Was on my 30 min lunch. Called back to let them to and see what they'd do and was told next time they'll give me some extra packs of spice to make it to my liken. Made me feel as if I didn't know how this dish should taste ad I eat it quite often. No attempt to make it right as the food was horrible I had to throw it out so needless to say, I didn't eat anything for lunch.
We ordered green curry, pad Thai noodles and scrimp fried rice Thai style. The food delivery was prompt. Food was hot and tasty. When we come again to this side of the state we will keep this place in mind. Thank you for giving us a wonderful girls lunch date.
Been going here for years! I have never order a bad thing, everything taste amazing. Food looks perfect and taste perfect!
Happy man smiling faces
Love it, great food.
It felt uncomfortable when I walked in. Was the last to get waited on. Didnβt get simple things like straws and napkins had to ask for it . Ordered the see yew (o order this often) didnβt like it, had one bite and asked to replace it . They still made me pay. Also was weird that we walked in and they were playing hip hop and and rnb and turned it off when we walked in. Every song I sang they turned π I really want to believe It was just happenstance but honestly Iβm so uncomfortable I donβt think it is. And yes Iβm African American
Food is too salty and tea is too sweet, I told the owner immediately, she didnβt exchange. I wouldnβt recommend this restaurant, bad experience, service is bad! never coming back!!
I'll be honest - I mostly come here for the crushed ice slushy bubble tea drinks. It's the best thing for a hot day, and so delicious.
Good Thai food. They have particularly good crab rangoons. If you go here, get the crab rangoons. If you get carry-out, get the crab rangoons.
We asked the older man who owns/manages the restaurant to please turn down the music as is was extremely loud and hurting our ears. Instead, he turned up the music volume and said, "Don't touch my music--what is wrong with you?" I had not touched the music equipment, rather had asked him politely to do so. I have rarely encountered such rudeness and disrespect from a restaurant manager. Also, the food which in the past was quite good has gone downhill. The egg drop soup which came with the lunch was served lukewarm (I didn't eat it out of safety concerns due to the temperature). The spring roll was greasy. My wife ordered her dish with "no spice" and it was served fairly spicy and she was only able to eat a small portion. My drunken noodles were pretty good, but not as flavorful as they were in the past, and needed more basil--they were somewhat bland. The only positive is that our two (female) servers were both very good.
If you like nats flying around your head while you eat, along with service so bad and rude that youβre shocked itβs a 4 star establishment at all. Food is mediocre at best, save your money and peace of mind from this rude establishment. Will not be back with my children again.
I recently dined at a Thai restaurant and had an exceptional experience. The food was delicious, showcasing authentic flavors, and the service was impeccableβattentive and friendly. The restaurant's ambiance added to the overall enjoyment, creating a delightful dining atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Been going to this place since it opened and I have to say the food has changed, a lot. Not for the better. Changing recipes because they want to omit ingredients does not make it the same dish. The quantity is not the same. You been charging more because things cost more which is fine. But I expect to get the same amount of food. My co-worker did not appreciate the 2 sliver of chicken on his order. On top of that it was the wrong dish. Sad my favorite Thai food restaurant is no longer my favorite.
Our pad thai is tasty. Medium has just a touch of heat, which was fine. The pork egg roll was completely burnt. So disappointed they pulled it out of the fryer and packaged it with our order. Bad business...we will not be back
We tried to make a reservation by calling in and the person who attended the call was so very rude and mentioned only walk-ins. When we went to the restaurant we were told only takeoutβs are available even though the closing time wasnβt for another hour.
If this place ever got less than five stars, there was a fluke that day. In my opinion, the ladies that work here are hard workers, the cook delivers delicious food, and itβs generally a decent atmosphere. I write a lot of complaints on my reviews- I have none here. For 21 bucks, after tip, I had a delicious lunch.
We got their special dish of the day Mango spicy sauce chicken with rice . It tasted more like the orange chicken from panda. It was too sweet for me . The chicken was fresh and tender. Would have liked it better if it had more spice . Also got their chicken drunken noodles and pad Thai ( on weekends they serve dinner portion size ) . They both were delicious. Overall good . Service was quick . Parking is convenient
Ordered medium spicy peanut noodles, veggie ramen along with veggie rolls and mango sticky rice, would go here again π
Love this place. Recommend the Papaya salad (super fresh), the curry (panang my favorite) and the pad Thai. All the dishes are excellent.
Food was ok when I actually received mine, ten minutes after the others at my table received their meal. I had to ask even. I think their very busy take out impacts their dine in service. Was good but not great.
Great variety of delicious meals. Service is always friendly and top-notch. It's a bit further from my home but worth the drive.
Wow great food. Can't wait to come back. Impressed my out of town guest who commented it was the best Thai food he's ever had. I was in Thailand a few months ago and the pad Thai here is almost as good as Bangkok IMHO.. the waitress was over her head though and it took a long time to get served, i have to ask several times for my Thai Tea..which was nice and sweet btw
Great place to eat!
Thai Ocha is my local Thai food haven. The Green Curry is a must-try, and the portions are generous. The restaurant has a welcoming vibe, and the staff is always attentive, making it a fantastic choice for a Thai dining experience in Plymouth.
Amazing a must try. Love the owners and food has so much flavor. Love the crab ragoon and duck. Shrimp chips too
We tried to order by calling in and the person who attended the call was so very rude. When we asked for veggie fried rice, she was like what meat you want and we said we want veggie fried rice and she goes do you look at the menu before calling in and started yelling. The worst ever customer call we have been through. I will never ever want to order food there.
I have had Thai food before, but it has been a long time since the food made me want to immediately take my husband here after going there with friends and simultaneously not want to share any of my leftovers with him. So I didn't share. It was so so so good.
We have been getting takeout from here the past few yearsβit is always a hit or a miss situation here. Sometimes the food is really really good, and sometimes it is not great. They are allergy friendly in terms of peanut, gluten, and dairy allergy. Overall, I would recommend.
Love the food here. The staff are wonderful. Highly recommend. We always go for the drunken noodles, Thai fried rice, pad Pak, and spring rolls. Always so much food.
Been here four times and everything was great and flavorful every time! Their Pad thai is our favorite so far, definitely coming back.
Really bad food. Soggy noodles. Terrible pad thai. Terrible crab cheese rangoon - all nasty fried dough and not even cooked properly. Orange chicken was ok, had half an orange on top, but nothing to write home about. Overall just bad. Bad bad bad. The only nice thing was the waitress was polite. I would absolutely never set foot in this place again though. There are much better options in the area.
Pretty tasty curry and really good boba milk tea.
Excellent from top to bottom. 5 Stars!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at TAI OCHA Restaurant , during lunchtime, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The bustling atmosphere did not deter the staff from providing top-notch service, and the food exceeded my expectations.
As a fan of Thai cuisine, I opted for the Tai Noodle Soup, while my companion chose the Red Curry Beef and Vegetables, both ordered at a medium spice level. The aroma that wafted from the kitchen was enticing, and we eagerly awaited our meals.
Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was prompt and attentive. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and ensured that our dining experience was enjoyable. The staff's efficiency in delivering our food promptly was commendable, considering the lunch rush.
The Tai Noodle Soup was a delightful blend of flavors and textures. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of spices. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the addition of fresh vegetables and tender pieces of meat made it a satisfying and comforting dish.
The Red Curry Beef and Vegetables was a true highlight. The curry had a luscious, creamy consistency, and the beef was tender and succulent. The medley of vegetables added a delightful crunch and freshness to the dish. The medium spice level provided just the right amount of heat, enhancing the flavors without overpowering them.
The presentation of the dishes was visually appealing, with vibrant colors and attention to detail. Each bite was a burst of flavors that left us craving for more. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring we left the restaurant feeling satisfied.
Overall, TAI OCHA Restaurant, left a lasting impression on me. The combination of great service, timely delivery of delicious food, and the bustling yet inviting atmosphere made for an unforgettable lunch experience. I highly recommend TAI OCHA to anyone seeking authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine in the area. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu offerings.
A Gem in Plymouth - Thai Ocha
Nestled near the heart of Plymouth on N Main Street, Thai Ocha is a hidden gem that promises a delightful dining experience. The ample parking in front of the restaurant is a convenient perk, making it a hassle-free visit.
This Thai eatery distinguishes itself from its neighbors through its cozy and inviting atmosphere. The recent renovation was undoubtedly worth it. As soon as you step inside, you can feel the positive change.
The menu is what you'd expect from a Thai restaurant, offering a classic array of dishes. We delved into various selections, and they were not only scrumptious but also generously portioned. Without a doubt, a hearty recommendation for anyone seeking an authentic Thai taste.
One thing to note, though, is the spice level recommendations. They tend to be more on the milder side. As a self-proclaimed spice enthusiast, I initially aimed for level 5, but after a description of level 3, I hesitated and ordered level 4. To my disappointment, it lacked the kick I was craving. So, don't be afraid to be a bit adventurous with your spice preferences; go one level higher if you enjoy some heat.
In terms of value for money, Thai Ocha hits the mark. The prices are fair, and you get what you pay for, which is quality Thai cuisine.
The service was friendly, though it seemed like our server had only just set foot in the place before we arrived. A little more experience would certainly enhance the overall dining experience.
Thai Ocha in Plymouth is a must-visit for those in search of authentic Thai flavors in a charming setting. Be daring with your spice level choice, and you won't be disappointed. Great value for your money, even if the service is still finding its footing.
Best Thai Iβve had in the Detroit area.
I have lived nearby for years and just discovered this Thai spot! Love it, super friendly service, best won ton ever!
(Updated Sept 2023) Was surprised to see this place is MUCH different than the Thai restaurant that used to be here for years. Ordered carryout. Was given 2 soups with our lunch order, which I wasn't expecting, but it was nice.......except for the fact that the soup was COLD. I live 5min from the place. No way it was hot when it was packaged. The pad thai was pretty tasty, but the noodles were kind of undercooked and all stuck together. Also not sure if these strange chunks in it were tofu or bread. I bit into one and it was like squeezing out a wet sponge. Ordered chicken pad Thai, but it's mostly egg with maybe 4 or 5 small chunks of chicken. I'd order again...and hope next time it's a bit better.
Great place to grab thai food.
Food under cooked fried rice was not cooked rice ,hard rice.
20% large party fee if you dine in with 4 kids and 2 adults. Family of six is considered a large party.
Manager and waitress rude attitude .
Definitely not coming back.
Great food! Clean atmosphere and friendly staff!
Ordered a dish from & when it was brought home it was not edible, squid was obviously bad & there was a roach in bottom of bowl. When I called to let them know they told me to bring it back, which I did. The gentleman at front counter with the missing teeth start berating me & said I had eaten some of it, of course thatβs how I found the roach & realized the squid was bad. He went on the say they would make something else but it would be the same price as my original dish. Really?? You might want to reconsider eating here
Food is way to Salty, even after asking them to keep it less Salty. I think the vendor they use for their Thai curry cans that comes from the old country is way to salty.... They have tried to water down the curries but they are way salty for me.... And I barely complain on any food π... I have told them several times but they can't fix it so always hesitant to try their food.
This place is our go-to when we have friends and family visiting. Amazing thai food with great service and never a wait. Their garlic fried rice is my favorite, but everything Iβve had is delicious. :)
My Favorite food and this crew did not dissapoint.
I have been getting food at Thai ocha for a couple of years. However the last couple of times the food has been an utter disappointment, not sure if they have a new cook or new management. Usually I get the drunken noodles with fried tofu at a level hot. The noodles have been very bland. No sauce or spice added to them. This past order of mine was spring rolls, crab Rangoons and fried rice. The rolls had been fried in old oil. They had a very bitter taste. The crab rangoons were not crunchy at all but instead soggy and raw. The rice was good except that the tofu was this spongy thing instead of firm tofu usually used. Thai ocha, I want to stay a loyal customer but please fix your food issues! This is not acceptable even after the price hikes! When the young man answered I told him about my issues and his only solution was that they would add more sauce. It was not the usual old sweet man who answers the phone.
Meals have always been pricy here, but lately the cost and portion size has not met the quality of food received. Dine-in service has gone steadily downhill the last few years.
On my most recent visit I ordered yellow curry. $13-14 for a portion the size of my fist. Container was half-full. I know inflation is tough these days. But that much money for a scoop of rice, a quarter of a carrot, half of a small potato, and 3 or 4 ounces of beef? That's stretching it.
Hole in the wall with really good foodΒ‘l.
Asked for a vegetarian drunken noodle with only mixed vegetables but they gave us one with eggs. Extremely disappointed.
